Today makes you think of the tropics on a good day. The heat would be wonderful, if you have some fruity dink in hand. Instead you're looking out over fields and forest.

A hot day like this is almost enough to make a body miss the unceasing rain of the spring, since it's made all the more uncomfortable by the suddenness of the shift. It's a good day for being indoors and air conditioned - or stomping around in climate-controlled environmental body armor. It's Bek's first visit to the garage, though maybe one time a long long time ago she might have met Cali and it's some distant recollection of the name that's brought her to pick this garage out of the dozens surrounding the landing field. She's towing a long case along behind her, as long and as wide as a coffin but evenly rectangular in shape. The small wheels built in the far end squeak cheerily as the box trundles along behind its owner.

Not everyone has the luxury of an enviromental suit, however, and poor Amber looks like she could use a bit of air conditioning about now. Her Coveralls are half off, the arms tied around her waist, and only a tiny fan attached to the open hood of a truck attempts to keep the heat at bay. She wipes her head with a dirty forearm before removing her bandana and wiping her face properly, quickly securing it once more as she hears the noisy approach. She turns, eyes wide as she smiles, "Well what'da we have here?" she asks as she jumps down off her little step-ladder to face the armour before her.

Rebekkah detaches one hand from the drag handle of the oversized crate and gives Ambrielle a flappy wave even while she distractedly looks around at the rest of the garage. "Hi, umm, who is the person here who fixes power armor?" She doesn't bring her eyes - tinted a blazing azure shade - back to Amber until a few seconds after she's finished asking the question.

Amber grabs a cloth from her back pocket and uses it to rub at her hands, a fairly sterotypical gesture for one in her line of work. She offers the clean hand to the taller lady and smiles, "That'd be me or Cali, I suppose, but as I'm the only one here right now, I think i'm your lady." she looks over at your cargo, "What is it exactly you're lookin to git done?"

Rebekkah looks down at the hand with uncertainty and hesitates before giving over her own hand for a shake. "Um.. didn't I just say?" she wonders, sounding earnestly puzzled, and drops the raised end of her crate so that she can turn herself and gesture at it. "I need to get my armor fixed. It got shot up a little bit. Again. Oh! I also had this idea? I got it from the Skelebots! I wanted to find out if I could have a vibrosword put in the forearm that I can pop out when I need it, you know?"

Amber returns the shake, then crosses her arms before her, "Well fixing is pretty vague, Armor repair is one thing, and then there's power plant repairs, and the enviromentals...heck, even electrical is a different can of worms." She walks over to the crate, and attempts to lift the top with a booted foot so she can peer inside, "As far as adding a blade, thats childsplay, assuming we can find what you're lookin for." She turns her attention back to the woman, "Though, if you're getting shot up a lot, you sure up close and personal weaponry is what you want?"

The crate is latched closed, to keep the contents from spilling out accidentally, but doesn't appear to be locked. "Nooo, no no," Bek hurries to answer with a shake of her head and a jig of her long ponytail. "It's just the armor plating, all of the systems are fine. I think." A shadow of worry passes over her face, her eyes turn down and to the side to try to mask it. "But yeah! Something for if I end up too close to use a rifle? There's this Cat Boy who has a laser sword that would be mega wizzer to have built into my suit, but I haven't seen one for sale before. I haven't looked though, really."

"Ok, so you want me to track this stuff down? I can probably do that, and I can look for a laser sword thingy if thats your preference." she squats down before the crate and wipes her hands on her thighs before opening and peering inside, "Awww!" she says softly, looking at the contents, "Yeah, i can handle this, probably make it even better than new, if thats something you were interested in." she grins as she stands, "I'll have to do some huntin around and see whats out there, but I can probably get you a quote by tomorrow?"

Rebekkah's lips and the tip of her nose twitch to one side as she watches Ambrielle's reaction to the folded and stored power armor. "I didn't bring the other box with the wings and engine, will you need those to test it or whatever?" Self-conscious, eyes reverting to a subdued mahogany brown, she shifts her weight from foot to foot and clasps her hands behind her back. "Maybe I can find the stuff too, but you probably know all kinds of people for that kind of stuff right? So, yeah!" Her mood bounces like a rubber ball, rebounding energetically, eyes flickering pink now. "If you can find a laser sword thing, and how much for a regular vibrosword too. And... the fixing," she adds with a small gesture at the crate.

"Yeah, I can put that all together, will take a day or two. I know a guy who knows a guy." Amber takes a step back then, leaning against the truck she was working, her small frame almost silly looking next to the large vehicle, "I'll need the engine for sure, at some point, to make sure the new weapon systems can pull power from it, but the wings are probably no really needed." she hrms as she stares at you, almost seeming to stare through you with her large eyes, "Though, depending on the vibrosword, we might want them to test for balance and what not...don't want you flying in circles." she grins, eyes snapping back into focus.

Rebekkah's head tilts faintly to one side and she stares right back at Amber with an equally faint little smile playing on her lips. She's quiet for an unusually long time, wrestling with saying something that's on her mind, until at last she caves: "When you do it, it's gotta look good, you know? It can't just be, like, a sword stuck on the forearm with some bolts. It's gotta slide in under the armor and be all smooth and flash. It's okay if it costs a little more to do custom."

Amber snorts even as she grins, as if the laugh caught her off guard, "I was just gonna tape it, maybe use some appoxy," she says, her expression changing to that of someone who's totally being inconvenienced, "But I guess I try to put a _little_ effort into it." she sticks her tongue out, though not directly at you, "We're professional, Miss, Cali wouldn't let me send anything out of this garage that didn't meet her almost impossible standards." she hrms, eyes narrowing a bit on you as she smiles, "Just cause i'm young, doesn't mean I'm not capable!"

"Yeah, but you're pretty!" Bek crows, unable to keep herself from grinning at the irony. "And everyone knows pretty girls can't be good at what they do. Right?" Her grin grows, prettily, and she swings her hands around to clap them together in front of her as she rocks back and forth from her heels to the balls of her feet.

Amber's not real good at reading people, it seems, "The state of your armor is proof enough of that, I guess!" She smiles as well, but her eyes offer a bit of a challenge in them, "I'm a damn fine mechanic, and you can ask around about my work, i've never left a client upset." It seems you've struck a nerve!

Rebekkah's eyes darken to the color of emeralds behind a batting of her long lashes and she presses her hand over her mouth to conceal the smile there. "Are you saying I'm pretty?" she wonders, teasing a bit and being playful a whole lot. "Thanks!" That seems like a great place to leave things, so she offers another floppy-handed wave and starts to walk back the way she came.

"Come back in a day or two, and I'll let you know what's up." she offers a wave to the woman's back before frowning a bit as she walks over and picks up the tow-cable and pulls the crate over to her area before diving back torso first into the engine of the truck.
