From Chronicles
As usual, Meu is busy doing... something. Right now, it looks as if she's crudely stitching together another bearskin cloak... The hide is well-prepared... But darnit... she's not even trimming the undesirable parts of the bear off! She's just stitching the whole think to another bear skin. Go fig.
Descending into the trailer park Tirzah lands her cycle atop of Meu's trailer. Dismounting with a kick to the top of the trailer to signal her arrival should Meu be inside she casually walks to the door to give a look around. Resting her hands on her hips she grins, today would be the day.
Meu is looking surprisingly domestic. A small fire is kindled deeper in the trailer. Paintings, like those left by ancient cavement cover the inner walls. There's even something almost... disturbingly human in the way she sits with her new cloak over her leg as she painstakingly stitches. The job is awful. Amateurish at best. But one might almost see echoes of the human woman she might once have been. And for a once, there is no expansive greeting, or shouting, or any such. She simply looks up, waves, smiles, and goes back to stitching.
Tirzah returns the smile, pausing to consider her approach one she's jumped down for the roof. Stepping forward she waves as well with a nod. "That looks really good Meu." She states off, and she's being honest, as she never imagined Meu might be able to tan a hide much less make a garb from it.
Meu gestures to something behind her... A pile of various furs and skins, all tanned and awaiting... whatever waits. From rabbits, to bears, and even the odd duck-billed honker hide... as well as one or two that is difficult to identify. What she would do with it is anyone's guess, but she seems pre-occupied, anyway. "Teer-zuh visit. Teer-zuh want food?"
Tirzah grins but shakes her head to decline. "No thats alright Meu, I just ate. Actually I came because I have a surprise for you today. It's really special. Do you like surprises Meu?" She asks her tone genuinely curious but also sporting a good measure of goading.
Meu suddenly looks frantic, as if Tirzah might not tell her the surprise if she's not quick enough,"MEU LIKE SURPRISES! It Meu's birthday? Yay! Happy Birthday Meu!" Actually, she doesn't even jniw what day of the week it is right now.
Tirzah snickers, her expression growing cunning as she considers how to channel Meu's won attentions. "That's right and well have a big party with your favorite playmates later if.." She pauses, seeing if Meu is hanging on the word. "IF Meu behaves during the trip to said party. There will be presents and snacks, all your favorites." She promises, perhaps getting dangerous in telling meu so much now.
Meu smiles in that way she does when she's about to do something mildly creepy. She sets aside her bearskin cloak, and reaches for something deeper in the trailer. Without saying a word, she picks up a clay bowl of some sort, dips a finger in... and starts to paint her face. It's crude... but it looks suspiciously like she's painting a black CS Deadboy skull over her face. "Meu put on makeup now." There's only one type of person she considers a 'favorite playmate'.
Tirzah grins widely as Meu starts to prepare for her party guests. "Take your time Meu, make it look real nice. You want to look real nice for your guests. And I'll be bringing some friends to make things interesting. The more the merrier right Meu?"
Meu takes out a small knife (small for her... looks closer to a short sword for a normal person) shortly after putting on her 'makeup', a shiny piece of metal... and begins scraping the teeth in her dangerous maw. Gotta make them look white. "You help make Meu pretty for guests. Meu pick up new house decorations at party."
Tirzah takes the blade and looks quite proficient with it as she gives it a testing flourish. "Sure Meu, just tell me what to do." She accepts eagerly, stepping up. She appears quite impressed with the proactive feel to the preparations. "You know Meu, if you do really good and throw a great party, Tirzah can find more parties for you. So I want you to do and look your best. Does Meu want that? Does Meu want to look proud as well as impressive, be respected as well as feared?" She asks in a soft coo.
Meu holds out her arms now, grinning,"Cut me. Make Meu look fearsome, wild, unstoppable. Meu want all." And for once, there's nothing childish about this. There's something seething deeper, beneath the crooked smile, something that responds to Tirzah's prodding,"Meu destroy them all, one by one... And when they gone... Meu eat Bradford."
Tirzah looks at the regular blade and looks at Meu's tough hide. Then looking about she spots Meu's store of meat, the literal meat locker sans locker, and the jugs. Sliding one over she acquires a coy smile before dipping the blade into the blood. Then carefully she starts to paint Meu with the blade, tiger striping her back with the dark rich blood. "That's right Meu. You're going to show them what they created, and how wrong they were to do so. You'll take what they made you, and be so much better. They will cross your path in awe and horror." She promises with her strokes. She doesnt risk asking about this 'Bradford' but she burns it into her memory to ask elsewhere.
Meu grins happily as Tirzah goes to work on her back, while she reaches up to begin braiding her hair into dozens of small braids... which she threads through the eyesockets of several small skulls... To show her agreement to Tirzah, she informs her quite happily,"Meu has already decided to bite one's head off." She says it like she's talking about eating animal crackers.
Tirzah nods and continues her painting. Taking her time, even washing a redoing areas to get just the right look. As she does she finds herself humming a soft sweet tune as a maternal feel comes over her. A lullaby ahs she helps her darling get ready for the party.
It's one of those altogether surreal moments that might be both disturbing and oddly domestic at the same time to the outside viewer. Meu seems to become docile as the moments pass, in response to the maternal treatment. Most children, of course, don't bite people's heads off. Still, there is something of a single-minded purposefulness to her,"You teach Meu war-song?"
Tirzah finishes the measure before letting her snicker interrupt the melody. "I would, if I knew one. I don't even know the words to this tune, just the notes my mother hummed to me when I was little. All I have left of her now as I was taken away. I was taken away by good people though, and they taught me well. And later I met Meu I saw she was a girl taken away like myself but by bad people. And I rescued Meu, so she could be with good people again and learn good things." She explains bringing the tale full circle.
Meu demands, as any child might,"More story! With explosions, and flying time-traveling hero!" Then she adds the word she learned from that longshoreman once,"An' put synergy innit!" She's still got no clue as to what synergy is... but she's pretty sure it's a wonderful thing, the way the union-guy talked about it. "Synergy rescues?"
Tirzah smirks but feels free to indulge her gentle giant. Moving around from the completed back she kneels besides Meu's leg to continue the painting. "Synergy is what you and I have Meu. its understanding each other. And with the power of synergy Tirzah was able to help Meu be a good person despite all the bad things bad people had done to her. Tirzah helped Meu hunt bad people, and save more good people. Meu became a heroine that would be remembered throughout time because she was so great, she surpassed all expectations, even her own." Tirzah concludes, her wit and charm making for a pretty good story as she finishes the leg. Even based on actual events.
Meu is certainly pleased with the story. Even if she adds her own bit,"Also, sometimes, Meu fly." If only when Tirzah is doing it. "Meu good at hunting. Track anything anywhere." Meanwhile, she reaches for her waterskin, offering it to Tirzah,"Tirzah thirsty?" Yes indeed, she seems quite pleased. "Coalition see how wrong."
Tirzah nods accepting the water skin after a moment's reluctance. "I'll drink to that." She proudly admits before taking a break from the painting to take some long swallows. Then finishing she hands the waterskin back to Meu before moving on to pain the next leg. "So for the party Meu, its going to be a surprise for your playmates as well. I have a fun game planned to get them into it. You want to hear about that?" She asks smiling contently.
Meu claps her hands happily, even as she uses a spare jug to splash her club with blood rather liberally. Afterwards, Meu drains her waterskin, then sets it aside,"What party without game?"
Tirzah nods encouragingly. "My thoughts exactly. So when we get to the place for the party we'll be in place to surprise your playmates. I'll fly up ahead so we can all get ready for their arrival. And when I say, you'll start chasing one of my friends towards them as if you were hunting her. But when they come to her rescue, we'll all help you hunt them and play more fun games." Tirzah explains patiently to Meu as she paints the other leg with the red tiger stripes.
Meu wrinkles her nose, looking a tad confused. "What I do if I catch her? Not wanna fill up on snacks. Wanna have room for Coalition." She is decidedly concerned with the idea of being too full to eat at her 'party'. pose chuckles lightly shaking her head slightly. "No that wouldn't do at all. Hopefully she can keep away from you until they arrive. But if she cant maybe Meu can show some restrain and play with her until then. Not hurting her, just teasing and taunting. She is a friend after all. Has Meu played with prey like that before?" She asks, fairly certain of the answer as all predators do such practice.
Tirzah chuckles lightly shaking her head slightly.
Meu DOES do that, in fact. Just... the problem might be in HOW she plays. "Um... Meu roar and bite only tiny pieces off then?" That seems pretty taunting to her! Still, the poor thing seems somewhat confused still. If slightly less than before.
Tirzah grins widely having a solution. "Meu should roar at her. Meu should roar so loud she falls over. I challenge you Meu, I be you cant vanquish her with roars alone. If you can though I'll get you a real special surprise present ok?" She goads, quite ecstatic to give Meu a real challenge.
Meu practically coos at that,"Meu will roar so hard, she will make Coalition turn around and run. Meu is very scary. Best way to hunt bears. They run, then you hit them from behind." She says this as if she were sharing some amazing secret.
Tirzah cackles, enjoying that thought. "I bet they will. but we wont let them escape. It's your party and they'll die if you want them to." She offers apparently holding no love for the coalition or their foot soldiers.
