Mechanic Assistance

Getting the assistance of NPC or player characters in permorming mechanical type tasks is possible. With this assistance a player characters /BASE/ repair times would not be altered. However their chances of success would be increased then making the possibility of increased job length less likely. The extra person, whether player character or NPC, helping gives you a bonus equal to half their skill. So that if you had an operator with a skill of 30 percent s/he would give you a +15 percent bonus to your skill roll.
Likewise if you had a psi-tech using tele-mechanics with a base skill of 30 percent would have a total of 45 percent using tele-mechanics thus giving you a +22 percent bonus to you skill rolls. Normally you will only be allowed a single assistant on any given job unless determined with staff that more assistants may be utilized.
