The Kingsdale Landing Strip is actually quite a small facility. There is only one runway, though it is easily big enough to accomodate even very large transport planes at 3,000 meters in length. There is a small control tower off to the left at about three stories but by and large the runway is actually the most seldom used part of this large facility. Now and again, civilian planes and helicopters land for fuel or repairs and there are a few hangars that serve this purpose. A few more are available for storage, and still a few more away at the end of the runway hold the single flight of combat aircraft that belongs to the Kingsdale Military.

What the Landing Strip is used for most commonly though, is as a vehicle storage facility. Massive hangars are dedicated to this; holding tanks, armored personnel carriers and all sorts of armed craft -- everything which is not permitted in the city.

Needless to say, this is an extremely active area with a crush of people and the roar of engines always sounding.

The morning chill lingers heavily over Kingsdale this morning - the sun having not yet ascended to any worthwhile height, the light only just beginning to flood the landscape with an unseemly grey. But, come what may, the Landing Strip is always moving with the pulse of commerce, the pulse of necessity. With a need in mind, Celaeno is trudging red nosed and cheeked as the cherry of a cigar burns amid the mingling smoke, the snow stinging despite her coat being drawn tightly around her as far too many swords hang from her belt. One, two, three, four - two on either hip - swing heavily with the motion of walking as she peers here and there.

Galvin is puttering around his ATV making a simple little breakfast for himself while waking up from a restful sleep. He is well bundled against the cold as he cooks up some hashbrowns and eggs. The back of his ATV is open and inside is an array of well organized equipment and tools. He turns his head to look and Celaeno walking around as he pours his breakfast into a bowl.

An ATV is an ATV, except when it's simply a drop in the sea. Though a few positioned here and there are perhaps less than a sea, it takes Celaeno a few moments' wandering and peering to discern anything of interest about this particular ATV. Once it all begins to dawn slowly, her arms fold, peering with an eerie attentiveness. Beat. Beat. And she ducks her head, one hand sliding to her cigar as she inhales greatly at the smoke, the wisps concealing her face for but a moment as she moves. "Offer a man a drink? A smoke?" comes the question as she comes to a stop. "At least so long as he's got a cup of coffee to extend in return?"

Galvin looks at watches Celaeno make her way through the vehicles while he eats up his breakfast quickly, pausing only to dab hot sauce on the next bite. He manages to finish it and put away his clean bowl before Celaeno makes her way over. "Uh sure I've got coffee." He says while taking out a metal coffee cup and fills it with fresh coffee. He picks up some cream and a shaker of sugar and offers it up while he passes over the cup of coffee. "No I don't smoke tobacco thank you though, but I guess a little drink wouldn't hurt." He says while pushing his glasses up on his nose.

The cigar is deposited back into her mouth as one of her hands slides into her coat - a shiver resulting from the sudden influx of air - and Celaeno produces a flask. Uncapped, tilted into a pour, and she promptly moves to exchange the flask for freshly topped off cup. "I'll take it straight, thanks," she states brightly, turning down the creamer and sugar. "Living out of your truck, huh?" she poses, moving to lean against it.

Galvin picks up a can of diet soda that he has been working on and pours a little of the contents of the flask into his soda. He takes a sip of the soda and makes a bit of a face but doesn't cough at least. "Well 18.4 cubic meters of enclosed and seperate cargo space ain't too bad, but I'm going to be moving into an apartment soon." He says while patting the three wheeled ATV fondly. "Not to mention it is a four seater so I think it is not bad as far as living out of it goes. I also made some custom modifications to make it a better work area and living area." He shrugs his shoulders quickly as he offers Celaeno a meek little smile.

"Didn't say anything against it. Probably a godsend if you were out in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nothing but snow and awful. But there's one thing even a shack's got over it, and that's the ability to stand up without sticking your head out the hatch." Sipping at her coffee, her cigar sliding into her hand almost of its own volition, Celaeno grins widely at the meekness set out before her. "Glad to see you're getting settled - at least in theory. Think you'd be able to tinker with a few swords I managed to bust up the other day? I said I'd be paying you a bit of a visit - though I wish that armour'd been anything better'n scrap after."

"Yah there have been a couple nights like that but luckily enough for me I'm a city boy so don't go out too often. And no way am I the 2.4 meters tall that would require me to hunch over, so it ain't too bad." Galvin says with a slight shrug as he sips on his soda again. At the mention of swords he nods his head quickly as he jumps down from the back of the ATV. "Sure I can take a look at them. I can't do much if your armour is scrape though, but fixing swords shouldn't be a problem." He says while holding out his hands.

Celaeno's gaze fixes warmly on the inbound man, her grin fixed through the cup as she takes a long draw of the coffee. "Glad to hear it," is all that she says before setting the mug down, hands quickly shifting to her coat followed by her belt to unclip the two swords at her left hip - a katana and a vibrosword. "These two bastards apparently decided it'd be a better idea to stop working than continue cutting into a dragon. I think the big one's only got some issues with the electronics, but the smaller one chipped off a hell of a chunk." Her open coat leads to a series of shivers as she extends the two swords over - exposing a simple and wholly too-thin-for-the-weather black camisole before she promptly moves to regain some of the warmth.

Galvin takes the swords in his hands and closes his eyes for a moment before opening up his eyes and frowning slightly. "Huh, uh would you mind taking a few steps back? You seem to do something when your around for some reason." He says with a slightly apologetic smile as he sets the blades down on the back of his ATV and takes out a few tools from his tool kit. "I'm sure I can fix them just give me a second to diagnose the problem if you would?"

Buttoning her coat, Celaeno moves to take her coffee, "No need to spring to work right this instant," she says, not moving from her spot as she smiles. "Just sit back and enjoy the morning - I trust you to do it in your own time. Just sit and enjoy your drink, hm?" As to the first bit about moving away, or doing something odd, she doesn't seem to have even picked up on the statement.

Galvin raises an eyebrow out of curiosity but then shrugs his shoulders and takes another sip of his soda. "Alright. Anyways I should be able to fix these no problem even the chip on the sword." He says with obvious confidence in his work. He sits back on the back of the ATV as he seems to enjoy the brisk weather. "So did this fighting a dragon huh? That seems pretty exciting."

The sudden spasms of shivering dim down as the coat does its job and the irish coffee begins taking hold. Celaeno's smile dies down, "These things happen. Something goes around pissing people off, not having the good sense to get out of dodge, something's going to stand up and make sure it doesn't keep going. And the excitement's only the half of it - the pay's pretty good too," she finishes with a wink.

Galvin reaches back and picks up a outdoor space heater from his ATV and sets it up near where Celaeno is standing. He switches it on and it quickly starts radiating heat. "Well that is way out of my league. I don't have the equipment for that sort of fight. But who knows one day maybe I'll own a giant robot. That would be cool. Glad you came back alive and can give me some of that pay." He says with a bit of a laugh and then blushes a bit at the wink Celaeno gives him.

"You find yourself some power armour, and I'm sure I can find you more than enough things to smash it against. Might not be quite so cost effective, though. Anything else I can do for you, hmm?" Celaeno eyes the space-heater warily, taking in the warmth in spite of her hesitance. "Or shall I let you on your merry way?"

Galvin nod his head slightly as he wears a little grin. "Sure I guess that would work too." He takes another long sip of his soda but looks up at your question. "Oh you have to get going? Aww that's too bad. Well if you need any modifications or anything fixed just tell me. I should be able to work on most things. Not like I have much to do. I should be able to fix these swords no problem."

Celaeno squares off for a moment, eyeing Galvin for a few moments before pushing off the ATV and finishing the coffee. "Yep, afraid I do. If you're so hard up for a job as all that, I'm sure there's a place looking for mechanics along here - if you're too shy to be putting in a word, I might see if I can't hook you up. At least it'd give you something to spend your time on, huh?"

Galvin shrugs his shoulders. "Yah I figure places are more likely to hire me after I have a place to live. I think I'll go work for Rufus in that garage over there." He says while pointing off to Cali's old garage. "Sure thanks again for the work. I'll be here or I can radio you when they are done."

Celaeno nods, "Planning on holding onto my flask, are we?" The question is lighthearted, her grin driving home the lack of concern, though she moves to collect it. "I'll see you around, then. If you manage to piece together some ancient powerful giant mechanized suit of destruction, look me up - I'll have use for you. Otherwise, take it easy." With that, she turns to move away from the ATV, cigar finding its way back to her mouth.

Galvin blushes slightly Celaeno collects the flask. "Uh yah well I'm working on that. Just need to make money first. You take it easy as well." He laughs softly as he gives her a little wave goodbye.
