The current game time is: Tue Jan 31 23:12:37 107 PA. Kingsdale - Public Stables

The Public Stables is a facility that is perhaps one of the largest in Kingsdale. When one hears the word 'stable' they typically think of horses, maybe cows and pigs and the like? Whilst this place has them, it is so much more than that. Exotic beasts from all over North America are cared and looked after here -- special facilities existing to seperate them when required. For example, in the heavily guarded South West of the Stables one can find heavy renforced MDC structures that are meant to hold beasts such as Fury Beetles and the like as well as smaller stalls for horses and the like in other places. Trained handlers ensure that for a fee, each beast is well fed and well exercized. Armed KDM guards keep an eye on them as well. Near the entry to the stables is a small shop where one can buy tack and feed for almost anything as well as to 'check' your creatures in. Players- Objects- Exits- Vadania <O> Out

With a recent conversation still on her mind, Sage heads to the stables to check in on her horse. She arrives with a thoughtful set on her features. She clutches some folded up paper and a pen in her hand. She doesn't pay too much attention at first as she wanders along towards the stall where she keeps her horse.

A soft clip-clop clip-clop sounds from the entrence as Vada simply rides LightFeather in. She lightly pats her paint's neck as she murmurs. "Easy girl.. Easy. I know you don't like spirits that much. This is why we ran to town instead of being slow. You needed the exercise anyway." Onely then does she glance deeper into the stable and offers a wave towards the lost in thought Sage.

At first there isn't much response from Sage until the noise of the approaching rider makes her turn her head. "Vadania..." She says, perhaps a little too quiet to be heard by the other woman over the noise of the horse. She looks to the paper in her hand then back up to Vadania. "I was just about to come see you..." She glances to the paper in her hand as if there's some connection between the woman's presensce and the paper.

Vadania quirks a brow up at that paper. Then sighs, "You would not have found me at the camp. I was out scouting for the dragon and may have gotten some news for those involved in the hunt."

Faint amusement begin to build in her eyes before Sage hears about the reason for not finding the woman. Instead a little concern slips into her features, "Oh?" She asks softly, distracted from her own purpose. "What did you find?"

Vadania slips out of the saddle and works loose the cinch. "I'll get you some grain, hon." she murmurs to LF as she pats her neck and shoulders the saddle. "It is about forty feet long. And lives by there a few laylines comes together west of the field. The trees said it was far, so I'm not sure where exactly." She walks the saddle to the stall wall and settles it over the wall. "And how are you and that paper?"

Sage smiles faintly as the exchange between woman and horse, before she listens to the woman speak about the dragon. She nods faintly with a neutral expression reigning on her features. "I imagine it would be quite formidable there." She comments, before considering the other woman with a little concern. She nearly forgets the paper within her hand when she's prompted about it. A faint frown coming before she looks to her hand. "Its empty... I wasn't quite sure where to start writing on what I wanted to talk to you about." She actually sets aside the paper and pen near her stall. "Here..." She says, reaching into her stall to pull out a grain bag. "I arranged this in advance, but I wont be needing it all if I don't have to write out to your camp." She comments, as she brings it over towards Vadania's stall.

Vadania offers a small smile. "Thank you. And I'm sure greedy will thank you too." LightFeather for her part just snorts and bumps Vada in the small of the back. She glances behind her, "Alright.. Alright.. I'm sorry. You are only getting your due." Then turning back to Sage she blushes. "Did you wish to speak here? Or somewhere else?"

"No problem." Sage replies with a small smile of her own as amusement returns to her eyes once more at the exchange between woman in horse. She looks to LightFeather and reaches out to give an affectionate rub, "You're welcome." She murmurs, before offering over the feed bag to Vadania. Still unable to supress the smile when she sees Vadania blush before she drops her gaze a little in shyness. "What I have to say is probably safe enough for here... but we will be talking somewhere else later on if you're agreeable."

Vadania accepts the feed bag and lightly shoos LF back a bit. She puts two even measures into the bin, then laughs as LF wickers and glares balefully at her feed bucket. "No, that's all. You just had a long run and we have to make the trip back yet. If you eat more than that, you get a belly ache." LF snorts as if in agreement and starts munching as Vada turn with the bag and offers it back. "Thank you again." Then spying a stack of hay bales she gestures over to them and asks, "Did you want to sit?"

Sage's lips curl as the feeding begins before taking back to the bag of grain. "You're welcome." She replies before taking it the short distance down to her own stall. She pours a little portion into the Summer's feed bucket before sliding the bag back onto the shelf it came from. She turns back and glances towards the hay bales. "Sure." She replies, as she begins to move towards them.

Vadania waits for you to settle first, then folds down to sit next to you. Her knee lightly touching your own as she is a little turned to look at you easier. She holds up a hand in entreaty for quiet as she starts, "I am sorry for the other day, Sage. I realize I overstepped the bonds of friendship. I do hope it doesn't destroy the joy that our friendship brings."

Once settled onto one of the stacks, Sage begins to turn to look at the other woman. She seems about to speak when the other's hand comes up, causing her to relax back a little. She takes a breath after hearing what the other woman speaks. "I felt guilty and nervous about what Tirzah would think." She replies as if it needed to be explained, "I had to speak with Tirzah about it... no, I didn't go in specifics... just mentioned the culture that you came from. I suspect she may have a more vivid imagination than what truly happened." She gives a faintly amused smile and there's a touch of red in her cheeks as she thinks back to the way her partner approached this topic. "But... she bid me to ask you something so that I could get past my concerns..."

Vadania blinks and nods slightly. Her head canting as she looks confused. "What is it that she wanted you to ask? Or should we all three be speaking of this so that it can be clarified?"

"She wanted me to invite you to dinner." Sage replies, "I have only spoken about friendship with her, though." She mentions, before she drops her gaze. "I love her and she loves me... even if she's a bit manipulative." She chuckles before shaking her head faintly. "So, if you came, it would be the three of us... where we could talk. But, I admit, I am not entirely sure what I wish from a friendship between us..."

Vadania nods and offers a small smile. "Dear-one, we can leave it as friendship if it bothers you. I would rather keep two friends who are dear to me than ever threaten that friendship by asking more." She wrinkles her nose playfully, "I could even keep Erica chasing me for a long time to come until she grows up a bit more to see past the thrill of the chase."

Sage raises her gaze back to Vadania, before reaching out to gently cup the other woman's cheek. "Please say that you will come to dinner." She says softly, "If for no other reason than to see what my manipulative mate has in mind." She considers the other woman but seems to ignore the comment about Erica for the time being as she lets her hand drift back to her.

Vadania turns her cheek lightly into the caress, almost nuzzling it. "I will come to dinner. But I do not know what to wear." She boggles for a moment, "Will I have to dress up? If so I might have to see what I can barter off folk in the shops."

Sage chuckles softly when the other woman asks about dressing up, "As long as you wear something comfortable for you, I don't think you'll have to worry about being formal... we didn't exactly dress up to come tickle you, now did we?" She teases lightly, before she pauses for a moment. "At any rate, I wish to learn more about you and your ways too much to let a misunderstanding threaten it."

Vadania ohs and nods. "Good, I was worried and a bit frightened I had destroyed the rare flower of our friendship." She crinkles her nose playfully, "Besides, who else would I get int oa nice tickle war with?"

Sage chuckles softly at the other woman's question, moving her arms ever so slightly as if to guard against the possibility here with an amused look. "It is only a question how far the flower blooms, I think." She comments, before leaning over to offer the other woman a hug. "You are like no other I have met." She murmurs, "But, I should probably let you go deal with whatever you came into the city for..." She comments before moving to pull away and stand up.

Vadania returns the hug warmly and sighs. "Thank you, Sage. You have put my heart at more of an ease. Now the next big worry is table etiquette, right?" she teases. She waits until you'er up before rising herself.

"I'm glad I could help." Sage replies softly before giving Vadania an amused look, "Yes, we are most picky..." She chuckles before shaking her head, once she's on her feet she'll offer her hand if the other woman wishes a help up. "You will, of course, tell me what your favourite meal is however." She offers with a smile.

Vadania accepts the hand up with a laugh. "My favorite meal? Ohh... Do you mean recently or total favorite from childhood on?" A grin showing as she starts towards the front of the stables. She takes her time about it. "Recently, I have been living mostly off from hunted meat and what plants I can find. Otherwise, I do recall my parents making maze cakes. Cooking finely chopped meat with spices. Lettus, tomatoes and a spicy pepper sauce over it and fold it in half and enjoy."

"Whatever you might want to eat." Sage replies with a faint tease in her voice, "I'll just decide whether to make it a meal for one or everyone." She gives a small amused smile. She follows Vadania along as she thinks about it, letting the other woman think without interruption. She purses her lips, "Sounds similar to something I made for another person I knew once... alright, I shall see what I can do." She pauses before getting a mischievous look. "I'll just make sure to have a bib for you just in case." She teases with a wink, before taking a breath. "Take care of yourself, Vadania."

Vadania chuckles softly, "I miss them, but they are too much work for a single person. We could have anything that all would like, Sage." She winks, "They were festival food anyway. Only made for special days. I think the last time I had them was the day I took the Shaman's path."
