Kingsdale - Jelani's Adventures

Ever wanted to have a romantic dinner under the twin moons of Sepion IV? Ever Desired to go sailing on the tropical seas of Tashinji? Or perhaps climb Mount Varmacle on Breldor Prime? Well then you've come to the right place! Jelani's Adventures is the sort of outfit that the rich, wealthy and powerful use to go on exotic vacations and thrill trips. Run by no other than Jelani Varness a still slim and attractive 40 year old Techno-Wizard with a flair for a life of adventure. With a sizable staff of up and comming to vetran mercenaries and mages to suit all your safety needs, Jelani's Adventures sets out to do what few dare offer. They will go anywhere, under almost any conditions so long as you've got the pocket book to pay for the adventure. While they have a vast catalog of specialized sites pre-arranged for assorted adventures from breath taking mountaineering and rock climbing, to romantic dinners, jungle walks and exploration of alien ruins, they will go just about anywhere a client could possibly wish.

The storefront itself is both stylish, and practical. Couches made from only the finest exotic leathers, potted plants from numerable worlds and etched crystal glass tables adorn the seating area and office. Along with this an assortment of promotional holographic pictures adorn the walls showing off the prime locations to which the company offers trips to. The immediate staff are all well dressed, polite, and clean. The sort you'd expect to be dealing with anyone who's wealthy enough to afford dropping 10 million creds or more on a simple six hour transdimensional trip for fun. Even the security staff here are almost in parade shiny armor, though they look no less well armed and competent for it. That said, it's not -too- uncommon to see some one who looks like some mere lowly scruffy mercenary walking in, or even working here tempoarily no matter how much they stand out like a sore thumb. Afterall Jelani's hires only the best (Or so they claim) personnel they can find to staff their expeditions regardless of the person's appearance. And some of their clientele are hardly new to getting their hands dirty either.

It's early morning, damn early.. in the morning. It's still rather chilly out for March. The door opens and Vargus slips inside, taking a moment to look around the room. He blinks his eyes a few times and brings a hand up to rub absently at his peepers. He is currently moving sans armor, and his familiar is not about at the moment. He meanders around the room looking at a few odds and ends, but glances over his shoulder occasionally at the front desk looking to see if anyone pops out or takes an interest.

Stepping out from the back Tirzah looks surprised to find someone in this early. Quickly she combs her hands through her unruly effort in a vain attempt to look presentable. "Welcome." She greets in a warm tone.

Shaking her hair out as she walks in, Sage doesn't look too worse for wear at this hour in the morning. Cradled in her arms, she carries a thermos for a special brew that she'd made up for her partner. There seemed to be some sort of urgency in this particular matter. She soon spots the man that had arrived just moments before her. "Hey..." She greets the man simply.

Vargus leans back over his shoulder to address one greeting, and then stops and turns the other way to Sage. He turns around and looks between the two women, smiling to the pair. "Good morning, ladies..." he pauses a moment and makes his way toward the desk, assuming that's where Sage is drifting as well. He looks ti Tirzah, "Ohhh yeah... I forgot you said you worked here. I'd been meaning to drop my resume off since I moved here, but just got around to it.'

Tirzah nods to Vargus and then looks greatly relieved as Sage appears behind him. She drops some of her retail mirth when Vargus reveals his intent. "Alright I can take the resume and forward it to Jelani." Then she smiles widely to Sage. "Just in time! I still cant believe they gave me such short notice for this early shift."

The man's assumption would prove correct as Sage wanders towards the desk as well. She doesn't interrupt the man as he speaks to Tirzah, and lets the opportunity reveal itself. She smiles to Tirzah, as she steps up to the desk and offers the thermos over to the other woman. "That's okay. I hope this helps make the day go smoother." She says, before glancing back to the man. "Seems more and more people want to start working here." She notes with a little bemusement.

Vargus wrinkles his nose a little at Sage's comment. "Really? Have there been that many?" He sighs and turns back to Tirzah, "Ohhhhh, I dropped it off a few days ago... it's in the system somewhere, I'd imagine." he waves his hand a little. "I can wait..." he smirks. "Oh, well... I guess I can't." Then a shrug. "I just figured I'd stop by and check up on it, but I probably should just wait for a call and not be so nervous..." he trails off, apparently preoccupied with something else.

Tirzah nods to Sage showing interest that those she knows applying as well. "Oh its not a huge increase in applications overall, just more people I know." She clarifies for him. "And if your resume is in the system its already been forwarded and there's not much I can do in that regard." She explains as she pours her self some steaming coffee and chugs it down.

Sage offers a slight smile to the man's concerns, but her partner seems to have the answer covered. She nods faintly after the two converse, before stepping towards the man. Tirzah's chugging of the coffee doesn't surprise her. She focuses on the man for the moment. "It is likely good to show initiative... but, not too much." She offers, "Perhaps I can help take your mind off the application... although, I'm not sure how exactly yet." She adds the last bit with a hint of humor.

Vargus grins at Sage and nods in agreement. "Yeah, I just couldn't sleep so I thought I would drop by to see if they were open." He sweeps an arm toward Tirzah, "and lo and behold...! Here we all are..." He opens his mouth to say something else and he stops, mouth open.. which he clicks shut after a moment and gives Sage a strange look. "That sounds... ominous." He leans one arm against the counter and nods to Tirzah, "Yeah, I figured. I guess I just wanted to make sure that it was picked up," he shrugs again, "guess I haven't been having much luck with stuff, and just wanted to make sure."

Tirzah nods, looking visibly refreshed by the coffee. Then she gives a curious look to Sage, wondering what her lover is inviting Vargus into. "That does sound ominous." She echos before looking back to Vargus. "In the mean time i could probably answer any questions you have about working here." She offers warmly.

Considering the reaction that she gets from both of them, Sage can't help but give a little chuckle. "Perhaps my work is done, in that case..." She muses to herself, giving a gentle shake of her head. She quiets down for a moment, letting the two speak about business for the time being. Vargus's brow furrows and he looks from Sage to Tirzah, "...is she always that much of a tease? Sheesh." He fires a wink at Sage and turns to Tirzah, "Hummm... questions. Well, I know you've got some mojo in 'ya, from what I recall. What do you do for the company? Guide? Expert in your field?"

Tirzah nods slowly to Vargus in regard to both is questions. "She is, I keep telling her it not fair to the guys, but she wont listen." She tells him with a humorous tone and coy grin. "As for my position I am usually a general guide though I am preferred for certain environments and locations." She explains simply.

"You were the two that seemed to make it sound like more than it was..." Sage murmurs in her defense, before gets one of those secretive smiles as she glances between the two of them. She offers a faint shrug.

Vargus nods energetically to Sage, "Well... yeah. You leave it open like that, and it gives us license to fill in whatever we want to in the blanks, see." His eyebrows quirk up and he gestures to Sage, while turning to look at Tirzah, "And then she does something like that... c'mon, we can't be held responsible." he motions between Tirzah and himself and shakes his head before turning back to the woman behind the counter. "I put in for general guide, and travel facilitator." He tilts his head a little to the side. "Do you know if they're allowed to use the nearby nexus for travel? Makes things difficult without it."

Tirzah shakes her head, smirking at Sage. "Tease me all you want dear, I'll return the favor after work." She promises boldly before looking back to Vargus. "Are you kidding? Those prudes wont open that up for any reasonable amount of credits. No when a nexus is needed we go to one in the wilds and bring a convoy of mercs to clear the area for us."

"Well, I wasn't sure what might help get your mind onto other things..." Sage mentions, before she glances over to Tirzah. "That's hardly fair... I have to behave here..." She teases lightly, before she quiets down once more.

Vargus grins and nods to Tirzah, "That makes sense.. although it's too bad they have such a tight reign on the local one. It'd be really convenient." he smirks at Sage, "There aren't any other people around, why do you have to behave? Sounds like an excuse to me."

Tirzah bursts into a giggle fit at Vargus' comment to Sage. After a few minutes of that she smirks to Vargus. "Oh you're priceless, I'm gonna invite you to all the parties. But honestly she's doing us both a favor. I'm not a great person to get hot and bothered without near release." She notes with an alluring smirk.

Sage's purse at the man's comment, but there's a little amusement in her eyes. "Ah... I shall keep that in mind if you start to work here. Perhaps you'd look cute in lots of make-up?" She asks, glancing over to her partner. She raises a brow at the woman, but she doesn't seem to have a comment that she's willing to share on the matter. Vargus frowns at Sage, "Make up? Just keep in mind I cavort with demons..." he chuckles and shakes his head, eying Tirzah. "Oh yeah? Have one of those impulse control issues? Go from zero right to do-me-now? That must get awkward.." he last aimed as a question to Sage, since she has to deal with that part.

Tirzah laughs openly, but takes not of Sage's retraction. "Oh dear, You're a good laugh. But really, were straying past the scope of your comprehension demoncaller, and we're not the type to give lessons. So just accept things were we leave them, and remember I have me own associates." She reminds him with a cunning smile.

Taking a moment to consider the other two, Sage considers how the conversation seemed to get steered in this direction. "Tirzah may have trouble controlling some impulses... but, I imagine it isn't quite how you mean." She comments, "As for demons..." She glances to Tirzah with a mischievous look, but doesn't speak whatever implication she was about to make.

Vargus looks between the two women, and then laughs, shaking his head. "...actually, I don't go for that whole demon-thing. I'm one of the shifter sub-sets, an artifact hunter. Less of a focus on summoning things to nibble your bum." He just lets the previous topic lie. He's not going to touch that one.

When the man laughs, Sage gives a quick grin as her eyes sparkle faintly with amusement. Her lips purse when he speaks about his focus, giving a thoughtful nod when he finishes. She glances towards the redhead briefly. << Have you found a new friend? >> She asks in a light mental tone, before she looks back to Vargus.

Vargus stifles a yawn, ".. I really have to stop staying up so late." he shakes his head and opens his eyes wide, then looks back at each member of the pair. "Huh, well... we're still like shifters, but, just training is a little different. Trained a bit more in espionage... getting into places, and we're a bit more martially-oriented. Can't harness as much potential energy as a full shifter, though. But, we can use the little 'rift-home'" and he actually makes the quotation fingers in the air, "ability to go to safehouses that we can setup wherever out there." he waves one hand around randomly in the air.

Tirzah turns to Sage and smiles warmly before nodding with a sidelong glance to Vargus. "I think so, he's fun, you seem to like him, pretty good start." She notes before turning her attention fully back to Vargus and his explanation. "Oh so you don't summon or otherwise acquire artifacts on a regular basis?" She asks innocently.

Sage offers her partner a small smile to the warm smile she gets, glancing to the man when Tirzah expands on the given nod. "I guess so." She comments, before looking to the man as he begins to explain the finer points of his particular training compared to shifters. She doesn't have a fine understanding of magic, however. "Shall I leave you two to compare notes and exploits?" She asks softly.

Vargus grins at Tirzah. "On a regular basis? No... and no demons. Shifters get a bad rep for that. Not ALL of us sell our souls for a buck." He shakes his head at Sage, "We can talk about whatever, I just like to answer questions if people are curious. The more facts that are out there, the less rocks will be thrown at my head."

Tirzah shakes her head regretfully. "Actually I need you both to take off so I can do some actual work. But thanks for the early morning reprieve and especially the coffee Sage. I'll make it up to you." She claims with a warm smile.

"You're welcome." Sage replies to her partner with a smile, letting a warm thought drift into the other woman's mind before she turns her attention to Vargus. She shrugs faintly to him, "It just seemed like the conversation may have led to Tirzah being able to put in a good word for you. And, I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to magic..." She pauses to consider him a moment, "If you think of something fun you'd like to do sometime... let me know." She offers, before turning to depart for the door. "Take care..." She offers for parting words.

Vargus pushes up off the counter, his eyebrows perked up and nodding. "Oh, sure.. sure... I should get going anyway. Try and spend my nights outside the city, and I haven't gotten around to sleeping yet today." he looks back to Sage, "I'm always up for random entertainment."
