Looking for Trouble.. Found it! Clean log

Zyvis is lounging on the street, waiting for Bailey to return from her place of residence or the like with her armor so that the hunt can commence in full. He has his helmet hooked onto his belt for the time being, no weapons in hand. In fact he lounges against a wall with his arms folded across his chest just patiently waiting for her so that they can commence to head south towards (and possibly into) the junkyard, since Zyvis has received (Probably bad) intel to check around and inside the place.

Bailey arrives from the sleazy and cheap motel that she's staying at while she looks for long term housing, changed into her armour as they plan on heading into the bad part of town in search of a creature known for ripping juicers limb from limb in a matter of seconds. Dressed in a piecemail coalition dead boy suit, Bailey rounds the corner to where Zyvis is resting, she's twirling a neural mace by the wrist loop much like she did when she'd walk the beat on patrol. "Zyvis," she says, as she approaches, in case he couldn't tell it was her in the spikey helmet. "Are you ready?"

Zyvis raises an 'eyebrow' at the armor she has arrived in and he unhooks his helmet from his belt and then locks it into place, upon his head of course to seal up his armor just in case. It's not like where they're headed is the nicest place in town, best not leave headshots available for instagibs. "Lets go see if we can find this beasty." His tone is light and he is probably smiling, even if it can't be seen at the moment. He pushes off from the wall and then turns to start heading deeper into the Dregs with the other stalker.

Bailey falls in beside Zyvis, "I'm on channel 23," she says, reaching up to her helmet to make an adjustment to the radio device that's built into it. "Test Test," she says quietly into it. "Can you read me?"

Zyvis switches over to the same channel with his armors built in radio and then nods to her when he is receiving her properly (Which I assume is a given). "Not sure if there will be any listeners but, we'll find out." He com's over to her, even while he is looking around, staying aware of his surroundings as he hopes to pick something up with his senses.

"More for if we get split up, the junk yard's probably not in any recognizable state of order," Bailey says, walking down the road, ignoring any looks her coalition issue armour might gain from some of the pedestrians. She looks up at the dark sky, "The gangs are probably out already," she observes. "We might beable to pump them for information."

"It's entirely possible that could happen. I'd prefer to avoid them if we can." Zyvis messages to Bailey, "We should probably think about trying to be sneaky soon before we get caught out in the open where we can be surrounded." He takes a look over the area, trying to spot the best way to make his way towards the junkyard while being unnoticed and not pinned down on the street.

Thankful for her air filter, Bailey keeps an eye out as she spies the walls marred with various forms of human waste. She shakes her head, "Do you sense anything?" she asks, spreading away from Zyvis a little bit to increase the chances of them noticing any trails. She nods her head to her partner's idea and tries to keep out of the streetlights when she can, hugging the walls as she moves.

Zyvis starts to make his way further into the Dregs, a lot more quietly than Bailey is being but he doesn't comment on it. He keeps his visor down until he senses something... only then will he flip it up and activate his See the Invisible... or unless they get attacked and they still can't see anything of course. As it is he maintains the quiet, heading towards the Junkyard at a stealthy pace and looking for a way over the junkyard wall that isn't waltzing through the front gate and announcing their presence... anymore than the neural mace on the garbage cans is doing.

As Bailey sneaks along, she passes by an alleyway, giving a start as a little kid leaps out at her, causing her to jump back defensively, her mace raised up and her free hand going for her pistol. She knocks into a trash bit causing a stir and when the kid realizes it isn't his older brother come home, he darts off into the dark lane. "For the love of.." Bailey mutters to herself. "Don't they teach kids to stay in after dark around here?" she wonders, continuing on down the road, looking for a lane that would give entrance to the junk yard.

Well its assumed the the kid is so innocent. This deep in the dregs though nothing should be taken for granted. Luckily his squeeling to some patchwork armored gentle men carries well in the still night. The kid points out the stalking pair, and the report is confirmed. Smirking they heft their rifles and start approaching from the main entrance where they were idling.

Zyvis glances over at Bailey after the encounter with the child and he shakes his head a bit. When the squeeling is heard, well... that can't be good. He doesn't slow or stop however but since Bailey is out in the open he decides it's pointless to keep hiding, for now. Even odds might make things go a little more smoothly than 2 on one perhaps. He steps out of the shadows, radio'ing (and not saying over the speaker of his helmet) to the woman, "Stay cool, lets see if we can get by them without having to kill them. Ruckus is just likely going to bring more than the two." He doesn't stop however until the guys stop, letting them choose the distance seperating them.

Bailey sighs and shakes her head as she hears the echos of the street rat snitching on her. "That little begger," she curses, quitely. "well, it looks like we're going to have that parlay one way or the other," she observes, forming up with Zyvis as they continue to close in.

"OY! What you stiffs think you're up to? Think you can just waltz through here without paying your respects? Just step up and hand over 500 credits each if you want to continue. No need to get uncivilized." The ganger on the left calls as they approach the pair. Both gangers have their guns at the ready if things get difficult.

"We're on a hunting trip." Zyvis offers over the audible speaker of his armor, "Hunting the thing that hunts your people as well as ours. Maybe it's not in your area and we don't need to go further. If it is, we can perhaps come to a mutually beneficial arrangement." He doesn't however reach for any of his weapons instead trying to work this through without violence, or without being out a thousand credits either.

Bailey keeps an eye out for more gangers as Zyvis speaks, hoping to keep the pair of stalkers from getting shaken down more than is necessary. She keeps the mace in hand, though, clutching it by the handle with her right hand and the haft with her left as she patiently scans the area.

"If anything has been hunting us its already been taken care of. We handle ourselves after all. Now hand over 600 credits each to go about your business in whichever dirrection you please. Forgot the 100 credit avoiding the toll fee. You know how it is." The second ganger speaks up, sounding much like the first. They are brothers perhaps.

"Bullshit." Zyvis says simply and bluntly, "If you guys had taken it down, you'd have trumpetted it to the world. You killed the -invisible- monster that killed a juicer. That'd be bragging rights for weeks. You haven't killed -shit-. So how about this, we charge -you- 600 credits each, you get the fuck out of our way, and I don't mist you where you stand." He is -not- being nice now, in fact he is looming as much as he can as he starts towards the pair. "Or you can clear off now with your hides and skin intact.""

Bailey's about to begin asking leading questions as she probes the ganger's mind when Zyvis begins making himself a target. She takes a step or two away from the fellow and focuses upon him, trusting that the reminder and description of the creature will bring an answer one way or the other.

The second Zyvis got aggressive in his dealings the first ganger brought his gun up to fire two quick shots to show the unruly pest they do not take well to such arrogant tactics. Heck, anyone around here would tell you they don't take well to almost all tactics..

As soon as the gun comes up Zyvis is moving, "Bad choice." He says, easily avoiding the shot from the first ganger with a leap to the side. As he starts to close the distance to the one who just fired on him, drawing both his vibro-swords from his back and flipping them to 'active' with that deadly humming sound as they come alive.

Bailey shakes her head as the two raise their blasters to fire on the pair of stalkers. "Oh come on," she groans, quickly rushing forwards, her free hand slipping down to her belt for her second neural mace as she winds up and swings her primary at the ganger who was slowest to react, hoping she can tag him and knock him out before he guns them down in the middle of the street.

The second ganger doesnt even have to evade Bailey's charge as her footing is off and she swings way wide. As such he is free to drop back at a steady jog to keep the distance as he fires a shot at Zyvis.

The first ganger also starts falling back towards the entrance to the junkyard, shooting at Zyvis as well as they keep the distance.

This time Zyvis doesn't bother to get out of the way of the two shots, instead he charges right through the shots, both of the lasers burning into his armor and leaving deep furrows. He keeps pace with the ganger as he retreats backwards and brings both his swords around in two quick slashes, trying to skewer the ganger with a vengeance now... which without a change of luck won't amount to much.

With her hopeless miss behind her, Bailey watches as the ganger falls back, his rifle lighting up the night like a led zepplin concert. She chases him down, running in a sprint with a shoulder down, looking to tackle the ganger so she can keep him from using his rifle and beat on him with her mace. Charge!

The second ganger tries to evade Bailey's tackle but fails completely and is taking down with a grunt. Many choice curses follow that.

Bailey knocks the second ganger to the ground and stands over him, raising her mace up high before bringing it down to crack against his skull. "Just like back in the burbs," she comments as the electrical discharge goes off with a crackle.

His partner down the first ganger takes two more shots at Zyvis as he continues to fall back. He doesnt look to concerned about the fall of his comrad.

As his armor takes another laser shot, which is not good, it's horridly mangled now and providing only the most limited of protection Zyvis can't really turn his attention to other things, only narrowly avoiding the second laser with another jump to the side he brings his swords around in another double slash at the ganger in the latter half of this few seconds, trying to finish the ganger so that both are down and they can relocate without taking fire.

Bailey continues to stand over her opponent, raining down blows with her two maces in order to finish him off for the night when a wash of dread comes over her. "Zyvis!" she calls over her helmet's radio. "He's luring us into an ambush, we should fall back!" But for the moment, she's going to make sure that at least this one won't be shooting her in the back as they retreat back down the road. Bonk! Bonk!

The second ganger drools as his curses shift to gibberish at the second blow of the mace. All further blows are pretty redundant as he loses consciousness.

As soon as the first ganger reached the entrance to the junkyard two more stepped out from behind either side, rifles ready. Both wear more durable enclosed armor, looking to have seen a few rapairjobs in their day. The second of the new party fires tow shots at Bailey. Or would have, if his poorly maintained rifle hadn't fallen appart with a spray of sparks.

Seeing that the second ganger's eyes are now comfortably rolled back into a catatonic state, Bailey slips the handles of her neural maces back into the handy loops on her belt so that she can pick up the ganger's rifle and provide Zyvis with some fire support once she runs over to cover. "Fall back!" she says hurridly to her partner as she runs towards a stripped down car to duck behind.

Backup at hand the first ganger smiles, taking one more shot at Zyvis before retreating behind the cover of the junkyard's walls.

Springing out of the way of the laser shot from the ganger before he retreats behind the wall Zyvis frowns, but it can't be seen behind his helmet. He does seem less than amused however even as he falls back away from the junkyard towards Bailey's position, "Fucking punks." He says audibly, quite pissed off indeed.

The aggressors taking cover the two additional gangers pause a moment to consider their next move. After a brief conversation one stays put to lend cover as the other ventures to recover the unconscious ganger.

Bailey sights down her newly aquired laser at her counterpart at the junkyard's entrance, making sure Zyvis gets safely to cover. "Are you hurt?" she asks, having seen his armour take a few blasts, wondering if any of the beams managed to cut through into the flesh below the plating. "I don't think the creature is in there. I didn't pick up any thoughts about it when you asked the questions."

Zyvis turns off his swords and slips them back into their sheaths, looking down at himself as he draws his pistol, "My armor is ruined." He says simply, even though he's probably got some minor burns underneath from where the armor was seared his adrenaline is still amped up to hell. He looks over his shoulder at the gangers approaching the downed one, "Need to get something out of this enough to get new armor or I am ruined." He says with a growl, "I'd take off if I were you. As you said, no reason for you to stay."

The unconscious ganger is slowly dragged back to the junkyard. There was a momentary pause as the retriever noticed the missing rifle, but first things first.

Bailey puts her hand on Zyvis' shoulder, "Going in there is suicide now. They're probably calling for more backup, we'll be able to come up with a plan for later, but right now the area's too hot!" There's concern on her voice for her fellow stalker, working in pairs makes for easier meals, after all.

"Fine." Zyvis says with a shrug but he is definatly not happy, and he doesn't put his pistol away, not right now. "Not sure what the hell else I am supposed to do. My armor is toast... Can't afford to get more. Suppose I can kill that bitch for lying to me." That seems to give him good thoughts, "Yeah, I think I'll do that." He looks back over his shoulder one more time and then starts to head away but keeping low and out of sight.

Bailey covers Zyvis' retreat for a few beats untill he's around a corner, then she runs off in a low crouch as well, trying to keep out of line of sight as much as possible. As she runs, she keeps glancing over her shoulder to see if there's any persuit coming.
