Description
The club is a liberal mix of modern and classic styles with a dark, warm lean to the hardwood and metal decor, dressed up with velvet and leather. Set up about the stage with attached DJ station and dance floor at the center, the entrance is set to one end of this, the bar to the other. The entrance itself is tightly controlled. There are always two well dressed people at the front, a bouncer to check each person coming in and another watching the drum and closet lockers that hold all patron weapons.
A broad , semi circular stage extends from the center of the widest wall, rising two feet, with lights rimming the edge and hidden in scaffolds high above. A rich red velvet curtain lies ready to sweep about and veil the stage itself from view. The DJ booth is set up right next to the stage, set into the same wall. With a thick window and biometric locks on the two side doors, one to the stage and the other to a set of stairs down, the equipment within is secure. Within a C shaped desk and racks hold the sound equipment, all linked into a central computer. All done up in sleek, dark cases, mixing well with the warm, wood paneling of the booth's exterior.
A dance floor is central to the club, laid out in a broad circle before the stage. Laid out in a semi circle opposite the stage side of the dance floor are a series of round tables, with smaller two person sized ones at the edge, with larger four person tables in the next row and a few grand six to eight person tables on the outer edge. All staggered to make for the best view for all to the dance floor and stage. To one side of this central focus is the bar, a broad affair taking up much of the shorter wall in width. The bar itself is a mix of modern and classic, with the simple, elegant hardwood design of the bar itself mixing with the display of alcohol behind it, opaque plastic shelves lit from within to highlight the wide selection of common and uncommon liquors for sale. The barstools themselves, lined up in a neat row, mix dark metallic stems with comfy red leather seats.
The Daily Schedule
Before 5 PM every night except Monday. The bar is open and the dance floor is open, but most of the music is automated on a random selection of various styles of dance music. Only the more tasteful rock, metal and electronica make the cut. From noon to 4 PM Karaoke is allowed on request. The club closes for four hours from 2 AM to 6 AM to clean up and restock. The music will be loud, but not adversely so. This is a tasteful club, not a rave, grunge bar or the like.
- Monday - Club is closed. No RP should occur here on Mondays save for club staff related RP or prebooked RP.
- Tuesday - Live acts are on stage these evenings. These are small time, but not amateur acts, usually music though occasionally there might be a magician or other artistic act thrown into the mix. Entertainment starts after 5 PM and often will be focused on a single headliner who will perform for most of the night.
- Wednesday - DJed music and dance are on the menu. Happy Hour means drinks are half price after 5 PM.
- Thursday - Amateur Night. After 5 PM amateur acts are given the stage.
- Friday - From 5PM and on, the night is all DJed music with requests taken. The selection of music is wide, including rock, metal, R&B, electronica and romantic.
- Saturday - Short live acts(music, magic, performance, etc) from 5PM and on mingled with periods of DJed music and dance.
- Sunday - A dance and music night, starting from 5 PM, though the music selection is softened. Mostly smooth R&B and softer rock and a little more romance tossed into the mix.
RP Info
- All MDC weapons will be checked before one is allowed to enter. No exceptions, save for staff. Large SDC weapons will be checked as well. SDC knives and other small hand weapons will be allowed, as will armor be allowed in.
- The front has two forms of lock up for weapons. Small hand weapons are locked up in an electronic 'drum' enclosure, a wide circular vault that the weapons are placed into by the owner. A key is produced for their compartment with an ID number on it. All they need do to retrieve it is enter the ID, then use the key to open up the compartment once it is spun to face them. Anything larger than a good sized pistol(Like swords and such) is locked up in a larger locker nearby, managed by one of the bouncers. He hands out ID tabs to make sure the right weapon goes back to the right person and won't give up a weapon without the proper ID tab.
- There is a strict rule about magic and psionic powers. They aren't to be used against any other patron within the establishment. It's posted openly at the door and attention is called to it when one enters. This is a flexible rule to a point. Pranks will get you a warning the first time or few, but constant use will get you a temp ban. Dangerous use of powers will get a response appropriate to the severity of the offense.
- The bar is well stocked and has a mix of cheap, modest and expensive drinks. Rare drinks are just that, rare. This place won't have anything too obscure or from alternate dimensions. So keep it within reason. The bartenders are all good mixologists, however and most mixed drinks in existence are available.
