Leonard smirks as he motions to her with a hand. "I very much doubt that you would. That's one worry you need not have."
Flare smiles and takes a few more long drinks of her glass and then smiles a bit, "Well, have a few more before I need to go on."
Vixen comes back into the Alibi without more than a brief pause at the check. She hadn't taken her weapons with her. Coming right back to the table, she'll snatch up her drink whilst still on her feet, glancing between the two. "Sorry about that, had to talk over some work stuff with a guy that don't much care for this place. So we kept it out there. Mostly just boring stuff," she notes to Leo. She'll consider Flare, then ask, "Go on?" Settling herself back into her seat after the question is asked.
"You're welcome to loiter, here. I quite enjoy the conversation." Leonard takes a final quaff of his water and returns it to the table. Vixen's return prompts a nod and a widening smile in welcome. "I understand. No bad news is still good news, though, yes?" His empty have gestures back to Flare. "She's on her way to work, and just enjoying a drink or two beforehand."
Flare nods to Vixen, "Yeah, just hanging out a bit before going and dancing a few sets." she says and smiles a little, watching her for a moment.
"Well, good enough. Won't really be good until we start making more progress. But its better than it started in some areas," Vixen notes to Leo, giving him a grin. She then looks to Flare. "Dancing?" And being paid for it. She considers the elf for a few moments more before she nods, understanding. "I guess you work with what you got, huh?" A casual comment in every way.
Leonard nods to Vixen and his own smile widens, unevenly. "You're no slouch at dancing, yourself, although I'm slightly biased, and far from an expert opinion. I thought I'd attempt to broaden my opinion and see how the professionals do it. A little extra cheering for a friend." His gaze shifts to Flare as he adds a mirthful query, "I don't suppose that there is an occupation for paid judges, is there?"
Flare chuckles a little and nods to Vixen, "Well it pays the bills and lets me get some money saved up while I wait for a job to come along, that better uses my talents." she shakes her head a bit, "I don't plan to be stuck in the dregs forever."
"Considering what you can do, merc work would pay way better," Vixen nods. Leo's own thoughts on evaluation gets him a look, though it's a guarded one. "Yeah, you and every other man wishes there were," she murmurs. "If you're going, I guess I'd better come along." Not deeply thrilled, but she keeps her voice in a neutral territory. Neither pro, nor con on the issue. Though she adds, eyeing Leo, "I guess I know your motivation now for trying to get me into dancing."
"At least we're consistent?" Leonard chuckles despite Vixen's look and gives her a gentle nudge. "I didn't expect you'd allow me to go unsupervised, but I've hoped you'd dance merely to dance." There is a slight roll of his shoulders. "Maybe you'll keep me from getting lost, as well, since I've never visited there before." He now nods to Flare with his agreement of Vixen's other thoughts. "I do regret that our timetable was delayed, but she's right. A bit more dangerous than drunken men, but much more lucrative. There is every indication that there will be more work to follow, as well."
Flare cocks her head to the side a little, and nods, "Yes, merc work pays more, but one has to eat, and be able to afford a place to live, and certain basic needs while waiting for that work to come. Cause it don't pay all the time."
"Don't you got some other skills?" Vixen's careful question to Flare. "Ain't saying nothing against you now, but.. well, when it comes to things I'd do, that's kinda low on the list, you know? Sort of a moot point for me, cause I got lucky when it comes to learning shit." She shrugs her shoulders a little. She then looks to Leo. "I assume we're talking about the Ivory Lady? If so, I've been there once or twice. Mostly on business. Bad choice of location on their part, but.." She shrugs slightly.
"I think she mentioned racing or something of the sort? And, yes, that would be the place." Leonard looks from Vixen to Flare, offering some smiling encouragement to the latter. "Don't let her grill you too much. I expect that you have far more useful skills than I. Even dancing as you do isn't an option for me, obviously."
Flare thinks for a moment, "other skills...hmm. Well I can use a sword so I suppose I could just mug people, or just try to win it with a little gambling, but not that good at cards. Don't know enough about mechanics except to get me to where It can be fixed." she shakes her head a bit. "Hard to learn paying skills other than merc stuff, growing up under the coalitions thumb and being a d-bee and psychic." She nods, "Well racing is an option if there was a place to do it."
Vixen nods her head slowly, quietly thoughtful. "I guess so," she murmurs. Then she shakes her head a little. "Anyway, once you guys do your thing, you can do something else, maybe." But that's as much as she leans on the issue before looking to Leo. "You got plenty of skills. You just gotta figure out where you want to apply them. That's something I've been thinking about a bit. I think, maybe, you need a good, enjoyable job to focus on. Might help a lot of things. Nothing too involved, mind. Doing merc contracts here and there are good for money, but between time, we need something to focus on. the refugees are one thing I've got. Been thinking if there were other ways you could fit into that.. got any ideas?"
Leonard purses his lips and looks firmly to the fiery elf. "Don't let something like a few morons with guns keep you from anything. We're better than they are, and they know it. That's why they do what they do." Not the most pleasant of subjects, and so he shifts to Vixen's. "I think you've named all the productive ventures that I can think of. Vassago's enterprise became snarled and drowned in the city's paperwork, and I've not heard from him since. What sort of day-to-day employ can you imagine for a semi-educated individual who has a knack for tearing holes in the fabric of space-time?" He refills his glass as she speaks and then hides a growing grin behind a drink. "Tour guide? Travel agent?"
Flare nods and finishes her drink, "If you will excuse me, see you around." she says to the others and then stands and starts for the door.
Vixen shifts her gaze towards Flare and nods once to her. "Alright, see ya," she offers, a hand lifted in a light wave before she looks back to Leo. "Well, there are places that do that sort of thing. Maybe you could try being a resident shifter or something like that. Opening portals and such." She shrugs her shoulders slightly. "Dunno if they'd pay a wage for that or do it on a.. per rift basis or something."
"I'll see you again soon, Flare." Leonard also offers a wave and smile before turning back to Vixen, considering. "I meant it entirely in jest, but I suppose there is need of it. If nothing else, it does make long travel infinitely faster and more secure. It can get exhausting with large groups or frequent trips, however."
Flare nods and shrugs, "maybe." she says and then is out the door.
Vixen nods her head to Leo, though she glances after Flare as the woman departs the place. "So do you think I insult her or what?" Her eyes shift back to Leo. "I would have gone with you too, you know. Over to that place. Can't promise I'd enjoy it all that much, but you know.." Her shoulders give a subtle roll. "Just.. that kind of work seems like last ditch, you know?"
Leonard watches the departure as well, and with concern for more than merely the view. "I don't think you insulted her, Vix. The first time I spoke to her, she seemed hopeful to find the work that she now has. She's very low on confidence, I think, and afraid of herself. It might be desperation, but she seems to enjoy what she does, to some extent." Vixen now receives his focus, and a smile. "I've been threatening to visit there for some time, and never had the time, or the nerve. Now I've found it, but I shouldn't have just dropped it on you like that." The two are still at their little booth, conversing.
Shopping is done, and Maya returns to the scene of so many crimes. She jumps down the stairs, having deposited the bags at her hotel room. A wave of her hand and the drink is heading towards their table as she gives them a moment's warning of imminent hugs. "Still here?" She offers hugs to both before she drops into the seat opposite, taking up her drink with a broad grin.
Vixen purses her lips at the thought of enjoying that kind of dancing. But she keeps commentary unsaid, letting the quibble go. Not important. "Nah.. its ok," Vixen replies with a casual shrug. "I figure watching is ok.. and maybe I can understand it a little better if I come along. Or at least make sure it stays at watching." She gives him careful eyeing. Though there's no real intensity behind it. "Just don't go blowing a lot of cash there. I hear some guys do that. Don't be one of those guys. A little is ok, ca use hell, maybe it'll get some of this chick outta there and into something better. But I don't wanna encourage it." Her attention lifts to Maya as she comes over and a little grin is offered. "Yeah. Though I had to step out a bit for some business. But there ain't no needs for the moment. So why not spend some time just relaxing?"
Leonard catches the hug and returns it with a squeeze to Maya. "Still here. I'm surprised you're back so soon. When Vix goes shopping, I might not see her again for days. Any interesting purchases?" Then his hands are held up to Vixen in submissively defensive gesture. "I'd probably find a way to spend too much. One more good reason for a chaperone, but the eyes only isn't a bad one, either, although it isn't such a problem where she's concerned. Or is, depending on how you look at it."
Maya's grin is broad, and she seems relaxed. "Oh I just went to get a few things I needed. I know what I want and bang,..." She shrugs, leaning forward to slurp her drink, her eyes darting between the pair. "Chaperone?" She questions lightly, tilting her head, as she narrows her hazel eyes at him.
"He wants to go to the strip club near here," Vixen notes, head canted to give Maya a casual roll of her eyes. One, perhaps, a bit discreet. "Since they don't let you touch, I figure he's safe enough there. Ain't like the girls give much more than a show either. The real stuff is at home." She gives Leo a sidelong glance along with a casual smirk.
"I'm about to receive another lecture, aren't I?" Maya's narrowed eyeballing is easily noted, and may be a recent trend in Leonard's direction, given the announced topic. Rather than making his return smirk sidelong, he turns to face Vixen. "I know where the real stuff is. You were wonderfully able to remind me of that, as if I could forget."
"Lecture?" Maya widens her eyes innocently, Vixen's eyeball rolling noted. "Most cultures have some level of feminine dancing but usually they are under paid and clearly forced to do so, either literally or due to circumstances..." She comments, the observation spoken in a tone that suggests that she does lecture, at times. Despite that, she grins at the interplay between the two, dipping her head to slurp more drink.
"I still think you'll need another reminder," Vixen notes to Leo, looking towards him fully. She then turns attention to Maya. "He needs some regular work when he's not playing with people with guns too. I was thinking he could work for one of those adventure places or something. I dunno.. since he's got that travel magic in him. Got any other ideas for steady money for him?"
Leonard looks back to Maya and gives a slight nod. "Unfortunately, that's likely true. Should I blame my manhood for contributing?" Now his look to Vixen is sideways. "I should try and come up with some inventive and novel reminders, myself. You do have all those trips to the burly farmboys and construction hands for 'business.' Not to mention the gentleman in the camp asking about you on my last visit. The one that apparently can't find a shirt that fits?" The tone is prodding, even exagerratedly so, but still light.
Maya gives Vixen a thoughtful look before she shrugs, sitting back in the seat, taking her drink with her. "How would I know? I go from home, to the hospital, to the camp, to here." She points out, "Everyone in a culture is responsible for their own actions." She replies to Leonard, idly dunking the ice with her straw, a flicker of her grin as they bob.
"Boys are on a strict look but don't touch basis," Vixen notes to Leo. "Though that's usually how I roll. I don't like being touched too much by most people. Though I make exceptions." She lets her eyes linger on Leo, then shift towards Maya. "Though the ones at the camp are probably asking after me wondering about starting work. They're eager to get started with getting some real shelter, but I'm being given a bit of a cold shoulder at the City Hall. Paperwork and shit." She snorts faintly. "Eventually I'm going to get this party started whether they want to deal with me or not."
"But they're eager, I'm sure. You have all the advantages. I'm sure you'll find a way to start the party. You're good at that." Leonard's attention refocuses on Maya, her words, and bobbing straw, a brief waving of his hand accompanying his smirk. "What about your boy..s? You've obviously had time for one or more, lately, in your schedule." The gesturing fingers then tap at his neck in reminder. Perhaps in retort to her prior mental conversation, his next works echo only in Maya's head. 'Are you always so playful, Maya, or just wanting men envious of a straw?' They are heard at least once, but may continue to echo.
Maya's response is slow, the ice bobbing taking some concentration, her hazel eyes flickering between the couple and the glass. Leonard's comment makes her lift them, an she shrugs, "What about them? They come, they go." A flicker of a smirk, an her gaze drops again, watching the ice. Suddenly she lifts her eyes, giving Leonard a steady look, for a long moment, and she grins. "I think I'm going to dance. I see a friend of mine over there." Leonard gets a reply, a soft comment. "Only with men that aren't taken. I don't pouch." Then, she is up and gone, straw and drink abandoned.
Vixen glances towards Leo, her brow arching subtly as Maya goes off just like that. "Not the best place to poke, I think. At least, not that way. She does like to fool around, but she didn't with you. That's one reason I like her. She knows the respect." She nudges him in teh side lightly with her elbow. "We should go and camp soon. Maybe tomorrow. You can start showing me wilderness stuff and I can train your arm while we're out there. Work you a bit so you can use grenades without blowing yourself up."
Leonard isn't terribly surprised that Maya bounces up and leaves, not at the nature of her response. He glances to the abandoned drink and then takes a sip of his own. A lifted brow turns to Vixen. "That makes her safe, then, doesn't it? She plays by the rules, but she still plays up to them. Either that or your pleasant reminders and the discussions of dancing have my thoughts thoroughly skewed." A smiling nod follows. "Not detonating myself would be wonderful, and camping with you will be even better."
"Yeah, she's safe," Vixen reaffirms, shifting a little closet to lean against Leo lightly. "Camping would be nice.. though it could be dangerous, just being out there alone." She looks to him and wonders, "You got any spells to keep the bad things away? Or is there no spell that does that sort of thing? Like.. an anti monster.. something." She shrugs her shoulders a little, obviously not well versed with magic.
"Depending on the nature of the beast, so to speak," Leonard chuckles softly, "yes. I can keep many threats away, if just temporarily. If all else fails, I can also keep us in one piece long enough to quickly return us here, also." He leans back into her. "You don't need to worry, Vix."
Vixen nods her head slightly. "That's good. I don't mind too much being out there, just I like knowing that I won't get killed when I'm sleeping," she murmurs. "That kind of things spooks me.. just not even having a chance to pull your gun or anything." She shivers faintly and quickly shifts topics. "What I'd really like to do is some more involved work with you." Her eyes lift towards him. "I just can't figure a good racket for us. OUr skills.. they're not real similar, you know?"
Leonard reaches an arm around her to give a squeeze. "We'll be fine... although you're right. I'd enjoy the chance to do something productive and profitable together, but I don't know what to suggest. Even if we can find something that works, you could always get tired of me, too, you know. A little time away isn't a bad thing."
Vixen smirks faintly at that. "Leo, you got that wrong, babe," she murmurs to him. "I like being around you.. I wanna learn more about what you can do and how we can work together. It'd be nice to have someone at my back that I know and who knows me. That I don't even have to wonder for an instant what we can do together cause I know you and you know me and all that stuff we can do." She grins a little. "I guess maybe even learn what your bird friend can do."
"I just don't want to wear out my invitation." Leonard chuckles with another squeeze before releasing her. "Speaking of which, I believe we still have one down the street. I'm more than willing to share more of my talents with you, Vix, and Edgar's. I do have your back."
"I know you do, but I still don't know everything you can do," Vixen notes. Then adds, "You can't wear out your welcome.. don't you get that, Leo? I ain't getting tired of you. Other girls might, but I'm with you now. That ain't light." Though she does let it go there. Shifting to another. "Invitation?" Takes a moment before she blinks. "Oh right, that." She considers a moment, then shrugs and lifts her glass to down it . " Alright, Leo. Lets go have a look," she allows, rising up from her seat smoothly.
Leonard rises from his seat and promptly seeks out her hand. "I do get that, babe, and I'll show you all you want to see... and maybe some you don't." Still, she gets a smile. "On that appropriate note, let's go see what sort of gawking idiot I can be. At least you'll have the pleasure of any ...pre-heating." A wink and then he moves to escort her out. Yes, he seems anxious, but, well, he is a guy.
Vixen smirks a little as she gives his hand a squeeze. "I want to see all of you, Leo. Even the bad stuff. Maybe it ain't so bad.. but even if it is, its you and I want to know it." And with that she will let him lead along. He can be eager, she won't berate him for that.
The club is lit with low lights what one would expect, especially with dancers on the catwalk. There are a cpip[le places where there are different women dancing and differeing women of various species. There is two attractive human women dancing in the pair of cages in the centerpiece of the club. Dancing around them is Flare. She uses each of the four poles at one time or another. All she is wearing at the moment is a red g-string, and what would be considered pasties. Two small red circles that hide her nipples from view. The rest of her breasts and skin is bare, with hints of glitter across the light coppery skin. She isn't a bad dancer, though her routine is almost more gymnastic in nature, which does cause a lot of bouncing.
Once he's past the intimidating doorborgs, Leonard encounters his first conundrum of the evening. While he did come for Flare's benefit (honest), there is the slight problem of far, far too many distractions. Nude woman there, another here, another writhing thing that he has no idea what she might be, other than decidedly female. "So... we need to find a seat, yes?" This is asked of his escort, even if his eyes never make it all the way to her. "Ah! There she is..." The red certainly helps, even if there's much, much less of it worn.
Vixen comes in with her hand in Leo's, glancing about once past the security. Keeping her expression schooled for the moment as she considers the varied women of different species that dance here and there. Her attention will drift to Leo often, though for now she doesn't distract him from his looking. Nodding when he talks of seating, though she lets him search. This is, after all, his time. And when the elf is spotted, Vixen will go with Leo over there. Being quiet for the moment. And watchful.
Flare continues to dance, weaving from one post to the next, and even doing some flips that put her up onto one of the stacked cages and then she is down, into splits on the floor. She raises her arms as she stands and sparks flare up on the edge of the stage, obviously stage theatrics. And she does a backflip her body bursting into flames as she lands again on the stage in the splits. "Give a hand for our resident firebrand, Flare." comes a masculine voice as the flames die around Flare and she stands, bowing and slipping from the stage towards the back. She does notice Vixen and Leo and gives them a wave even as the next girl comes out, a female dogboy in a lace outfit.
Leonard manages to find a seat with minimal attention, and seats himself near the stage solely by feel. He likely resembles any other number of gawking patrons, save for the fact that he's not yelling or waving credits around. Oh, that and he's brought a woman with him. Eyes follow the flips, turns, glitter and accompanying bouncing, only blinking when she ignites. At the announcement of the finish, he finally reacts enough to release Vixen's hand and clap. Only then does he manage to look to the clothed Vixen. "That was..." It trails off, either beyond description, or very poor pun.
Vixen lifts a hand, slid beneath the collar of her coat. Discreetly linking a bit of cord hidden beneath to the jack behind her right ear. And her eyes linger towards Leo, mostly trained on his face. A deviation or two will come when the pyrotechnics start.. mundane and psychic, her eyes narrowing subtly at the latter. Though she remains a quiet observer, her attention shifting back towards Leo. When he does look towards her, she manages to keep her expression relaxed. "INteresting," she offers, which is apt if not enthusiastic.
Flare comes out of the back wearing a leather miniskirt and a strapless bra that pushes her breasts up and just barely hides the nipples and little else. She has a bottle of water in her hand and heads towards the table with the two, "Hello," she says with a faint smile and a little breathless.
"That was definitely interesting..." Leonard's opinion is significantly more enthusiastic, and it shows in his smile as Flare reappears. "Quite a performance. I'm sorry that we were a bit late." His gaze drops to evaluate her change in attire before he asks. "So that's how you look... when you ignite?"
Vixen does give Flare a once over when she comes out, though she retains a carefully schooled expression overall, offering a light wave in greeting before looking towards Leo again. Often shifting her attention towards his face, though not lingering too long. "A pretty eyecatching display," she offers. Again, without real enthusiasm, though lacking in negativity.
Flare nods, "Yes, I surround myself with a flaming aura." she says softly. She looks at the two, "Oh it is alright," she says, "I dance here all the time, probably can catch another show, since I don't often do the private dances."
Leonard's brow lifts at this. To ask, or not to ask. "Private dances?" Curiosity wins the moment and he inquires with a mix of naive intrigue and lurid imagination of possibly answers. He's still aware of Vixen's presence, but the flat tone of her general comments don't help to draw his attention from everything else.
"Yeah, you get an up close view. But you don't touch," Vixen notes, her eyes trained on him. She does give a more firm level to her tone as she says this. "Usually the ones that touch get kicked out from what I hear." Her eyes shift a moment towards Flare, though not for too long before she eyes Leo a bit more.
Flare nods, "exactly, the dancer does not touch, the client doesn't touch, but the dancer gets as close as she can usually, without touching." she shakes her head a bit and smiles, "Kicked out is the least, the might get burned if they touch the wrong one." she shrugs a little.
Leonard rolls his eyes towards Vixen and her pointed reiteration of the 'House Rules.' His smile remains, at least. "I was merely asking for clarification. I've been here before, or anything of the sort, remember?" Then eyes roll back towards Flare and the smile widens. "That doesn't sound especially pleasant. The repurcussions for breaking the rules, that is. I can certainly understand the temptation, of course."
"One thing you should know, Leo, is not all the girls here really like this sort of work. At least, most I talk to don't really," Vixen notes. Not so firm, but noted nonetheless. "Especially not being pawed at." She looks towards Flare. "Hopefully you ain't had no grabby guys pawing at you. I don't imagine its all that pleasant."
Flare shakes her head, "THe one or two who did, were quickly disuaded and any that have seen my show, know better now." she says and shakes her head a little, "It is the reason for the cages a little too, lets them dance without people being able to get too close." she shrugs, "For some it is a way to make money that they can't normally, I don't plan on doing it forever, but it pays. Will have another set before I go home tonight."
"Pawing, I don't approve of," Leonard clarifies for both women, "nor do I think anyone should do any of this if they don't want to..." His eager smile dims notably as he looks between them. "I'm not an ass just because I happen to enjoy the display."
Vixen does soften just a little. "I'm just making sure you know, Leo. Like you said, you never been here before. And a lot of guys I'd not like to see you be like tend to hang around here.. not the best role models for a strong, good Leo, you know?" She does smile at him saying that. Honest emotion to be seen. "But I'm glad to hear you say that."
Flare nods and smiles, "Me too." she says, "So..." she says and glances around, current dancer on stage looks human but is green-skinned.
Leonard's smile rekindles, more earnest, less gawk and he nods. "I understand... and since I've not been here before, is there any sort of ... celebratory welcome ritual or drink I should be buying or something of the sort?" He looks from Vix to Flare once more, and still curious. "I realize that this is normally a 'guy thing,' but you ladies are the experienced ones."
Vixen shrugs at Leo's question. "I know about general stuff.. not the particulars of this place," she notes with a casual grin. "I don't tend to go for places like this.. not even the ones that have guys at 'em. When it comes to that sort of stuff, I like to be hands on and doing rather than just sitting and looking." Though she does divert her eyes from Leo then to see if Flare has anything to add on the topic.
Flare shrugs, "Can do what you want." she says and smiles a bit, "Oh there is a fair number of females that come in and I don't mind watching the other females," she shrugs and smiles a little.
"There's no shortage of them here, obviously." Leonard chuckles in response to Flare, then looks to Vixen with a bemused smirk, "You do get the chance to see all those muscled men at work..." Now he falls silent as he considers, eyes shifting between the two yet again. And again. "Well, my natural inclination would be to do whatever else remains to be done. .. but I don't want to be considered a pawing creep."
"Why don't we just watch her last dance, then we can call it a night for now?" Vixen's suggestion as she looks towards Leo. Her tone somewhat relaxed, but still lingering in neutral territory. "Then you can get the full experience and we can talk about some other things soon." From afar, Leonard can't wait for the Powerpoint presentation afterwards: This is Leo. This is Leo on boobs. See Leo drool. Don't be a Leo.
Flare nods, "Speaking of which, I should be heading back," she says and nods, "Enjoy the show." she says and slips into the back. A few minutes later the lights dimm even a bit more. A faint steam or smoke starts to be emitted and spread over the stage. There appears to be nothing for a moment and then the spotlight comes on and shines brightly on Flare. She is standing there in a red sequence floor length dress. It sparkles and sways as she walks up the stage and swirls around one of the poles. She waves to Leo and Vixen and then spins around another pole and reaches to her waist and spins around in a circle and the skirt of her dress comes away in her hands, making what she is wearing a knee-high skirt now. She adds a few kicks, showing off the red g-string on under her dress and twirls around on another pole.
Leonard nods at the suggestion, and retakes Vixen's hand. "Alright." He offers an honest smile to her and then it and a brief wave to the departing Flare. At the lights' dimming, then the spotlight, his attention returns to the stage... and remains there. Until Flare moves, of course, and he follows the sparkle and shimmer, his countenance displaying his rapt attention once more. There is something different to it, given the presence of the concealing dress, but it doesn't appear to detract from the observational interest. Perhaps quite the opposite, as he leans forward slightly.
Vixen quietly waits as Flare goes, taking Leo's hand, giving a soft squeeze before the show actually starts. She considers Flare casually when she first comes out, but after she's eyeing Leo. Keeping her eyes on him, mostly his expression from the side. Not the best angle, but she gets enough of it. For now, she says nothing, letting Leo enjoy the moment unmolested.
Flare twirls around again and another piece of fabric falls, this time from her upper body leaving her in the skirt and the equivalent of a halter top, leaving her belly bare. She dances and twirls a little more and then more fabric falls and she is in a mini-skirt. With each loss of clothing she gets a little more active and acrobatic. Then goes the haltertop and skirt leaving her in the pasties and g-string again. THe show ends the same as they saw the first time, with her landing in the splits after bursting into flames and then she takes a bow and slips from the stage again.
And so Leonard observes, and observes. Despite having already seen the revealing finish before, this dance is more enthralling, if his reaction is any indication. A lean or dip here, as he follows her acrobatics, the twitch or widening eyes as something new falls away. The end result is expected, but the path there is not, and even the known view could hardly be considered boring. At the finale, his free hand lifts high in something between a whoop and a wave. Only once she has slipped off does he lean to Vixen. "It seems even better the second time..." "I'll take your word for that, Leo," Vixen replies, trying to not sound too bland in her response. She didn't catch most of it, keeping her eyes set on Leo. "Though she does glance towards the stage briefly, then around in a slow scan. "I take it you've enjoyed your first time here, then?" An honest sort of question.
Flare comes out of the back a few minutes later in her normal garb. Her hair looks wet though, like she just washed it, or maybe just dumped water over it.
Leonard looses a chuckle and turns his full attention to Vixen. "I did, thank you... although I suppose that I've bored your utterly, haven't I?" A brow lifts with his query, and he actually misses Flare's return to the floor for the moment.
Vixen cocks her head slightly and notes, "Like I said, I'm a doer. Watching is ok,, just before, but places like this just don't do it for me so much." Her shoulders give a soft roll and she grins a little. "I'm not going to rush you outta here, if that's what you're wondering. Though it ain't like this place is going nowhere. It was here when I was a kid."
Flare reaches the two and smiles, "Thanks again for coming, enjoy yourself?" she asks Leo and looks at Vixen, "Thank you for coming as well."
Now Leonard swivels to the damp elf and nods rather enthusiastically with his reply. "Thank you, and I did. It might not be your first choice for a career, but you definitely do well in it." His focus returns to Vixen as he admits, "I'm in no rush, but I've no objections if you wish to leave. We did see what we came to see, as it were."
"It was.. interesting," Vixen supplies to Flare. Her tone still in the light realm. Though when she looks to Leo, her brows lift slightly. "I think I could give you a few reasons to rush if you really wanted me to. After all, you won't be finishing nothing here. One of the odd things about a place like this.. all flash and lights, but the end comes somewhere else." A casual smirk rising as she notes as much.
Flare nods, "Or at least it is supposed to, but that is a good thing for me, I don't really have to worry about my problem here, since I can't really get intimate with anyone, which is why I stay away from private dances."
Leonard's own brow lifts high at Vixen's innuendo. "You do make a wonderful argument, and I'm quite convinced. Here I thought it would be uncouth to toss you over my shoulder and run out with you." His growing grin the flickers at Flare's reminder of her status, but manages to stabilize before it swivels towards her. "That will change, Flare. One way or another, you'll work matters out for yourself." The smile flashes wider and then Vixen receives a wink. "After you?"
"Throw me over your shoulder?" Vixen rises to the jest with a sly little grin. "You could try. But I think maybe I'd be the one carting you around," she counters. She rises then, though she does look towards Flare a moment. "Good luck with that control thing. Must be pretty raw," she murmurs. Her neutral slipping to the side a moment for that. She then looks to Leo and grins a little. "C'mon.. I got something I want to show you." Her hand extended out to him.
Flare nods and heads towards the entrance herself, "Just raw when dealing with intimacy." she shakes her head and shrugs a bit.
Leonard takes the hand as he rises, adding a chuckle for good measure. "You're probably right. I need to use the gym for more than running. Lead on, dear lady. I'm always anxious for your performances..." He has more than a few presumptions on Vixen's upcoming display.
Vixen nods to Flare, then glances towards Leo. A sly expression worn. Oh, but he can assume many things.. right most of the time, sometimes so very wrong. She leads the unsuspecting young man on their way, out of the Lady and off to his surprise.
<<Back at Leo's>>
When they get back, Vixen is casual in getting her things off, discreetly slipping a hand back to disconnect the cord behind her right ear amid slipping her coat off. The camera rescued, she leaves her boots on. "I've got something I want you to see. Over here." But she isn't going back to the bedroom, she's moving into the side room, her little office. To the holographic computer that runs Vixen's View.
Leonard looses his shoes at the door as she doffs her coat and promptly moves to follow her. "I can't wait to...see?" There is somewhat less certainty as she digs rather than zags at the hallway. Something far more new than he expected? Still, he follows along, now more intrigued. Moreso than libidinous anticipation as he asks, "What did you have in mind?"
"Just stand right here.." Vixen motions to a spot nearby before deftly hooking the camera up with a patch cable from the drawer. Just takes her a few moments before the status display is hidden and a new image comes up in the floating display. This one is an obvious Vixen's eye view from the start of their entry into the nightclub. She won't say anymore after that. She'll just let it play, going throughout the time they spent there. Most of the footage of Leo in his various moments and moods from that part of the evening. Just the impartial eye, showing what it sees. Once its running, she'll linger beside him, waiting until the end of it, when the footage cuts off a few moments after their departure from the club. The audio is included as well, though her own words have an odd, disembodied quality due to she using herself and her cyber as the camera lens.
Now Leonard is observing... himself, observing. Once realization dawns, he shoots Vixen a smirk, then returns to watching. His head tilts as he does so, letting it run its course. After it winks out, he chuckles. "I /was/ rather enjoying the show. I realized that, but I didn't know I was making faces."
"I'm not going to say nothing about that trip to the strip club, Leo," Vixen says, stepping up to the computer again. She casually keys in a few taps before the last image blinks out. "It's deleted now. I just wanted you to see yourself. Cause we can't do that, unless someone helps us." She then turns towards him and her ams lift, wrapping around his neck languidly. Looking him in the eye she adds, "I want you to see yourself. Because then you can be sure that you're who you want to be. Inside and in how others might see you looking from the outside. I might want to say a lot, but sometimes I gotta let you make your own decisions. And other times help you make them."
"Thanks... I think?" His arms take her waist as they should and Leonard is honest with his gratitude, if not entirely certain. "It does help to see how others would see me. How you see me, at least."
Vixen nods her head a little. "I might do it again. But only to show you. For now, though, I got something else I wanna show you.." Her sly grin comes back and she hops him, legs wrapping his waist, arms close about his neck. "What you're expecting, now that all those pretty girls got you worked up. That way we don't have to warm up.. the first time." Casual promise in her gaze. It'll be another of those nights.
