Just why Vixen has brought Leo out she only reveals just as they arrive at the fringes of the plaza. The afternoon is mature this Thursday and the crowds at the plaza are just starting to taper off ever so slowly. "I think you need some new threads, Leo," she tells him, lightly attached to his arm with a loose loop of her own. "You had the right idea with the jeans, but I think we might need something a little more permanent. Lots of people like to say that clothes make the man." She grins idly. Of course, for her, she's been 'enjoying' being armored, as she is now, though she left the helmet at home.

"They are a bit more casual and comfortable." Leonard admits as they strollimp along with more stroll than limp, but the right knee is still weak and favored. He is in no rush of any sort, anyhow, and returns her grin, adding an arched brow. "Permanent? What did you have in mind? The clothes are supposed to come off, you know."

Vixen grins a little as she moves him along with a casual, languid lead in a particular direction as they mix into the people. "Of course, but I'm thinking something that you'll like wearing. So that you lean towards it more than what you tend to wear. Not that it ain't nice, but something a little more snazzy. I like the jeans.. maybe a better shirt. A vest.." She looks towards him, considering his current attire.

Leonard can't help but smirk bemusedly. "So the suit is too much and the jeans are not enough? You are a hard woman to please." He leans in to nudge her with an elbow, which really doesn't have it's desired effect considering her current attire. Instead, there's a *thonk* and a wince. "Ow. I'm missing the leather already. Well, now is the perfect opportunity to dress me." His prior discomfort evaporates quickly with his mirth. "I can't outrun you or fight you off, so feel free to let your imagination run wild." He might later regret the offering of free reign, but, then again, she does know fashion.

"Oh, don't worry. I'm not going to suggest nothing crazy," Vixen assures him with a light grin. "I was thinking some black and red. cause you seem to like dark and red goes good with black." She reaches out to lightly puck at his shirt. "A nice, dark crimson shirt.. maybe with buttons and a pinstripe vest. Some black jeans.. some lighter black pants for when its too hot for jeans. What'd you think?"

"Good. The crazy suggestions are my responsibility." Leonard looks down at his plucked self, attempting to visualize her decision. After a thoughtful noise, he nods and lifts his eyes back to her. "Not a bad choice at all, and I've yet to even browse or try anything on. I do like red, although I'm surprised you didn't throw leather in there somewhere." Now his attention slides more to there surroundings. "If there is a shop specializing in black and red, I'm sure you'd know where to find it..."

"I've seen a nice little place that has some men's clothes," Vixen confirms, leading him along casually still. Not there yet. "And I think that the look will really be you. It's not too formal, not too casual. A simple, tight look. Maybe some nice leather shoes or boots. Calf length boots and a nice leather belt. Both black. Maybe a pattern on the boots?"

The level of 'casual' detail pulls Leonard's brow upwards once more, along with a sidelong glance. "Are you sure that I was only asleep in the hospital for a few hours? That's quite the plan you have, Vix. Is this something you've scetched together somewhere?" It isn't a complaint in any form, but to his limited sense or trend in fashion it seems more than just an off-hand suggestion.

"I've got an eye for clothes.. not just for me, but for guys too," Vixen replies airily. "And maybe I've thought about it once or twice too," she adds, her eyes turning forward as she holds a casual little grin as she adds, "I'm going to need some new stuff too, maybe. I got word of some nice items that I'm planning to pick up one or two of. Armored bodysuits." She glances towards him, a brow arched slightly.

"Armored bodysuits?" That draws Leonard's interest as the two stroll casually, linked lightly at the elbow. Not only is it an affectionate gesture, but it helps minimize his notable limp, somewhat. "I'm beginning to wonder if I should look into something much more casual in the protective realm, as well. Since we're being cautious." That caution is as evident as his mangled gate, as Vixen is in full combat armor sans helm.

With her armored duster overtop. "Yeah. Something that fits under clothes and under armor," Vixen replies with a light grin. She and Leo are walking through the plaza. It's mature afternoon, the crowds starting to draw slowly back from their midday peak. "I figure I could stand to wear something a little more.. revealing over that. Since, really, the bodysuit will cover and outline all." Her brows lift as she gives him a sly little grin.

Alistair is making his way down the plaza, herding a pair of children - a boy and a girl. It's hard to say who exactly is in control right now; Alistair or the children. They try to run around wild, running to the stalls with the shinies, and he tries to chase them down. Not hard, the latter - and at least they don't seem to split up. This lasts for a few minutes, whether people notice or not, until the children are finally delivered to a particular door at a particular building, and taken away by their parents, presumably. Alistair looks relieved, but he didn't look unhappy before at any rate. He turns around to eye the nearest food stand.

Leonard's grin grows beyond sly as the focus in visualizing future clothing turns to Vixen with a sweep of his eyes. "Definitely more flattering than the plate. Easier on by elbow, too." Most of his attention is upon her at the moment, and very little even on where he is headed, much less excited children and their chaperone. "I'm in the process of formulating a spell for personal armor. Two, in fact. Neither would do me much use if I wasn't aware of the need until after I'm shot, though."

"Just too bad it can't be as strong as this stuff." Vixen slips one arm from around his to knock on the chestplate of her combat armor. "What I wouldn't give for some heavy armor that didn't feel so confining." A bit of a disgruntled note on that. "Looks like shit too, but it does the job." She looks ahead and spies Alistair just as he's giving up the kids. Casually curious as they approach his area. Her eyes lifting a little to spot the stall she was looking for just a bit beyond. One of the larger, more permanent ones, set within a large pavilion tent.

Alistair quickly aproaches a stand and ... buys a hot dog. He starts to eat it right away, turning away from the stand happy - that is when he spots Vixen and Leonard, pauses the whole chewing deal as his brows hike up a little, then he seems to snap out of it and he waves at them.

"Can't have it both ways, I suppose, and I'd rather you were as safe as possible when expecting trouble." Leonard's firm not is softened with, "It's hard for me to admire your ass after the fact if you get it shot off..." His attention is then caught by the waving Alistair in their general route and he returns the greeting.

Vixen laughs lightly and shakes her head. "Surviving is what I do, Leo. I don't like taking more chances than I have to," she replies, giving his arm a light squeeze as she looks forward again. In part due to Leo's wave. She nods towards Alistair, and as they near she calls out, "Hey there, Ali. How you doing?" "Hello Miss Vixen and Mr. Leonard, I'm doing alright" Alistair replies with a smile, after swallowing the bit he was chewing on still. "How are you doing?" he inquires curiously, though the answer appears obvious. That and the 'you're still breathing?' expression, though it's only there for a moment, and probably meant for someone or other.

Leonard chuckles as much with Vixen's laugh as Alistair's momentary expression. "We're doing well, Alistair, and, yes, I'm still alive. It surprised me, too." He's well aware of his situations past and present, and is not above putting some humor to them. The mild self-deprecation is likely better than snarky sarcasm.

"Everything is perfect," Vixen states simply. Though after a pause she adds, "Well, almost anyway. A few snags and annoyances, but that's life." She gives her shoulder a casual lift. "We're going to get Leo some new threads. Something a little more snazzy." She looks towards him. "Did you think about a little hair color? What you might want to mix in there a little?"

"Oh, that's good then that everything is alright" Alistair smiles, nodding his head a little. "Threads?" it takes him a few moments to understand that, "Oh, new clothes" he nods again, and takes another bite out of the hot dog now.

"Not really, no," Leonard admits to her colorful question, "and I've had enough blue to go with the black, so I can rule that out. Your suggestions for clothing are, so far, colorful enough, maybe?" He's not gave the subject much consideration, and remains undecided.

"Maybe some red highlights to go with the shirt," Vixen suggests to Leo. One of her gauntlet encased hands lifts, lightly toying with his hair. "At the tips. It would take a little time to get it just right, but it would be nice, I think. Subtle." She then looks to Alistair and gives him a grin. "Of course its good." She glances towards the place he was at before and wonders, "What was with the kids? You babysitting?"

"I promised I would bring them back after class" Alistair explains, glancing back towards where the children were taken, and he then looks back towards Vixen. "I probably do not have the patience to babysit" more than likely an underestimation if not a bold-faced lie. Alistair smiles and point out, "They can be a real handful even for short times."

The toying of his hair does get Leonard to at least consider the possibility. "Subtle red seems a contradiction, but I'm willing to experiment. I'm supposed to be taking things easy for a while, anyways." Meaning that, should things turn horrific, he can avoid the public until corrections are made. Alistair gets a half-grin. "Babysitting shouldn't be all that difficult, since you can return them."

Vixen snorts faintly as she responds to Alistair. "Yeah, you and me both, man. Kids.. I can deal with 'em if they're quiet, but the crazy ones.." She shakes her head slightly, lips pursed faintly. She grins at Leo then and notes, "Not my shade of red.. something darker, not so loud. It would look better with black hair, but I think the right shade would work with what you got."

"I suppose you can, but the time before that is what matters. It doesn't take much to get in trouble" Alistair smiles, nodding, and then perhaps nodding in agreement with Vixen too. "They are all crazy in their own way. You just have to want to play."

"If she ever has the desire for children," it is a guess on Leonard's part, but a somewhat educated one, "she'll likely just get another cat. I'm afraid that I've ruined her tolerance for immaturity. Now, we're doing things the sensible and quiet way." There is a solid note of wit, considering the discussion of colorful clothing and dyeing hair.

"We're not going to be all sensible and quiet all the time," Vixen notes to Leo. "But you don't gotta worry about kids. I don't got time for that. And Tiger is the only cat I need." She grins lightly, looking towards Alistair. "You might think about getting Cali a cat. Might help her relax. Not a kitten though, she needs a mature one that don't need much looking after."

Alistair blinks his eyes at all that, his mind perhaps having wondered a little bit off topic - "Cat?" he asks, "Kittens are cute and they get serious quickly enough" he states matter-of-factly, brows hiking up a little. "But um ... I should go" he says, nodding his head.

Leonard nods sagely to Vixen. "You have enough trouble with me, I know... and what's wrong with kittens?" Perhaps he proves a bit of his own point with the mild whine in the question. His focus shifts to Alistair with his mention of leaving. "Oh, well I hope we didn't keep you, then. The cat is a good idea, though."

"Find her a nice, calm lap cat. With lots of affection and low maintenance," Vixen offers Alistair. "I think it might relax her and she don't have to take a lot of time to care for it." She grins and lifts a hand to give him a wave before she looks to Leo. "The nice thing about cats is, so long as you feed 'em and give them a little time, they don't care about much else. That sort of relaxed and simple thing is wonderful."

Alistair nods, "Oh, no problem" he smiles at Leonard and then to Vixen, "Thank you - have a good day!" he adds, and quickly ehads off towards the apartments.

"They make it easy to know when they need that time, too," Leonard smirks aside with his own parting wave to Alistair, "because they'll creep straight into your lap or otherwise pester until they get it. Tiger has already made that quite clear."

"He knows what he wants. Like me." Vixen gives Leo a casual grin before she starts to lead him off to the pavilion tent once more. "I do have to hand it to your bird.. he's been better. I guess maybe I was at least a little wrong about him. Still don't want him always hanging around inside, but as long as he don't try and look in on me it would be ok if he was inside more.. if he wants to be."

Leonard continues alongside, offering his elbow anew. After a warm smile in response to her comment, his shoulders roll slightly. "It really doesn't matter to Edgar. He doesn't seem to care of the weather, and is often out looking about. Usually the only time he's present is when I have need of him." His grin turns suddenly wry. "If you want to try out new colors, you could always splash some on him, too."

Vixen smirks faintly at that and shakes her head. "Can't really dye feathers.. though maybe we could think of something for that. If he don't mind something like that, of course. Don't imagine he'd really love having some ribbons tied to his legs or.. whatever." The first thing that comes to mind. Her shoulders roll lightly. "Never tried to dress up a bird."

"Just tag him, maybe?" Leonard looses a short laugh. "I was only joking, of course. He might decide to eat the spraycan..." His gaze lifts now to the pavillion ahead. "So, to reiterate... A dark red, buttoned shirt and a red pinstriped black vest?"

"I think you'd look really nice in that," Vixen agrees with a nod. Soon they pass into the tent and within they'll find long tables and racks are set up with clothing laid out along each of them with a few dozen people still browsing about within. "I saw some nice things in here before, I just hope they're still here. Or something similar at least."

Leonard nods as he surveys the tables and racks. "I'm sure we'll find something, Vix. Even if we don't, I got to hobble around and get some exercise. In pleasant company, to boot."

"Are your knees ok?" Vixen's thoughts shifting in that direction at once. Her eyes flicking down before they rise towards his again. "If they start to feel bad, we'll head back home. I can give it another rub." She smiles and starts to lead him towards the tables and racks slowly.

"Well, if you're going to offer that," Leonard suddenly winces with a bit too much exagerration, "then I'm in excruciating pain." He seems to be limping about well enough for their browsing, so far.

"Fake it and I'll make you do exercises," Vixen counters, giving Leo a firm eyeing. The two are just moving deeper into a large pavilion tent. One of the more lasting little shops here, where many tables and racks hold a variety of clothing, male and female. Though the two are moving towards where male clothing resides by and large. With the maturing afternoon, the crowds are peaking and starting to thin ever so slowly, but for now there are quite a few people browsing about. He in his casual garb and she in her full armor.

Deciding that lurking about the plaza as people gossip and shop is getting boring Tirzah decides to interact. Looking about she rediscovers Vixen and Leonard from noting their presence earlier. Then she heads over, taking the shortest route as she likes being direct. "Back together again?" She asks once she's close enough for a casual conversation, equally direct. Her expression is quite inquiring, as if she's been wondering for a bit, but never knew how to put it if at all.

Leonard winces more earnestly at the alternative. "Alright. That /would/ cause a little discomfort, so I'll... Hello, Tirzah." His head turns towards her arriving comment, but the rest of him remains at Vixen's arm. "Yes, we are, and for good."

Vixen looks towards Tirzah, letting Leo speak for the both of them in that moment. "Hurts, but it's good for you," she notes to Leo. She keeps her arms lightly wrapped around the one of his. She'll then nod her head slightly towards Tirzah, but won't, for the moment, say anything as they pause beside a rack packed with men's tops.

A small gap in the growd admits a giant armored being, made up of hooves, horse, man, and steel. Sara and Sebastien move as one, the former's armor resembling something of a pegasus with the artistic sweep of mock wings against the body and a fanciful silver horn protruding just far enough from her head that one might wonder just how decorative it is. Sebastiem rides high, jousting armor functional, with a mismatched slate jet pack slapped to his back. The pair slow as they near Vixen and Leonard, with Sebastien falling out a low 'whoa,' and Sebastien dismounts, clomping through the tent in a rough be line for the group. Either he saw them from afar or something tipped him off as to their whereabouts, because he's undeterred by the many goods he passes on the way towards those shopping. "Your Emayn is quite the firecracker," Sebastien relays as he comes near. "Anything you say becomes an explosion of cursing, volume, wild hands, threats..." The young knight shakes his head, and presses up that pig-nosed visor to peer suspiciously at Vixen. "Quite unlike anyone else I know."

Tirzah raises a brow at Leonard as she considers his limp. "Well that seems simple enough I guess or not. What about Emayne, Sage, myself, or anyone else you propositioned during the fall? What about the path of indulgence you seemed determined to throw your soul into? What about the game that's played around you?" She asks Leonard, the ramifications unclear to her. The looking Vixen over she wonders what would be right to say but apparently comes up empty as she just shrugs defensively.

"You weren't propositioned, Tirzah." Leonard shakes his head. "That was just hormones, remember? And what of you all? We were neighbors and friends beforehand, and may well remain so more easily now that that bit has passed. There are many other ways to indulge." Sebastien receives Leonard's momentary attempt and a chuckled reply to the comment. "Yes, she is, nor is she alone in that, but some know when not to explode."

Vixen shifts her attention as Sebastien shows up as well. The attention at her in conjunction with his last note prompts a slight frown from her. "I don't really feel like talking about her right now," she states. Leaving it there as her attention rolls towards Tirzah afterward, following up Leo's words with, "He knows what's real now and what's not. It ain't a game." Her frown lingering.

Tirzah nods slowly as she takes a moment to consider what Vixen and Leonard say in reply before accepting it with a warm smile. "Well that's a relief I guess." She states before looking to Sebastien and sara. "Hello Sarah, Sebastien." She greets with a sly smile. "Found another girl to beat you down? I hope not, I kinda got one lined up for you." She hints flirtatiously.

"Tough," Sebastien speaks to Vixen, a rough note in his voice. "I went to her to relay a simple message; no mind games. She can beat up whomever it is that she wants, but she cannot play with their heads at the same time. This has set her on the warpath." Sebastien blinks, as if seeing Tirzah for the first time, and his eyes narrow a touch warily to consider that suggestion. "Salut ma Belle," he greets, reaching an arm unbidden about Tirzah's shoulders to give her a brief, if awkward, armored squeeze, his attention turning back to Vixen for the moment. "I am not here in armor because I enjoy the summer heat, mademoiselle Vixen, I am here in armor to relay that you may be in mortal danger. I don't know where this rabbit hole ends, but I know at some point it involves convincing this little one she is *not* invincible."

Leonard now joins Vixen in frowning as Sebastien relates this. "You have my utmost thanks for your unwanted intervention, Sebastien. The common good, or whatever you wished to improve, is obviously /far/ better off for your efforts." Thus arrives the sarcasm before he sighs. "Come on, Vixen. Now my knees are starting to hurt." The current rack is ignored in favor of a tug at their joined arms.

"You guess, huh? Thanks for the glowing vote of confidence." Vixen's response to Tirzah lingering in the low realm. She then looks at Sebastien firmly, her words just as steady. "Then do what you want. If I see her anywhere near me, I'll just fucking shoot her down. Then I can relax and I won't have to wear this fucking armor." When Leo notes his knees, Vixen looks to him at once, her expression softening. "Come on then. I'll pick up the clothes later," she murmurs to him, starting to go easily enough at his tug.

Tirzah levels an icy glare at Leonard as she accepts the awkward embrace from Sebastien. "Hmm I thought you knew to put your toys away when done playing." She notes before pausing as she would have to admit she cant argue with his retort at Sebastien. Then as Vixen illustrates her need for armor and she assumes the source of Leonard's limp she nods slightly, putting it all together. She ignore Vixens displeasure with her acceptance of her an Leonard, probably not thinking anything she could say would be appreciated. Instead she keeps her focus on Sebastien as they move off. "Invincible eh? I knew a girl like that once. Maybe she could help Emayn see things through."

"You're right," Sebastien replies to Leonard with a smile, "the best way to deal with a psychic who is beating people up and tampering with their minds is to let them do whatever it is that they want without repercussions. Surely they will grow bored before your mind becomes a nice flan." He reaches up to blow the man a kiss, winking at Vixen shortly thereafter. His grins fades a bit, and he nods once, lips pursing at that. "Really?" Sebastien asks, turning aside as he looks down at the smaller Tirzah with laughing eyes. "And who would that be, mademoiselle? Let's call her, see if she would be willing!"

Leonard's limping steps halt abruptly, although he does not turn back. Following a long moment of pause, they start up again with a shake of his head. "Remind me again when being an ass is inappropriate?" There is as much genuine curiosity as wit in his question to Vixen as they step away. "Just let it go, Leo," Vixen murmurs. "Ain't nothing that gets through to him. Some people never do anything wrong, after all." She keeps up with him, lingering close, prepared to give any support he might need of her as they move away.

Tirzah nods to Sebastien as she raises her hand to knock on his helmet soundly. "We should, right after we go to newtech to let them analyze you skull for a new light weight composite density formula." She suggests with and distinct tone of sarcasm.

"Is it that I would get royalties?" Sebastien asks innocently, trying his best to keep a straight face before laughing and reaching for Tirzah's shoulders to turn her towards the tent's exit, where Sara awaits. "Come on. Let's find someplace I do not need to be wearing thirty pounds of steel. As much as I appreciate a good set of iron underwear, I'm half afraid I'll rust!"

Leonard simply nods, and his discomfort may not be exagerrated. She is heavily leaned upon in the course of their travels elsewhere.

Tirzah nods letting Sebastien lead her out as she snickers. "Oh really? Perhaps you should consider diapers to keep the moisture to a minimum." She suggests with enduring humor. "But seriously, Emayn is a contender?" She asks, curious about this woman who has done so much so quick.
