Jul 26 08:09:33 106 PA - Stag Party
From Chronicles
The Stag awwws softly as Maya takes off "Damn, she looked like she'd be fun to hang out with for a while." there's a slight dip to it's head before it perks up again "Oh well!" And goes right on back to 'dancing' on the floor. For those just arrived, there's quite the spectacle on the dance floor at the moment, a large ivory white stag is 'dancing' on the dance floor, though there's a few ntoable tell tales that may well give away the identity of the creature to those that know the culprit. Of course some of the crowd are still somewhat stuned or awed by the creature's presence, for it is a beatiful animal indeed. Others are freaked out by how it's talking, but since it hasnt attacked anyone and instead just goofed around and pranked on others most are gettng slowly used to it's presence. Clop.. clopclopclopity clop clop go it's hoofed feet uppon the dance floor, though it's still looking more like it's staggering around drunk than dancing properly.
Jaxain, who still can't fathom the presense of such a creature in a nightclub, smiles at Maya's departing back as she leaves before turning back to the majestic beast on the dance floor. Surely this can't be real? And it does seem to be talking. Shrugging, Jax decides the matter is over his head, and as it doesn't seem to be hurting anyone there is no harm in it. Surveying the crowd, his face lights up upon seeing two familiar forms. "Vix! Leo!" He says, moving towards them. "Hey, how you guys been?" Jax himself has been all but absent these last few months, seen only now and then buying suplies for the road.
Vixen comes into the Alibi with Leo, though her arm wrap abut his own is left off as she starts removing items. The big pistol, the grenades, the whip and something else she slips from one sleeve to hand over with all the rest. But once she starts to move in, she notices the.. stag? "Leo.." She pauses, looking back towards him. Remembering that time at the Nut and Bolt.. and other incidents. "Is that..?" The pause not just because Jax heads their way, but she does look towards him, her brow furrowing slightly. "Been fine," she replies.
Blinking is a common theme for Leonard tonight, and a dancing white stag is easily on his list of things that he does not expect to find at the Alibi. "I do hope so..." He has nothing on his person in the way of weapons, but patiently awaits Vixen's disarmament. "Good day." The greeting is offered to Jaxain in pleasant response.
Being alone on the road is hard on any man, and on a mostly social animal like Jax it is even worse. The somber but pleasant responses given are taken by the enuthusiastic man as a warm greeting an invitation. "Cumon, I got the first round." he says as he moves behind the pair, nudging them gently towards the bar. "You guys seen the stag? I came in here, right, my first thought, "Woah! Fresh venison!", right?" He says with a warm laugh.
Vixen looks towards Leo, then gives her shoulders a slight roll and will start to follow Jax. "I think that one would be more likely to try and ear you," she opines with a casual hint of humor in her voice. She'll wrap her arms around one of Leo's again for the trip. "So that walrus.. that was him?" This asked of Leo, her brows lifted slightly.
"Shake your bootaaayyyhh." The sag sings horribly, not off key at least, but he clearly cant sing to any real tune. "Shake your Booootaaayyyhhh.. Yeah!" the pitch perfect the form.. well.. about as good as one can expect from a stag of all things. Each time it shakes it's rear in an attempt to get it to match up with the rythm. That part it actually does fairly well, for it's a creature that can move with a fair bit of grace dispite it's.. lack of experience. The stag's royal blue tail wiggling slightly as it bobs it's head and 'dances' to the music playing. The creature's still active psionics soaking in the mood of the club, and so far at least it's remained fairly positive.
"Yes," Leonard chuckles as they step for the bar, "although I didn't remain for the aftermath. Tirzah was ...displeased, and so I expect that he received quite the talking to. That wasn't something I wanted to be present for."
Jaxain orders a round of drinks for the trio, every now and then checking on the strange sight of the majestic stag on the dancefloor. "Wait, you know that thing? What is it?" He asks of the couple.
"You know.. someone that can turn into shit.. that's pretty useful," Vixen murmurs to Leo, leaning into him a bit to share that observation. At the bar, she lets go of Leo to turn her back to the bar itself. A strawberry tequila will be what she's having, straight. Jax's question gets a glance from her, she looking towards Leo a moment before she offers. "Yeah.. it's someone that likes to play tricks. I suppose if you see some critter where you least expect it, that's probably him."
The stag continues to 'dance the night away' and at least seems to be enjoying himself, all the more so as the center of attention. Now and then he'll crack a joke with some one or otherwise socialize and the more he does so the more people get used to his presence untill it's only really a shock to those who just got in. Even then his presence is just.. impossible to miss. There's also no doubt to be left that it's entirely intentional too. Clop clop clop.. shake shake shake.
Leonard is a lightweight and/or an afficianado, as the house wine is his preference. "You do have a valid point, there. I wonder if he'd wish to assist me in those Guild matters..." His initial response is to Vixen, although his focus is drawn across the club to the one who went to the dance stag. A chuckle is loosed and Leonard now takes his glass and lifts it to Jaxain in acknowledgement and gratitude. "He does have a ...unique sense of humor. Of the forms I've seen, this is one of the more interesting that can actually fit through a doorway."
Smiling at the pair, Jax says, "Ok, I'm gonna go make my rounds now, there are a lot of faces here I haven't seen in a few months. God it's good to be back it a city!" He moves away from the bar then, towards another group of people who raise thier drinks in greeting to his arrival.
Vixen arches a brow slightly at Jax's departure, glancing after him a moment before she shakes her head a little and looks to Leo, taking up her glass when it comes to lean a little closer against him. "I know a little about disguise.. maybe I could show him some ropes.. give him something to do other than turning into animals. Though he'd be able to do a lot more with it than me, you know? I can mess with make up.. clothes and such. But he can do more."
It's at this point that the Stag most certainly confirms it's identity as it spots Leo and Vix, heading right for them with a certian determination about himself. "Scuse me! Parrrtayyhh animal comming THRU!" prance, prance, shake, prance. Ever nearer he draws, calling attention to his approach with much gusto and enthusiasm untill he finally gets within conversational range of Vixen and Leoard. It's to the latter he looks to first however "Hey bestest buddy!" the all too familar voice says before looking to Vixen "And hey oh great crappy fun killer."
"He does go a bit beyond clothing," Leonard glances to the dancing deer... that now approaches and greets. He can't help but grin. "Hello, Sarik. Have you attempted something feline, yet? She /is/ quite fond of cats, even if you think she kills fun." He doesn't quite agree, nor deny the claim, but his mirth is doing its own bit of dancing in the eyes that glance to Vixen.
Vixen smirks faintly as she eyes Sarik. "We just got different ideas of fun, man," she replies, eyeing Leo. "But what you can do.. maybe I can give you a few pointers. Dunno much about changing like you do, but one thing I know about is making myself look different. Could give you a few pointers. Maybe show you a little subtlety." Her tone discreet, glass lifted after for a light sip as she considers the stag.
"Cat? Pshhh Cats are prissy small and totally -lame-." Sarik retorts, the stag giving his head a slight shake "Show me one that's actually big and fierce and maybe I'd consider it..." he pauses then reminding himself of the little encountered Desmond "Well.. ok the talking ones are kinda cool but thats it." he admits. "The rest are totally lame." he asserts once more with a slight stomp of a hoof. At the mention of 'pointers' for changing he simply snorts "Oh please, I'm like.. totally perfect at transforming and stuff! I mean check this this out!" he says, 'posing' "I'm like.. totally awesome right now!" another pose is struck, the stag equivilant of 'flexing'.
Leonard shakes his head slightly in mirth rather than denial. "You are very ...herbivorous, yes. I do believe that you could benefit from some suggestions of subtlety, however, if you were interested. Personally, I preferred the dog. Friendly, subtle, and it can fit through most openings you might encounter. Also, she's quite capable of fun when she wishes to be." Another glance to Vixen, with less wry mirth and more apology in his smile. It is brief, however, and he looks back to the deer friend with a question. "What manner of fun are you seeking, other than dancing?"
"Yeah, that's a pretty good one right there," Vixen replies. Cause really, it does look good. "But you know.. you could make some cred.. and have fun doing subtle things." She sets her glass on the counter and straightens, moving forward a little towards Sarik. "Like, the shape you take when you're being human? It's good, but its 'too good'," she suggests. "Gets a lot of attention.. good sometimes, but sometimes you might want to be subtle. Might be able to show you ways to tone it down. Or even ways to spice it up."
"Yeeaahhh but see like everyone was complaining and being mean to me bout being all 'scaaaarry' and joy killer here.." Sarik says with a toss of his head in Vixen's direction "Was all like nooooo you cant threaten to eat people. You shouldnt do this, or that or have like.. any fun at alll! So now I do this stuff instead cause it's still fun!" he seems ever so pleased with himself at that part of course. "And what do I need cred for anyway? Thats for lesser creatures and things to worry bout I just do what I want cause thats alot more fun!"
"I wouldn't dismiss credits completely, Sarik." Leonard takes a pull from his glass. Just a casual conversation with the dancing stag... and to think that most must drink much, much more to enjoy such a thing. "They can be exchanged for knowledge, including training in magical arts and invocations. While I'm sure that you could do so on your own with some practice, that same trial and error can be rather boring." His suggestion is completely earnest, as his recent studies are fresh in mind. This time, he leaves the rebuttal entirely in the capable hands of the fun-killer.
"Credits work for everyone, man," Vixen replies simply. "Unless you don't want nothing at all. Maybe you don't know you want it now, but when you do, you'll have some. Besides, making it can be fun. Ever seen any spy shows? Read any books about that kinda stuff?"
Sarik tilts his head at Vixen after listening to Leonard explain his view, the stag simply shaking it's head. By this point he's settled down some, sitting abit like a dog at the table. Or maybe a very large cat. He's not in a form that lends too well to it but he still manages it some how. "What's a spy? And I cant read your book thingies right now." he admits. "Besides there's too many interesting things to look at right now! Like.. I found this one place out in the woods that's all like.. super creepy and stuff! It's neat!"
Leonard arches a brow at the colorful description of the outdoors, but is uncertain whether to ask. "Spy?" Instead, it's Vixen he asks, somewhat confused, himself. In lieu of anything more than a curious glance, he takes a long swallow from his wineglass. Regardless of anything else, he expects that this conversation should be interesting.
"Spys are guys that sneak into places and find things.. like information and secrets," Vixen replies. "It's a challenge.. can be dangerous too. You'd be a good spy.. with some training. Maybe I could show you some vids I have later. They're pretty cool. Spies get to use lots of neat gadgets too, sometimes. Like some glasses I got that let me see in the dark, though that's a minor one."
"Bah, technology is over rated I say. Magic is -totally- where it's at!" Sarik retorts to the idea of using 'gadgets' "Unless they were like.. magical gadget things. Then their totally cool!" The 'stag' slowly works his way back up to his feet before giving a slight snort "Anyway, I gotta like.. run and stuff cause otherwise I'll turn into a pumpkin. Kay thanx bai!" and with that he's suddenly up and trotting off after the next goal in his young mind. There's only so long he can stand a 'serious' discussion at times, but then he's still quite young.
"I would tend to agree, but..." That's as much as Leonard gets out before the stag prances away. He returns his attention to Vixen, consuming the remainder of his glass before speaking. "So, what do you think of our night out so far?"
"I think I need to think about some means to get him hook on spys," Vixen murmurs, turning back towards Leo. She grins a little and reaches out to lightly pass a hand along his arm. "But we won't worry about that tonight." She smiles and snags her glass. "What'd you wanna do, Leo?" Her eyes lingering on him as she lifts the glass to sip her drink.
Leonard chuckles as he returns his empty to the bar. "You already have a plan hatching, don't you? For him, that is." His now empty hand gestures towards the door, then the dancefloor. "My intentions may be far more insidious. As he did clear some of the dancefloor with his antics, I was thinking to invite you out there. After a tail-shaking stag, I doubt anyone would pay much attention to our flailing about."
"Not specific, but for the moment I'm thinking getting him ready might not be a bad idea," Vixen murmurs. "And I know his type.. just have to get in touch with what he thinks is cool, cause that's what will hook him." She grins as she lifts her glass to swallow the rest of her drink before taking a step back, her hands extended towards him. "Lets give it a try."
Leonard wastes no time in taking the offered hand and escorting her (with a tug or three) to the dancefloor, grinning all the while. "You do have a way with people, Vix. Any requests?" The music is still DJed, as the evening's live acts have yet to start. Now that he has her out here, he can, at least, attempt to cater to her whims.
"Let's just work with what we got," Vixen murmurs when they get there. The music isn't too rapid, but isn't slow either. She seems unsure for a moment just how to move with it, but after a moment she takes Leo's hands, one each with hers, and sways a little in time with the beat of the music. A little shoulder action and hip action mixed together.
Leonard is no expert upon the floor, and given the circumstances, wouldn't attempt to offer any opinionated advice even if he were. Vixen is actually on the dancefloor with him, and willingly. "You've much more to work with than I." A smiling compliment as he takes his own cues from her and the music, joining in the simple sway while keeping hold of her hands.
"Yeah, well, that don't count for a lot if you don't got the rhythm," Vixen replies with a casual amusement. The two are linked by both hands, approximating a simple, none too difficult sort of swaying dance step to keep up with the peppy, but not too quick music of the moment. "But you're right, we can't be more of a draw of attention than the deer." A light smirk touching her lips as they do their thing on the dancefloor.
Ema finds herself in the Alibi this evening more out of convenience than anything else, the clear plastic bag she holds in her hand contains blue cloth of some kind, scrubs, perhaps? Her entrance is quick and practiced, her one mechanical pistol given up as she allows herself to be frisked, and then its off to a table off to the side. It doesn't take long for her to flag down a waitress, and a short exchange later finds her alone, where she puts her head down on the table, supported by her crossed arms.
"I'll try not to make you look bad," Leonard offers in matched amusement, "but I don't think that's possible, stag or no." The music and movement is a secondary concern at the moment, but he appears to succeed surprisingly well. Perhaps the lack of focused attention on what he's doing is a benefit. "You should shop more often, or was it the cloistering in the apartment that made you so daring?"
Vixen laughs lightly. "The you wasn't 'you', Leo. Just in general.. I got looks, sure. But I'm better at making music, not dancing to it," she murmurs with a casual grin. "And I think it was being closed up. But my head should be fine now, so I just had to get out." She continues to do a simple, but decently paced swaying step, complete with hips and shoulders shifting. <OOC> Leonard tapes Ema down.
Three shots arive for Ema, and she pays for them quickly before lifting one and shooting it down, the glass slamming down, wobbling on the table even as the second glass is raised to her lips. The second follows the first, and the third is down shortly after that. The bar apprently isn't what Ema was looking for, and very quickly she's on her feet, and headed for the door. <OOC> Vixen muses.
Leonard's smile only widens at his dance partner, both at her laugh and the fact that he steps in closer with the next beat. Neither makes him lose his footing nor tempo. "You might not be bouncing or flailing around, but you're doing just fine, in my expert opinion."
Vixen smirks a little and gives her head a little shake. "Oh, c'mon, Leo. I think I'll need another drink in me to do much more of this," she chuckles, releasing one of his hands, but keeping the other as she turns to start back towards the bar. And as she's turning to tug him along, chance brings her attention towards Ema. Picking the other woman out. There's a pause before she calls out, "Hey, Ema!" Her free hand lifted to wave towards her. Why? Who can say?
Ema's head turns to look over her shoulder as her name is called, coiled hair bouncing, obscuring her face as her eyes find the source of the call. She's remarkably good at hiding her shock, thats for sure, with only the slightest widening of her eyes telegraphing her surprise. "Yes?" She asks tentatively, eyes taking in the new Vixen.
Leonard, however, is not so good concealing the effects of the unexpected. Vixen's turn from the floor was not a stretch of the imagination, but her waving and calling easily adds another set or two of blinks to his evening. He follows her gaze to Ema and offers a belated wave, smile and greeting. "Evening, Ema."
Vixen approaches Ema, weaving a bit through the folk between them. "Leaving already? Either you were hiding before or you ain't been here that long," she says. "Or do you got things you're off to do?" Her brows lift slightly and, for now, she doesn't glance back towards Leo, though she keeps the hand.
Ema offers a wave Leo's way, and strangely awkward jesture as she is looking a tad uncertain for a moment, eyes moving back towards Vixen, "I just sorta stopped in for a drink, didn't really see much going on, so I was thinking of moving on." A flicker in her eyes towards Leo, the smallest hint of an arched eyebrow, "Nice coat," she offers up, "You've had a bit of a make over, huh?"
"What do you think?" Behind every woman, there is a man being drug along, as Leonard makes example of. His inquiry of Ema's opinion in earnest enough, but he falls quiet afterwords to allow the ladies their moment. What form the moment might take, he has no idea.
"The coat isn't really comfy in the summer," Vixen replies. "Got some new toys too, so it was time for a little something new." She grins lightly. "Hey, check these out." She slips a hand to her side, drawing out what looks, at a glance, like a pair of sunglasses of modern styling, with a bit of thickness to the frames. "Passive nightvision in these. Ain't that a trip?" She offers over the glasses to be inspected, if so desired. "
Ema is a bit off her guard, that's for sure, but she takes the offered glasses in her hand anyway, holding them up to her eyes as she looks around the club. She seems to about to say something, mouth opening and lips parting, but then doesn't as she hands the glasses back, buying herself a few seconds, "Very nice," she says simply, "Seems everyone I know has been on a bit of a spending spree lately, makes me wonder if there is something coming that I should be aware of." she smirks, flagging down a passing waitress and ordering herself a drink, as it appears she's not leaving quite yet.
Leonard release a chuckle with the breath that he didn't realize he'd held. "If it's any consolation, I missed out on the windfall, myself. There is, however, something coming, if you're interested. Several somethings, actually. Our mysterious and mutual robed friend is howling for wolves once more, and I have another project in that same general direction, as well." His head turns to Vixen with his own bemused smirk. "With any luck, the rest of us can all go on spending sprees in the near future."
"I'd think a chick like you would be all about the age old truth. Best to prepare before trouble comes knocking." Vixen grins lightly as she takes back the glasses, slipping them back into the pouch she extracted them from. And as Leo starts working his own business angle, she turns a little, to glance towards him, opening up the talk a bit more with her posture.
"Well I wouldn't call him a friend, thats for sure, but I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, as the saying goes." She looks over to Vixen briefly before tilting her head to the side and cracking her neck, the movement familiar to any who've spent time with her, "But yeah, I'm down for something. You have any specifics, or is he being just as vague as last time?"
"So far," Leonard rotates his smirk to Ema, and it becomes somewhat less amused, "he's as vague as ever, but I'll be certain to acquire all the details before any planning. My other venture isn't much different, oddly enough. Apparently, I'm the one to contact when one needs a wayward cargo vehicle located and returned. I'll inform you of more once I have it to offer. How have you occupied yourself in the interim?" The smirk diminishes to a pleasant smile, and Vixen's hand receives a mild squeeze. Opened conversation and business do not mean that he's forgotten her presence. "I'll be going along on the cargo grab," Vixen notes, glancing towards Leo with a little smile. Then back to Ema as she adds, "The guy sounds a bit shifty, but he paid out last time, right? Track record is good.. though I never saw this guy that Leo's been working for."
"I suppose, though I'm very sure the people we jumped weren't Coalition, and he's totally not a human, though pretends to be." she shrugs, "But hey, if you have no issues working with him, then who am I to compalain, a paycheck is a paycheck, and I've a need. Guess I should start shopping around, at any rate, believe it or not, most of my weapons aren't geared to obliterate things, like everyone elses seemed to be. I felt pretty underpowered, last time." she shrugs, scooping a drink from the waitress as she comes back, "Ah well, welcome aboard, I suppose."
Leonard nods to Vixen, now. "His payment was never really in question, just his underlying goals. They will most likely remain his own, as he dislikes too much curiosity beyond what is necessary to know." A return of his wry smirk as he looks back to Ema. "I /might/ have scorched one slightly on the last trip, so I can comiserate. That is probably something I should look into beforehand, also."
Vixen considers Leo's description of the guy. "Sounds like your typical merc job. Results, no questions asked. Though I do like to know a bit about what I'm doing for." She considers Leo thoughtfully on that before she looks to Ema and grins. "Wilks makes some good gear. Pistols and rifles," Vixen opines to Ema. "They even managed to put lasers into grenades. Nice comm gear, sensors and other stuff too, depending on what you think you're missing."
"Yeah, I've got on of their sniper models, and it does the job, I guess I need to look into something more variable. I like things nice and quiet though, and if I don't have to be super close, all the better. High damage output is really what I don't have, as it's very hard to take a bounty on an ashpile." Ema takes a long drink from her glass, her cheeks becoming a bit rosy as time moves on, "But yes, my general rule of thumb is that once i've accepted a job, the client is always right. The less I know, usually the better.'
Leonard's glance moves between the ladies as they talk tech, then turns to flag down a waitress. "I thought that I might be concerned of Norwick's secrecy, initially, but you're both right that there's no reason to press that particular issue." Once a server's at hand, he requests fresh drinks for the three of them. "As far as weapons are concerned, I'm beginning to believe that I'd be more effective bringing a few handfuls of rocks to throw at them."
Vixen seems to stick with the tech talk for the moment. "If you want a manstopper, the NG-45PL is pretty good. A bit heavy on the power drain, but hits hard. But if you still like silent, Wilks has some pretty strong pulse lasers, from what I've heard. Been considering getting one of those.. a bit more life to it in a fight, not that I don't love my little hand cannon." She grins idly. She looks towards Leo. "That laser grenade, though. That sounds like it would be good in a heavy fight. The info said the bigger the target, the more damage it does to it. That's something I can get behind."
"My issue is, most of the time, is that I want something small and sleek, so that, should I need to get away in a hurry, I don't have to ditch it. I tend to steer myself more towards situations where going unnoticed is better, and only whipping out guns if i have too. Once shooting starts, the situation becomes a lot more serious." she shrugs, finishing her drink and placing it on the tray of a passing waitress, "Still, I guess having something that packs a punch does have its situational uses."
"I have a Wilks rifle," Leonard rolls his shoulders, "and the bigger the target the better, if I want to actually hit it. Of course, the goal will, most likely, be to avoid blowing the vehicles into unrecognizable pieces." He muses softly as he looks between them both once more, and a smirk returns. "Perhaps my toting around a potent piece of hardware is not the best of ideas."
"Then stick with Wilks," Vixen replies to Ema. "Small and light is what they do best. And their pistols still hit pretty good, the pulse ones. Them people at the Gunnery will do better with the specifics, though." She then grins at Leo. "You're getting better at tossing, babe. I think, now that we got those light grenades in, we'll graduate you to practicing with them. Get you used to tossing that sort of thing around."
"Great, thats just what I need, worrying about Leo tossing a live grenade at our feet." Ema smirks, "Maybe we should start with baby steps, his rock throwing sounded good to me."
Leonard breaks into a laugh and nudges Vixen. "Apparently I'm not the only one worried of detonating myself or someone nearby. Then again, you're refering to the ...blinders, yes? They are nonlethal, other than the fact that incapacitating myself or allies is generally unwise." His shoulders roll once more, and his reply delayed slightly by the arrival of the replacement drinks. After taking his, he notes, "A supporting role making use of my better talents seems the better choice."
Vixen smirks a little as she looks to Ema. "Don't worry, he's not done training yet," she replies. "Though he can stick a knife in a target at fifteen feet more than half the time now." She glances towards him, giving a casual little grin. "The other half still bounce." She nods to him then and says, "Blinders. They'll be good for practice, with no one getting hurt." She looks back to Ema.
A brief, exaggerated shudder rocks Ema's upper body, a tease, "Yeah, maybe he should stick to the voodoo magic stuff he does, Hmms? Leave the real fighting to the professionals?" She winks, holding her eye shut as the tip of her tongue peeks out from between her lips, "I think there would need to be a lot more practice before I felt safe being in front of him when he tosses a dagger, I know it's a skill that took me a while to master, and I'm exceptional!" She may be a bit drunk, but her tone is light and her jests obvious.
"I'm in no hurry to start tossing any sort of grenades about," Leonard explains to both, "or much of anything, outside of practice. Yes, I'll stick with my 'voodoo magic stuff.' I'm flattered that you have faith in that, at least." A light tease in kind to Ema with his last, even if he is sober. "Someday, eventually, you'll mold me into a blademaster of throwing death, Vix."
"He shouldn't have to toss knives too much. "Vixen replies. "Mostly I'm wanting him to be able to toss a few grenades. They're too versatile to not use. Not just ones that blow shit up, but a well placed flashbang or smoke grenade can help things." She smirks at Leo then. "I'd be more likely to train you in being a whip master."
"I've thrown down with a few magic users in my day, and more than one of them had access to magicy flashbangs," she wiggles the fingers of her right hand as if for emphasis, "Though I guess you want to be prepared, huh, its easy enough to stop you from talkin, then I guess you'd be up a creek?" Her eyes move over to Leo as she shrugs, "I guess bettering yourself is always a good plan, at any rate," eyes flicker over to Vix, eyebrows arching as her lips part, "That could have its uses, I guess..." she ventures.'
Leonard's brows arch, as well, his gaze turning fully to Vixen. "I should leave the whipping in your talented hands, as it would be less dangerous to me. I hope." A quick wink and then a more somber nod to Ema. "There is fallability in everything, and one can only carry and use so many weapons or tools, no matter their nature. A good reason for self-improvement, as you said, also."
Vixen looks to Ema. "What, the whip? It has some uses when you get to know how it works. Though I mostly practice with it to help me think. You have to focus on it to make it snap where you want it to snap." She then looks to Leo and grins lightly. "You do get stung a few times when you're learning, but that just teaches you not to do what causes you to get stung. Or you just give up if you can't take it."
"Some people like that though, I hear?" Ema says, cheeks reddening a bit, "But I guess my mind is wandering elsewhere, at this point, so I'll try not to derail the conversation." She looks around, smirking to herself a momenet, eyes blinking, "I guess anything though, in the right hands, can be effective, and dangerous when used by a novice. Their are pains whenever you learn a new skill like that, I think."
"I've heard that, too," Leonard gives Vixen a sidelong grin, "which is why I try to stay well out of range, and on everyone's good side, when it's uncoiled. I think I've been stung enough for a great long while." In hindsight, the last is perhaps not the best to have been made in current company. His grin flickers as he realizes this and is turned fully towards Vixen. "I can be a slow learner, at times, so I think that I'll skip that danger."
"Might have to see if Leo likes that sort of stuff some time soon," Vixen comments idly as she looks back towards him with a sly little grin. She's about to say more when she falters, a moment of dizziness causing her to sway against Leo. Her free hand reaching out to steady herself against Leo's shoulder. "Woah.. Maybe I ain't a hundred percent yet," she murmurs, eyes a bit unfocused.
Ema looks over at Vixen, eyes wide, "Are you ok?" she looks over to Leo, then back to Vixen, "Why wouldn't you be at 100 percent?" she asks, her demeanor changing to something more serious, "Maybe you should have a seat, and let me take a quick look at you."
Leonard snaps a hand up to her to assist, his grin tightening to a line. "Maybe you should have taken things easy when you were expected to? Should we call it an evening?" The second question is more strong suggestion than inquiry. "Someone included a few upgrades in her shopping spree, and then decided to play with the rest of her toys when she should have been resting."
"Sokay.. got some new cyber, head's still a little tender," Vixen murmurs, leaning against Leo. "Over stimulation.. getting used to new things. I think I need some quiet. Leo.. home? Don't wanna drag you off, but don't wanna stumble around out there." She smiles at him lightly. "You can go back out if you want, I won't mind."
Ema clears her throat, eyes dancing quickly, inquisitively over the girl, searching for what new implants the girl might have gotten. Her features soften quickly, and a look as if something clicked into place washes over her face, "Well then, don't let me keep you, I was just leaving myself." her attention turns to Leo, "If anything happens, feel free to knock on my door and I'll come right over. A little healing is never a bad thing." She looks once more at Vixen before turning, speaking over her shoulder, "I'll be home in a bit, just in case." she waves, and heads off on her orignal course, towards the door.
"Quiet it is." Leonard sets his glass on a nearby table and then tends to escorting Vixen homeward. Ema receives a nod before she turns. "I will, but hopefully a little chaperoned rest will remedy things."
Vixen lifts a hand in a wave towards Ema. "Stay loose, chick." Though she's leaning on Leo some more then. A little unsteady still, but she can still keep her feet overall. "I'll be fine once I lie down a bit." And she'll be led off home, with just a pause to gather up her arms before heading out.
