The club is a liberal mix of modern and classic styles with a dark, warm lean to the hardwood and metal decor, dressed up with velvet and leather. Set up about the stage with attached DJ station and dance floor at the center, the entrance is set to one end of this, the bar to the other. The entrance itself is tightly controlled. There are always two well dressed people at the front, a bouncer to check each person coming in and another watching the drum and closet lockers that hold all patron weapons.

A broad , semi circular stage extends from the center of the widest wall, rising two feet, with lights rimming the edge and hidden in scaffolds high above. A rich red velvet curtain lies ready to sweep about and veil the stage itself from view. The DJ booth is set up right next to the stage, set into the same wall. With a thick window and biometric locks on the two side doors, one to the stage and the other to a set of stairs down, the equipment within is secure. Within a C shaped desk and racks hold the sound equipment, all linked into a central computer. All done up in sleek, dark cases, mixing well with the warm, wood paneling of the booth's exterior.

A dance floor is central to the club, laid out in a broad circle before the stage. Laid out in a semi circle opposite the stage side of the dance floor are a series of round tables, with smaller two person sized ones at the edge, with larger four person tables in the next row and a few grand six to eight person tables on the outer edge. All staggered to make for the best view for all to the dance floor and stage. To one side of this central focus is the bar, a broad affair taking up much of the shorter wall in width. The bar itself is a mix of modern and classic, with the simple, elegant hardwood design of the bar itself mixing with the display of alcohol behind it, opaque plastic shelves lit from within to highlight the wide selection of common and uncommon liquors for sale. The barstools themselves, lined up in a neat row, mix dark metallic stems with comfy red leather seats.

It's late as Ema enters the Alibi, a not completely uncommon occurrence as of late. What is uncommon, is her complete lack of protection as approaches the bouncer, and he hardly can hold back his surprise as he finds her without any weapons to speak of. She offers him a shrug, the flirtatious removal of her many weapons not on the agenda for tonight. She glances around the bar and doesn't seem to find anyone objectable, causing a soft smile to form on her face as she steps up and orders a drink.

Maya has been looking around for Emayn and enters a moment after the other woman, heading directly towards her, cutting across the dancefloor. The direct route seems to match her serious expression, and she stops near the other woman, her hands resting lightly on her hips. "Emayn." The single word is used to gain the other's attention, her voice raised to travel over the music.

Well that was nice while it lasted, all three minutes of it. Ema hears the voice behind her as her drink arrives, a pint of something Amber, and she turns to face the source while sipping at her glass. Her eyes flicker over the woman before her, her slight drunkenness allow her lips to curl into an approving smile before she can stop them, "Doctor?" she says flatly.

Maya nods, stepping a little closer now she has her attention. "Maya." She offers her name carefully, her lips tightening for a moment. "And I've been looking for you. I wanted to apologise. You are perfectly correct, and I should not use my abilities on anyone in work. So, I am sorry." The apology is given bluntly, with no signs of flinching from taking responsibility.

Ema's body language showed that she was ready for a fight, and a certain type of person might enjoy the rare surprised expression that washes over her face, "Well.." she starts with, eyes narrowing a bit as she searches for her response, "Thats not what i was expecting..." she says softly. Her eyes find yours and she nods, voice raising, "Apology accepted. I know I can be difficult, and I'm not really adapting well to this whole situation," her free hand waves at the wrist, "And your loyal to your friends, and i can exspect that." she takes another drink from her glass, eyes on your face.

Maya isn't that type of person, but her grin appears as the other woman accepts the apology and she offers her hand, a gesture of friendship. "As I said, Leonard is the one who broke his promises. I wouldn't have done as you did but we are not the same." She hesitates, giving a firm nod. "That is all I came to say. Don't hold it against the hospital, it was an error of judgement of mine, and I told the Director about it."

Ema looks down at the offered hand, her drink moving from right to left has before she reaches out to take it, a tad bit of apprehension tinging her eyes. "I'm not really that type of person, and i'd not have tried to get you in trouble. Emotions were high, I was upset, hurt. We all use what we have, it'd be silly not too." she offers a shurg, "Thank you, at anyrate, for treating me like a person." she almost finishes her drink as she leans back against the bar, eyes still on you waiting to see if that was really all.

Maya listens, her hazel eyes resting on the other woman's face thoughtfully. "I owe the Director that much honesty, and I wanted to be certain he heard if from me. Joachim, the Director, has enough on his place without my messing up." A brief hesitation, and then, "You said you didn't understand the rules of living here?" The question is softly spoken, unexpected even to herself from the flash of expression in her eyes. "If I can help, let me know."

"I think the school of hard knocks is doing a pretty good job so far." she says, laughing a quiet laugh into her glass, finishing it, "You live out in the wild for a while, you start to forget about interactions and their consequences. I assumed being honest with my intentions would be safe, but it seems here I'm expected to be responsible for more than just my own actions, and its a bit weird." Alcohol has her tlaking more than she usually would, another oddity from this woman.

Maya nods slowly, her grin flickering out at the laugh from the other woman. "I guess you are responsible for the results of your actions, as well as your actions themselves." She shakes her head, glancing at her watch, "I should go, I have an early shift." A hint of apology in the words and Maya hesitates before stepping in to offer Emayn a hug. That done, she turns on her heel and walks away.

Ema's face is a stoic mask as the little one leaves, eyes narrowed as she makes a mental note to watch that one. She turns back to the bar and orders another drink, her nights mission back underway.
