The pasture land where the cattle disappeared from and returned to is not anything special to the untrained eye. But to the more versed indentations of the impact points where the dead cattle fell are quite clear. Each has its own signature, and lingering odor from the gradually diminishing evidence left behind, mostly blood. On a nearby fencepost a raven lands and caws defiantly.

Vadania's attention is drawn from the signs she was studying towards the raven as it settles. A small grin showing as she rises form where she had knelt to examine one of the impact craters a little closer. She slowly pads towards the raven incase it is not a messanger sent to her form her guide.

"SMELLS FOUL. THEY SAY A DRAGON DID THIS? DRAGONS ARE FOUL. AND GREEDY. ALWAYS HOARDING THEIR VAST TREASURES. SHARE AND SHARE ALIKE I ALWAYS SAY. WHY DONT YOU HOOK UP WITH THE OTHERS AN TEACH THAT DRAGON SOME GOOD OLD GENEROSITY?" The bird caws before flitting away. If the words weren't a clear enough an indicator then the loud obnoxious means of conveyance as well as the barely veiled greed is probably enough to indicate the messenger as genuine from raven..

Vadania chuckles softly at the message. "I'm working on getting involved with them. But some are hesitant with out more information." She gestures towards the field and sighs, "This is why I'm out here at this hour searching through grass and orfal to see if I can even find a foor print to get a guess as to size on this beast."

"It never landed, and good thing. I would have right lost my temper and shot that bastard full of lead for what it did to my cattle!" A male voice declares from behind Vadania. "You're a little late, all the meat's sold already. What wasnt already rotten. At least wolves only take one old sick or young. Only what they need, not worht the trouble to be greedy. A dragon takes the whole bloody herd, kills em all, doesnt even eat a whole one. and brings them back. Like I'm some take out fast food store and it was unsatisfied with its order. I'm the bugger that damn well unsatisfied I say!"

Vadania turns and inclines her head to the farmer. "I am sorry for your loss. Though I have not come for meat of cow, rather for the meat of truth." She offers her hand, "I am Vadania SilverFeather. And currently I am scouting to try to locate some signs of the dragon." She offers a small grin, "Have you any images of what the bites and such looked like?"

The farmer shakes his head, calming down a bit. "I aint no weirdo that makes a living analyzing corpses. Did get a decent look at the dragon as it was dropping the cows all about me. Must have been at least forty feet long. Thin and snaky." He describes with a slight shudder at remembering.

Vadania hmms and nods to that. "Any bards or horns that made it look like it would be lible to shread someone trying to do you justice?" Her gaze flicking towards the edges of the field as she looks for a likely canidate of a tree or large bush that might also have some information for her.

"Nope, just the normal claws scales and teeth. and hair a long its spine, making it a bit unique and foreign looking." The farmer further explains. "If thats all I'm going to be heading in now, damn cold out here. Next time you want to take a look you come ask though, might save me a shell of rocksalt" He advises before turning to depart. There are a few shrubs in the immediate vicinity and a small copse of trees off towards the edge of the property.

Vadania nods her head slightly as she did seek him out and was told by someone at his house that it would be alright to come out and look. With a small shrug she starts towards the trees. "Go get warm, sir. I am almost done. Thank the lady of the house for her directions out here though."

The farmer is already on his way withb not intention of waiting for Vadania's acknowledgement

Vadania glances back to make sure he's not watching her. Then moves a little quicker for the trees. She goes to a knee next to the closest one to the field and reaches out a bare hand to rest against it's bark. A little tingle of energy and she whispers to the tree. "Are you awake enough to speak to me, my friend?"

"Yes"

Vadania nods slightly as she mulls over her next question. "Did you witness the dragon dropping the cattle?" "Yes."

Vadania grins and nods to that. "Which direction did it come in from?"

"Sunset. Left."

Vadania ahhs and nods again. She glances to the west and asks. "Do you or any of your sister trees know where the lair rests?"

"Far. Blue lines."

Vadania ohhs softly as she keeps looking west. "Many blue lines? Or few?

"Few."

Vadania hmms softly as she nods. Then turning back to the tree she murmurs, "Thank you, friend. Please return to what I interupted." With that she lifts her hand fomr the tree and glances back to the field. "I hope the farmer doesn't mind over much if I do a simple thank you to the spirits of the cattle that fell here."

Vadania chuckles softly as she doesn't see the farmer even peeking out the window at the strange indian woman waking around in his pasture. Shaking her hair back as she nears the center of the field. Her head tipped back enough to keep ther hair form her lips, she starts chanting softly in her native tongue. Part of the old bargans of her people she starts to thank the spirits of the cattle that were penned here and then killed by the dragon for their sacrifice to feed the generations of men in the area around with the flesh of their bones. Fur furtherin the life with their deaths." She takes her time about it as she worries that the spirits of this herd as they went so quickly together might have bene a problem otherwise.
