Kingsdale - Kingsdale City Museum (Library)

The Kingsdale Library is a simply massive affair. It is one of the largest facilities of its kind in North America and continually draws the ire of the Coalition States for that very reason. It is the size of an entire city block and contains row after row and row after row after row of books, data disks and all sorts of information. Literally anything can be found here, from simple recepies on how to make food on up to the plans to Glitter Boy Power Armor. Magical knowledge abounds here too and it is not an exxageration to say that with time, one can find out just about anything. The actual structure of the 'room' is a giant square, with bookshelves reaching from floor to about ten feet. Librarians and other staff scuttle about to help people find things. Of note is the fact that nothing is permitted to leave the library and both electronic and magical wards make sure that this doesn't happen. Within this huge place are all shapes, sizes and colors. From operators pouring over technical manuals to mages studying spells to children researching for a school project. Rumors abound also of a secret sub level where the truly rare books and items are kept. These rumors are true, but unless someone has been invited to the sub-level by a few specific people.... magical wards prevent the entrance from being found.

                                                <1> Library Garden

Of all the places one might find Leonard, the library is no real surprise. True, he has been scarce or reclusive recently, but now his study has returned to more focused and literary sort. He is seated at one of the larger tables, with a short stack of tomes and a data reader close at hand.

With a small smile on her lips, Sage wanders into the library and waves to people as she moves. Instead of heading to the garden, she pauses within the library itself. After a brief pause, she disappears into the a particular section of books. Once she's finished, she comes back with a small pile of books. As she wanders, her gaze falls onto Leonard. With a little bit of a saunter, she heads over towards the table. "Hey Leonard..."

Leonard looks up from the text when he's called, some surprise on his face when he spots the source. He has not seen Sage for quite some time, and the sway in her steps might also be somewhat unexpected. A smile finally forms. "Hello. It's been... awhile, hasn't it?"

Aside from the saunter in her step that ends as soon as she arrives at the table, Sage simply smiles as she sets down the books onto the table. "Yes, I think it has..." She replies with a brief nod, before reaching to pull out a chair. "You don't mind if I sit here, do you?"

"Not at all... Please." Leonard shakes his head and motions a hand to the table where she already sat. "How have you been? Was everything... settled between you and Tirzah?" The last he remembers, there were some issues.

"Thank you." Sage replies as she settles into the chair that she's pulled out. "I've been alright... and things have been fine with Tirzah lately." She replies simply, "How are things with you?" She asks as she takes up the first book from the pile. Judging by the looks of it, its a cooking book meant for serving many people.

Leonard shrugs his shoulders. "Busy, but good. I'm glad everything is alright." A small chuckle follows. "Otherwise, the city might run out of ice cream... Are you planning a party?" He dips his head to the book in her hand. "Or opening a restaurant? I know you are a wonderful cook."

"Everything will be more than alright soon." Sage replies cryptically as she begins to leaf through the table of contents with a small smile on her lips. Then she looks up to Leonard with a brief thoughtful look. "I'm thinking of having a big gathering where everyone can enjoy themselves... maybe I'll use ice cream for dessert." She pauses, "You can come, of course."

"Oh?" Leonard is not sure what to make of her prophecy, but the mention of a gathering could explain it. "Well, between you as hostess and cook, and ice cream, I think that would make most everyone feel better than before." He smiles some with the mild tease. "Thank you for the invitation. Is it a special occassion?"

Sage's lips curl into a smile once more, "I hope so." She replies, before giving a soft contented sigh. "Yes, something wonderful has happened recently and I wanted to share the moment with others..." She replies, "Its amazing how quickly your life can change, isn't it?"

Leonard nods to that, but also quirks a brow. "Things can change too quickly, and not always for the better, unfortunately. Wonderful is a good change, of course." His smile grows, and then he asks, "What happened that has you so pleased?"

"Perhaps..." Sage replies, before tilting her head slightly as if considering the matter further. The smile returns when he speaks of it being a good change. "Yes... a good change." She replies, "And..." She pauses to look around as if considering confiding something to the man. "Well, a revelation has opened my eyes, Leonard." She says quietly with her gaze becoming intent on Leonard. "People /have/ to know about it... and, once its taken root, we'll all be happier for it."

Leonard follows her glances with his eyes, uncertain as to the why or what. Her confiding in him is not especially informative, either. "A revelation? If everyone needs to know about it, why not share... or is that the reason for the gathering? A public announcement?"

Sage makes a pointing gesture to Leonard when he asked if its the reason for the gathering. She gives the other man a smile as if a teacher pleased with her pupil, before giving a faint frown. "But, I don't think you're ready to hear it yet..." She comments uncertainly before she perks up, "You could help invite people, though!" She exclaims before looking abashed as she glances around again. "And, then when the events underway... we could always have an in-depth chat somewhere... what do you say? Is it a deal?"

"Well..." Leonard is uncertain how to respond, and adds an equally uncertain smile. "I could invite others, if I knew where and when, I suppose. Without knowing what, though, might make it difficult... not that people won't come just for the food."

"Its only natural to have doubts, Leonard." Sage replies sweetly, "And, all I ask is for people to come for the food... if they decide to leave after eating with no interest in opening their eyes to new possibilities... well, what gathering doesn't have people like that?" She pauses to purse her lips, "As for where... perhaps near the merchant plaza... there's the park, and plenty of places to get more food if the turn out is better than expected."

Leonard shrugs his shoulders. "I don't have any doubts about the food, and I am open to new ideas, of course." His smile grows stronger. "It is good to see you so content. If you want a large crowd, the park would be a good choice."

Sage nods, before some relief seems to set into her posture. She nods, "Alright." She agrees easily enough before she looks back to the book. She begins to flip through the pages. "Need to find the right recipes first, though..."

"I'm sure you will find something wonderfully delicious." Leonard chuckles, and finally glances back to his own tome, which appears to be one of many catalogues concerning creatures of the realms. He does not peruse long before sighing and closing the book. "Speaking of which, you've now made me terribly hungry..." She receives a mildly accusing smirk. "I shouldn't have ignored lunch."

Sage glances up to favour the other man with a smile, "Alright... take care of yourself, Leonard." She replies, "I'll see you in a couple days?" She asks, looking at the man long enough to get a response before looking back to the books before her.

Leonard nods to her as he stands up. "If not earlier. I won't be gone for long, as I still have much more study to do." He motions a hand to the books and data, then to hers. "Good luck with your hunt for recipes."
