The current game time is: Tue Jul 21 13:01:40 105 PA. After leaving notes for both men, Caliopa makes her way back to the garage, and begins work. Her face is unusually thoughtful, the sunny smile missing as she sets to working on a piece of electronics. Her hair is tied back into the plait that snakes down her back, and her old coveralls are stained with oil. After a while, she stops the work, resting her elbow on the worktop, her chin in her hand, staring into space.

There is a really lost look to Renos as he walks into the garage, with a bang against the door. He then stops at the door, and looks around in some confusion. The door is probably open, but not all the way. He just looks blankly at the door, as if he didn't see it there. Finally, he steps around and looks into the garage.

Entering the garage shortly after Renos, Robert comes to an abrupt stop behind the still addled man. Politely, he clears his throat to help snap the man out of his trance. "Hey, Rupert...er, or was that Richard." He scratches thoughtfully at his cheek, "Ah, how could I forget that. Robert! Hey, Robert, you still look a bit lost there."

The voices draw Cali from her day dream and she turns, her mouth curving into a small smile. "Hey Renos. Robert, ain't it?" She comments, sliding from the stool, her hands grabbing a cloth as she moves. "Got my note?" She questions, despite the obvious answer. "Atti said we're to work together..."

"Uh, yes, Robert. Yes...Cali. He did say that. And since I know...most of the details, I thought...I should...offer my help at least." He looks really distracted as he walks into the garage, and then moves to sit down. He then leans forward and rubs his eyes hard, with finger and thumb grinding into them.

Robert raises a hand in response to Caliopa's greeting. "Yes, ma'am. I'm Robert as well." A sheepish grin crosses his face before he continues, "I would have been to the meeting, but we were down a couple of sous in the kitchen. The head chef threatened to manacle me to my station if I even thought about leaving before he said so." He walks over and takes a seat with the others.

"That ain't gonna be a piece of confusin', is it?" There is a wry humour in her voice and she offers them both a place to sit, moving a pile of papers from one stool and a piece of quasi-dismantled machinery from another. "I got the papers, we got to figure a way onto the ship, else all the other plannin', it ain't worth a piece." She glances up, brown eyes holding the worry that matches her expression, "Guess it ain't a piece of pressure."

There is a bit of a blank look from the TW as he looks to Cali. "Well, there is but one way to get upon the ship. I think. THats through the gateway they come through. The problem is finding one in time. Or trying to predict when one will appear and where?" He then sighs tiredly.

Robert frowns in thought. "Well, do we know what dimension to shoot for? If so, there might be a shifter we could talk into helping us...or bribe." He folds his arms across his chest. "Still, are those robots crossing back and forth from their ships?"

She perches on a stool, sitting crosslegged on it, her elbows resting on her knees. "They still keep comin', but I ain't sure if we can all be ready 'n' catch them in the act." She tilts her head, narrowing her eyes slightly, "Least we figure out some way of tellin' when they turn up."

"There is no rift that will get us there. There is no way but the gate they come through. That seems to be the point. Maybe we can find out where they have appeared before, and try predicting the likely place they will appear again, and when, and then get someone with teleport group and just teleport everyone to that spot when it opens?"

Robert scrunches up his face and scratches at the back of his head as he thinks for a bit. "Um, I don't suppose we've got any kind of idea as to the interval of when they open or even where they've opened previously?" He shakes his head. "Any rift, natural or induced, takes a /lot/ of power. I doubt they can open them at will unless they're tapping something monsterously huge."

Caliopa scrabbles on the worktop for a pen and some paper, bending her head to scribble. "If we make a list of when, 'n' where, mebbe there is some sort of pattern?" She looks up, giving Robert a smile, encouragingly. "There was that one at the fair, 'n' must have been one to drop them robots in to the factory..."

"I do not know the details, but I am sure we can at least get ones in the city from the KDPD. I am sure they get sightings of them form the people." He then scratches his chin, as if its a distraction from his distraction. He doesn't really smile back to Cali, but then, he's not really looking at her either.

Robert returns the grin with one of his own as he leans forward to see what Caliopa is writing. "Also, is there a way to catch one of these robots that may already be here? Also, do we know if the robots are the sum total of the force or is there something else controlling them?"

She props her elbow on the table, giving Robert a thoughtful look. "They ain't the sum of it, they're just made up from bits from someone else's workin's." She chews on her lower lip, frowning, "So one of us gotta ask the KDPD for the list of them dates. Either of you wanna do it?"

Renos then looks up to Cali, and blinks slightly at her words. "I am not...sure I am even up to remembering. I can't seem to think straight." He then rubs his eyes tiredly, and looks down, as if spacing out, or thinking about something else.

Refraining from heaving a heavy sigh, Robert looks at Renos before turning to Caliopa. "I'll try talking with the KDPD then. Hopefully, they'll be cooperative." He pulls thoughtfully at his nose. "Maybe Atticus can help if they aren't."

Caliopa gives Renos a look that is half understanding and half annoyed, "You got to concentrate, Renos, else we ain't gonna get this done." She shakes her head, rewarding Robert's agreement with a quick grin. "You do that then." She hesitates, biting her lip quickly. "One thing. Jus' be careful who you talk to, because there was one bot that ain't like the big ones, just a person, 'n' he had us all fooled. Reckon there might be another out there, if there was one."

Renos blinks a little at that. "Yes, I know, and I am sorry." He then looks down. "I just can't seem to think anymore. I...I don't know what to do. I feel so lost." He then looks at the two of them. "But I don't think the two of you wish to hear about it."

"As long as you're able to help us out with this, Robert, we're good," Robert states. To Caliopa, he looks serious as he asks, "Is there some sort of infiltration or people working with them here?"

"A quick way to make sure that we have not a imposter among us is to let someone cast Sense PPE." He then rubs his eyes softly. "The robots don't seem to radiate magical energy." He then nods softly, a bit forlonrly.

"Or See Aura, which is just as quick," Robert adds. "I can see magic, but the PPE concentration has to be high or an active spell. I don't know if that ability would work with non-living machines." He humphs and crosses his arms as he considers. "I suppose I could go see if a shop sells that spell. Makes the whole thing a big p..." He stops mid-sentence as if something occurred to him. "So how did we find out about the infiltrator robots?"

"Atti can see aura." Caliopa replies absently, "That is a real good idea, Renos." She gives him a bright smile, quick, as a reward. Robert's question causes the blush to rise again and she is almost mumbling. "There was these visions, they told me, 'n' others, there was someone infiltrated."

"I have See Aura as well. I got it for my TW device, which lets me detect the kind of magic used, but only if I have the data for that type before." He then frowns a little. "Yeah, not sure if that robot is still here or not, either."

Robert reaches up and scratches his chin. "Well, I could swap you a spell for that one, Robert. We'll talk about that later though." Leaning back, he muses on what they have to do for a bit. "Um, is that all we have to go on at the moment?"

Caliopa uncurls, leaning forward to study the piece of paper. "There were robot schematics at the doc's place, but I ain't sure what they were. Renos, did you get a look over them?" She looks up, a small frown on her face.

Renos then blinks a little at the request. "Oh, yes, of course." He then stands up abruptly and accidentally knocked over the chair. Walking over to the schematics, he then looks them over...and then, he shakes his head as if trying to clear it.

Robert gets up and rights the upset chair. He smiles a bit as Renos goes to take a look at the plans before settling back into his own chair. "Alright, so what are the other groups doing? I'm curious since we're trying to find a way onto some ship. I assume others will be going on said ship?"

Caliopa gives Robert a surprised stare before opening her mouth, a shocked gesture. "I ain't told you nothing, did I?" She puts her fingers over her mouth for a moment, before lowering them. "Atti got a better way of explainin' than me, I reckon it is best that I take you up to him, let him tell you the lot." She glances at Renos. "Renos, you want to take them, look them over 'n' see what you make of it? Mebbe all three of us do our bits, 'n' meet here?"

There is a simple nod. "Yes...of course. I wish to help in any way that I can, but I am not sure I should be talking to people." He then rubs his eyes, and they look a little red. Maybe from the lack of sleep or something. "And Cali...I am sorry. I...I hope that you can forgive me...for me being a snot." He then starts to roll up the schematics.

Robert stands up as it seems that things are winding down. "I'll talk with Atticus soon, miss. Then I'll see about the KDPD chat and finding out what, if anything, they have." He puts his hands over his head, interlaces his fingers, and streches some of the kinks out. "Robert, do you want me to help you home, or are you alright tonight?"

She hesitates, before giving Renos a smile, warmth entering her eyes. "Ain't a problem. Sometimes I guess we're all an arse, sometime or other." Robert's naming of her as miss draws him a quick grin, lighting up her face with humour. "Cali, not miss." She corrects before settling back on the stool. "Do stuff 'n' drop notes to meet up again?"

Renos nods softly at that. "Yeah, and sometimes, we can be wrong too. I just wish..." He then takes a big sigh, and tucks the schematics udner his arm and nods softly at that. "I just hope I can be of some help."

"Cali, it is. Once I've been able to do it, I'll drop you and Robert a line. Hopefully, something will come up," Robert replies cheerily. He looks at Renos as if expecting something.

"'n' Renos, you want to come over, 'n' talk, well, I ain't gonna kick you out. Might even give you some tea." She smiles, lifting a hand to wave, turning back to her work.

Renos ndos softly and smiles slightly. "Thats good to know. I need to talk to Atti about the magic guild idea anyway." He then looks to Robert, and nods. "I will be fine. I am just...a bit distratced."

Robert grins and gives a quick, curt nod to Renos. "Alright, then I'll take my leave and be on my way then." He frowns and mutters, "I hope the chef doesn't get up in arms about me being a bit late today..." He heads out quickly with thatTags:caliopa, renos, robert
