The current game time is: Fri Mar 17 07:46:00 107 PA.
Rasputin's Deli is a lively place, normally a short man is behind the counter serving up orders of beef, brisket, chicken, pork, sausage, fish and just about every other type of meat product you can imagine. Rasputin's is a well known secret to low, medium and high class people of all type. Rasputin has all sorts of customer's coming and going at all times of day or night. He isn't open 24-hrs, but he might as well be.
As you walk into the Deli, next to the door is a small lunch counter which faces out into the street. Opposite to the deli counter are four small booths. Both of these locations serve as eating space for those that choose to grab a quick bite of food or one of Yakov's and Rasputin's famous five meat monster deli sandwiches. Most people don't use these booths, but the lunch counter is constantly being used, as it provides a great people watching vantage.
It is early in the morning and of course Rasputin is up already making breakfast for some of the field workers going from the Dregs to the farmlands on the outskirts of the city. He is making this and that, mostly small things or small hand pies for works to take with them. He is doing a brisk buisness and the deli is fairly full.
Galvin walks into deli with his handheld computer in one hand and a smile on his face. "Good news Rasputin. I have all the numbers back. I can tell you what everything is going to cost and we can get started on the work right away if you want." He says after walking up to the counter. "I think I have all the tools to do the work already."
Rasputin looks up from his work and smiles, "Dobroe utro Galvin. Some breakfast? Da?" He smiles as he slides another plate over to a waitress who quickly delivers it. He turns around, plates up another breakfast and then looks back you, "List?"
Galvin takes a seat down at the counter and flashes Rasputin a quick smile. "Sure I could eat." He passes Rasputin a piece of paper with the price list and break down for all the items needed for the security system. "Now it will cost 3230 for all the parts needed to hook everything up. So the that will cost an extra 3230. The total there is down at the bottom."
Rasputin flips together another stack of pancakes and some bacon, then puts it on the counter for another waitress. He quickly turns to you, grabs the slip as and puts it up as if it was an order. He makes up another few plates, "Anythink you want in particular dis mornink?" He says as he quickly makes what looks like a breakfast sandwich with sourdough bread, egg, bacon and a light sauce of some kind. He serves it up as well, "Dis is net bad. " He says looking at the list.
Galvin adjusts his glasses highee up on his nose as he watches Rasputin cook. "Hmmm something spicy. Can you make like fried rice or maybe something similar. I would like something like that perhaps?" He says while watching the ease with which the dwarf cooks. "Yah I didn't think those numbers were too bad. I think it will work out pretty well. You should be happy with it."
Rasputin looks at the list a few more times, then pulls out some already made white rice, then makes a quick egg or two in a pan. Tosses in some rice, and seasoning. As he does this he says, "Dhat would be your fee for dis works?" He looks over his shoulder, "I net havink exactly this muches, but I might be able to be gettink it soonish. Or perhaps tradink you for some of it?"
Galvin shrugs his shoulders slightly as he watches the fried rice being prepared. "Oh well I'm not sure. I guess I could charge you ten percent of that price. That seems fair. Or if you have something interesting to trade that would work as well. I will need at least twenty two thousand in credits cause I only have about 15 thousand in cash myself. So whatever you think is fair."
Rasputin finishes the fired rice and then serves it up, "Bacon as well?" He grins a bit, and gives you a large plate of fired rice only, with a set of chop sticks. "Ten percent soundinks good, dough you might want to be chargink fifteen, to your labors is worth monies, da?" He chuckles, "I could be givink you, 28K and uh," He thinks a moment, "Andink a NTI rifle? I am havink an extra NTI-01A, da? I am thinkink it is callink Carnivore Pulse Rifle?"
Galvin presses his lips together for a moment before shrugging his shoulders. "Yah bacon works." He adjusts the chopsticks in his hands and starts digging into the rice. "Well I figure I can just have a few free meals and that will make us even. Sides 10% between friends sounds good to me. The rifle will work. I'll sell it and should cover the rest."
Rasputin nods slowly, "Da, da. I can be makink payment now, if das goodink? You can be pickink up the rifle, uh, after breakfast?" He chuckles and puts a few pieces of freshly cooked bacon on a plate and puts in next to you, "Cafe?"
Galvin looks up from his plate of rice. "Uh do you have iced tea or diet soda? I'm not much of a coffee drinker really." He mentions before eating another bite of the fried rice. "Ok well then I'll get started on the work right away? Or want me to start later?"
Rasputin nods slowly, "Da, rightink aways dis goodink." He pauses a moment, and pulls out tall glass, puts some ice in it, then pulls out a glass pitcher and fills the glass with a brown liquid. "Lemon, or lime? Sugar?" Rasputin says as he looks to you and waits.
Rasputin nods and puts a slice of lime into the drink, and places it infront of you. He then takes a small break, goes up stairs and comes back in a few minutes. He hands you a credit stick and locker token. "Da, da. 28K in that token stick." He smiles, "Da?"
Galvin smiles in thanks to Rasputin and picks up the iced tea and takes a long sip from it before returning to his breakfast. "Oh great. Thank you." He says as he takes the credit stick from Rasputin and puts it in one of his many pockets and zips the pocket closed.
Rasputin nods, tugs his beard, "Da, da. Now, if you don't mindink, I must be catchink up on these orders. So many orders." He chuckles and goes to wash his hands, of course and gets right back to work.
Galvin nods his head as he finishes up his fried rice and leaves the plate on the counter. He takes a final sip of his iced tea and heads out to his ATV so he can gather his tools and start getting to work.
