Leonard exhales a sigh and his smirk fades as more specifics are known. "I'd suggest that he's not worth the effort, nor the consequences. Not in a combative manner, at least. He is mostly harmless, in my opinion." It seems Leonard does know more than a little of dragons, revealed in his conversation with Celaeno just off the beaten path, as it were.

"There are quite a few people who'd disagree with you on the last point. And I never said it'd be easy, hmm? Just thought I'd extend an offer," Celaeno says, her demeanor cooling in contrast to the oppressive heat all around. "But, you're dodging the question, my good sir! Have you been doing well, or not?" her grin returns at this last statement.

Not a bad time for dipping into the park, Vixen striding along a path steadily. Her expression is relaxed as she gazes about, taking in this and that passing person with casual interest. A light smile comes to her despite the heat, only slowly coming to notice that Leo is here. A broad grin coming to her as she starts in his direction at once, noticing Cel as she starts to approach. "What's the good word, chick?" Offered to Cel once she gets to a comfy hailing distance, still closing in on the guy, a hand extending towards him at once.

"Yes, I've been doing well." Leonard finally answers, a slight smile returning to his lips in the process. It then widens as a voice announces another presence, and his attention turns. "You're supposed to be resting, Vix. Are you feeling better?" His tone is only mildly chiding, her hand caught in his own.

Celaeno turns, eyebrows raised at the approaching Vixen, a small wave given as she re-settles herself. "No words over here, girlie," she responds merrily, sliding into a more easygoing stance. "Just talking a bunch of nothing, really. And I'm glad things've been going pretty well for you," she finishes in an aside, rocking back on her heels.

"I was sleeping half the day, Leo," Vixen murmurs, "If I wasn't feeling better, I'd think something major was wrong." She grins idly, giving his hand a squeeze, but for now leaving him without her hanging on. A bit too hot for that right now. She looks to Cel and smiles lightly. "Things have been pretty damn sweet. Even if my head's still a little tender." She considers Cel and then asks, "Nothing going on with you? I wonder about that sometimes.. see you around a bit, sometimes wonder what you got going on.. everyone has something they've got going on. Or wish they did."

Leonard takes the liberty of answering Vixen's query, on Cel's behalf, "She's planning a hunt, it seems, or just hoping to pick a fight. I'm hoping to dissuade her, as I believe it involves a dancing deer."

Celaeno offers up a mischievous grin to Vixen at the inquiry, expounding a bit more mundanely on Leonard's comment, "I come, I go. I drift from place to place and try to enjoy myself when I do," she answers warmly before bringing both arms up in an overly-dramatic gesture, "At least when, as your lad here says, I'm not picking fights with dragons, or taking on prototype Coalition skelebots, that is," she says with a chuckle and closing flourish, leaving her sincerity somewhat in question. "But really, I'm doin' alright. Lots of small things that're of no interest to anybody cropping up and gettin' cared for constantly," she finishes with a contented grin and satisfied laugh.

"Dragons, huh?" Vixen considers Cel, then glances at Leo. "I hope you don't mean to go after who I'm thinking of, cause he ain't no more than a kid. A little nutty, but he just needs to learn like all kids do." She looks towards Cel again then and considers her. "Usually what's interesting depends. Got some little things in mind?"

"Rather than a brawl," Leonard suggests to Cel, "perhaps you could attempt babysitting? It may well have a more meaningful effect, although I can't say that it would be the easier alternative." He even delivers it with an almost entirely straight face. "It would certainly qualify as interesting."

Celaeno slides her hands underneath her belt for a moment, using it as a pocket substitute before fixing her gaze up through the leaves of the tree, peering indirectly at the sky. "I'd sincerely doubt you'd know the brute," she says, still peering, "He lives quite a ways outside of town, and - well, if you knew what sort of things he's been up to, I sincerely doubt 'nutty' would be the word you'd use to describe him." Her gaze dropping again to the two, "And he's a bit older than a baby, really, so I think if I were to try to babysit him, it'd probably turn into a brawl anyways. You know how adolescents get." She leaves the topic of her other doings be, for the moment.

"Then tell me a story," Vixen murmurs. "You must be talking about some other critter. Not that I'm too keen about trying to go after some dragon.. way I hear it, you don't just go after one of them unless you got an army in your pocket. Ain't much for the frontline, me. Got my tricks, but most tend to be distraction."

Leonard's initial presumption appears invalid, and his demeanor softens to a more earnest smile. "Ah. I would still argue against such an attempt without that pocketful of backup, but you were making invitations, afterall. Now I'm curious how you happened to run afoul of a dragon, myself." His initial guarded reluctance is now falling to curiosity.

Celaeno's hands come out of her pockets for a moment, folding idly as she looks over the two. Shrug, "As I said before, you know, I'm not expecting it to be all that easy, really. Plenty can go wrong, and young or no, it's still a dragon," she equivocates. "And a story, well, I'll suffice it to say that the bastard's taken a decidedly unfortunate interest in sacrificing things," the words are said mirthlessly, bemused. "And my own particular beef with him, well, that's certainly not worth getting into in the least. But if I'm going to be going toe to toe, well, there are a few things I'm going to avail myself of when we do."

"LIke what?" Vixen's casual question, considering what she's heard for a moment before she adds, "Don't sound like no friendly critter. I guess if that's what's up, best to do something about it.. I'd offer to help, but don't sound like my kinda gig. Got nothing wrong with a fight, but I ain't one to leap in over my head."

"That is quite the leap, but I'm willing to assist however I can." Leonard has no qualms with making a difference and benefitting himself at the same time. "I'm not sure how much assistance I could be, other than to suggest you bring very large weapons, or a great deal of magical might. Combat is not my strongest venue."

"It's not," Celaeno says to the speculation on the dragon's congeniality. "Just thought, since the topic came up, I'd try to get you two to fully comprehend the worthiness of the cause. If you're up for it," she begins, eyeing Leonard, "then the company's appreciated. If not, well, if you know anybody who is, point 'em my direction, because whether or not I come back, I'm definitely going to be going out, one way or the other. I've a few tricks, myself to even the field a bit, but it's still a bloody great lizard." The gaze settles on Vixen again for a moment, "Oh, you know. The standard things: whatever it happens to have on it at the time, a few magical items, whatever ill-gotten goods it's managed to hoard."

Things being early yet for dinner Tirzah strolls into the park casually to burn some of the aternoon away. Across her back a large leather satchel takes a bit away from her white gown but she bears it indifferently. Walking along the path she spots some friends and starts her approach.

Vixen becomes thoughtful at the mention of trinkets. She likes those. She glances towards Leo, letting that thoughtfulness linger. "We should talk about it, I think," she murmurs to him. "It seems a good thing to talk over." The back to Cel, she offers, "If its doing badly, then there ain't no real question about the worthiness. Just glad you're not talking about the kid."

A lone man, covered in overalls and carrying a couple of scrolls and a bunch of sheets of paper come into the Park. His eyes are a little squinted, like the light is hurting his eyes. A pair of goggles are on his head. His trademark bomber jacket not to be seen. A pencil is tucked behind his ear, and wobbles a bit as he walks. He is having some trouble trying to balance everything in his hands, and mumbling softly to himself.

Leonard arches a brow at Vixen, his attention pulled back to her with her sudden interest. "I suppose we should. You look like you're already planning another shopping spree." Her hand gets a squeeze despite the tease as he nods to Cel. "We'll consider it. Some forethought is definitely a wise idea in this circumstance, and I'll keep others in mind for your lizard-catching."

"Don't even know what 'kid,' you're talking about," Celaeno says, flashing a pearly white smile. "But, I do only want you along if you think you'll be of help, and feel up for it. I', not giving any promises of a great payoff, since it's all dependent on whatever he might have laying around. And then there's the matter of contributing, but, hey, that's for another time, hmm?" She gives one more big spin to get some of the stale air moving. "For now, I think I'll let you two think. Have a good one," she says, smiling to herself as she turns to head toward the south edge of the park, giving a single wave.

Arriving to join Vixen and Leonard just after Celaeno took off Tirzah shrugs at having missed her slightly. Offering a half hearted wave to her back. "Good afternoon." She greets the pair, her tone friendly enough though her expression is held back. Looking to Vixen she appears to be considering how to say something.

Vixen smirks as she reaches out her free hand to lightly jab Leo in the shoulder. "I do wanna get another of these bodysuits. Black is nice, but something with a little more.. flavor might be nice, you know?" Her hand lifts, lightly rubbing across the clingy material across her middle. "But you can't break the bank, man. Always have to have reserves." She then gives Cel a wave as the woman goes off, thoughtful. Tirzah's approach breaks that and she looks towards the other woman with a grin. "Hey there, chick, what's going on?" There's a pause before she wonders, "Something bad?"

Renos looks up to the sky, and shields his eyes with the notes in his hand. Looking around at the people, and the places, in the park, he gives a bit of a wave to Tir, bvut notices she is busy. His feet begint o move near a park bench instead, and then he brushes it off and sits down.

Leonard's eyes shift from Celaeno's departure to Vixen's hand upon her new suit. "They aren't /that/ expensive, I'd hope. There isn't much to it, afterall." Then there is Tirzah's arrival, to which he's slow to respond to, distracted as he is. It is not until several moments after Vixen's address that he looks to Tirzah and her reserved expression. "What is wrong?"

Tirzah shrugs, looking a bit undecided on whether things are bad or not. "I went to help the refugee with the gardens like you suggested and got the cold shoulder." She pauses to let that take as she notices Renos' wave. Turning slightly she returns the wave with a warm smile. But it fades as she turns back to Vixen. "Actually I got accused of meddling, like I was interfering. This is leading me to question my support." She explains to Vixen with a slight sigh.

"You probably didn't ask first.. or at least, not more than when we went to see them together," Vixen replies to Tirzah. "They're still pretty careful of people Gotta talk it over with them first. Bring the details, lay it out.. with Emily mostly. Once she has the full measure of it, she'll likely be cool with it, I think." She glances towards Renos,t hen back to Tirzah. "Hard to get used to how they are, but once you do its alright. You look like the sort that's used to doing more used to doing, rather than asking permission too often. Just a matter of learning how some people work and going with their flow."

Burying his head, sort of, in his notes, Renos unrolls one of the scrolls and begins to search his pockets for something. He then blinks and then reaches up to the side of his head, and takes down the pencil off of his ear. His eyes remain on the page as he starts to study the symbols on the page. "Always hated this part...never was that smart."

Shaking her head Tirzah doesn't look quite satisfied with that. "Why? Why do I have to jump through hoops to help them? Caution and suspicion only go so far before you start isolating yourself from others. And that's the impression I'm getting. I don't want to help that. I want to help people that will help others in turn openly. Not hoard themselves into a whole rigid with paranoia. Am I exaggerating? Are they? Perhaps both. But she was there, she could have asked for the details to be laid out. Instead I got told to leave like I was some nuisance."

"I don't know their plans for the future," Vixen admits openly. "I'm helping them because, no matter what, its best for everyone, even if they do close ranks. Cause if no one does, it causes problems for everyone. Growing problems everytime even more of them show up." Her shoulders roll lightly. "And even if they plan to be closed at first, things change. Being a stranger in a strange land, its natural to want to keep your cards close until you manage to secure yourself a place. Might be they open up more once they're settled and don't have to worry day to day about eating and surviving disease. Dunno if you've ever been there before, but I know a bit of it. So I understand it in some ways."

Renos pauses a moment and then looks up at some of the conversation that seems to drift his way. His face gets a bit of a puzzled look, like not all of the converation did he hear. He then gives a bit of a shrug, and then turns back to the work. After a moment, though, he is looking up at the sky, and smiling lightly. His eyes, if they could be seen, would have a faraway look to them.

Tirzah shrugs and gives an accepting nod. "Alright, maybe they will. I'm not going anywhere so I can wait to see. But I'm not going to be stepping in so long as that impression of me or anyone else is assumed without cause." She decides, her expression indicating her outgoing side does have limits. "The items I mentioned before are still going to be made though, seeing as spent so much, maybe I'll go to the hospital with them at first. Making more will be less expensive than the first after all. So I'm going to step back, give them space, until they feel more secure."

"That's the wrong response," Vixen notes. "Offer to help. then turn away and they'll move on without you. That's their plan, to move ahead with what they have, without begging for anything from anyone. You want to get in with them, go talk to Emily before doing. You want to be in, you have to get in. Sit on the sidelines and you'll stay there. The right thing is real simple, like I just told you. Ain't nothing holding you back except coordinating first, then acting. I didn't exactly tell you to go and just do. I thought you understood you had to run it by Emily before doing, like I did when you came along."

Renos looks up for a moment, scratching at the side of his head, as if pondering something. "Hrm...well, its dragonese, partly. BUt then there is this other part..." He then reaches into his pocket, and pulls out a pocket computer. He then sits it to the side of the notes. "OR is it one of those I haven't come across? Healing isn't my normal thing, and it could be a concept icon I haven't run across yet."

Tirzah smirks and shakes her head. "As things are I don't want to be in. That accusation and the tone behind it was nothing short of insulting. I have no wish for them to beg. But there's a great deal of distance between begging and insulting. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a date." She says, pointing to the distracted Renos with a slight nod. "That's your choice. I'd like to have you in, but you gotta be willing to compromise. If you aren't, then I guess you have to do what you have to do." Vixen smirks and turns. "Kinda funny, but it seems people just ain't willing to do the easy thing to keep it nice and simple. Too much pride, maybe. But you got the way to get things done laid out ahead of you. You'll find a lot of people are going to respond to you like that in the Dregs. Best you learn how to deal with 'em now, than later." She starts to go, following after Leo's prior retreat.

Renos then looks up as the two seem to be walking apart, and he just watches the two of them a moment. A slightly puzzled look on his face, eyes squinted because of the nice bright day. "Hrm..." He then reaches down to get his recorder. "Note to self, make screen shield for sunlight viewing. Maybe mylar, or some other shading material." He then clicks it off and puts it down on his left.

Walking over to Renos Tirzah looks him over once more, a sneer forming at the coveralls. "I do hope you're not intending to wear that to dinner.." She opens, reminding the technowizard of the invitation he made last time.
