Vixen's View
From Chronicles
Vixen's View is a small, privately created and owned radio program that is based in Kingsdale. It has a range of about 300 miles around the city as far as listening in goes, the frequency used one that has seldom seen activity. Within its range of influence, the signal broadcasts clear and strong, though where Vixen broadcasts from is not generally known. It is clear, however, that she can broadcast on site from almost anywhere via smaller, lower power radios that she sometimes carries with her.
The signal is unencrypted and broadcast for all to hear who tune into the frequency while within range of the signal.

Contacting
Vixen maintains a post office box that correspondence, donations and material can be sent to. She's made an open appeal to the people of Kingsdale to send any little bit of interesting audio or video they might record, stating she can't be everywhere at once.
This is an open means for PCs and Staff to provide content or try and make use of her radio broadcast. Contact Vixen either ICly in an RP or through @Mail or pages to approach this.
Format
The show's format is a loose one at the moment. When Vixen is not broadcasting or rebroadcasting her talk segments, a mix of music is played. From trance to Techno, Rock to Classical, she covers the spectrum with public domain and custom music. She also plays songs by local small name talent that is sent to her.
This background music is interrupted at irregular intervals for on the spot content from Vixen herself as she moves about the city. This isn't too uncommon. Typically one to two times a day these interruptions will come in. Usually for a quick interview or a brief bit of talk on a current, interesting event. Beyond this, she will periodically broadcast moments of personal exposition and opinion on events.
Everything she broadcasts is repeated later, spaced out in hour intervals the first few days after the content is first broadcast, with increasingly infrequent periods over the next week or two before it falls off the table and is archived.
Note: I won't make masses of posts, but just because I don't post things for Vixen's show, doesn't mean there's nothing on it. It just means what is on it isn't deeply important to the moment or prominent. This is important as I won't always have things or time or creativity to write up posts for her broadcasts on a daily basis. Just keep in mind, she's never silent ICly. Unless I note an odd level of lack in her regular broadcasting.
Video
Vixen will be putting out PDDs along with her radio stylings. For the time being, she's only making 100 copies of these when they come out, selling for about 50 credits each. So there won't be enough, likely, that originals will always be available(depends on how popular she becomes, which I'd relegate to staff to determine). But even then, with the freedom to replicate the PDDs makes it easy to get a copy from someone else. None of her PDDs, unless specifically stated, will be closed or have protections of any sort on any of the content.
I've been mulling over the precise format of the posts for the PDDs and have decided that it will be part linked part described. When it comes to events in RPed scenes, I'll be pointing towards logs with links. One can go to the log and see what parts are noted as being recorded by my poses as Vixen(they'll be obvious, even choreographed at times, as to what she's filming in particular). So go through the log and view the contents to see what's what. If there is anything that isn't shown, I'll likely noted it with the link. She tends to provide things with minimal editing to keep things tight without leaving out what's important.
In addition will be a few paragraphs for other content and other details that are notable about the contents of the PDD.

The End
December 1, 106 PA Vixen’s view went off the air with the following message as the final transmission. Vixen herself went into a fitful state of torpor. Not gone, but just quiet. What she’d been up to during that time is largely unknown. As some might know and others might not, Vixen's View had gone silent for several weeks recently. The music would still play, but Vixen herself has been nowhere to be seen. She's not been out, she's not been at her place(or not answered any knocks) and has, for all intents and purposes, vanished off the face of the earth.
All that changed suddenly, midday of December 1st, 106 PA. The music stopped and, after a few moments Vixen spoke on air once more.
"Hey people. Ain't sure how many of you are listening still. Guess it don't much matter no more. I'm sure many of you were wondering what's going on. I ain't given details. Lets just say I needed an away. In a serious way. I'm back, but don't get excited. I've decided that this just isn't me. Or.. isn't what I should be doing. Don't rightly know what's me, but though I love doing this something about it just ain't right.
Vixen's going off the air officially. How long? Not sure.. maybe until it feels right again. But I'm still going to be out there and the camera ain't getting mothballed. I just won't be official no more. Gunna find me a new gig.. a better gig for now.
If you're still listening, then you've got Vixen's love. Ain't many people I can say got that kind of loyalty to me. If you ain't, no hard feelings. I know what its like to be abandoned. I ain't holding it against you. The PO box will still be open. So if ya really need me, you know where to find me. Might not be official, but that don't mean I ain't fighting the good fight no more. Just choosing new ground.
Be good."
And after that, the signal goes cold.
The Return
November 13, 107 PA, Vixen’s signal came alive again abruptly and without warning, with the following message: It comes suddenly, though likely only modestly realized at first. The dead air on a particlar radio signal suddenly ends and the static clears. A few moments pass before a clear, flinty voice comes through in a soft whisper.
"Did you miss me?"
Vixen laughs, an expression of pure, almost wicked delight tangible through the sound of her voice. "Doesn’t matter because I'm back baby. Listen, like it and love it Kingsdale. Because if you didn't, why would you be listening? But oh, I'm not back just for laughs. Don’t touch that dial. Serious fucking business calls me back to the fray. Listen up, I've got some Word for you."
Her voice nears the mic and lowers softly and conspiratorially. "The motherfucking Deadboys are on the move." Her voice eases back and rises in volume again as she goes on. "But not with guns and bombs, their standard procedure of blowing shit up when they don’t like it. No, they're up doing that with Tolkeen. Here they're playing the politics game. The subtle game that uses modest words and smiling faces."
Her voice lifts, incredulous. "My game! Now who can pass up a gauntlet like that? But unlike them, I’m not here to bullshit you, people. Never have, never will. I give it straight, even when it hurts."
Vixen laughs again and then settles into a light, casual conversational tone. "If you didn’t hear, they made nice at Laramy a few days ago. Their boy on the ground was a smooth operator. Hell, if he wasn't an anti-freedom asshole, I'd have a beer with him. But the moderate voice didn't fool me. I might not have invented the game, but I know a player when I see one and he was looking to play out a line and draw in some fish. Did he hook any? Dunno, but I made sure there was another view there. Someone to remind people what the Coalition stands for. Intolerance. Ignorance. False freedom. You might be safe locked up in a cage, told how your life will progress and shoved into your little place in the machine, but it’s still a fucking cage. But hell, maybe some people like cages. If they want to give themselves up for safety, let ‘em."
"And get this.. on the way out, he got frustrations taken out on him. Yup, word is he got misted. I won't be shedding tears because you know his kind wouldn't shed none for me. And it wasn’t exactly a surprise. Now the CS is trying to capitalize, pretending that means our area is dangerous and could use some Deadboy patrolling. Smart, but not subtle. They say they want to help, but I’m sure you folk are smart enough to see the lie and the real aim. They want to get people in our area that won’t get their shit blown up. Spying right out in the open."
Vixen snorts and notes, "You and I know why the Major got misted. Wasn't random and the ones that did it probably don't care about trade caravans. He was a prime target. Coalition brass that wasn't locked up in their big, ugly cities or in the middle of more grunts than you could shake a stick at. As vulnerable as they get if you can’t catch them in the can with their pants down. He knew the risk, rolled the dice and lost. Period."
Her voice continues steadily, with a simple and focused conviction. "The last thing that justifies is more Deadboys in our backyard. If Laramy can't pick me up, you gotta go tell 'em. Hell, even if they can, you go tell 'em, cause I’m thinking about another trip down there. Even getting this nice, new truck. Might toss a few of you in the back if you want to head down with me. But someone’s gotta make sure they got the straight facts. Nothing is more dangerous than letting the Coalition in. You want help, you come to Kingsdale."
Vixen goes on, “That’s right. You come to the neighbor who isn't looking to tempt you people away into a cage of ignorance and fear. You come to the ones that won't be hassling D-bees and mages and spying right out in the open. Got enough trouble watching for secret spies without inviting in the obvious ones to settle in."
A pause, then she goes on to add, "And this goes out to you, Kingsdale Council. Cause if you ain’t listening to this or got some cronies keeping tabs, then I’ll be really disappointed. Time to put up or shut up. You going to let those fuckers slip their pinky in? Or are you going to man up and show Laramy we got their back and they don’t have to lean on the Deadboys if trouble comes? Enough pussyfooting around. The Skulls are throwing the gauntlet down at your feet. Let them get that pinky in and it can only get worse. Time to make sure the Coalition knows they ain't wanted around here."
"This is your Video Vixen and that's My Word. What's yours? The PO Box ain’t changed, so you send it in to me. But hang tight kiddies. I've got the major's two days of talk. With and without my translation. The PDD will be out there soon. You folks pay the few credits for the media and you can copy and distribute it as you like. Don't let it be said Vixen won't let the other guy talk. From beyond the grave even. So if you didn't make it, don't you worry. You'll get every word and the exciting end of day two. Once I get a hundred copies burnt out, I’ll be out on the street to hand them out at cost. Then it’s up to you."
"This is The View and its powering back up. More music and more real Word for all. You just hang tight and keep your ear open, my lovelies. This message is coming right back at you, every half hour. Tell your friends. Tell your enemies. Shout it out from the rooftops if you feel a little nutty. Just don’t fall off when you do." The last laced with a casual laugh amid the amused tone.
And the transmission ends. But the signal doesn't go silent long before a new music mix comes on. It will roll for the rest of the half hour before the above repeats and it will do so for the whole day.
