Weather at Sun Oct 04 08:02:44 105 PA (18.40C, 65.13F): While somewhat cold, it is not altogether unpleasant aside from the wind which tosses around a meager few drops of rain beneath a spectacular arrangement of clouds.

The Kingsdale Plaza Park stretches out to the west approximately sixteen-hundred feet until it meets with a residential area. The ground is covered with sporadic grass and wild flowers. Deep craters from some long-ago weapons fire cover this area of the park making the ground uneven and in some places difficult to walk. Nonetheless, this area has seen extensive use by the people of Kingsdale. Bike trails criss-cross the area and one of the craters has been filled with water where duck and other water birds come. These waterfoul seem to have quite a good living too, with people almost always present to feed them. Here and there are stands of conifer trees that people often sit beneath to read and otherwise forget the trials and tribulations of city life. The exception to this is during the night though, and nobody comes to the park after dark unless they are either foolhardy in the extreme or looking for trouble. The wind blows through the area unhampered and on good days it carries with it the laughter of children feeding ducks and the sweet scent of pine and wild flowers. Benches and places to sit are also scattered through the park area, and to the south is a Pavillion of five statues -- all previous dictators and people of note to Kingsdale's past.

Cassius steps into the park again. The young mage gives a long sigh, he finally found an aparment near the 'lith that he could affoard, and he liked it. Moving through the part to find a tree that's not too near a roa,d and settles down against it with a thump.

Kid glances up when someone thumps down nearby. Cloaked in her common disguise, she's currently ensconced within a hollow of the nearby brush. Cross legged, with her little handheld in her lap. Fingers paused in mid motion, she tries to peer through the brush to see who it might be, but there's enough of the veiling greenery(which is why she chose it) to obscure her view. Thus for a few moments she sits still and quiet, considering her options.

Heading towards the water filled craters, the woman wearing the Moes' shirt and jeans glances around the park, taking in the few people she can see at this time in the morning. It lingers briefly on the mage, one eyebrow arching slightly before she passes his seat, her hips swaying a little more, a deliberate tease put in for his benefit.

Cassius yawns, isn't really hiding at all, he's wearing those blue robes with the polished brass and silver ornamentations all over. Looking up at the sky he doens't seem to mind the rain, or the cold. Giving a faint ligght sigh again. Pulling out a small noteboke, with a list of various places he's checked. He went from the lowest and is working on up. Crossing off a number of establishments he might have danced at. He looks up, and watchs the woman start to pass. Oh yes, the teenager won't pass up an oppertunity to look, head slowly following.

Kid slips her handheld into her coat as she slowly shuffles herself to the side a little, trying to get herself into a better position to see who is near her hiding place. Of course, as is often the case for such unkempt areas, there are all sorts of pitfalls. Her hand slides over a weathered, try twig with a few short thorns peppering the length before she leans into it for her next quiet scoot. Her stealth ruined by the surprised yelp when they sink in and the scuffle from within the brush as she jerks the hand up without shifting her weight back, rolling to her side a bit.

Amusement flits in Aimee's green eyes as she notes the teenager's gaze following her, but vanishes at the yelp from the bushes. She turns, stopping in her tracks to stare at the bush, her forehead wrinkling slightly. Her hands slide into the back pockets of her jeans, the movement drawing her shoulders back a little. "Who's there?" She calls out sharply.

Cassius mmmms, just watching, and the yelp goes unnoticed untill Aimee calls out. Blinking he stands up and brushes his robes. The silver bells giving a light ring as he does so. "Someone in the bushes I guess? Oh dear..." he takes a step away from it. Not going in, but moving away instead. "Uh, though I'm Cassius, Hi, how you doing?" he smiles and offers a wave to Aimee, bells chiming again.

"Someone in the bushes I guess? Oh dear..." he takes a step away from it. Not going in, but moving away instead. "Uh, though I'm Cassius, Hi, how you doing?" he smiles and offers a wave to Aimee, bells chiming again.

The challenge is responded to with a string of muffled cursing and a bit of unseen thrashing within the bush. The flinty tone would likely be recognizable to Aimee, though it takes a few moments before Kid does pop up, standing head and shoulders out of the tangled underbrush. "Stupid.." lowly growled as she kicks and shoves her way out with more force than is entirely necessary, her coat providing plenty of drag, as well as her commonly present bag. But she'll eventually extract herself from the bush, still muttering darkly as she stares back at it, as if she might somehow set it ablaze with the heat of her ire.

Aimee gives the teenager a quick glance, questioningly. "Did you not hear it?" She replies, "Aimee." The abrupt offering of her name matches the girl's tense expression before the voice is recognised and the amusement resurfaces. "Kid, honey, why are you hiding in bushes spying on boys?" She nips at her lower lip, trying to repress the amused grin that curves her mouth, deepening dimples. The teenager gets a glance, an invitation to share her amusement, "Honey, this is Cassius."

Cassius turns back, "Ya I did, but if it didn't attack me when I rested next to it, I think it's better just to walk away then to challange..." he tops when he sees Kid, and waves, "Hey Kid." glancing back to Aimee, "Oh yes, I met Kid before and...Aimee?" he asks and then glanecs to the Moe's T-shirt...the T-shirt! Honest! Just that, "Oh...oh hey...are you mated with a big...big" he lifts his arm up, "Feline named Desmond?" he asks Aimee. "If not then there are two Aimees that work at Moe's."

"I was working," Kid states, giving Aimee a warning glance. "I don't spy on boys.. I don't have that kind of time to waste on something like that." The very idea ludicrous by the lilt of her tone. She just nods as Cassius notes that they've met before, not repeating the point, though after her irate little response, she eschews response to greetings for lifting up her right hand, currently seeping a little red from the meat of her palm due to a trio of thorn punctures. "Stupid bush," she mutters, dropping her bag to start opening it up with one hand, the wounded one held out just a bit, complicating the opening procedure.

"Working, riiiight." Aimee draws the word out, deliberately teasing and provoking Kid. Cassius' stumbling question turns her gaze back to him and she tilts her head, giving him an assessing look, the flirtatious manner dropping from her. "Desmond, oui. Why?" There is a slightly defensive tone there, and the green eyes narrow at him. His glance at her ....t-shirt is noted and one eyebrow lifts slightly as she waits for a reply.

Cassius smiles and nods, "Well, I talked to him, met him in the library, heard that you sang, did some performering. So I thought I'd ask you where you found work. Asked Kid too" he says, noting a the defensive tone, but he keeps going. Seemingly confidant in his questioning and his charisma...he does seem friendly in the natural way. "I'm a dancer myself, dancer, performer, mage, I did go into the ah...underbelly, of performing, and ya, no, need somthing slightly more fun. So I thought I'd ask another pro"

Kid spends her time rummaging through her bag for a few moments until she can find a proper cloth, holding it against her hand after cleaning away the last lingering bits of debris from her palm. "Working," she reiterates tersely, giving Aimee another glare, but otherwise letting the two talk while she tends to her hand, lingering down on one knee with her bag. But she listens, even though it might not seem she's paying much attention.

Untouched by Kid's glance, Aimee's interest focusses on Cassius. She lifts both eyebrows at the comment about the underbelly before she replies, her tone less formal, dropping into the soft purr she uses at work. "Oui, I dance, but the underbelly is where I started, mon ami, and perhaps not too good for you either." She shrugs lightly, a one sided movement, "I work at Moes for the moment, because it upsets mon chat if I remove my clothes and dance." The comment is challenging, spoken in a low purr, with a feline smile.

Cassius ohs and listens, his face bright and open to the chat. Good listener at that ,providing minimal response for Amiee to keep going. "Ya I know, I mean, I have...some talent, not NO talent which seems to be what the lowest areas are about. I don't mind...removing my clothing...did enough traveling with the circus to know skins sells, but I at least want to be able to dane and performe ya know, not just stand there." he returns the Challange with a large grin and a warm response. He'll drag Kid into it as well, "I did ask Kid if she knew anyplace, and that she might find a place I could dance, or juggle, or what have you. There's no real performing halls here, no Circus...so Im looking at the options.

"Most work you get here is with guns," Kid states simply. "Unless you're good at something practical." She gives her shoulders a casual roll at that, still tending to cleaning up her hand. Which amounts to blotting away the blood, then licking a corner of the cloth before using it to carefully scrub at any dirt that clings around the punctures. Her unhelpful additions given without looking up from her task, her voice still a bit warm with her prior uptick in anger, though she's brought it down to a low simmer in the now.

"I've never worked with guns, honey, just ignore her. She is grouchy." She sticks her tongue out at Kid, amusement dancing in green eyes, before she replies to Cassius. "Well, perhaps at the Ivory Lady..." The corner of her mouth quirks, deepening the dimple, "Or perform here, in the park and put a cap down?" She makes the suggestions softly, before shrugging, "Non, there are not many places, and performing halls are not open here..." She gives him a thoughtful look. "Perhaps do as I do, find bar work where they let you sing a little, until something comes up."

Cassius smiles and looks at Kid, "Said I already had a pair of guns." smirking he pats his biceps and gives a flex, "Boom." laughing. Seemingly amused by his own joke, but he turns back, "I heard that...but...I mean, who do I talk to...at this Ivory Lady. And in the park? Well...I tend to use a little magic in my act. Public magic...eh, It just seems like it's asking for trouble when a closed setting is much easier to manage ya know...here watch." he says as he casts his glamor, his face brighting up, and he almost glows. Taking out several small colored balls and mummering a few more words they begin to juggle around his face. Expending some of his energy to show what he can do. Again, he's acting like it's an interview, trying to Impress Aimee to see what she might recomend.

Kid makes a low noise, a grunt of vague displeasure. Though just what prompts it isn't specified. "You do something practical," Kid notes at Aimee. With her hand mostly cleaned up and her once clean cloth now spotted with red, she lifts her hand to eyeball her wounds. Good enough for now seems to be the verdict as she lowers her hand and casually stuffs the cloth into her pocket before closing up her bag, which is then slung across her shoulder and chest. Still locked up in her own personal sorting, she pulls out her little handheld and turns it off with a few taps before slipping it away again.

"Oui, serving drinks is so very practical." Aimee retorts back to Kid, a warning glint in her eyes for a moment, before the smile returns. She gives the juggling teenager a faintly bemused look, but she watches him for a few minutes, her hands returned to her back pockets, rolling her shoulders back. "Oui, you can juggle... but people here, I think, me, they are not so bothered by magic. You could perhaps ask at Moes, see if he would let you but I don't know..." She glances over at Kid, questioningly.

Cassius hmms and he shifts his face to look at Kid and he gives a tiny twitch of his lips, "Hey...did you want me to look at cha hand? Honestly, I think I can make it better, if only a little. If you wanted." he says, the Glamor still upon him, the colored balls dancing around his head. He turns to look at Aimee, All right, asking at Moes you think? And this ivory Tower, I didn't get a chanece to go there. But I will now"

Kid looks over towards the other two just as Aimee looks her way. "Don't look at me. If he could work a computer or do some real work, he could probably get something at NTI. I don't know anything about other stuff." The girl shrugs her shoulders a bit, obviously unhelpful. "Lots of people say if it don't exist, make it. Maybe he could.. start a show or something." The suggestion casual, a casual gesture made along with it, as if tossing it out into the air. Her eyes drawn to the migicked juggling despite her air of generals disinterest.

"Ivory Lady..." Aimee murmurs softly, lifting an eyebrow at Kid's comments. "He could pull pints, perhaps..." The amusement runs in her voice, matching the dancing, mischief filled eyes. "Perhaps he could. Get a tent, perhaps, and pack people in..." She moves to sit down, curling herself on the grass in a feline movement, coiling one arm around her knee and watching the others thoughtfully.

Cassius nods his head, "ya I know, I thougth about it, but when our circus broke up, I just took what I could carry. I mean...to get one started you need a lot of capital. I guess I could start performing in the street..." he rubs the back of his head, "But I'm just starting out" he walks over to Kid, "here..." he motions with one of his, surprsingly large, hands to try and take hers, "Let me see what I could do hmm?" he asks. Being polite, but also trying to open her up a little bit.

Cassius gets the wary eye as he starts to move towards Kid. A little bad mood lingering for her, the hand drawn back a bit behind her hip at the offer. The girl is obviously given to caution, though after a moment she holds out her hand slowly. "Don't do nothing weird now," she warns him vaguely. "I don't like people casting things on me without permission. But if you can heal my hand.. sure, ok." Her two toned eyes will watch him like a hawk, as if she could somehow spot any bad intentions on his part by sight alone.

Cassius smiles, "well, no it's all right, I don't want to do magic, I wont', ok?" he asks with his large beaming smile, trying to turn the charm on a little. or if not the charm at least a sense of trust. He does somthing simple, undoing the bandage. "So what is it you were thinking of Kid, I mean, if I got a tent...would you juggle knives or somthing, mabey you could help" he makes sure the wound is clean, fingers just working over the hand. "Or mabey you could help spread the word around. If you spread the word about it I'd let you watch for free a course, thanks for helping and all that." he smiles broading again. Rewrapping the hand back up...and quickly trying to seal it with a little discreet kiss. Nothing more. "Feeling better now?" he asks her.

Aimee lounges back and watches with amusement, used to Kid's moods and untouched by it. "Oui, everything costs money. Perhaps you, like me, could do some other work to make the money." She shrugs slightly, stretching out, cat like, on the grass, tilting her head to the sky. "What type of dance do you do?" Her voice is a soft purr, and the warm smile on her lips matches the mischief in her eyes.

Cassius turns back away from Kid with a grin and looks over at Aimee, "Oh the basics, twirling dances" he digs around looking for some ribbons, and he makes sure that his boots are on tight...before doing a springing leap. He's got enough strength in his legs he can do it pretty high, twirling. "The basic performances" using the ribbons to twirl and create patterns, "I specilize in using magic though..." he mummers a few other arcane snatchs and soon balls of multicolored lihts are dancing like will-o-the-wisps around the ribbons. "Moving on to the classics...salsa." he shifts his hips and turns it. "To a Tango" sliding back and forth without a partner. "heh, simple folk dances, square dance, the waltz, but those arn't performances...oh...been doing pretty well at..."Personal" dances as well" he stops in front of Aimee. smiling and setting a hand across his chest and then slowly working his hips. "Pretty much just trying to learn everything, you never know what a crowed is going to like"

Kid seems content to let Cassius do his thing, though she doesn't relax a great deal. Just a bit. Her brow creases as she is asked about assisting. "You're talking to the wrong girl for that," she states flatly. "Never cared for that kinda stuff.. I'd rather go to the Joy and get wasted when I want to relax. But this is a pretty jaded town mostly, so if you do something, do it big if you really want to get interest." Her personal assessment given, such as it is. When he's done, she eyes her hand a bit and returns a brief assessment. "Its fine." Her snappish mood seeming to have faded some at least, if not gone so far as reversing entirely. And though she lingers as he talks to Aimee about his dancing skills, she remains silent, mostly, standing nearby with her arms lightly crossed over her chest.

Aimee watches the dance movements with a professional's eyes, dispassionately, her green eyes narrowed. "Oui. The demonstration, it was not needed..." She murmurs crushingly, narrowing her eyes at him slightly. "You could strip, or start a show here, or perhaps ..." She waves a hand before smiling sweetly at him. "Work as a gigalo." The suggestion amuses her a little and Kid's comments cause the corners of her mouth to curve. "Non, Kid, she likes to dance, don't you, Kid? But not to watch others..." The laughing teasing in her voice suggests the women are close and there is history there.

Cassius just kinda stops, and he ohs. Ya a little wind coming out of his sails. "Well, all right." he snaps his fingers, the magic fades, simply putting the balls away and tightening up the drawstring. "Fine then, if you got a place you know I could , I'll go there and ask, honestly." he pulls out hs note book and takes out a pencil. "Just looking for work, so if yo ugot a name I could ask I'd appreciate it." stopping the show and the magic, and just switching to get some place to get some creds.

Kid flicks a glance towards Aimee and smirks in response, a trace of amusement finally worming through her dour mood. "Sometimes," she replies vaguely. "Not had much time for it lately, though. I miss the Joy." A frown rising at that, slight that it is. "But I think soon I might have more.. you and me, we can go have a night sometime," she offers to Aimee with a casual little grin rising, for now banishing her ill humor. Oh, but for how long?

"The Joy is still there, honey. We can go. Mon chat can live without me for a night or so." She shrugs lightly, sitting up and stretching slowly, giving Cassius an amused look. "Poor Cassius." She mocks softly, with a teasing smile. "A name for the strip? The Ivory Lady... or perhaps they do gigalo work also." She grins then, the green of her eyes darkening as the mischief fills them. "Or come to Moes. There is work for bar staff there and you could save for your tent..."

Cassius looks to Aimee, and he just smiles right back at her. He's not going to show it, just looking bright, "I'm young, I can certinally find a way to get some good work...though you come to me and I'll charge half." he retorts right back, finishing writing the names down. He tucks the little book into his robes again, and gives Aimee a bow. "Merry Met..." turning back to Kid, he bows his head to her, "And good day..."

"It'll be there.. I just have to make sure I am," Kid replies obliquely, frowning just a little. Though she doesn't linger on that topic as Cassius addresses her. "Yeah, we'll see soon enough," she replies to the words sent her way. Despite the dismal reply, she'll lift a hand to give a casual, vague gesture of parting to go along with it.

Aimee's quick look at Kid has narrowed eyes. "Oui. We will have to make sure." She shrugs lightly, turning back to Cassius. "Honey, I never pay." She lifts both eyebrows, amusement in her eyes, "Before mon chat, men paid me, sweetie. But oui, come find me, perhaps I'll give you a free beer." She chuckles, leaning back into the grass.

Cassius simply inclines his head, and he decides to be a little cute as well. Simply bowing deeply, and making a twitch of his fingers...and promplty dissappears.

Kid blinks once when Cassius just disappears. Obviously that sort of thing gets her warning bells up, the girl snapping a glance about the area quickly, as if she might spy him nearby. Failing that, she frowns, muttering lowly to herself before she looks to Aimee and breathes out a low sigh. "I hate it when they do things like that," she states, moving a little closer to where the woman is relaxed.

Aimee sits up, glancing around, her mouth curving until she laughs aloud. "Oui, that would be a way to finish a show..." She stretches then, catlike, before leaning back into the grass. "So, mon ami, what news? Is there still a thing in your head? You know..." She lowers her voice, "This is outside, and not the library..." The soft mocking is made with affection.

"Lets just say I'm tired of being cooped up.. but I'm being careful. And this is getting fixed soon," Kid states lowly. "And once it is, I'm going back home cause I miss my stuff." She breathes out softly and shakes her head slightly. "This sort of stuff is just too much, you know? Wouldn't be so bad if I got paid for all of this trouble. I think I could stand being rich for once in my life, don't you?"

"Oui, I could stand to be rich." Aimee replies softly, staring up into the sky. "You think it will be done soon? I want to dance again, and if I go alone I spend the night brushing off panting boys..." She glances to one side, inviting Kid to share her humour. "So, mon chat and I are back together." She drops the words in, casually.

Kid snorts faintly and waves a hand. "Back? When did you break up this time?" She smirks faintly, then murmurs, "You can dish all you want to me later.. I have some work I've gotta do now, though. And I guess this isn't the best place for it, fresh air or no." She gives her shoulders a casual roll. "I'll let you know when things quiet a bit.. maybe come visit you. We'll see." She shrugs her shoulders a little.

Aimee puts hands behind her head, stretching on the grass. "A little ago." She shrugs as Kid cuts her off, closing her eyes. "Oui, enjoy your work. Give me a call." She snuggles into the grass, relaxing.

Kid lifts a hand in another of her vague parting gestures. "Yeah, when I've got time to just sit down, I'll let you know. We'll have a smoke and a drink." She grins, then turns and hustles her way out of the park, glancing about warily as she does so. Tags: aimee, cassius, kid
