Kingsdale - Plaza Park

The Kingsdale Plaza Park stretches out to the west approximately sixteen-hundred feet until it meets with a residential area. The ground is covered with sporadic grass and wild flowers. Deep craters from some long-ago weapons fire cover this area of the park making the ground uneven and in some places difficult to walk. Nonetheless, this area has seen extensive use by the people of Kingsdale. Bike trails criss-cross the area and one of the craters has been filled with water where duck and other water birds come. These waterfoul seem to have quite a good living too, with people almost always present to feed them.
Here and there are stands of conifer trees that people often sit beneath to read and otherwise forget the trials and tribulations of city life. The exception to this is during the night though, and nobody comes to the park after dark unless they are either foolhardy in the extreme or looking for trouble.
The wind blows through the area unhampered and on good days it carries with it the laughter of children feeding ducks and the sweet scent of pine and wild flowers.
Benches and places to sit are also scattered through the park area, and to the south is a Pavillion of five statues -- all previous dictators and people of note to Kingsdale's past.

With the warmer temperatures, the park has developed nicely with all the rain that it has been received. Small spring flowers have pushed up from their hiding spots to show off their colourful flowers. Amongst these flowers, the light auburn haired woman has decided to enjoy the outdoors as she drinks in the park. The first time she's seen it green and without the white wintery cover. A pleased smile is on her lips as Sage almost seems to dance about as she turns about and wanders through the nature all around her.

No sound announces Tirzah's arrival. The electric engine of her cycle nearly silent. But she's visible enough, her vibrant red hair unimpeded by a helmet. She lands beside one of the larger oak trees. Consciensous enough to park the cycle where the grasses a sparse due the the tree's foreboding shade and frequent traffic of those who would sit in its splendor. She holds a small sack as she disembarks and approaches the healthy tree with curious intent.

Quietly, Isabeau makes her way into the park, pausing not too far within. Fingering the material of the lighter cloak that she wears, her brow furrows slightly. She is, perhaps, preoccupied by some thought or other, and she lifts her free hand to tug a little at a curl of her hair before brushing it aside, tucking it behind one of her ears. Tarrying a moment, Isabeau's wandering takes her further into the park, weaving a path which seems as though it will bring her close to the pond there. A path of habit, likely.

With the fresh air, developing natural beauty and simply being outside has Sage's mood is quite good as she makes her way through the park like a force of nature in her own right. Eventually, she finds her way over near the pond. A smile touches her lips as she notices a familiar figure. She makes her way over towards the woman, "Isabeau..." She calls over softly, "I was going to come see you..."

Tirzah circles the tree once, her arm out stretched to let her fingers trace its trunk and bark. She examines it carefully, noting the depth of its roots, their span and thickness. She notes the texture of the bark and any wounds. She also looks up to its enshrouding leaves considering the health of the tree over all it seems.

Wandering her way along, Isabeau's attention wanders but still seems somewhat preoccupied and distracted. Yet the soft calling of her name by Sage causes her attention to turn in that direction, a questioning expression rising to her features. "Mmm? Oh, hey, Sage," she says softly, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "I, umm... figured that a little bit of fresh air would be a good idea, since it's not raining," Isabeau adds, blushing a little.

Her smile lingering on her lips, Sage walks up to Isabeau as her gaze drifts over the woman's features as if to ensure the woman looks healthier than last time they had met. "You figured well." She says softly, before pausing. "I have something for you." She says softly, as her hand moves into her cloak to grab a pouch from her belt. "For the mornings." She mentions, "And, I can mix somethings up for the later stages too..." She considers the woman as she speaks of her offer.

Finding the tree to be in overall good health for growing in the park Tirzah smiles to herself. She's impressed by the tenacity of the strong oak. Though some of the roots at the surface have been worn down by pedestrians, and its trunk holds a few scars of lover's vows and such it is doing quite well. The that in mind she takes a moment to position herself before floating up into its branches. She surveys them carefully disturbing none but what she needs. 17 feet up she finds the one. An aged twig with bark nearly thicker than its wood. Managing to support only a handful of leaves the branch is clearly redundant, perhaps even a burden to the others. So with a proud nod she carefully prunes the twig and places it in her bag as she descends back to the ground.

A smile tugs at the corners of her lips, and then she gives a small nod, her eyes showing a shine to them. "Sometimes I manage to," she comments, sounding a little amused. As the pouch is offered, she looks puzzled for a brief moment, and then looks surprised. "Oh! Thank you, Sage. That's wonderful," Isabeau says, gratitude sounding in her voice. Reaching out, she accepts the pouch, then gives a small nod. "That's very generous of you... and very thoughtful, too," she says softly, blushing a little. "I appreciate your help, a lot," she adds.

A seemingly unnatural movement is noticed from the corner of her eye, causing Sage to glance over towards the oak tree. Following the apparent direction of the movement, her gaze comes to rest on the other redhead woman. "Tirzah...?" She says before looking back to Isabeau as the woman begins to respond to her offer. A warmth shows in the smile that renews itself on her lips, giving a faint nod to the woman. "You're quite welcome." She says with sincerity, "I thought it after Etienne suggested that I drop by on occasion..." She chuckles softly, "I don't promise everything I mix up for you will taste good, though..." She adds with a musing quality.

Tirzah looks towards the pond as she hears her name mentioned. Smiling with a wave she acknowledges Sage and Isabeau, pausing to grab the hovercycle key before walking towards them. En route she glances about, noting a pine tree and a few flowers to collect as well. She slings her bag over her shoulder as she makes her way to them around the pond's waters. "Hello Sage, Isabeau." She greets with a friendly grin in the nice weather. She holds out her hand to Isabeau. "I don't think we ever met right. I'm Tirzah. Sage tells me you and her are starting a farm." She introduces politely.

Thoughtfully, she tucks the pouch into the pocket of her cloak, where it will be safe. "Ah, he must have suggested that after I fainted, I expect," she says softly, blushing a little at recalling that. "Well, most things seem to be helped with adding some honey to it, so... I don't mind so much if things you make up don't taste great. If they help, then it's worth it," she muses, quirking a smile. "I think Etienne was getting worried, before... I didn't realise how... well... not normal, I guess... that I'd been acting," she muses, frowning briefly before smiling at Sage. Her attention turns to Tirzah, and she reaches out a hand to accept the other woman's, inclining her head as she does. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Tirzah. It's in the works for Sage and I to have one, and hopefully we'll be able to get things in the ground soon," she says softly, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

With her attention drifting briefly to Tirzah a couple times, Sage directs most of her attention towards Isabeau and the conversation they have. "It was cute..." Sage says teasingly, before she gives a nod. "More than likely..." She adds to confirm the woman's assessment of the situation. "Well..." She begins to say before she trails off as Tirzah comes up to greet them. "I'm hoping to get the planting done before the end of the month." She interjects, "But, we'll see..." She pauses as she considers Tirzah more fully, "Did you lose something to the tree?" She asks, with a raised brow having not taken in the full activity of the woman.

Tirzah shakes her head as a smirk forms. "Nope, but it lost something to me. But I don't think it will be missed." She says, unslinging her bag to give Sage a glimpse of the branch. "A good strong tree like that should make a fine robust tea, good for strength and supporting other herbs." She explains, aware that Sage probably knows that but not so much Isabeau. "And if you want to get things growing by the end of the month, you'd best quit stalling and get it tilled, my help or not." She chides playfully at the situation.

Isabeau tilts her head faintly to one side as her attention lingers on Tirzah, and she listens to the explanation. Interesting. "Is it the leaves from the tree that you'll use, or the bark?" she asks softly, her tone holding curiosity within it. A glance is cast to Sage, and then she brings her attention again to Tirzah. "Well, some of the land has been tilled, just not all of it," she says softly, her tone thoughtful. "If the weather holds, we should be able to get quite a bit done there, though," she adds, a smile curling at the corners of her lips. From the way she talks, it would seem that she's more than willing to pull her own weight on the farm.

"Ah..." Sage replies, "I suppose I could do a similar trick these days to get branches like that." She comments, "I can get most of my needs from the garden..." She pauses as she considers Tirzah, "Speaking of which..." She trails off as Isabeau asks about the usages of the branch. "It depends on the tree." She mentions, deciding to leave the full explanation to the woman that brought the subject up. Her gaze travels between the two women. She gives a small amused smile to the chiding. "And would you like something in return for that help?" She asks Tirzah, before glancing to Isabeau. "I have some commitments to attend to coming up, but hopefully you wont be alone in the planting." She lets a mild look of mischief pass over her features, though.

Tirzah shrugs lightly. "I think I'll use some of the bark in a barley stock. The leaves are good for teas, the bark can be ground and boiled for best release but tends to leave a gritty texture. So its best in things strained." She explains casually. "And its good that you've got things well in hand, a good garden with resourceful keepers would be a definite benefit to the city I think."

The slender redheaded woman raises an eyebrow slightly to the explanation offered, and then she gives a small nod. "It sounds as though it has a great many uses," she says softly, her tone thoughtful in nature. "That's part of the reason for starting the garden... we'd like to be a benefit to the city rather than just a small part of it. I'm hoping to have some herbs in the garden as well. I don't think you'll have to worry about me doing it alone... I don't think Etienne will let that happen," she says softly. She seems to remember something then, quirking a smile and looking between the pair of them. "Oh, I should go... I promised Etienne that I'd meet him for food," she says softly, a bright note in her voice. "Feel free to stop by later, Sage. Take care, and farewell, both of you," she adds, inclining her head to them.

"Perhaps when we have the time, we can visit the site, Tirzah." Sage offers, before she looks to Isabeau. She gives a nod, "There are a great many things that are overlooked but have useful properties." She mentions, before falling quiet briefly. "Yes, wouldn't want you to be late for that." She says softly, "Take care of yourself, Isabeau."

Tirzah smiles to Isabeau in fare well. "Take care." She suggests warmly. Then turning back to Sage she starts walking towards the pine tree she noticed. half pleased to see its a touch worse for wear than the oak. Eyeing some sap spouting from a branch that probably got carelessly broken by a child she pulls out a jar for collection. "She was quite nice actually. I was a little worried that my first impression with her would have clung. I'm glad it didn't. I was more impetuous then."

Once Isabeau has departed, Sage turns her attention to the remaining redhead. When the other woman moves off to a pine tree, she follow along casually. "She mentioned that you were... interesting." She says, with a touch of amusement, before shrugging gently. "She tends to be fairly nice, though." She takes note of the woman's method of collection but doesn't mention anything.

Tirzah sticks her finger into a good gob of sap to collect it from the tree. Doing her best to scrape the sticky yellow liquid off her finger into the jar. This takes a few minutes before she's satisfied with the amount of residue on her finger and seals the jar back up. "Well that's good to know. Maybe I'll look for her around more now.." The she pauses, her smile dipping slightly. "Mostly tilled?" She asks accusingly, but with an expression that doesn't hold too much weight on her friend.

Faint amusement touches her features as Sage watches the other woman try to scrap the sticky sap off her finger and into the jar. She nods faintly to the comment about seeking out Isabeau more, before she purses her lips and gives a faint frown. "Oh... guess she and Etienne decided to take care of it..." She gives a slight shrug and chuckles, "Sorry." She adds quietly.

Tirzah shrugs in forgiveness. "Its alright. I'm sure I have enough ways to be helpful. I don't have to insist on that one." Walking on to the wildflowers casually she kneels down to examine a few. "So, any news?" She asks idly. "Jelani refered me to a Mr. Renos, an arcane craftsman of sorts, commisioned him to imbue my armor."

"Good... because I don't think I want to try buying more land just for that." Sage says lightly, before moves to stay within easy conversation distance. "Looks like I may be going to Laramy soon." She mentions, "If you want to try that spying thing while I'm away, I can try to point the guy out." She figures that's what the other means by news. "Unless I'm guessing wrong about what you mean by news.." She says, before nodding to the other woman. "I'm aware of him... not exactly a people person."

Tirzah nods, eyeing a wild poppy among the flowers. "I was just being general." She says with a light smile. "What's up in Laramy?" She enquires with an equally light lilt as she decides to collect the flower. "And what exactly should I be spying for? Its good he's not around people lots, less likely to be around sensitive's then." She notes as she carefully bags the flower.

"Ah..." Sage replies, "There are other things, but some are not mine to share." She pauses, "But... I believe you're allowed back into the garden now on a probationary terms. So... no floating people about or stuff like that." She considers the question, "I'll have to think about that. Not sure what might be best to keep an eye out for yet." She shrugs faintly, "Perhaps we can talk more on it later." She says before adding,"As for Laramy... aside from the Coalition and a food shortage... Cali needs to go back to properly fix up a generator."

Tirzah nods smirking a bit mirthfully at the thought of the Coalition's interests in Laramy. "Have fun then, best I not venture out there outside of work. Dicey times. And thank you for the garden, I wont float anyone so long as I dont get bitten." She promises with a smirk. "Beyond that, all bets are off."

Sage nods to the woman, "Perhaps not even for work." She offers with a shrug. "And, it wont be up to me if you should decide to be too showy again." She gives a small amused shake of her head, "I should probably get going... want anything before I go?" She asks, with a raised brow. Apparently done collecting Tirzah looks back towards her hovercycle, and then back to Sage. "Just this." She says as she hugs Sage gently. "That feels better." She notes with a smile before walking oof to leave Sage to her surprise or mirth or what have you.
