Kingsdale - The Nut And Bolt

As she's begun to realize that people still expect her to carry on, Sage has sent messages to employeers of her deceased partner to meet with her in the Bolt. She remains dressed in black for the most part, but her drink is a colourful sunset drink. She sips lightly from it as she sits at the table she wishes to use. She sticks to the fringes of the place as the clientele's typical conversations involving work do not particular interest her.

Galvin comes into the bar dressed in his usual work clothes. He looks around for a few moments before he notices Sage sitting over at a table. With his hands in his pockets he walks over to the table that Sage is sitting at. He offers her a quick smile before pulling out a chair and sitting down. "I wish to offer my condolences to you. I was real sorry to hear about Tirzah. She was a good woman."

Leonard is the next to arrive to the summons, and he spends a moment searching for Sage's familiar face. He also wishes it were more lively, the circumstances far more social, as shown by his saddened smile. "Hello," Leonard nods to Galvin, then, "How are you, SAge?"

When Galvin approaches the table, Sage's gaze shifts towards the man before offering a faint nod to the words offered. "Thank you." She replies simply, before her attention is drawn towards Leonard as he arrives. "Hey..." She replies softly, before pursing her lips at the questions. "Could be better, could be worse." She offers with a little indifference, "And not sure if I should be upset that people are expecting me to carry on instead of running off into the wilderness to live as I please." She offers a momentary weak smile in an attempt to keep her comment from being taken too serious. "How about you two?" She asks, glancing between the two men before she takes up the sunrise drink and taking a sip from it.

Galvin shrugs his shoulders quickly before answering. "I guess I have been alright. You don't have to carry on if you don't want to. I guess I could find another job if you don't want to keep things going on." He says before turning his attention to a waitress. He orders a drink and then turns back to Sage.

"Expecting?" Leonard purses his lips. "It isn't your business to worry about..." He pauses and tries to clarify, since that sounded harsh, and nods to Galvin. "As he said, you shouldn't feel obligated. I'm not sure you should be worrying about it, now, even if you did." He smiles softly, and more genuinely, "I doubt anyone will starve, or empires come undone."

When Sage glances between the two men and their responses, before shaking her head a little bit. There may have even been a ghost of a little smile on her lips. "You both are assuming that I speak of Arcane Solutions." She comments, "Which is only natural I suppose since it is the main reason you are here... but, no gentlemen, I am expected to go through with /my/ business venture." She pauses to contemplate her drink for a moment. "So, it is not me you need to make you arguments to..." She makes a faint noise as if mildly amused at the idea. Then she looks back to the man, "So, you may consider this an informal interview of sorts... and right now, I wish to know what tasks you performed for Arcane Solutions."

"I am not arcane at all. I am a tech person. I fix everything. Tirzah was undercutting me with her armor repair services. I talked to her about it and she offered me a job. I was mostly doing vehicle repairs and modifications." Galvin says before adjusting his glasses with a finger. As his drink comes he offers the waitress a quick smile as he fishes out a few credits to pay for it. "Didn't really get to do too much cool stuff."

Leonard doesn't have a chance to appreciate the ghost of smile due to surprise. His brows quirk up. "Well, my tasks primariy involved the repair bench. In some ways, I was little more than a power source," he shrugs his shoulders as he takes a seat, "but it was casual work."

Sitting at one of the tables on the fringe of all the techies talking shop and other things, Sage is in conversation with Leonard and Galvin whom have recently joined the table. For her part, she considers both men as they speak with a faint nod each. "And, I know what Isabeau was responsible... but she has a business partnership with me that was established before Arcane Solutions." She comments, before taking a breath and letting it out. "That name wont do anymore." She adds with a wry look before she takes a sip from her drink once more. Then letting out a breath. "At any rate, what neither of you know is that Tirzah and I were planning a joint venture..." She pauses, leaving the 'but its not joint anymore' part left unsaid. Then, she glances to Leonard. "I know approximately what kind of space you would need." She comments befoore looking over to Galvin. "You, on the other hand, require a bit of a thought... what would you need?"

Vixen sweeps into the Nut and Bolt with a long stride, purposeful, but moments into her entry it slows. Purpose turned from movement to seeking. And as she picks out Leonard, she grins casually and purpose returns to movement. She approaches where he and they are, moving up to stand next to him. "Hey Leo," she offers casually, a hand lifted to ruffle his hair casually. Though a moment after she glances towards Sage and Galvin, offering, "Alright to drop in?"

"What would I need for what?" Galvin asks with a slightly confused look on his face. "I can make do with all sorts of spaces. It depends on what I am doing. If Arcane Solutions is going away I can't afford my own shop or garage yet, so I guess I'll just keep on saving my credits." He shrugs his shoulders quickly before taking a sip of his drink. He turns to look at Vixen as she stops by and he gives her a friendly nod in greeting. "I am not sure what you are wanting to do Sage."

"Space? What sort of venture?" Leonard glances to Galvin, even if the other man has as little clue as he. He doesn't notice Vixen's arrival until she speaks, and looks up just in time to have his hair mussed. That earns her a smile. "Hey."

Bartholemew enters the club without so much as a look around as he makes his way to the center of the bar where he leans against it awaiting the bartender's services. It is now he gives a look see around the place just to get the general picture of the happenings and ambient mood of the establishment. When his drink comes he lifts it to his lips taking in a good draught to quench his thirst settled to checking out the band for now.

Having hoped that the tasks they had performed at Arcane Solution would be enough to allow both to understand her comments, Sage offers a faint frown towards Galvin primarily before getting a rueful look. She glances over towards Vixen, considering the woman briefly before nodding faintly. She takes a moment to settle herself. "Alright..." She begins simply, "I am thinking of ... let's use the word acquiring... Arcane Solutions... but it will likely not be entirely the same." She comments, not really looking at any of the people at the table right now. "Tirzah and I..." She pauses, before pressing on. "started looking for a place to setup shop. I had started plans to open a spa by appointment only... and if possible, I would offer a spot for private dining by reservation when Tirzah wasn't using her meeting room for her business." She glances up towards the table, "I like the idea of the repair bench and the healing bed and can see those as being alternative options to more conventional means." She comments, "So, I am thinking of opening a business where there is a customized alternative solution for people looking for them." She comments, "I was thinking of calling my part of the business Sage Alternatives... which seems to be an apt name for the entire thing now." She comments, before glancing to Galvin, "So, if I know what kind of alternatives to offer with you, I can plan accordingly... or you can choose to strike out on your own."

Vixen remains on her feet for now, settling an arm against Leo's shoulder, though not too much weight is placed against him. She listens, though she also notices Bart's passing, glancing over to track him towards the bar. A faint grin worn before she considers the words Sage makes use of. "There's still Cali's place. Need space for stuff.. it can start there. Maybe add to it. I'm going to be setting the upper floor to use. Not for what I was thinking before, but something good. Cali's has a good set up for tech work."

Galvin scratches the side of his head. "Uh well most of my work is dirty. Takes oil and grease to make a hovercycle work. I have been mostly working out of my apartment. I don't know what you mean by alternate solutions. I just build invent and maintain technology. Magic stuff is weird and I don't really deal with it. If you want to keep employing me that sounds fine. I am still unsure what you would want me for, but I won't say no to a paycheck." He says with a chuckle. "No real market for invention or modifications or anything technical right now it seems." He says with another shrug.

Leonard considers both the proposition and what Sage might mean by it. "We've had several ideas between us on business opportunities," he includes Vixen in that, "but nothing has proven successful, yet. There is a broad mix of talents between us, which makes narrowing something to include everyone difficult."

Bartholemew chills for a bit up by the bar but eventually decides to take his drink and take a mingle through the people gathered as he makes his way to find a table nearer to the band playing. This inevitably brings him by the table of those talking Alternatives and where he catches sight of the mechanic Galvin whom he gives a friendly salute with his beer bottle in passing greeting. At this he also notices Vixen whom he gives a very subtle nod as he passes by as well, not seeming to want to interrupt the conversation already engaged in, so he continues by.

Sage offers another faint frown at Galvin, before simply nodding to herself. She lets her gaze drift between the three at the table. "In that case, this is how it will go." She comments simply as her face taking aspects of determination. "I already have an important client lined up for the spa that will likely help to draw in more clients. This is not negotiable." She comments, "And, if I must, I will cook for each one of you and dare you to find a better chef in this city." She adds, then looks to Leonard. "I already know that the bench has attracted business, so you'll be a power source if nothing else... well, assuming you agree." She comments, then lets her gaze travel between Vixen and Galvin. "And, Cali's garage could be a good place to reclaim from its current rentor. No sense in overlooking obvious repair business." She glances briefly to Galvin. "But, there is no reason that we can't offer other technological services. So, I shall expect you, Galvin, to draw up a watering system for my garden... and if it meets with my approval, you will be the technical branch that I would be hopelessly clueless about." She comments before looking to Vixen, "And, if you have anything that you could add in that realm... perhaps you could combine resources with Galvin."

Vixen smirks faintly and shakes her head. "I don't do heavy tech," she tells Sage. She glances up at Bart as he passes, her head tilting slightly. "But I suppose if you'd like it, I could do some freelance work for any computer systems you have. Secure them, fix any meltdowns. Computers are what I do best. But I've got my own ideas for the top floor. I'm reviving The View. So I'll be spending a lot of time on that. But not just me. I'm going to be on the lookout for content from others, since I think having to do all of it myself was what got to me the last time."

Galvin taps his finger against his chin while he thinks. Noticing Bartholew he raises up his beer to give him a quick salute. "Hey how's it going?" He asks Bart before turning his attention back to Sage. "Sure water systems are pretty easy. Won't take very long to do." He says with a shrug after he has finished thinking it over. "A garage space would be nice. Better then working out of the apartment. I could use the space to do some weapon designs." He lifts up his beer to take a sip from it.

"I can continue to do that." Leonard nods to Sage. "It isn't terribly exhausting, just time-consuming." His head tips to look up to Vixen again. "You don't do /all/ of it yourself..." Not that he can give very good examples of his contributions.

Bartholemew continues by being he overhears the bit of the conversation sounding as if its business, finding a table nearby and closer to the band he sits and stretches out in the chair where his feet stick way out in the walkway that goes by the table he has chosen. As he does go by, he gives a motion to Galvin that when he's finished come by and talk to him.

The passing of a vague familiar man only draws Sage's attention briefly before she looks back to the people at her table. "Well, I'm not sure about designing weapons but it sounds like things could work." She comments, before letting her gaze drift to Vixen. "I'll take the freelance work." She nods faintly, before shifting her attention to Leonard. "As for you, we'll have to see if you're good for anything else." She lets faint amusement flicker over her features for the first time in a bit, then she looks to Galvin. "And, I shall see what we can work out for you as you may end up being the busiest of all of us."

"Maybe if I train Leo up on computers a bit more, he can handle light maintenance and then I'll only have to come in for the meltdowns," Vixen says, her eyes dipping towards Leo. "He's alright with them for now.. could handle some administrative tasks once I give him some more work. Still can't program them, but I don't think he'd need that." She look sup and grins casually. "If you want an advertising spot, I could offer that too, though I'm not too sure how I'm going to work that. Don't really want to focus on commercial stuff too much."

Galvin gives Bart a quick nod of understanding before turning back to the conversation. "Well I like to be kept busy. There is plenty of work out there. I can help out Vixen as well if she wants. I have plenty of experience working with computers of all sorts. I can invest some money into the garage as well." Galvin offers as he idly sips on his beer.

Leonard chuckles softly. "I can type without too many errors, but I won't make much claim beyond that." He lowers his head and eyes back to Sage. "If there is any need for knowledge on the preternatural, I can assist with that, but I don't know how helpful that would be to a spa... unless you expect very unusual clientele."

Bartholemew sits and chills his attention apparently on the band and the women in the place..and by the looks of it, he doesn't seem all too picky either in the ones that interest him. Sipping on his beer he simply enjoys the atmosphere for a bit.

Sage hms softly to herself as she considers the new information. "Well, the garage work could start at any time once things are settled with the current rentor... Cali's still technically the owner since she's just hidden away somewhere and could choose to come back and yell at us any time." She comments before she pauses thoughtfully for a moment. "I still would like to find a building or house of some kind to setup my part of the business unless an apartment is used for the time being. I wouldn't mind a little help with that until I start feeling more like myself." Then her gaze drifts to Vixen. "Well, the garage business would take care of itself by location alone... and people already know about Tirzah's repair and healing offerings." She comments, "So, I wouldn't be opposed to offering a visit to a spa and perhaps a dinner for two in exchange for a little good press." She offers with a raised brow. Then she draws her attention to Leonard. "We can figure something out later." She assures the man.

Vixen shrugs, "We'll see. Once I get settled with how things are going to be, I'll decide on specifics for advertising. I did promos for small time bands and singers, though that was mostly for them to get their sound out." She straightens from leaning against Leo and her arms lightly cross her chest. "I don't suppose you have much money for new digs. Me either, but enough to work over the upstairs. If it had more room, I'd offer some of it, but there isn't much there to use."

"Speaking of help," Leonard is back to Vixen, "you never did ask for my help with the costs. I'm sure that we can work something out that is functional without leaving us starving and homeless." He seems to have most of his role for Sage determined (or determined for him), for now, so he focuses on the other part.

Galvin nods his head slowly as he listens to Sage's plan. He takes the occasional sip of his beer while he listens. "Well like I said I have some money that I could invest. Perhaps that would help." He says while adjusting his glasses. "Could get some nice machinery for the garage."

Bartholemew finishes his drink giving a look around to see if he needs to go up to the bar himself or is there someone available to wait on him. After careful deliberation he decides to just get up and get it himself. By the time any wait staff would get to him he might die of thirst. So he gets up and makes his way back over to the bar for a refill.

"Depends on the place, I suppose. Not sure that spot out by the garage would be the best thing for my purposes, though." She comments with a faint shrug. "At any rate, I figured I should touch base to see if you guys were interested in the possibility of working under new ownership... so to speak." She comments, more towards Leonard and Galvin than anything else. "And when the where is figured out, we can speak some more and what sort of investing to do." She comments, before pursing her lips.

Vixen eyes Leo as he talks about money. Then she shrugs faintly and says, "I suppose we can talk about that later," she murmurs, leaving the topic with a shift of her focus towards Sage again. "Leo's got time on his hands, he just tends to use it going all over the place. He could use some good reasons to hang around here more, besides me." She smirks faintly.

"Well hopefully everything works out." Galvin says before finishing up his beer. "Thanks for making everything work out Sage." He says before getting up and making his way over to the bar for a new beer. He gives Bartholemew a quick nod of his head while he waits for his new beer. "So how have things been going Bart? What have you been up to?"

Bartholemew turns to give a friendly grin to Galvin when he comes up for a drink of his own, "Things are going good. My partner and I are in the process of starting a company dealing in security and escort services. Whats new with you? It's been like forever." motioning to the bartender that he's got Galvin's drink.

Sage gives a nod to Galvin as he departs, not quite ready to accept thanks for something that is still in the planning. Then her gaze shifts between Leonard and Vixen. "He does, does he?" She comments, "Perhaps I should give him a list of things to collect and take all the fun out of it then." She suggests with a raised brow, "Or I could think of something else." She adds before draining the last of her drink.

"Just make sure to run it by me first," Vixen murmurs, grinning casually as she moves to a chair near Sage to flip it around and settle herself down on it, arms crossed over the back. She considers the woman casually before she wonders, "You alright? Don't figure that's a question that'll get the best answer, but well." Her lips settle into a straight line as she adds, "You need anything? Besides more creds, of course."

"Things are going pretty well." Galvin says to Bartholemew. "Congrats on the business. If you need and work on vehicles, armor, or weapons let me know. I do the best work in the city. It has been too long. The security work is going well though? How is the pay?" He asks while reaching for his new beer and taking a sip from it.

Bartholemew nods raising his beer in a salute, "Good enough to fund our own company. Been out recruiting lately, looking for people looking for a better life and willing to fight if necessary to get it. I'm giving the opportunity to learn a skill and make a few bucks in the process. I am still looking to contract a decent Operator for the company. If things go well there should be plenty to keep a mechanic busy."

"A permission slip for his field trip?" Sage asks with a considering glance to Leonard before looking back to Vixen. "Well, that trip to Laramy did a little good...and for reasons that have nothing to do with the Coalition." She comments, "Still feel a bit raw, though." She lets out a breath, "I've asked Erica to help organize a remembrance for Tirzah... but, I guess company from time to time and little tokens of kindness will do for now. I need to think on the path that I walk."

Vixen nods her head and slips her hand into her coat, casually retrieving two items. Both pitted circular objects with a priming button. "Well, I might not be able to offer you too much, but I can let you handle these for now. A little extra peace of mind. Wilks Blinders. Won't do more than overload the optic nerves for a while, dunno what it'll do to darkboy, but here's hoping it will hurt." She places the laser grenades on the table near Sage. "Legal in the city since they don't do any real damage to what matters." She glances towards Leo. "And yeah.. I like to know where he goes, even if I can't always go after him."

Galvin nods his head as he listens while taking the occasional sip of his beer. "Well maybe your company can contract with the company I work with. That way we can both make some money. I guarantee my work, and you won't see better work out there. Heck I am hoping to put out my own line of weapons at some point." He chuckles to himself as he adjusts his glasses with a finger.

Leonard is quiet or a time, possibly trying to concoct a good comeback to Vixen or Sage. At the same time, he is used to the verbal abuse, if it could even be called that. "Yes, Sage. Before I am allowed to go on any scavenger hunts, she has to know where I'll be, when I'll be home, and make sure she can contact me. If I'm very lucky, she'll make me a lunch to pack." There isn't any sarcasm in there, but he does look ready to duck, just in case.

Sage nods faintly to Vixen before taking the grenades from where they are placed. "Thank you." She comments, "In a way, I hope that I wont have to use them... but they are good to have around just in case." She adds as she begins to put them away. Then she glances at Leonard with a raised brow at his comment. "I see." She says simply.

Bartholemew nods considering that thought, "Perhaps, we were hoping to hire one on full time, but an outside contract might work well. I'll run it by my partner to see what he thinks. Lemme know how you go with that weapons thing when it pans out. I'd love to check out the new toys you come up with. Maybe work out a testing arrangment. I'll let you get back to your other business, but it was good talkin to ya."

Vixen smirks, her eyes flicking towards Leo, though he's safe for now. "I need to know when to come after him if he gets into trouble," she says before she nods to Sage. "Those are meant so you can get the hell out if anything happens. I love having things like that on hand, because getting the hell out is usually the smart course. You have a place to go that you'd be safe at? The library is good, not supposed to be any violence in there."

"Yeah, the library is probably one of the better places. He wouldn't be able to use any of his tricks in there either." Sage replies, "I may have to think of other places as a back-up." She adds, before nodding. "I wish Tirzah had done the same before heading out this past time... so, I understand your caution all too well." She lets out a sigh as her gaze drops in a reflective manner.

Bartholemew moves off from the bar having said his goodbyes to Galvin and makes his way back to the table he came from this time with two beers in hand. Unfortunately his table was taken while he was up at the bar so he pauses long enough to spot something else and heads in that direction.

"The library is a good refuge," Leonard agrees, "but I might be able to enchant something similar elsewhere... given some time. Are you worried about violence?" The conversation seems like it shifted somewhere, and he's a little confused.

Vixen shrugs and says, "She was overconfident by nature. Tends to catch up with you." Her tone plain and simple on the matter. "Though I can't say for what happened. JUst too bad." It might not have a great depth of feeling, but the sentiment is honest enough. "Live and learn. My advice? Walk armored. Armed too. Keep those close all the time. Since they don't burn, you don't have to worry about what you're wearing. Just make sure you don't catch yourself with 'em. Can't run if you can't see." She smirks a little, then looks towards Leo. She considers him, then says lightly, "That shadow guy killed Tirzah," she states. "Not sure if he's got his sights on Sage too, so that's some insurance for her."

Bartholemew props one foot up on another chair where he sits sitting lounged back comfortably, one of his beers on the table the other is held in hand as he idly sips on it watching the entertainment.

A brief gesture by Sage of moving her long sleeve does reveal some subtle armor on her person. Any weapons she might have carried with her being left at the door. Then she nods faintly, "Yeah, she was rather confident... and quite unbalanced before we started being a couple." She comments, "I guess in the end, I only really gave her more time." She offers a faint shrug, unsure of whether to be comforted by that or not. "And, I'll try to be careful with them."

Vixen lowers her eyes towards the bit under the sleeve and she grins casually. "Good. Another suggestion.. Northern Gun sells these bodysuits. Can wear those under armor, adds a little extra layer of protection. Not a lot, but hell.. an extra shot or two turned off is another few moments to get under cover, right? If you want, I can help you get one, I've got one myself, though I haven't worn it too much yet. Usually when I go into dangerous situations."

Bartholemew leans over to the table next to him containing a couple of factory workers and begins joking around with em in idle chit chat. Soon he scoots his chair a bit closer as they get to talking a bit longer than just a quick comment. He orders a round for them all as a waitress does pass by eventually which keeps the conversations going further.

Leonard falls quiet again, and for a long while. His eyes lower from Sage to the table, "I'm sorry..." The apology is sincere, but he also tenses beneath Vixen's touch. More words are added, with edge, "... that I didn't turn him inside out when I should have."

"That is what's there." Sage confides softly as she realizes she might not have rolled the sleeve back far enough. "I guess I could wear regular armor too, though." She adds before a faint shrug, before glancing to Leonard. "Well, in that case, you may be able to act as part bodyguard when I have clients in the spa... in case they get unruly... just to make up for it."

Vixen glances over to Leo and tilts her head a little. Thoughtful. Then she looks to Sage and nods. "Well, that'll be nice for comfortable wear.. so to speak. But yeah. I'd be ready at all times if I were you. But most people think I'm paranoid." Her smirk settles in again and she stands. "If you want, I could set your place up for security too.. if you buy the gear. Wouldn't be ironclad, but better than nothing." She looks to Leo. "We should probably go talk some things over, you and me." Her hand resting on his shoulder again, lightly.

"If you want," Leonard offers, "Edgar can keep you company, and guard. We're also just down-" he stops and corrects himself "-a call away." He breathes out a sigh and nods to Vixen. "Over a drink? Or two?"

"That might be nice." Sage comments to Leonard with a nod before offering another nod to Vixen. "And, I think I'll be heading out as well." She comments, "Thank you for meeting with me."

Vixen looks back to Sage and says, "We have secure radios. If you get one too, we'll give you the frequency we use to keep in touch. Let me know." She grins and adds, "Come visit if you want. Especially when he's out of town." She tilts her head towards Leo, then takes a few steps from the table. "Stay loose, but don't let your guard down." she offers.

Leonard rises and musters a smile for Sage. "I'll see if I can't convince him to visit, then. Do stay safe." He turns to approach or follow Vixen. "I think I should stay in town for a while."

"Alright." Sage replies to Vixen with a faint nod before looking to Leonard. "And, I hope there'll be an introduction since I don't remember if I've met him before." She offers a faint shrug, "Take care, both of you." She adds before rising from her own seat and heading towards the door.

Golden Carafe - Leonard's Room(#1873R)

Back at home, Vixen sighs and slips off her heavy coat. It helps her keep in shape, carrying it and the things within around. "So are you going to go after Mr Shadowy?" She doesn't wait to ask the question, though her tone is flat on it, giving no opinion on the matter. She goes at once towards the kitchen to get the drinks going.

"I won't tell you I'm not tempted, Vix," Leonard replies as he closes the door behind him, "or that I think I shouldn't." It's an answer, but not the most concise or specific one.

Vixen comes back out with a pair of glasses and a bottle, only faintly chilled. She looks towards him, then motions for him to come over before she pours a half measure into each glass. "I'm not going to say don't do it. I'm sure you know I'd not cry over that creepy fucker. But if you do it, you best tell me and you damn well better not do it alone. The more guns, the less chance whoever you're on will do any real damage. Killing ain't about honor. Its all about whose left standing in the end. And if you go getting yourself killed, death ain't going to keep me from kicking your ass eventually." She offers him one of the glasses.

Leonard has to smile, despite the dark topic, and it's not because she's offering him a glass. "I don't doubt you'd find a way to bring me back, or find me... wherever, just so you could do that." He takes a long swallow and settles on the couch. "I won't say 'Don't worry,' but I never planned to do it alone. I might not even approach him personally."

Vixen nods. "You just tell me what you do before you do it," she murmurs. "Maybe I'll help. I don't like him much. Tirzah was annoying, but I wasn't worried she'd do something like try and kill me. Be a bitch maybe, but I can handle that." She takes a healty swallow before she adds, "As to money, I have money. I'm sure you can figure out lots to do with your money, just like I'm doing things with mine. We wont' go broke. I have like.. two hundred kay squirreled away. We're fine."

"Did I tell you I watched him murder a crazed man, simply because the man wanted to die?" It it relevent, even if Leonard makes it sound like he's going off on a tangent. "I arranged to have a being of shadow, not unlike him, track and retrieve Ahriman. Oddly enough, it was Tirzah who attacked me for doing so." He shakes his head and sighs. "She wasn't the most charming, and she was certainly rude to me, but she didn't deserve that. Not knowing how he likely treated her. Sage certainly didn't."

Vixen ultimately shrugs at the lot of that. "You don't have to make excuses to me. Not for that one. Just don't die." She shifts to the side, moving closer to Leo to lean against him. "I might be able to get some toys to help. You know tech is my game. So just tell me when you do things. Always."

Leonard shakes his head and lifts and arm to let her move as close as she wishes. "I'm not making excuses, Vix, and I have every reason /not/ to die." His arm lowers around her. "It pisses me off, and I hate seeing Sage left like this, but... I don't know." There's an uncertainty and hesitation there that she would recognize as familiar to him, but only from a long while ago.

Vixen nudges him lightly with her elbow and says, "Out with it," she murmurs. "You upset because you let him live before? Get over it." Her tone firm. "Mistakes get made, but you now Tirzah. Always fucking around, not real cautious half the time. So maybe she got herself into some shit.. you don't know. So just don't worry about what was, keep your eyes on now and what's to come."

"Ow." It isn't real pain, but enough. "Just wondering if it's worth all the effort to track him down. I'm sure he's ticked off enough people as it is. His ego doesn't leave room for anyone else in the city, and I know a little about egotistical assholes." Vixen receives a combination shrug and half-hug. "Not that I might not just electrocute him if I happen to see him on the streets tomorrow."

"Don't get the law on you," Vixen tells Leo. "If he has enemies, then you have people to talk to." She draws her legs up and curls into the embrace, her eyes close slightly. "You should get stuff too. Like that bodysuit. It's cheapish. I bet you can get one. Maybe some optics glasses too. Nightvision.. thermo-imaging. I have to get a pair of those too. Something so you can see what you're zapping."

Leonard nods, although it's superfluous now that her eyes are closed. "I should, and I will. It's always better to see what you want to zap." He chuckles softly. "The more protection I have, the less I need to worry about you kicking my ass, right?"

"FOr that reason, anyway." Vixen opens her eyes to look upward and smirk at him lightly. Just for a moment before she closes her eyes and leans into him. Dark talk and seriousness aside, she's happy to enjoy a quiet end to the evening. With more drink and a pleasant evening for both of them.
