Kingsdale - Tradewinds Coffee Shop This is a little coffee house, a single room for the public with a store room out the back. Four long, wooden tables with matching high-backed benches are in a row, intended to be shared with complete strangers. Low lamps hang over each of them, barely adding light to the smoke filled room. The scent of coffees and teas mingle in the air with the pipe smoke that floats near the ceiling, the groups of old men settled at the furthest bench puffing as they haggle to settle the wrongs of the world. A counter keeps the customers away from the ancient stove, and the kettle on its top adds steam to the mix in the air. Bags of coffee beans and loose tea run the length of the wall behind the counter and other treats, such as chocolate are on show on the shelves above them. Owned by Roy, a burly retired mercenary with a large beard and an equally large resource of patience, the coffee shop is known as a place of warm welcome and friendly discourse. Players- Objects- Exits- Erica <O> Out

Erica is sitting at a coffee table with a slightly dreamy look on her face. She has a book open in front of herself and a tall glass of iced tea. Both the book and the tea seem to be forgotten as she stares off into space for a moment. Shaking her head she wakes up a bit and looks down at her book but that smile remains on her face.

Wandering in, Sage ends up going to the counter to get herself a blended lemonade, green tea beverage for herself. As she waits for it to be prepared, her gaze runs over the place to find that there is someone she knows here. She smiles faintly in amusement, watching the other woman seemingly in some other reality for the time being. When her drink arrives, she settles the bill before wandering over towards Erica's table. "Hey..."

Erica looks up at the voice and offers Sage a warm, friendly smile. "Hey Sage. How are you doing?" She asks before picking up her iced tea and taking a sip from it. "What have you been up to?" Leaning back in her chair she picks up a bookmark and marks her place in her book and closes it.

Sage smiles softly to the other woman, "Oh, can't complain..." She comments with a tone that suggests its at least a little better than that. "And you?" She asks before moving to settle into a chair at the table figuring the invitation is likely a foregone conclusion. To the question, she gives a mild shrug. "Tending to gardens, speaking with friends, the usual..." She says with a soft chuckle.

Erica nods her head slightly as she smiles warmly at Sage. "Oh I'm doing great. I was thinking about my friend that I told you about. She is the most interesting conversationalist. I think you would really like her. You should let me introduce you." She says as she idly stirs her iced tea with her straw.

"That's good to hear." Sage replies softly with a curious expression on her features as she considers her friend. "Yes, I remember." She comments before pursing her lips, "What kind of things does she talk about?" She asks, before taking a sip from her drink as she waits for a response.

Erica smiles again but this time a little more dreamily. "Oh all sorts of things. I think she knows a lot about plants and nature. I am sure you would find her pretty interesting." She says before picking up her glass and taking another sip of her tea. "She is very knowledgeable."

Sage hms softly as she gets the response from her, "I'm starting to get the feeling that you two do more than just talk." She says with a light teasing tone, before shrugging faintly. "When did you two mean, anyway?"

Erica lips curl into a frown as she shakes her head. "No.. no it isn't like that. Jeez I've only been with two people. Why does everyone think I'm a whore." She says with a sigh as she looks down and drinks her tea. Her cheeks blush red as she keeps looking down. "A friend introduced us."

Sage frowns in turn, "I wasn't calling you a whore." She replies firmly with a little temper entering her tone. "You're just asking a little smitten." She says, trying to rein back in the temper that had begun to rise. "I see." She replies simply, foregoing her normal smile when she sees someone blush. She takes up her drink to buy herself a little time as she sips from it.

Erica looks up at Sage and her blush slowly goes away. "Well I haven't done anything with her. She is a freind and that is it. I'm sorry. Just people seem to get odd ideas." she says with a shrug of her shoulders as she plays around with the straw in her iced tea. "I just thought you might like to meet her nothing sexual."

Sage gives a mild roll of her eyes before she manages a smile smile, "Oh, I don't think I'd need help finding the latter... it would likely find me." She adds, before shaking her head gently in amusement before she considers the other woman. "I may meet this person at some point... is there anything else you'd like to tell me about this mystery woman before hand?"

Erica looks at Sage and gives her a relieved grin as she lets out a little sigh of relief. "Well she is really amazing in every way as far as I can see. She intends only the best. She already has a lot of followers and is looking for those that are worthy, and I totally thought of you. So you should come on with."

A brow raises faintly to the 'intends only the best' part as Sage mulls over this mystery person. "That sounds mildly ominous..." She comments, "Intends only the best? What does she intend to do?" She asks, "And, what does she need a lot of followers to do?"

Erica shakes her head. "Oh no like I said only the best. I mean she only has followers so she can help them out. You know teach them and show them the right way. Really it is more like a club where she helps out the members." She smiles at Sage and shrugs her shoulders. "We can take you there and you can meet her. Then you'll see."

Sage purses her lips as she considers the words offered by the other woman, before letting a frown pass over her features as she contemplates things. "A club, hm?" She asks, as her thoughts bring up a different word for it. She purses her lips and considers the other woman. "Maybe I can speak to someone else that might be interested too before I go to meet this person?"

"Uh sure. The more the merrier I say." Erica says with obvious enthusiasm. "If you want you can talk to Bart. He met her as well. But anytime you want to meet her I am happy to take you. Maybe Tirzah would like to come as well." She says with a shrug but her smile remains enthusiastic.

"Perhaps..." Sage replies, before she takes a sip from her drink. "It doesn't hurt to ask." She pauses as she considers the potentially disturbing implications under the other woman's words. "

Erica waves her hand as if waving away the other woman's fears. "Don't worry as soon as you meet her it will all become clear." She says in a light hearted manner before sipping on her drink again. "But any time you want to go see her just give me a call and I'll be happy to take you. So how is Tirzah? How is the wedding planning going?"

"Ah... she must be some person then." Sage replies with a dual meaning that will likely be lost on the other woman. She nods faintly, "Alright." She smiles faintly at the question of Tirzah. "She's doing alright... and, they've been pushed back a little but we'll get to the cermony at some point... things just keep coming up."

Erica nods her head as she leans forward a bit. "Well I can't wait until the wedding. I am sure you will make the most beautiful bride. I am sure it will be a fun event as well. Is Tirzah ok? I haven't seen her in some time." She asks now that she is sure she captured Sages attention about meeting her friend.

Sage chuckles softly, "When I actually get to wander down the aisle, we'll see about that.." She comments before shrugging faintly, "She's been a little busy with her new business venture and cleaning up afterward." She comments, "Its one of the reasons we delayed things." She comments, "She'll be fine."

Erica nods her head. "Oh yah that was the last time I met her. At the gun range. She had put up a flyer for her new buisness, but I don't think she was interested in me as a contracter or anything. I guess I'll have to find my own work since can't get anyone to hire. But my friend did say she would be able to give me lots of credits, so I'm sure that will pay out. Then I can pay you back."

Sage purses her lips as she considers the other woman, "Well, Tirzah's probably one that takes more notice of people that make the effort to be noticed. Hard to say what it takes sometimes." She comments with a faint shrug, "But, I'm sure you'll find your feet soon enough... or I'll just have to turn you into a maid. Whichever works best."

Erica laughs softly and grins at Sage. "Well I have fought with Tirzah twice before. I guess I didn't impress her. Oh well seems that is the way of things. I'll just see what I can find, or go into your service as a maid. Whichever works." She gives Sage a quick wink.

"Fought?" Sage asks with a light tone, "You look remarkably unsinged." She replies, before nodding faintly to the comment about finding a way to go. A faint smirk coming to the wink.

Erica giggles and shakes her head. "Sorry I mean fought alongside. I doubt I could survive long against Tirzah." She grins slightly at Sage's smirk and keeps giggling to heself.

"Ah, but if you managed to survive, I'm sure that would impress her... or just irritate her... probably not worth it either way." Sage replies with a chuckle before giving a faint shrug. Then draining her drink, she begins to rise from her chair. "Anyway, take care." She replies, keeping her expression light until she can dwell on the darker undertone of the earlier conversation.

Erica raises a hand to give Sage a wave goodbye. "Alright. I'll see you later Sage." She says cheerfully as the other woman leaves.
