KINGSDALE CITY MUSEUM
The sun rose only a little while ago, but the museum is already busy with a combination of tourists and scholars. Some of them really look like they know what they're doing, and some don't. The docents are doing a decent job at herding people in the right direction. This month one of the upper levels is hosting a special gallery devoted to, "Know When to Quit: The Brett Favre Story." Pavel, however, with his large form is down in the bowels of the huge open air museum, looking up at the giant robot thing.
Max enters from the busy streets outside, cold blue eyes taking in the area. He feels... funny.. He feels... cold. He hasn't felt cold since before his mother died. And he doesn't like it. But he see's Pavel, or rather, the back of Pavel's head and he makes his way to him through the small crowd. Arms cross and he hugs himself, rubbing slightly. "Hey big man, How goes?"
Even though it's a large museum, Pavel does recognize that he often receives the address of 'big man' and it's not always only coming from his girlfriend, either. So he turns to look and spots Max, at which point he gives the man a wave as if he's trying to catch a ball just before the grand slam goes over the wall. "Ees good. Taheekeeng taheem nov, need fohr rhehst.. mohr veeks, Pavel szeenk. Hov ees Mahx? Joo look... oohncohmfohrtahble?"
Max blinks, as usual only catching about forty percent of what the man says. In this case it's the uncomfortable bit. "I'm ... it's cold in here.." He tells Pavel, not knowing his powers aren't functioning.. the powers that have kept him warm since they manifested. "Why are you in the library?" He asks, fully aware the man just answered that.. but the language barrier requires a second flyby.
The smith looks at Max with a strange face. "Pavel noht een laheebryehry. Ohnly look myooseeohm. Beeg... rohboht? Laheebryehry ees fahrszehr een." Pavel points a big, sausage-like finger deeper into the museum, where it ceases to become museum and becomes the famed library. "Do noht go to laheebryehry mooch, becahse ohnly reed Cyrillic. Ahmehreecahn lyehtehrs... hav noh oondehrstahnd for Pavel. Reed ees vohrse szahn tahlk," he offers, chuckling at his own shortcomings.
