John sits at the computer typing away as usual.

Bartholemew comes busting into the apartment in what would seem a pretty excited mood. "John!" he says loudly coming through the door obviously hoping to find him here. "Hey man, I found us some work." seeing John sitting at his computer. He grabs a couple of beers out of the small fridge cracking them open and handing on to John.

John takes the beer with a smile and moves over to the chair, "Do tell. Doing what? When? How many credits?"

Bartholemew grabs a seat sliding it over next to John where he takes a seat on it backwards, resting his arms on the back of the chair sipping on his beer. "I went down to this place called RBJ's. Guy sets up contracts for mercs needing work. Well he didn't have much, but he did have something for someone that could cover some good amount of ground."

John nods, "Well that sounds up our alley. Doin what?" he takes another swig of his beer and looks excited hearing about some work.

Bartholemew leans in a bit with a bit of a smirk, "Guardin crops." he says with a nod and a wink downing a long swig of beer.

John leans forward a smirk on his face, "Crops huh? And how much does one pay to have their crops guarded?"

Bartholemew nods, "I know what your thinkin man. Guarding crops, a measly few credits. Well this group is willing to pay 2k to guard them until they can ship them out I guess or something like that. It's 10 farms in a rough diameter of 10 kilometers. Should be an easy 2k."

John leans back taking another swig of beer, "What are they growing? And how long do we have to guard the crops to get the 2k?"

Bartholemew grins swigging on his beer, "That's the beauty of it, only a couple a weeks tops. Maybe sooner if we catch the ones doin the thieving. From what I've been told so far its a group of em and they ain't been hostile yet, just persistent from what they say."

John smiles and raises his beer to you, "Well it IS work. And work pays the bills. I'm in."

Bartholemew nods in agreement finishing his beer. "We gotta meet this guy Gabriel out at his farm in the morning to go over the details. So better get some sleep early. If this war holds out this could be some regular work."

John finishes off his beer, "Sounds good to me. I am looking forward to some paying work. See I told you something in the city would turn up. Aren't you glad we got the apartment now?"

Bartholemew nods in agreement, "I still think we would've made more being bandits or something." he chuckles. Set.

John nods, "We probably could. But it would be a quick and fun life. I prefer a longer existence."

Bartholemew stands up offering to take John's empty as he goes to toss his own. "Well man, I'm going to crash out for a bit before the morning."

John hands his bottle over, "Yea me too. Night man."
