Logfile from Rifts.

Having made arrangements to have the garden to herself and expected gathering, Sage has setup an impromptu bar with bottles of Tirzah's own brews with glasses available to those that may wish a drink. She takes a breath as she settles herself, hoping that she wont be too emotional. As for her appearance, she wears the dress that Tirzah gave her as well as the jewellry symbolizing what she meant to her deceased partner. It isn't exactly standard mourning garb, but she had given a hint to the people she invited that it would be more of a celebration of the life than a drab mourning affair.

Vixen comes into the garden quiet-like. She's not dressed fancy, though as of late her common garb has changed. She hasn't bothered removing her weapons. She hasn't a thing in hand, though a slender data cord slips from behind her right ear and disappears into the collar of her armored coat. Her hands buried in the pockets of the same, she spies Sage and heads towards the woman quietly.

Five and a quarter feet of dusky skinned delight in a petite package. Vix's features are cute and smooth, framed by a center parted bob cut , hair chin length. Colored a subtle neon red, though intentionally so to leave the black roots visible along the part, leaving a black streak along the top of her head. Her eyes are blue and ever so slightly black lined, though the left is often veiled by a soft curtain of red. Her lips a darker shade of red, setting them apart from her skin. A silver stud pierces her right nostril and a pair of silver studs sparkle on each earlobe. A silver chain around her neck holds a small silver cross that rests prominently against her chest.

A form fitting dark violet shirt conforms to her modest figure, flattering but not scandalous in intent. Cut short halfway down the upper arms and above the belly. But rather than dusky skin, some manner of ‘thick’, black hued bodysuit covers where skin might be exposed Overtop an armored longcoat rests on her shoulders, given a violet hue. Even the dull metallic plating over the shoulders is subtly tinted in this manner. On her back, a sturdy pack rests. Neither too large, nor too small, but well packed with things, a slender cord danglng out from under the top flap, within easy reach. A pair of wooden stakes are slid through straps on one side, flanking a similarly secured mallet.

Black belts and straps wrap her hips and upper thighs, a sturdy but light combat webbing crisscrossing the violet leather pants that she wears. The pants are snug, but not tight and pliant. The legs are neatly tucked into the rugged boots she wears. They come nearly up the whole calf, laces firmly tied into a double knot. At her right hip a holster secures her big NG-45 LP, adjusted to fit the laser sight on the weapon. At her left hip, a coiled bullwhip sits, the striker made up of a variety of nasty, serrated teeth. Pouches long and thin to short and plump mingle about her hips with grenades of the smoke and flashbang sort.

One side of the garden has been set up for live performance. There two large speaker frame Rubidia as she takes to silently tuning her guitar. She looks to be ready to rock, glancing to Sage every few moments for the go ahead. Her attire is a bit more formal than her usual pop outfit. She wear a full lenght black glittering gown with the signatore glowing blue borders.

Erica comes into the garden with a soft smile on her face as she looks around. Seeing Sage and the bar she goes deeper into the garden. Picking up a glass she pours herself some of Tirzah's brew and takes a little sip. Looking over at Sage she greets the other woman with a quick smile. "This is very nice Sage." She says while glancing over at the performance area.

Sebastien appears, dressed in a brown button-down and jeans in stead of his usual riding leathers. The young man hangs back a touch, eyes narrowing at the assembled with an apprehensve look. Finally he makes his way towards Sage, brushing through those who've come, and he pauses as he begins to draw near. He has an oddly still expression on his face, lips pursing as he hangs a right to head towards the liquor instead.

Sage doesn't glance over to Rubidia yet as she isn't quite sure when to start the music. She'll wait for the time being to see how many people begin to show up. Her gaze drifts as she begins to notice familiar faces but she'll hold off on going to greet herself beyond an initial nod in greeting. She looks to Erica as the woman speaks first, "Thanks." She replies simply, "Its not exactly what I would have originally had in mind... but I hope this suits Tirzah."

Vixen glances towards Erica as she nears and lifts a hand in casual greeting. She starts to look towards Sage, but pauses and leans a little towards Erica. "Yours getting cold?" Her brow furrows as she asks that low, oblique thing. Then she shifts her attention to Sage. "You'd be the one to know, I suppose," she says. "I don't, really." Her shoulders give a soft roll and she considers the bar before looking away. Not in the mood for a drink. She notices Sebastien, but her eyes don't linger towards him for long.

Her guitar tuned and everything ready Rubidia sets it down to take a moment to enjoy the drinks and food before she is called to play. She ought to get to enjoy some too after all. She pours herself a glass of the deep purple ice wine, eyeing its thickness warily then takes a cube of white fudge to go with it.

Erica gives Vixen a quick nod of her head in greeting. "Yep cold and heavier." She mentions to Vixen with a little shrug of her shoulders. Taking a quick sip of her drink she turns back to Sage. "I am sure she would have enjoyed this. She was usually one for a good time. The music is a nice touch as well." Spotting Sebastien she also gives him a quick nod of her head in greeting.

Sebastien takes a glass of something amber, gulps it, and then a second glass to carry. He returns then, walking towards Sage again, looking a little more sure of himself. "Hola seniorita," he calls softly, smiling at Sage. "I wonder; what format exactly is it that you had in mind? I've buried many friends over the years, but that was ... regimented. Tirzah was such a free spirit, I think she would come and smack us about and light a fire if she saw people moping."

Sage offers a weak smile to Vixen, "I suppose I would." She replies with a hint of humour. "I hope Leonard will be along if he's able." She adds before looking over to Erica. "And, I intend to take it a little beyond just music." She comments before looking over to Sebastien. She purses her lips briefly before chuckling softly. "I suppose she would at that." She comments, before taking a breath to settle herself. "I had thought about speaking about how I met Tirzah and offer to share some memories with each of you in a flowery speech... but I suppose that wouldn't be her either. You'll have to forgive me since I couldn't resist one little sentimental song....for rememberance sake" She comments before pausing briefly, "And then I plan to dance in her honour and glory... as that was one way she made me feel special. And we'll see how things go."

Vixen frowns a little as Erica responds. But she decides to leave the topic there. Time and place. Sage's asking after Leo has her shaking her head sightly. "Don't know if he will, he had some of his strange business.. and who the hell knows just where that took him today." She faintly amused and a bit worried over it. But both are passed by with a causal roll of her shoulders. "It's about you too. You wanna talk, go ahead," she adds.

"You know, when I met her," Sebastien replies, "She was this ... enigma. She barely knew how to deal with men, for example. All her life she had been surrounded by elders. I was stuck in that; I wanted to flirt with her, but whenever I tried the temperature raised twenty degrees and things threatened to burst into flame!" He laughs, "For once, I had to run away." He grins at that, and eyes Sage, "And after me she never touched a man again! So I imagine I was a poor emmisary for our cause. Speaking of which," his eyes slip left and right, "where *are* the men? I feel like I am going to be drowned by a tide of estrogen, in here."

That would be her que. With a slight nod Rubidia takes her drink and fudge back the the temporary stage. A sip of the very strong wine does wonders for her nerves and color. Looking to Sage she smiles encouragingly as she dones her guitar once more. The speakers softly hum with their readyness. A small nipple of fudge is taken and another swallow of wine. Show time.

Erica gives Sage an encouraging smile. "Oh that would be great. I am sure that will be a wonderful little show Sage. What song are you going to sing?" She asks before taking another sip of what Tirzah brewed. Her attention turns to the temporary stage and she watches Rubdia done her guitar. Looking around she goes over to the fountain to take a seat to watch the show.

Sage nods in acceptance, "I hope he returns with a good story, I wish he were here though." She comments before glancing over towards Sebastien with a frown but there's some mild amusement. "Perhaps she had a knack for nearly killing people she was interested in." She points out, "But, you'll never know her like I came to know her... and she had a greater effect on me that I thought. She named me her Air... but I think she recognized it in me before I truly did. She will live on in my heart and I will try to be Air still." She comes to a stop as she almost seems on the verge of breaking down, but she seems to recover before glancing over to Rubidia with a nod. Then she glances over towards Erica. "Not me, unless she wants accompaniment." She comments simply.

"I'm surprised you'd complain about that," Vixen notes to Sebastien, a casual edge to her words and a smirk lingering on her lips. She then looks to Sage and moves closer, up to her side. "Dunno about this air stuff, but you've always been pretty level headed from what I've seen. Which is the sort of foil that chick needed. There was a reason I told folk to stand behind her rather than in front when trouble's up." The smirk taking a lighter lean as she tilts her head, giving Sage a considering look.

"If you're up to it I wont object Sage." Rubidia offers supportively. She listens closely for whats to be said of the woman she never got to meet. Assumedly she'll use it all to shape the the entertainment for the night.

"I thought she was always fun to be around. She would really get your back too. Could always rely on her anytime." Erica says into her glass as memories of Tirzah flood her mind. She frowns down at her glass for a moment before looking up at Rubidia's statment. She giggles and looks over to Sage. "You should Sage."

"That was our problem," Sebastien notes with a laugh, "I was completely not the level head. I just ... fed that flame, everything was a trial for dominance, and while I could keep up at first, soon she came to the point where she could bring anything to a fight and win. Still." He grins at that, eyeing Sage, "she came out ahead in the end, I think. Found a prettier mate, at least!" He winks at that, and nods at Vixen. "It is forbidden to poach at a friend's rememberence, so it is a heavy cross I bear."

Sage's gaze drifts to Vixen, "Yes, she definitely needed someone like me... and she made me feel special for it. When we danced, she made sure she the one I focused on and it helped me let go and live in the moment." She comments, "She was my protector, lover... and wife, albeit for a short period of time." She seems to drift into words that likely would have formed her speech. "She had good goals of making the city a better place... and her confidence was a blessing and a curse." She gives a rueful chuckle, before raising hand to wipe moisture from her eyes. "And, I will love her forever." She adds quietly, before looking over to Sebastien. "She had more beauty than what you could see." She comments before looking between Erica and Rubidia finally. She lets out a sigh, "Alright, I'll try to burn brightly like Tirzah always strived to do... even if its a spectacular failure." She comments, "I'll join in when I get a feel for the song."

Vixen seems vaguely amused at Sebastien's response, though more at than with given the lean of her expression. "Well, if you want to have anything broadcast when it comes to her, let me know," Vixen replies lightly to Sage. "Dunno what, but I'm still gearing up, so there's plenty of air time to let slip." She grins and then eases a bit to the side of things to watch casually.

"Watching and waiting, checking on every move that you make." The music starts out soft, just Rubidia's clear voice to lead in. "If you go dancing into danger. You keep hesitating, knowing you'll pay for any mistake. You won't be dancing into danger." She coninues and the song escalates with a crescendo and a strong steady base beat. "In a foreign land there's no home ground. There's nowhere to run to in this town. Stay on your guard both night and day. You've got to be ready, come what may."

Erica claps her hands and gives out a whistle as Sage decides that she will sing. "You will do great Sage." She offers as encourgament while walking back over to the bar to refill her glass. She returns to her seat on the fountain so she can watch the show, her head moves in time with the music.

Sebastien peers at Sage, head cocked to the right, and replies simply, "I imagine that's so. Her competitiveness has rubbed off on you, mademoiselle. When I met you, you would not say such things." He reaches to pat Sage once on the shoulder, and leaves the woman to head back towards the bar, head on the swivel. Looking for ... something? Someone? Who can say?

"She was good at goading." Sage mentions before looking over to Vixen. "Okay." She adds with a nod, "I appreciated." Then she pauses when she hears the song selection. It was one of the first that she had danced with Tirzah. It seems to strike her as physical blow at first before she straightens with a determined, delight on her features before her eyes slide shut and she raises her voice to when the lyrics as the upcoming 'Dancing into Danger' part starts.

Vixen picks a spot that gives her a clear view of the music and such. Her arms loosely crossing her chest, head given a slight tilt. She notes Sage's reaction to the song with a slight arch of her brow and a step forward, though she relaxes even as the movement is made. Not so bad. And her brows lift a little as Sage starts to sing. Her expression dips into the thoughtful, chewing over something quietly as she listens.

Rubidia chuckles, taking a quick breath and sip with the song done. Looking out to those present she nods slighty. "I'm going to deviate a bit from the prescibed notion. I know a song that particularly rings true. So i'm going to sing it to get that off my heart before moving onto the partying. Sage, I've seen you be the warmest gentlest person I've ever met. And I've met a lot of people. You deserve this song. I hope it sings true to you." The performer bids, a bid teary eyed before she starts into the soft love song. "The words have been drained from this pencil. Sweet words that I want to give you. And I can't sleep, I need to tell you, Goodnight." Her guitarsoftly strums to the soft song flowing strong under Rubidia's capable voice. "When we're together, I feel perfect, When I'm pulled away from you, I fall apart. All that you say is sacred to me. Your eyes are so blue. I can't look away as we lay in the stillness. You whisper to me.. Baby, marry me. Promise you'll stay with me. Oh you don't have to ask me. You know you're all that I live for. You know I'd die just to hold you, stay with you. Somehow I'll show you that you are my night's sky. I've always been right behind you. Now I'll always be right beside you... So many nights I cried myself to sleep .Now that you love me, I love myself. I never thought I would say this. I never thought there'd be, you"

Erica listens in silence at Sage's singing as it joins with Rubidia's. Her eyes water slightly as as she listens to the song. She takes a long drink from her glass as she leans forward to better listen to the music. Her foot taps against the floor as she listens to the moving music. The next song makes a tear roll down her cheek as she seems to be mezmorized by the music.

While the Dancing into Danger song goes, Sage relives the moment of the dance. It gives her added strength to the song but it also does let a couple tears run down her cheeks as well. She doesn't let it get her into the sniffling state, though. It becomes clear as the song goes on that she wants to dance to the song. But, she seems to manager to get through the song. She looks over to the Rubidia before nodding faintly to the woman's comment. She doesn't know this song, though. She song makes her eyes get misty again, but this time she begins to move slowly to the dance. "For you, Tirzah..." She whispers, "Its perfect."

Sebastien's eyes fall on Erica, watching her cry for some moments as he leans against a pillar in the garden. His eyes lift to the hanging plants a little self-consciously, and he turns then to watch the duet up front. His eyes are dry, his lips pursed, and he casually folds his arms before his chest, then uncrosses them, pushing off of the pillar. Turning then, he quietly slips from the gathering. Fleeing, most likely, to a different place.

Vixen closes her eyes slightly, though not fully as she listens to the singing. A quiet stillness lingering for her. She doesn't seem misty eyed, but her expression does relax some, from one song to the next. Standing a bit to the side with her arms loosely crossed and a clear view though it does her less good with her eyes half shut. She shifts her feet a little, but is otherwise still. Amid the second song, she starts to hum, once the rhythm of it becomes clear. An act that isn't clearly intentional and not all that unpleasant to listen to.

"Thanks Sage, now on with that party." She states with a wide smile as her speakers turn up and her guitar hums. "Voted most likely to end up on the back of a milk box drink. Looks like I'm lettin 'em down. 'Cause seven seventy-five isn't worth an hour of my hard working time when you can't afford half the shit they advertise. Oh, I'm worth more than an X, more than the toe-tag generation full of regrets. Oh, I won't settle no-o, oh, I can't settle. I wanna break the mold, wanna break the stereotype. Fist in the air, I'm not going down without a fight." The song goes, loudly, positively, exactly how she's gathered Tirzah was, bold and admirable. "It's my life and I'm not sitting on the sidelines watching it pass me by, I'm leaving you my legacy I I gotta make my mark, I gotta run it hard I want you to remember me I'm leaving my fingerprints, I'm leaving my fingerprints, I'm leaving my fingerprints on you."

Erica gets up from the fountain and moves back to the bar. She takes a cocktail napkin and dabs at her eyes. She takes a moment to pull herself together as she drinks down the contents of the glass and pours herself another. She takes her full glass and turns back to the performing area to listen to the tribute.

It is ironic that one so readily mobile is also the one often fashionably (or so he hopes) late. Leonard slips into the gardens from the library as unobstrusively as he can. He moves to join the humming Vixen and makes her aware of his arrival with a hand upon her shoulder.

By the end of the song, Sage is very nearly an emotional wreck. Her cheeks are damp, but she bends her will to keep herself going. "Leonard!" She calls, as one good thing happens. Then the music helps boost her back up. With her spirits lifted, she readily gives herself into the happier dance. Where the dance before hand sorrow and pain... this one flies in defiance of the emotions. "No one's going to join me?" She asks in mild protest.

Vixen catches herself humming when the music pauses, which ca uses it to end abruptly, the young woman clearing her throat unnecessarily. Then she gets touched and she snaps her head to the side, a fist tensing. The two movements paused, then eased away when she sees it's Leo. A warm smile comes to her and she turns to lean into him for a brief, but firm hug. Which means a bit from her. "Didn't think you'd be home tonight," she says, obviously glad to be wrong. She does look towards Sage at the prompting, though the potential for dance get a leery expression from her.

Erica spots Leonard and gives him a quick wave in greeting. She giggles as she sets down her drink to join Sage on the dance floor. She quickly starts moving with the music gracefull. Flashing Sage a warm smile she dances around joyfully to the music as Rubdia plays.

Leonard provokes a momentary fist, a happy exclamation, then is the target of a hug, a smile, a leer, and a possible invitation? It is quite the mix to handle in so rapid a succession. He responds to the embrace and smile first, and in kind. "Well, I'm not technically home, yet, so you're still never wrong." It's a light jest to Vixen before he turns his smile to Sage. "It's good to see you, Sage. I'm sure we could all join you." Now he lifts a brow in question to Vixen.

Sage's dancing - as ever - is left to her own rhymthm and this time she's determined to be wildly devoted to the dance to make up for the flare missing from her partner's style. "You better." She replies, before she reaches out to the only one on the floor right now. "Change places and spin." She comments before she begins to initiate the maneuvre whether Erica is ready or not.

And the show goes on, a short break to sip some more of the fine wine and another nibble of fudge and Rubidia continues with another moving song. "I was only seventeen when she looked at me that way. Seems like yesterday. I was only foolin' round but she stole my heart away I've never been the same." She begins vocally, in the same style as the first song of the night. "I have this strangest feeling like a raging fire it burns. She left i cried for weeks and I can't forget her or the lesson that I learned." She sings proudly, her guitar porviding constant strong accompanyment. "Love changes changes everything. Love makes you fly, it can break your wings. Love changes changes everything, love makes the rules, from fools to kings. Love changes, love changes everything... Then the year went rollin' by I grew up and moved away. Had to earn my pay. Found another lover then but my heart is sad to say it only ended up the same way. And I wondered was I destined to spent my life alone. Oh boy you answered my question. This time its working, you're giving me the hope... I've seen the way love shapes you, makes you, breaks you. Its got a power of its own... Love changes changes everything. Love makes you fly, it can break your wings. Love changes changes everything, love makes the rules, from fools to kings. Love changes, love changes everything"

Erica hears Sage on the dance floor and she raises up on her toes to change places with Sage them moving into a graceful spin. She flashes Sage a quick smile at the end of her spin and then fairly seamlessly moves to the next song the Rubidia plays.

Vixen gives Leonard a dire look as he looks at her with that questioning brow. "I don't dance," she says simply. "And I don't know about flailing around and making a fool of myself." A soft determination in her voice. "I ain't gunna stop you, though." She eases back a bit from Leo, letting him free to do as he will for the moment. She then looks over o Sage and says, "Sorry, Sage. Dancing ain't really my thing."

That places Leonard in a somewhat awkward position, causing him to pause momentarily. "You are incapable of making a fool of yourself, Vix. If nothing else, I will look the larger fool, and distract from you." He tries to encourage without insistance, then steps off. His gaze lingers on her for a few more steps before turning to approach the moving Sage and Erica.

This next song seems just as fitting to Sage, but it doesn't keep her from noticing the reluctance of Vixen. "Not really a dance either." She replies as she makes her way over towards the man that's stepping onto the floor to grab his hand and draw him further onto the open floor. "I'll try not to break him." She adds, seemingly letting the music push away the sorrow that's been holding her in a fugue.

Erica gives Leonard a quick nod of her head as she twirls about the dance floor. She gives Leonard a little space so that he can dance as well. She giggles a little bit as Sage grabs him, before continuing on with her own dance movements.

As that song draws to a close Rubidia pauses to get everones attention as she takes another sip of wine. "Wow, that stuff goes right to your head." She compliments positively before giving a light nod. "Just a heads up this next song is japanese. I'm a firm beleiver that music needs no translation. Though, if you are curious, I can fill you in after." She explains before slipping into the slow and uplifting foreign song.

Vixen frowns faintly, despite Leo's attempt to lure her. Her arms go up, crossing her chest. Though to add to the mix of her signals, she eases a little closer to the open dancing area. But not onto it. Her lips pursed, she considers those on it with an unreadable expression as she loiters for the time being.

Leonard smiles to Sage when she comes near. "I'm not much of one, eith-" Then he is grabbed and officially joined in the dance, which initially means attempting to regain his balance and keep up. At least he doesn't need to worry about the lyrics. "Yes, don't break me, please..." Leonard is still smiling, but it does become slightly nervous in a shadow of Leonard past, "or give anyone else reason to?" The addition is made much more quietly than the rest.

A faint chuckle comes to Leonard's reaction and subsequent requests as Sage dances her way around the man. The new song seems to be a little odd, but she keeps her dancing simple and perhaps a little foolish looking as if she were younger still than she is. "Are you asking for someone to rescue you then?" She asks before making a come hither gesture to Vixen and trying her best to keep Leonard from looking over towards Vixen.

Erica laughs as she enjoys the dancing. After a little while she gets off the dance floor and heads over to the bar. She takes a moment to catch her breath before picking up and taking a sip from her drink. After that sip she sets down her glass and heads over towards the washroom.

Rubidia fingers her guitar expertly, bringing forth the song she sings without any noticeable effort. "Through wind and rain we burn bright; Learn to fly through flames and hold tight; With so many ways to go wrong; But when i look in your eyes they're all gone." Her voice gets bold as she works through the next bit of lyrics. "And in my dreams it feels like we are forty stories tall; When you're around ooh we're untouchable; And in my dreams it feels like we aren't ever gonna fall; We're safe and sound and we're untouchable... It's only real when you're not around; I'm walking in the rain the sun goes down oh oh; And only love can save us now; I need you here again to show me how oh oh." Rubidia sings, her voice coming back down. "I know that love shouldn't be so hard; And sometimes we're standing in the dark; But you light up everywhere i go." And with that her lights are out, save a beam from her hand spotlighting Galvin. "And I know a heart shouldn't beat so hard; And sometimes we're swimming with the sharks; But you light up and keep me out the cold." Rubidia then ignites for the first time during the performance for another bold take of the chorus at the loudest volume shows the song is coming to a close. "Whenever you're gone gone they wait at the door; And everything's hurting like a bore; Without any meaning we're just skin and bone; Like beautiful robots dancing alone. And in my dreams it feels like we are forty stories tall; When you're around ooh we're untouchable; And in my dreams it feels like we aren't ever gonna fall; We're safe and sound and we're untouchable."

Vixen purses her lips as she considers Sage and Leo. She hears what's being said.. though some of it is a bit hard to hear. Filters and ultra ear a comfortable duo for her now. Sage's beckoning is noted and after a few moments of lingering, she steps forward, her arms relaxing to her sides, though with a little tension. The 'open' nature of the dancing area seems to bother her for some reason, but she will brave it for the moment.

"Not necessarily," Leonard admits as he attempts to follow Sage's lead, simple or otherwise. "I simply hope that I won't need rescue." The situation might be a very suitable honorific for Tirzah, as he can easily imagine her amusement at all of it. He does attempt to glance Vixen's way when he is able, but Sage seems to conveniently make that not happen with the course and turn of their steps.

Perhaps its the lack of other observers or the singer choosing personalized songs that helps Sage cut loose. She could look completely ridiculous with her dancing, but it doesn't seem to matter to her. She made a promise to herself that she'd dance for Tirzah's glory and she is among friends. It isn't until Vixen has approached them that she turns Leonard about to give the man the possibility of dancing with Vixen. If she's successful in that, she'll slip off to grab herself a drink.

And it would seem Rubidiahas exhausted her current repertoire of suited songs. Though she certainly doesnt consider herself the be all and end all of song choices. So with another pause for more refreshments she waits for peoples attention. "Any requests folks? What song sings Tirzah to you?"

Vixen blinks as she's presented with Leo. And for a moment she seems almost shy, her eyes flicking towards Sage, fingers lightly rubbing at her pants in a distracted manner. Rubidia's question gets her a look, but then a slight shake of head. No suggestions. Instead, she looks to Leo again and seems willing to place the ball in his court, much as Sage has.

Leonard never really had the ball, until now. Not that his stumbling before wasn't pleasant. "Thank you, Sage." He is also grateful, and amazed, that she managed to lure Vixen out. "I'm glad you stepped up," he reassures Vixen while offering his hand. "Something merry, but simple and relaxed?" Leonard says this loud enough to also be an answer to Rubidia's question. Could that be how he quanitifies Tirzah? That could be difficult for some to correlate, but it /would/ be easier to dance to.

Sage purses her lips as she considers her glass, "Tirzah always said that it was my love and support that kept letting her burn brighter and achieve better things." She comments, "I'm not sure if there's a song that goes along with that, though... or maybe you've already sung it." She adds with chagrin bemusement before she sips from the drink.

Rubidia shrugs, thinking a bit about what Vixen said about the volatile friend and comes up with somthing a bit more hardcore rock to play. "Incinerate my skin, and touch me far far beyond. Burn me out, my sin, and take me deeper underground. I know it's way too late when this dance has begun. So put on the heat and let the fire run... Take me away, my black flame... Immaculate you are in your tender violence and when you touch my heart I'll always lower my defense. Don't let me wait too long cause I don't like to be save. We know we can't go wrong on our way through time and space... Take me away, my black flame"

Vixen shrugs her shoulders a little, but takes Leo's hand. "I dunno what to do," she murmurs to him. Though with her hand in his, she steps closer to him and her other hand lifts to lightly rest on his shoulder. Something else seems to be on her mind, though when she speaks, it's a bit less than deep. "I guess maybe someday I should learn how to dance." Though the thought of that doesn't fill her with joy. And when Rubidia breaks into a harder rock tune, she looks over and seems a bit lost as to what to do next.

"That's the easy part. All you need to do is move." Leonard starts to do just that and rotates Vixen partially around him in the process. It's even easier when he moves in time to only every second or third beat. Jumping crazily around isn't his style, and he doubts she would find that very encouraging, so he just steps and bobs lightly on his feet. "Just forget about everyone else and do what you feel like."

Sage purses her lips as she considers the song as she puts the drink aside. She gives a soft chuckle, "My flame..." She comments, casting her gaze towards somewhere unseen. She doesn't pay much mind to what she should be doing, she keeps her movements simple but her gestures could easily be seen as mimicking flames. "You are eternal now." She continues as her voice drops towards more of a whisper, "And perhaps one day you will take me away." The song seems to suit as she picks pieces of it to . "Until then... my love." Saying good-bye doesn't feel quite right, but it seems to help her towards closure. She closes her eyes, keeping whatever other dialogue she might have to herself and her thoughts.

"I got a lot to say to you. Yeah, I got a lot to say. I noticed your eyes are always glued to me, keeping them here, and it makes no sense at all... They taped over your mouth scribbled out the truth with their lies. You little spies They taped over your mouth scribbled out the truth with their lies. You little spies... Crush Crush Crush

Crushcrush" Rubidia belts, keeping with the bolder songs and gaining momentum. "Nothing compares to a quiet evening alone. Just the one, two i was just counting on. That never happens I guess I'm dreaming again. Let's be more than this... If you want to play it like a game Well, come on, come on, let's play. Cause I'd rather waste my life pretending than have to forget you for one whole minute..."

"You say that like it's easy," Vixen murmurs to his second bit of advice. Though when Leo started moving, she did too. Shifting according to his lead for the turn. At the very least, she's somewhat light on her feet. A little grace, but more just a quick and stable step. And for a short while at least she'll move with him. Though her uncertainty doesn't leave. And then there will be a soft chime from inside her coat and she'll glance down towards it. "Didn't expect.." She looks back up to Leo then and says, "I have to go. Business that won't wait." Though she doesn't leave him entirely wanting, pressing a kiss onto his lips before she smiles and says, "That wasn't so bad, I'll see you back at home. Soon, but go be nice to Sage a while," she murmurs, glancing towards the woman a moment before she slips away and goes. Looking back once before she departs the garden.

Leonard considered himself lucky when Vixen stepped out onto the floor and stopped eyeing him suspiciously, so the brief dance is nothing short of a windfall. The rest is even better. I definitely wasn't so bad, and he turns to share his renewed smile with everyone before stepping over to grab a quick refreshment.

And with that Rubidia takes a breath and a break, setting the guitar down and switching the speakers to play songs at random for her she moves for a refill of her wine and a helping of strawberries. Those in hand she then moves to Sage's side. "Well, did it work?'

The last song draws an uncertain dance from Sage before letting out a little of her anger and defiance with swift motions at the part that involves the repeated crushes. By the end, she's feeling a bit drained and goes back to fetch her drink. When the songs resume, it takes a glance over to ensure the singer is actually taking a break. She considers the question for a moment. "I tried my best." She replies, "And it helped, I think." She adds before offering a small smile to the other woman. "Thank you for doing this."

A glass of wine and a few strawberries seem and excellent idea, so Leonard follows suit. He also trails Rubidia towards Sage. "I think that you arranged a wonderful celebration," he assures her before glancing to Rubidia over his glass, "and your performance was a strong part of it."

"Well it is what I do. Thank you." Rubidia says in acknowledgemt to both Sage and Leonard. "I'm happy to help and happy to perform so this is atleast a tripple win for me. Plus a good deviation from the clubs." She explains before eating another stawberry and chasing with wine.

Sage's gaze drifts over to Leonard and offers a faint smile to the man before inclining her head, "Thank you." She replies softly, before she sips from her own drink. Her gaze shifts back to Rubidia with a quiet considering look, before she produces a folded card. "I may not have the place I want yet, but you deserve this..." She comments, as she holds it out to Rubidia. Inside the folded card is a version of the appointment card for her business that she discussed with Nemain.

"You're both very welcome." Leonard hopes that there are more opportunities to celebrate, and hopefully due to more pleasant causes. He says nothing more for the moment so the two can speak of... business? The strawbeery was in need of eating, anyhow.

"I'll make sure of that." Rubidia confirms to Sage with a confident smile as she takes the envelope. Having no pockets she takes a moment to step back to the stage and put it with her other things.

Sage nods faintly to Rubidia, before draining the last of her glass. "I guess things are winding down." She comments as she glances towards wherever Leo wandered off to. "I don't suppose you'd mind waiting while I change and walk me home?" She asks simply.

Leonard did not go far, only enough to grant them some privacy. He had no plans to abandon Sage just yet, and shakes his head. "Not at all. I wouldn't be much of a friend if I made you walk home alone." Leonard will forgo a refil of wine, now. If what Rubidia says was true, it's wise. He wouldn't be a good friend if he left her to drag him, stumbling, home, either.

Rubidia returns to help herself to more strawberries and wine. Showing no concern for having to stumble home after. Though her feelings in the morning may hold regret. "Dont stay on my account." She insists politely. "I can have the boys down here to take things down right away." She points out with assurance.

Sage's gaze drifts between the two, before settling on Rubidia. "Thank you again." She replies, "Take care..." She pauses to consider the drinks. "I'll tell someone on the way out to store those until I can take them back." She adds, before looking to Leonard. "I'll be back and ready to go soon... I think the only thing this night missed with a good hug or two." She adds before shrugging and chuckling herself as she begins to move off.

"I'll be here," Leonard finishes his wine and joins Sage in a chuckle, "and I'll see if I can't find a few of those for you when you return." When she moves off, he looks to Rubidia. "If you need any help, let me know."

A knocking comes from the door...

It's a little bit before the door swings open. Nemmy seems to have adopted terrycloth as an outfit for the moment. Hair wrapped in a deep blue terrycloth towel. A huge white one playing the part of a sarong around her as she holds the door open. "Yes?" comes from around a toothbrush as a snowy brow quirks upwards.

By the time that the door opens, Sage's finger has nervously twined in a lock of her hair. She considers the other woman with a touch of sadness in her features. "Can I come in?" She asks softly, "I have something to tell you... and I apologize for leaving it so long."

Nemain blinks and motions for you to come in, then looks out into the hallway as if expecting another body to be coming in as well. Finding none she seems a little confused, but shuts hte door anyway. The toothbrush is removed as she murmurs, "Sorry that my trip back to Lazlo took so bloody long. I didn't mean for things to be this long." She gestures towards one of the availble seats before vanishing into the bathroom for a moment to ditch the toothbrush and rinse.

Sage walks into the apartment, before she looks back to Nemain. "Its okay." She replies softly, before she nods faintly to the gestures. She wanders over to the seat. She takes the pause to consider how she wants to break the news. Yet, it only seems to accomplish having her eyes mist up.

Nemain returns with the addition of a robe wrapped around her and secured. A look of concern showing as she notes the misty eyed expression. "Sage? Did I erk someone off with my taking off to learn some more? Is Tir firing me now?"

Sage looks up to Nemain once the woman speaks, before her expression briefly shows her incomprehension of the concern. "No..." She replies, before she draws a mildly ragged breath. "She's dead..." She adds softly, before lowering her gaze to let the other woman react without her own grief influencing the other woman.

Nemain rocks visibly at that simple statement. "Wh-what? No, I know she'd be pissed at my vanishing. But no." She sinks to her knees and tries to catch your eye to see if it's a cruel and wickedly horrid joke.

When the other woman sinks to her knees, Sage ends up lifting her own gaze. A single tear spilling down her cheek. She draws a couple breathes that still seem a little ragged. She begins to reach out to the other woman with a trembling hand. "I'm sorry..." She replies, "I know you cared for her too..."

Nemain is trembling under the hand when it reaches her. She clamps her eyes shut and tries not to sob. Slowly she shifts forward to gently take you into her arms and just hold you. Her face burried in against your shoulder as she sniffles. "Wh-what-t a home comming." she breaths,

Offering no resistence, Sage lets herself be drawn forward and off the chair if need be to accomodate the other woman's wish to be held. She puts her arms around Nemain, before sniffling a little herself. Her hands move lightly against the other woman's back in an attempt to comfort. "I wish you could have been there for the rememberance..." She comments softly, "We celebrated her with music and dance..."

Nemain chuckles softly at that. The sound of it strained. "I'm not sure she'd have liked that. But I could be wrong. She was always more the firedance type, I think."

Sage makes a faint noise at the fire dance type comment, "Are you volunteering for that?" She asks, the humour spoiled a little by the tone in which she asks.

Nemain snorts softly as she shakes her head. "Only if you want something burned down. I can't dance." She turns her head a little to kiss your cheek lightly. "How're you holding up?" she whispers.

Sage gives a brief chuckle at the comment before pausing as she feels the kiss on her cheek. She takes a breath and lets it out, "Could be better... but, I think I'm beginning to find my path forward." She comments before another small pause, "Thank you for asking."

Nemain nods slightly as she just relaxes in the hug. "She'll bee sorely missed. But I think she'd also kick out rumps for moping too long."

As for the hug lingers, Sage finds herself relaxing into the hug as well. She gives a chuckle that's a little more mirthful, "Sebastien said something similar at the rememberance before he left." She murmurs.

Nemain gasps and fights down a giggle. "Ohh.. I cam just picture that too. They were once an item, I believe she'd said."

"Yes, they were." Sage replies with a faint nod, "Of course, what you probably don't know is that she wanted me too ... at the same time. Just imagine how that would have worked out..." She suggests with a musing tone.

Nemain shudders. "Ohh my.... But I do know about the wanting part." She slowly releases you from her hug and draws slightly back. "No... I won't push. Too many raw edges at the moment."

The closeness and humour shared seems to help Sage hold off most of the sadness that had welled up within her at having to let another person know about Tirzah. She pulls back from the hug as she's released, but it isn't until the second comment comes. She blinks, before her gaze flickers over Nemain's features. "I thought you wanted Tirzah." She says, before nodding to the comment.

Nemain wrinkles her nose at you. "I'm fond of you both. Erm.. You know what I ment, right?"

A brief pause comes before Sage nods faintly in response. "Yeah." She replies softly, before becoming thoughtful as her gaze drifts down. "I'm moving out of her apartment." She comments after a moment, "What used to be Cali's place too."

Nemain blinks at that and sighs. "So you'll no longer be my neighbor?" She sounds almost heart broken by that thought. "I-I do understand it though. Too many memories in the places." She glances down and away with a sigh. "She was trying to hire me out of the Draconic Secrets. Guess that's not happening."

Sage pauses when the woman sounds hurt by the thought of her moving out, before nodding to the comment of understanding. "I'm sorry, I didn't think..." She trails off as she seems to think that comment would be suitable enough. Then she purses her lips as she considers the next comment. She reaches out to lightly lift the other woman's gaze back up gently. "Did you want her to hire you away?" She asks softly.

A pairs of tears roll down her cheeks as her face is lifted again. She bites her lower lip for a moment then sighs, "I had hoped. She had some good proposals. But now I don't know if it would happen."

Mild concern enters her features as Sage sees the pair of tears roll down the other woman's cheek. She takes a moment to gently wipe the tears from the cheeks. "What kind of proposals?" She asks softly.

Nemain takes a slow shuddering breath and holds it for a count of twenty. Then lets it out. "She had some ideas that I could help with. More projects like the bed and workbench. We had even spoken of building a machine that could charge E-clips off the energies of hte lines."

Sage lets the other woman take her time in preparing herself to answer the question, before nodding to the comment. "I think, perhaps, that I may know a business that could benefit from your work." She comments, "I could make the introductions when you are ready... and you can decide if its something right for you."

Nemain cants her head slightly at that and quirks up a brow again. "What sort of work? One of my issues is a lack of reliable gems."

Sage takes a moment to consider the woman's question and comment, "It seems to me that Tirzah's business was about finding solutions or alternatives to what is already in place." She comments, "I think those kind of projects would still fit within this other business." She pauses, "As for the gems, that may be a subject that needs discussion."

Nemain nods slightly as she mulls that all over. "Yes, it was about finding other ways to get things done. And I have several ideas for projects that could work like that." She settles back to sit on hte floor and looks up to you. "You are alright... I'm alright, I think."

Sage smiles softly as the other woman speaks of having ideas for projects, before nodding faintly. "At the moment, it seems." She comments before she begins to rise to her feet. "Now then, where might you have a notepad?" She asks softly, "I can write down the address of the place."

Nemain slowly unfolds and pads over to the workbench to pull out a notepad. She has to flip several pages before she finds a clean one. Then starts searching for something to write with.

As the other woman wanders over to the workbench, Sage follows along with a slight delay and remains a respective distance away. She produces a pen herself, and holds out her hand for the notepad. "Allow me."

Nemain ohhs and stops digging to offer the pad over. Only then does she find the pen she was searching for. "Always happens that way, doesn't it?"

Sage gives Nemain an amused look, "Of course." She comments before she takes the pad to write down an address along River Walk. To those that may be familiar with the region, the number seems like it might be in the same general area as Jelani's Adventures. Then she offers over the notepad to the other woman.

Nemain's lips quirk a bit at the address. "This is about the same as JA's address isn't it?" Her head canting as she offers a small slightly strained smile. The towel about her hair taking that moment to let loose as her snowy shaded tresses flop down over her face ans shoulders in a soft, wet smuck.

"I believe it may be in the neighbourhood." Sage replies, "Does that make you more or less interested?" She asks with a raised brow, before getting an amused look at the damp hair landing making its freedom known.

Nemain sputters a little as she rakes the tresses from her eyes. "I was just thinking she might enjoy knowing that the shop was still going. As wasn't she a part of it's founding?"

Sage purses her lips before shaking her head, "No, she worked at the front desk there." She replies, "She just tried her own hand at ... a different sort of adventuring later on." She comments before shrugging.

Nemain ahhs and grins. "My mistake then. But that is a good area for building. Prices are bound to be up there a bit though."

"Indeed." Sage replies with a smaller grin forming on her own lips, before nodding. "There are more expensive places, I think." She adds before offering a faint shrug. "Shall I assume you'll be dropping by then?" She asks with a faintly raised brow.

Nemain nods slightly, "I think you could count on that. Not like business has bene happening all that much at the DS of late. And now there are rumors of there being yet another TW in town. Cound be interesting."

Sage nods faintly before smiling once more, "Alright, I'll make sure that you are expected then." She comments, unsure of whether the other woman has seen through her subtly or not. She offers a faint shrug, "Kingsdale is probably an appealing place with some of the uncertainty of war around." She comments, before taking a breath and letting it out. "I'm glad I dropped by... even if it was with bad news." She adds softly.

Nemain reaches up to lightly brush one finger down your cheek. "I'll come. And even with the sad news, I am glad you stopped by." She leans in to ever so lightly kiss hte corner of your lips.

Sage's gaze considers the other woman as she feels the brush of the finger, before she raises her hand to lightly touch the place where the kiss was received. She isn't quite sure how to react, before stepping forward to hug the other woman. "Take care until then." She murmurs.

Nemain hugs back and sighs. "Until then, Sage. Until then. And thank you for telling me." Logfile from Rifts.
