Curled up on the sofa for over an hour, asleep, eventually Caliopa does stir. She lifts her head and rubs her eyes with the heel of her hand, blinking slowly. "Atti?" Her voice is husky with sleepiness as she looks around her.

Kid has gone into 'her' room. The door closed. Who knows what she's doing in there.

Atticus smiles as he peeks out from the bedroom. "Hey darling. How are you doing? I have some pizza kept warm in the oven. All the toppings and some soda in the chillbox," he says as he steps out, putting a legal pad aside nad moving over to kiss Cali's cheek with a smile. "how do you feel?"

Her smile is bright but lopsided, the dimples deepening as she giggles. "I feel grand! Nothing hurts, Atti." Her voice is a little slurred still, but she reaches to pull at him, intending to pull him down to her level. "Ain't hungry..."

Atticus grins as he kisses Cali's cheek. "I'm sure you feel great. You finally took the painpills," he murmurs as he drops onto the couch and wraps the blanket around her, settling in. "You should eat something though, once you are fully awake, you'll feel better."

She snuggles into him, giving him that bright, lopsided grin again. "I ain't hungry. Do you 'member that robot 'tackin' 'n' the mead after 'n' all?" She looks up at him, the brown eyes struggling to focus on him properly, her mouth set in lines that suggest she is holding back a giggle.

Atticus smiles, "The robot attacking and the mead?" he asks as he glances over and wraps his arm around her, kissing her ahir again. "What are you talking about, hon?"

She blinks a little, trying to make her gaze focus on the spot he is actually in, before she giggles, snuggling her cheek against his chest. "When I slept here, 'n' you gave me mead 'n' kissed me."

Atticus smiles, "I remember that, sure. That was the first night you stayed over," he says with a grin, stroking her back gently. "You rested and you were all upset," he says.

She nods, giggling softly, "'n' you should have come to bed with me, but you wouldn't 'cause I was drunk..." She tilts her head back to peer up at him, brown eyes hazy.

Atticus grins, "And I wouldn't because you were drunk and you were upset and it wasn't a good decision to make, no," he agrees. He leans over to open a bottle of water, taking a small sip from it.

She nods again, blinking as the world spins. "Atti, do you think I'm pretty?" She narrows her eyes at him, more trying to focus than anything else. "There is summit I didn't tell you."

Atticus smiles, "Of course I think you're pretty. You're beautiful. hon. What did you not tell me?" he asks as he takes another long sip from his water, putting it down again.

She untangles herself, rising from the couch and giggling as she grabs for it again to balance. She makes her way, half falling and giggling, to her bag and pulls out a much battered piece of paper which she brandishes at him. "Desmond drew me, looks alllll wrong...ain't really me."

Atticus eyes the picture, rolling it out with a smile. "It's a very nice likeness of you. He really captured your beauty. We should put this into a frame and hang it up somewhere," he notes.

She shakes her head, the movement making her eyes widen and reach for the couch for balance. She tumbles over it's arm to land in Atticus' lap. "T'ain't." She manages, firmly.

Kid comes out of the guest room, a light haze of smoke drifting out in her wake before she shuts it behind her. She's changed into her 'homey' garb, one of the few things she took with her from her place, hair in a mild state of disarray. Between the drink and the smoke and other things, she'll manage to completely miss that Atticus and Cali are still present in the living room when she starts to pass through it, shuffling her way towards the kitchen.

Atticus smiles, "It is, and it's good," he says as he carefully settles Cali to one side with a smile, putting the blanket around her and smoothing over her hair. "Hey Kid," he calls witih a smile. "I know you said you ate but there's pizza in the oven, for later on if you want it."

The fall leaves Caliopa giggling, pink cheeked and dimpling. "Ain't!" She declares, the volume slightly loud, before Atticus' comment draws her attention to Kid and she peers up at Kid. "Hey Kiddy." Her voice is still slurred, and giggling.

"Uhh?" Kid's deep and thoughtful reply to Atticus' words, the girl turning her head to stare blankly towards the two without true understanding for a moment. Then something dawns on her as she blinks and glances about herself. A slight frown comes to her, but the source of it seems to flow right off her after a moment as her expression relaxes. "Yeah, sure," she elaborates to him before she eyeballs Cali. "You should gimme some of what you're on, looks like good stuff," she comments with a slight smirk.

Atticus smiles, "It is," he says with a grin. "She's finally taken the painpills and took two. See, here' s apicture of her. Isn't it a good drawing?" he asks as he indicates the drawing to Kid. "I was just telling her it was a good picture. She doesn't."

Caliopa just giggles at Kid's comment, snuggling down in the couch, the blanket forming a nest around her. "Don't hurt anymore." She explains to Kid, with a broad, lopsided grin. "T'ain't a good picture, he made me look diff'rent."

Kid is curious enough to shuffle closer and have a look at this picture. She leans over a little to peer at it for a few moments. Then she looks at Cali. "Looks like you to me. Face up to it, Cali girl," she states. "Just check a mirror, won't do you much different."

Atticus smiles, "See, you're hot. Beautiful. SOrry, nothing you can do about that," he says with a grin towards the two women. "I'll get a frame, we can put it in the office or somewhere, not out in the living room if you don't want," he notes.

She wrinkles her nose, giggling up at Atticus. "Nope. Ain't goin' where folks see it." The giggling worsens and she covers her mouth with her hand, looking up at him upside down. "'n' me. I got more grease, 'n' ain't so shiny."

Kid just snorts faintly at that. "Won't matter, they'll see it when they look at you, Cali girl. I tell it like it is, y'know that." She turns then and resumes her unhurried shuffle towards the kitchen. "I don't waste time with lost causes, after all."

Atticus grins, "You're hot. NOthing you can do about that, hon," he tells Cali. But he grins, rising and snagging the picture to move into the office, putting the picture on the desk and coming back to sit down. "SO. You want ice cream later on?" he asks Cali.

Caliopa rolls to try and follow Kid's action, the movement causing her to blink and try to focus. "'n' gonna cut my hair off, I think..." She mumbles, rolling off the couch and landing in a tumble of red head and blanket. "Icecream is good." She replies from inside the blanket pile.

Kid blinks and pauses at the door to the kitchen, glancing back toward Cali with a little frown. "Don't you dare. You don't just lop hair like that off, girl. Jus ain't right." With that authoritative statement, she pushes her way inside, homing in on the most obvious source of nourishment. The pizza.

Atticus smiles, "You can't cut your hair, not when you aren't thinking straight. Alright, you want ice cream. WE'll get ice cream in a bit," he says as he rises, helping Cali get a bit more upright. The pizza in the oven is a half and half - half the Cali special with all kinds of meat and extra cheese, the other half full of vegetables and two types of Elven handmade cheese, melted. And garlic bread of course, with cheese. And soda on ice on the counter, root beer and orange soda

She sits up, with Atticus' help, giggling and wrinkling her nose. "Ice cream is good." She mumbles, giving him the lopsided giggling grin. "Gets in the way, see, 'n' stuff." She explains, giving him and Kid a nod as if it explains it all. "'n' then folk'll stop lookin' at it."

Kid only has eyes for the pizza once she gets into the kitchen, slipping open the oven to carefully slip it out. "What the hell.." Muttered as she eyeballs the veggie filled half. "Some kinda abomination.." She pulls a slice of the meat loaded half off, just standing in front of the oven as she bites into it, letting herself linger in a bit of a daze as she enjoys quietly.

Garlic butter and cheese stuffed crust - good stuff, the elf apparently either bought it or made it. Good stuff at least. Atticus smiles at Cali. "Honey, cutting your hair won't stop it. You're pretty. Just gotta accept that, nothing you can do about that," he adds.

Caliopa peers at Atticus, the grin turning into a frown. "It ain't a use, 'n' I don't like it 'cause folks talk to you diff'rent, 'n' act like something." She puts her cheek against the couch, half closing her eyes, snuggled on the floor in the blanket.

Kid is emerging from the kitchen with the pizza slice when Cali pulls that one out. "She shakes her head slightly, voice only a bit muffled through a half mouthful of pizza. "Girl, tha ain gunna chang i'." Pause. Swallow. Shuffling over she sits on the couch and gives Cali a little nudge with her toes. "Unless you're gunna change your face and your body too, cause it ain't just the hair. And then, when you really wanna show off, cause you are some day, you won't have the lovely hair to do it with, cause it takes a decade to get a nice, good head of hair."

Atticus grins, "Indeed. See, Kid has it right. Besides, I know you don't like it 'cause people treat you differently, but you know who your friends are. Like Kid, and me. YOu know who likes you for you," he says as he leans over to snag the blanket over Cali more securely.

"Can I change my face?" She peers at Kid, almost hopefully from within the pile. Atticus' comments get him a peer and a giggle. "Folks are friendly, whatever she says. She is too but don't tell her."

Kid eyes Cali as she asks the question. "Can do anything in this world, with enough cred, but you shouldn't. Especially if you'd mod down, cause that's just wrong. You'd have to do the body too and all that would cost a hell of a lot." The 'aside' to Atticus gets a fresh snort from the girl and another firm nudge of bare toes to hip.

Atticus nods, "Besides, why would you want to be uglier. You're drop dead gorgeous, girl, people pay to have that and you ahve it natural. Just accept it," he says with a grin.

The look she gives Atticus is mournful and she shakes her head slowly. "I don't like it." She snuggles down into the blankets, pulling her plait around to stare at it, unplaiting it slowly. "See." Her voice is slow, like her brain is fuzzy and she is moving slowly through it. "You two don't do it. Janus does it. Ordo did." Her voice is mournful.

Kid shrugs her shoulders slightly, finishing off another bite of the pizza before she states, "Ignore it. I might not be as hot as you, girl, but I get looks too at times. I just ignore em. Unless I feel like playin around with em." She smirks as she thinks back to such times idly.

Atticus grins. "Well, they look beacuse of how good you look hon. Look at it as a compliment," he says to her quietly.

"I reckon you're pretty." She explains to Kid slowly, narrowing her eyes to try and focus. "I don't like it. It ain't practical. Ain't useful."

"Of course I'm pretty, " Kid states, such a thing long since accepted and embraced. "More useful 'n you think and you don't just got you to think of either." The girl casually giving Atticus a meaningful glance. "You should just be who you are, Cali. Not practical spending good cred on that kinda thing," she continues, starting into the pizza slice again, worrying it down to a third.

Atticus smiles, "Life is about more then being useful and practical. It's about what you are. For example, you're one way, I'm another, so on. He crouches, kising Cali's cheek. "You want some of that pizza or you want to move straight to ice cream?" he asks.

The statement that her looks are useful causes a look of pure perplexion to cross Caliopa's expressive features. "'n' I don't ..." The question about pizza or icecream distracts and she looks thoughtful, giving it real attention. "Icecream. 'n' Pizza."

"You don't nothin, girl," Kid goes on, even with the distraction presented. "If you want, I can show you how to dress it down. Clothes and hair and all that stuff. Won't be a hundred percent, but might help you a bit." Then back to the pizza, worrying it down to just the crust.

Atticus grins over at Cali, "well, pick one or the other, hon. YOu can't have both at once, after all. That's not good at all," he says as he glances over at Kid with a smile.

The decision is problematic, according to her face. For a long moment, she regards Atticus with narrowed eyes. "Ice cream ...on pizza?" She speaks slowly, testing the waters for the idea. "'n' think wearin' coveralls ought to help."

Kid snickers at the choice Cali makes, giving her antoher nudge with the ball of her foot. "That's sick, girl. I'll show you how to wind yourself a bun later. Make you look like a librarian or some such so the boys won't fall all over you all the time. Can even get you some fake glasses too." Grinning widely as she nibbles on the crust of her slice.

Atticus laughs, "Glasses and overalls and a bun might help. How about pizza first and ice cream later on, we can make ice cream sundaes and stuff," he suggests to Cali with a grin.

The icecream and pizza gets a slow consider and then she nods slowly, giving Atticus a grin that could only be called goofy. "Bun?" She takes the unplaited hair, tugging it around and twisting it and putting it on her head. She gives Kid a look, questioningly

Kid nods her head a little to Cali. "Won't be too hard, cause a good way to do it is you just braid it, then twist it around a bit at the back of the head and pin it up. Not too hard to do, not too much time, pretty conservative. Me, I don't like wearing it like that, but it'll keep out of your way."

Atticus nods, "You can try it, see if you like it," he tells Cali with a grin. He rises to move to the kitchen. To get pizza for her and for him - two plates and soda for each. Walking it out in two trips, food on a tray for Cali and drink and pizza - the vegetarian one - for him as he sits odwn.

She frowns at the pizza, picking off pieces one by one, by type, licking her fingers in between. "Gonna lock in the garage, 'n' not let folks in." She explains to Kid with that grin, reaching for another type of dressing from her pizza. "Then folks won't do it."

Kid blinks at Cali as she makes that statement, her confusion unhidden as she glances towards Atticus with a quirked brow. "What's she babbling about now?" Now without something to eat, but no desire to seek more, she settles back, lifting up her hand to consider the lingering grease on it.

Atticus grins, "She's saying that she wants to lock the garage so people don't stare at her. BUt I think," he grins at Cali, "She hasn't figured out how her customers are gonna get in to see her," he says with a full smile, his eyes twinkling as he takes a bite of his vegetable medly pizza and elven cheese.

"I am here..." Caliopa mumbles, aiming for dignity but failing. "'n' I figured it. Used to happen. Jus' Atti can bring it, 'n' do money 'n' stuff." She blinks at them both, owlishly, before bending her head over the pizza to peer at it and identify the next topping to be removed.

Kid rolls her eyes, nudging Cali again with her toe. "You gotta get off that trip, girl. Just accept who you are and enjoy the boys goggling. And know what to do if they get fresh. It'll be fine." She slumps a little and shakes her head. "I gotta sleep," she declares then.

Atticus grins, "ENjoy your sleep Kid," he notes as he takes a few more bites from it. ANd a smile directed at Cali. "Well, we'll see what we can figure out then about your plan," he notes with a full smile.

Caliopa gives him a big goofy grin when he smiles at her, before she giggles at Kid. "'n' I don't got to like it. You don't like stuff. I get to not like things too." She pushes the dismantled pizza away, leaning her cheek against the couch, and closing her eyes.

Kid smirks a little and gives her shoulders a roll. "Just don't burn your bridges, girl. I'll help you with stuff later," she murmurs, slipping off the couch. She takes in and releases a breath and she shuffles back towards the guest room, a hand lifted behind her in a casual parting wave.

Atticus smiles at Kid and waves to her, leaning over to kiss Cali gently. "You want to nap some more?" he murmurs as he secures her pizza nd her soda.

"Umpf?" She tells Atticus, opening her eyes enough to give him a grin, "Gonna take me to bed?" She giggles then, closing her eyes, the blanket becoming a nest around her waist.
