Vixen will make casual small talk as they walk, though her first focus will be the oddly smelling cig. But it will be ash before they reach the Alibi, thus she has hands free once she reaches the place. So it's easy enough to hand over her particle beam pistol and vibro-knife to the muscle at the door. Done almost automatically, as if she's used to such things. Inside, it's amateur night and the singer on the stage is strictly that. Not too bad, but not star material for certain. Vix glances towards the stage and grimaces faintly. "This day calls for whiskey," she decides, starting to move towards the bar as she unbuttons her coat. Not too quickly, so she's not hard to keep up with.

Jaxain casually keeps up with the small talk as they move through the city, smiling at the smell of the 'cig'. "The smell reminds me of home." He comments at one point. He almost starts to walk right past the bouncer before suddenly halting and realizing he is actually packing weapons for the first time. He hands his pistol and a bejewled sword hilt to the bouncer before following Vixen inside. "Whiskey." he nods, considering, "Yeah, I can get behind that."

A good thing, cause they'd not let him just walk past. But they're professional when it comes to keeping things calm here. Vixen smirks faintly as she moves up to the nearest empty spot. Most are at the tables or on the dance floor, making for a not too crowded scene at the bar itself. "I ain't paying your way," she points out as she glances back over her shoulder at him. Then she catches the tender's attention. "Whiskey double." She then turns her back to the bar, leaning against it.

Jaxain still seems rather distracted by the nights events, which isn't very surprising. "Sorry guys." he says to the bouncers as he walks past, this time actually unarmed. He looks around and nods slowly to the beat of the music, not yet ordering a drink for himself. "You said something about broadcasting earlier. Back where I come from, I'm something of a celebrity I guess you could say, spent a lot of time in front of a camera. What are you planning?"

"Radio broadcast," Vixen states, looking towards Jax. "Not for celebrity, though. There's a lot that people gotta know that they don't and a lot they don't get to see. If things work out well, I'll be distributing some PDDs too. For a modest profit of course." She smirks a little as the whiskey gets set down near her. She picks it up, deciding to start out nice and easy with a light sip of the strong libation.

Jaxain nods slowly as he watches Vixen sip at her drink before deciding to give it a try. Or something similar, "Whiskey sour, rocks." he orders. "Raido, huh? Fair enough. So speaking of profit, you got any ideas where I might find work here? If I get desperate enough, I'm gonna try the military." he might be joking, he might not. "Though if my caravan shows up, that will solve things." He reaches into his coat to pull out a digital holo disk canister, holding it gently.

"You'd probably be cut out for merc work, but finding that is touch and go. Gotta put your ear to the ground and all that. Probably going to be more of it with all the crap happening out there. WIth the Coalition and such, if you're the sort to do that kinda work," Vixen replies casually, glancing towards the disc case that be brings out. "What, like a vid star or something?" Casually interested, though she sill devotes some qualty time to her drink.

Jaxain nods, turning around to pick up (and pay for) his drink when it arrives, "Yeah, something like that I guess. Merc work might be alright, and as long as the work is protecting folks I can get behind it. That pay pretty well?" he takes a sip of his drink and looks at Vixen. "You have anything you can play this on?"

Vixen nods her head. "Yeah, it pays pretty damn good if you live through it. That' show I got the capital to get gear for broadcasting. I might do a bit more if I get wind of something interesting.. for the material and the money. Double gold." She grins at the thought of it, then mentions, "Going to do my first tomorrow. The start of something big, hopefully." She then glances at the discs he has. "Yeah.. got a player in my portable, but that's back at my place. Why?"

Jaxain shrugs, and slips the disk back into his pocket, "Just feeling nostalgic, maybe a bit homesick." A small smile appears across his lips as he takes another drink. "So you've done some merc work here?" He contemplates, "That might be good for me actually. Where do you go for information about merc work?" He takes another sip, "And I don't have a radio, so let me know how the show goes."

Having recovered somewhat from her expenditures helping the wounded that could be helped, Sage eventually decides that some music and a nice drink would sit right with her about now. The visions that come to her while meditating or sleeping can wait. She slips quietly into the Alibi and picks her way through the club to the bar to see about getting herself some liquid refreshment.

"Not here," Vixen corrects. "Just out and about." A gesture made with her glass before she takes another casual sip. "You just listen for it. Most people that need guns ask for it. There is some.. adventure place in the north west of the city. Dunno if they hire mercs on a temp basis or what, but you could check there too." She and Jax are at the bar and the amateur acts are on the stage. The mediocre singer is still at it. "I'm not the one to ask about merc work. Pays great, but I don't much like it. Unlike most people, it seems, all I got is my pistol and my wits to deal with trouble."

Having been given time to rest up after helping the wounded until she had drained herself, Sage had been able to recover herself enough to regain some of her energy before the visions began to push further rest from her mind. Seeking a little music, light-heartedness, and a refreshing drink, Sage finds herself slipping quietly into the Alibi. She makes quick work of going through the check point and wandering her way to the bar to get herself some liquid refreshment. In this case, a cup of tea and a special blended drink with some alcohol in it.

Ever watchful Sage's departure had roused Tirzah, compelling her to trail behind her friend here, smirking lightly. Though her tailing had been discrete She sees no reason to remain unnoticed and follows Sage up to the bar to sit beside her. "You know being considerate for your desires gets complicated when you desires don't match what's best for you." She chides Sage in a humorous tone before ordering a mudslide from the bar.

Jaxain shrugs, "Mercernary work isn't my dream job either, but if it pays the bills I'd consider it." Taking another sip from his drink, he shakes his head briefly. "They make a good Whiskey sour here." He comments to no body in particular. On the dance floor he seems to see someone he knows, or more accurately she sees him. "Jax!" she calls, but her voice is lost in the crowd.

Vixen glances towards Sage as she approaches the bar nearby. considering her, then Tirzah as she comes up to the bar herself as well. She seems casually amused as she calls out to her, "Feeling alright? Saw you took a fall, but didn't seem to slow you down." She does end up hearing that voice, her own hearing augmented. But she only glances towards the source of it idly without alerting the man to the interested party. Instead she queries, "What's your dream then?"

Whether she had realized that her partner had trailed her or not, Sage gave no sign of it. Instead, she looks over to the woman with a smile when she speaks up. "Sometimes there are things that are better for the spirit than the body..." She says softly, before her attention drifts to the other woman. A small smile remains on her lips, "Tired..." She admits, "But, the fall wasn't all that it seemed... just took me a moment to figure out how to keep myself from crashing into the ground." She offers a faint shrug, before turning her attention to the tea first.

Tirzah smirks nodding her head in greeting to Vixen and spotting Jax beyond as someone calls out his name. "I dont think thats what they had in mind for the rally." She notes, her grin enduring. "But seeing as were here we can make up for the lost feeling no? Our own private rally to commit ot not let the fog and its minions keep us down. We know at least one minion wont be crashing parties again." She says with a smirk before taking a swallow from her drink.

Jaxain doesn't notice the woman who was making her way over towards him until she is closer and she catches his attention with a wave, which he returns with a smile. "My dream? Everyone in the entire world being safe from the darkness, able to sleep at night and raise thier famlies without fear of what lies in wait. Excuse me for a moment, I'm gonna go blow off some steam." With that he picks up his drink and salutes the three women around him, and makes his way towards the one who called his name (one of a group of people he met on his first day in Kingsdale), and follows her to the dance floor.

Vixen gives Sage a nod. "Good, cause b roken legs suck." A casual grin given before she adds toward Tirzah, "They should have expected it, I was expecting something to happen.. just not what got thrown into the mix." She shakes her head slightly and adds, "Proves someone is watching." She then laughs at Jax and tells him, as he goes, "I meant dream job, not bullshit pipe dreams." Amused at the concept of such a thing.

"Yeah..." Sage agrees softly as she slowly sips away at her tea, before she considers the conversation going on between the others. "I suppose this would be a better furnished place to start with..." She murmurs to Tirzah, smiling softly. She makes a small wave to the man as he departs to the dance floor, but doesn't really comment on his 'dream'.

Tirzah nods to Sage in agreement and shares Vixen's sentiment about the pipe dream. It was up to the fates to provide adversity. It was up to them to adapt to it. She had her reasons to adapt, her love to defend. Keeping her safe from the darkness was enough. Smiling at Sage with these thoughts she just relaxes, sipping her drink and basking in the atmosphere.

Vixen looks down at her glass, then tips it back to empty the rest of the contents, laying it and some credits on the bar. She then moves closer to the other two, her attention flicking between the two. "Just take a lesson and don't go spreading your actions around too loud about any gathering that's out of the ordinary. Otherwise, you might get hit just like they did. It's right about now that I'm really wishing I had a more discreet place to broadcast from.. something secure and nondescript, but you work with what you got and I ain't backing down off my plans."

Normally a tea is something that can be enjoyed slowly, but Sage seems to drink it a little more quickly than normal. Letting the warmth spread through her. She leaves her other drink untouched for the time being as she sets the tea cup aside. She leans gently against her partner as her hand slips around the other woman for support while lightly leaning. "I suppose they had good intentions... but I suppose you're right." She says over to Vixen. "I'm sure you'll figure something out eventually." She turns her attention to Tirzah after that. "Did you have any particular ideas for recovering the lost sense of that gathering?" She asks softly.

Tirzah shrugs smiling at Sage. "Well before everything went sour they said the goal was twofold. Have a good time despite the fog, And find support for a city watch to fight its affects." She reminds them, pausing to take another sip. "We're well set for the first I think. The latter though, that's a little more complicated." She notes, not really haven given it much thought since it was originally mentioned.

"Yeah, always gotta think of something," Vixen muses to herself. " She then glances between the two again. "The watch idea sounds bad to me. Good chance for some people to get a little too bold and get themselves killed gunning to try and take out something they don't know how to deal with." She shakes her head slightly. "Good idea to travel where you need to go in packs, but more than that?" She shakes her head. "not the best of ideas, I'd think."

Smiling softly, Sage touches her nose gently against Tirzah's cheek. "I'm not too worried about that second part." She admits, figuring there'll be a time when people will have to band together in an organized fashion based on what's happening. Then she leans back to be able to sip lightly from her second drink. She glances over to Vixen, giving a shrug. "It may not be a good idea, but it is an ideaa."

Tirzah nods, understanding Vixens view quite well. "We certainly don't need to give people excuses to be stupid. But maybe we could give them excuses to be mindful." She suggests, her eyes setting on Vixen. "Well actually given your intent to be a voice to the people maybe you can be a means for a more sane direction. Information and communication, notices of groups traveling with protection and such. If I have to go out at night I don't mind escorting some others in the process. maybe more awareness about such things can repair the routine of the city nightlife."

Vixen nods her head once. "Information is what I do and I plan to try and talk some sense into people. I don't think announcing moving groups of people is that good an idea, though. If you can listen in, so can whoever is doing this stuff so announcing when people are going from place to place defeats the purpose," she notes. "Besides, I'm just starting.. I hope to get a broad listener base eventually, but there's no relying on that there will be someone listening when someone wants to travel. Better to do that off open airwaves."

While the other two woman speak about ideas, Sage listens quietly as she sips away at her drink. Her gaze looks over the lip of the glass, with a thoughtful look in her eyes. "Perhaps having a place where people can register for escorting or being escorted... some place that'd be a little more secure than normal." She offers as a suggestion.

Tirzah nods to Sage in agreement before turning to regard Vixen again. "You don't need to give the specifics of the when and where people will be going. Just the details of where people might look to find such information." She suggests, thinking it over. "Guess with that idea we need a place to register and a means for people to get that information." She notes, the peculiars of those necessities eluding her.

" Not something I can keep track of," Vixen tells Sage. "I'm always moving, not static enough for that sort of thing, if you're looking for a static place." She pauses, considering for a few moments before she states, "Most I can do is tell people w hat's been going on and give the common sense suggestion. Travel in groups at night, don't hang around out in the fog unless you have to and keep the doors locked tight when you're in. This escort thing.. works best for groups of friends, I'd think, rather than something more communal. Kingsdale ain't small enough for that."

"I didn't have you in particular in mind with that suggestion." Sage comments, offering a faint shrug. She takes another sip from her drink before playfully nudging her partner in the side. "Either way... I got the sense this kind of conversation was meant for later... seemed they just wanted sign-ups at that gathering..." She notes softly, raising a brow at Tirzah with a small mischievous look coming to her features.

Tirzah regards Sage, wondering what she's hinting at to her discretely. Being someone flamboyent she's not always great at cluing into subtle hints right away. Sipping her drink she just nods in regards to the comments and considers the signals, waiting for more information.

Vixen just nods as Sage clarifies her thoughts. "I'm guessing they had the time to track that sort of thing.. maybe they'll be a bit more conservative the next time.. assuming they made it out of there. A pretty big mess before the KEC folks got there." Simply stated truth. She shakes her head slightly, fingers lightly toying with one of the smaller outer pockets of her coat. "Just have to see what happens for now and get out what is already known." She pauses and frowns faintly. "Though maybe I shouldn't talk about the vampires.." A lower musing murmur, though not hard to hear for the two.

Just when Sage considers nudging the thoughts back towards the fun, she hears the other woman continue to speak on the more serious. "I guess fun can wait..." She says with mild disappointment, but she manages to avoid giving Vixen any kind of look. She raises her hand to run through her hair instead. "I tried to help as many as I could... but I didn't have my kit there and it drains me to heal them through my own means." She says softly, before pursing her lips. "Not sure what to make of that vampire situation we had either..." She murmurs, before she turns her attention back to her drink that needs no coaching on what she'd like.

Tirzah could use some more fun right now, and the topic is exhausted for the night anyway. So as a duo with decent talent take the stage she leans into Sage, recalling their performance the other night. "Wanna dance?" She asks her love, her chin nuzzling into Sage's shoulder affectionately.

Vixen glances towards Sage, then back towards Tirzah. She smirks then and turns. "Yeah, have a good one." she says, a hand lifted out to the side before she starts to walk towards the front of the club casually. Already starting to button up her coat along the way.

When it seems the serious conversation has passed, Sage considers her drink and figures there's little enough left to drain the last of it. "Perhaps we can talk about this kind of stuff another time." She offers to Vix, "And take care of yourself." She comments, before turning her attention to Tirzah. She considers the woman, "Not sure I'm in the right mood.. but we can try.." She offers as she shifts in her chair, readying herself to get up.

Tirzah regards Vixen in a silent thanking look before shaking her head and embracing Sage to encourage her to pace herself and feel things out. "What is your mood then?" She enquires, knowing Sage had wanted something but never having grasped the desire. It must be so different for Sage to interpret her, able to feel her desires like feeling the temperature in a room. Able to glance her thoughts with a simple choice.

"You can look me up at Happy Days if you need to talk." Though which Vixen means that for is obscure. She doesn't look back when tossing that, so the look is missed as well as she reclaims her weapons, then moves out into the night.
