Somewhere on Steel St near the Dregs is where the abandoned warehouse where the rally is located. Fog have become to roil over the city as night time takes its hold on the land. The more timid have decided to arrive well before the fog had begun to show. Within the warhouse, only some of the lights work to varying degrees of usefulness. As a result, people have brought their own make-shift lighting... but there are still plenty of shadows within the large interior. The overhead walkways seem to be intact for the most part. There are some of the internal structures still standing as the cost of recovering them wasn't worth it. Music plays lightly in the background, trying to ease the mood of the people arriving. There's a raised platform that looks sort of like a soap box to be used later. The people filtering range from people expecting to have a mob mentality fight with their armor and weapons... while others seem to be here just for a potential party.

Caliopa has come with wariness, after the strangeness of the night before, her clothes exchanged for the clean jeans and the soft sweater that are covered by a simple armour. She has left off the helmet, trusting to the covering of her upper body, armed lightly. With her is Alistair, the young couple showing clearly the state of their relationship, the affection loud and clear. They have with them some food, a basket, treating it as a celebration.

Vixen has been here for a while indeed, her camera a constant companion as she mingles with the people who have come to rally against that faceless fog. A place ripe for interview, more than enough folk interested in giving their views on the fog.. and other topics when they find themselves confronted with a camera. Constantly on the move, never lingering more than a few minutes before she seeks out another someone to question. Currently finishing up with small group of boys, one or two eyeing her with barely concealed interest. Something about a woman in leather, perhaps. She grins at them and gives a casual, "Thanks boys. Make sure you listen in." Handing over one of her custom stickers before she turns to take a few steps off and seek out her next target.

Tirzah slinks into the warehouse discretely for now, Sage following behind her. Preferring not to attract and audience just yet she leads Sage to a more secluded corner while they wait for things get get going. Whispering to Sage she points out Caliopa and Alistair with a sly grin. Something about decoys and lures.

Alistair is wearing a grey turtleneck instead of the usual white-t under his jacket, and he doesn't appear to be wearing any armor, nor does he appear armed. Then again, one could easily hide a pistol in that jacket. He looks for a good spot to occupy together with Caliopa so they'll have a good view of the event. "Oh, look ... half the people are here for war and half for a party. Are you worried?" he asks her quietly after looking around. "Or ... is this normal?"

Having been reluctant intially to come, Sage had insisted that she wear her armor after the last time that she'd accompanied the redhead out into the fog. She has some of her weapons along with her as a precaution as well. Not like some of the true party go-ers. She stays close to Tirzah for now, for a couple reasons. She glances towards the couple that her partner points out. "Should we say hi at some point?" She asks softly, a little uncertainly.

Finding a good spot to one side, Caliopa begins to empty their basket, enough food for several people, clearly marked from the deli. "I aint worried, but seems sensible to be a piece prepared. After last night, ain't knowin' what folks will do." She replies as she looks around. Sage and Tirzah are seen, and a friendly arm wave with a grin towards them, before she returns her attention to Alistair.

Vixen spots Cali and Ali as she's prowling and, given the circumstances, decides to approach them, her camera held in a more casual posture, though keeping the business end front and center. "Cali and Ali. Didn't think you'd both be here," she says as she approaches, eyes flicking towards the basket they carry. "And you brought food. Don't mind sharing, do ya?" Of course, she waits before doing more to invite herself.

Tirzah nods to Sage smiling warmly. "That would be polite I think. You do live with her no? Doesn't she get curious where you spend some of your nights?" She asks with a gentle prod and sly smirk. "But no rush, we can let things get more comfortable first I think." She suggests, her hand moving to embrace Sage at the hip. Her own armor less obvious than Sage's but present none the less, and her arsenal more of an inherent nature. And then Caliopa waves at them. "Oops, we've been spotted, maybe I should have cloaked us. Oh well they have food, lets go be neighborly." She proposes, though leading Sage over before her reply.

Alistair sits down near Caliopa and watches her pull things out. He smiles and looks towards Sage and Tirzah when Cali waves - he does as well, and then looks at Caliopa and leans in a little ... then he hears Vixen and, his cheeks redden as expected. He looks up and smiles, "Hello Miss Vixen" he greets, while somewhere in between Cali and Ali his hand seeks to capture hers for a moment.

"She tends to be busy with her work..." Sage replies simply, "Sometimes she wouldn't arrive until after I'd go to sleep." She gives a faint shrug, letting the other woman embrace her and returning a similar embrace. She's content with the hug for now. She gives a slightly shy look as she realizes her room-mate has noticed her. She raises her hand to wave back. "Its okay..." She murmurs, before she begins to walk towards the other couple.

Vixen gets a warm smile in reply, and Caliopa waves a hand at the food. "I got a ton, couldn't work out what I wanted to eat." The consent is implied, and she lets Alistair take her hand, reaching out to offer him a small piece of food, her smile warning. "Real busy here, I weren't expectin' so many folks." As Sage approaches, she gets a warm smile, affection showing in the girl's face. "Reckon we got enough?" There is a slight doubt but in truth, they could feed a small army.

Vixen glances towards Sage and Tirzah amid the notice of them. Considering the two idly before she looks back down to Cali and Ali again. "Good enough." she replies as she slips her satchel off and lays it down as she settles at the edge of their chosen spot. "Been here since before dark, talking with these people. Lunch wasn't heavy enough for those." Not too choosey, once she's settled her camera just so on her satchel, she snags a sandwich and doesn't stand to ceremony when it comes to getting it open and bitten.

Tirzah nods, recalling the secret visit she made to Cali's shop. "I guess that's convenient." She replies with a smirk before reaching down to collect one of the Deli's famous turkey salad wraps. Smiling at Caliopa and Alistair she muses her thanks. "Hey guys. You honor us with this veritable feast." She offers with an honest grand gesture. Then turning to Vixen she smiles warmly. "Hello Vixen." She greets before looking to Sage to see if she sees what she'd like.

"I think we brought a lot" Alistair grins at Caliopa, giving her a bright smile and leaning over to bite the morsel and take it off her fingers. "Mmmmhmm." A few moments later he nods his head, and picks up a morsel to offer to Caliopa, returning the favor; it's obvious enough he likes being with her. He greets Sage and TIrzah as they come over.

It seems that a number of people have brought things to this gathering ranging from food, music, lighting of various types. Some of it organized on tables, others just strewn around the place.

Composing herself as she walks towards the other people, Sage smiles to her roommate. "Hey..." She greets them in general, before she considers the food that's been brought alone. "We'll probably manage somehow." She comments, before looking between the people around. She begins to consider the food, "Looks nice too." Her gaze drifting to ones that she thinks she'd like best.

Caliopa laughs, leaning forward to take the morsel from his fingers, her cheeks flushing at the public display of affection. "Folks seem relaxed..." She comments softly to Vixen. Tirzah's thanks gets her an abrupt nod, a quick smile before Caliopa turns her gaze to the crowds, watching them with curiousity. "Ain't up to your cookin', Sage, but I figured you'd not want to be eatin' mine, none of you." The grin towards Sage is speaking, reminding of the many burnt pans and take out cartons.

Vixen nods her head to Tirzah, her mouth full at the moment, though quickly cleared in the moments after. "Still got that trip later," she mentions to the other woman casually. She then nods to Cali. "Some are. Some are getting pretty rowdy. Some are scared. Got the whole mix here. A pretty wide slice of the way people lean. Though most are young. Don't figure this is the old folks way of doing things." She grinning along with the casual jest before she takes another healthy bite.

As the in flux of people begins to taper off towards mere trickles, it seems that there's a price to this little gathering aside from showing up. A man flamboyantly dressed steps up onto the soap box. "I'd like to thank everyone for coming!" He calls out, but the surrounding noise is enough to diminish the distance his voice carries.

Tirzah can only imagine what type of cook a mechanic would make. Her attention on Sage though she follows her gaze and collects that which she lingered longest on, handing it to Sage with a smile. "You gonna start relaxing hun?" She asks Sage with a reassuring rub to her back the turns into a friendly embrace. Then the man speaks up and Tirzah turns her head to give him a regarding glance. If he doesn't prove interesting it will be brief.

A soft chuckle comes from Sage as Cali makes a comment about the cooking, "Sometimes its good to eat something you didn't make now and again." She comments, offering her roommate a small smile. "Unless its your's..." She concedes with a teasing tone, before she turns her attention to Tirzah. "I'll try..." She murmurs to Tirzah, before returning the hug. She tries to draw comfort from the other woman before she decides to settle into considering the food. The man that speaks doesn't draw much attention to her at first.

"Folks get scared a lot, recent times." Caliopa comments softly, her face thoughtful. The man's arrival draws her attention and she watches, leaning into Alistair's side, eating slowly. Sage's teasing is met with an honest grin, acknowledging the truly bad standard of her own cooking. "Falafals are good." She tells Sage, before she begins to eat her own, using her fingers. "Reckon this might be a piece of interest."

Vixen frowns faintly when the guy starts talking. Of course now he decides its time. She snaps up her camera from where she lay it, slipping the wired device into her pocket so the cord that leads behind her ear won't get pulled when she stands up, turning to face the speaker and get a good view, watching him intently as she continues eating her sandwich. Her satchel remains on the ground for now.

While the murmurings amongst people continue, the man seems to press on with his speaking. He basically re-iterates some of the ideas presented on the advertisements that were posted. "I think we can all agree that we're sick and tired of the fog!" He calls out as he continues part the re-iteration. "Tonight is meant for a good time... and to see about developing a city watch to form a solid front against the threats of the fog!"

Tirzah releases Sage just long enough to unwrap her wrap before her hand drifts back to find Sage's and knit with it. She slackens her discipline on her link a bit to let the power fill her and warm her body for Sage's comfort, remembering how Sage gets soothed knowing that Tirzah would bend such raw destructive energies simply for her benefit. Or at least that was Tirzah's view of it. Then slowly starting on her wrap she turns away from the man to smile at Sage. "We can go if you want." She offers, a glint of special times available here, or elsewhere in her eyes.

A small grin is given to her roommate by Sage, before she uses her free hand to begin sampling from the food brought by Cali. "Where did you get it?" She asks softly, giving her partner's hand a gentle squeeze. "In a moment, perhaps." She offers to Tirzah, looking to the woman with a slight tilt of her head as she munches on the food. Alistair listens into the conversations, an arm wrapping about Caliopa's waist as she elans into him. He looks over towards the stage as well, then, listening to the guy talk. "That is almost a recipe for chaos" he comments quietly, "Aren't the police doing anything about these things anyway?"

The man keeps Caliopa's attention for the most part, her face serious, and then she smiles at the suggestion that this is a good time. "Reckon we can have a real good party. Ain't nothin' bad likely to happen." She comments softly to Alistair, giving the man at her side a warm smile. "Got it from the deli." She replies to Sage, leaning her head into Alistair, relaxed. "That deli saves me pesterin' you for feedin' all the time." The teasing there is light, the quick grin warming Caliopa's eyes.

Vixen keeps her focus on the speaking man, his words getting a casual grin from the young woman. But she decides, as she nears the end of her sandwich, to let the guy talk for a little while longer before she decides to start making a little noise.

"Anyone interested can sign the form over on the table over there." The man speak, gesturing to a small table with a book opened for people to sign their names into. "And, should anything go wrong tonight, we have a wizard setting up protection in what's left of the office over there..." The man gestures in another direction that's rather dark but the further away lights reveal an office front there. Then the man pauses as he looks back to the assembly and notices cloud beginning to billow up amongst the crowd. "Did someone bring a smoke machine?" He asks, not thinking highly of the idea even if there's to be a party of sorts here.

Alistair smiles and picks up a bite to eat. "I hope it is. So many strange things happening lately" he comments and slips his hand into her hair at the back of her head. "Looks like almost everyone is here -" he looks over towards the stage again, and frowns faintly. "Hm ... " his gaze then turns to the smoke that's billowing out, and his eyes narrow; he glances back to the stage. Alistair suspicious? Never.

Tirzah nods to Sage with a warm smile, content to wait on her word to indicate she could use some air. Munching on her wrap casually she does perk her ear at the mention of a city watch and then the police. "From what I've seen KDPD has very little interest in getting their hands dirty. If there's no threat of damage to property or citizens from a clear threat its not worthy of their interest." She recalls out loud. "Though a city watch could be even worse if they become a bunch of vigilantes." She notes. And then the smokes is mentioned and Tirzah's guard goes up, her grip with Sage firming slightly in warning. Unplanned things made her owly.

Faint amusement comes to Sage's features as her roommate teases about not having to bother her for food all the time. "You had ways of doing that before we met as I recall." She replies with faint bemusement. Her attention drifting to Tirzah to smile at the woman's understanding. She too becomes a little wary as her next morsel of food is half eaten in her hand. Her senses not picking up anything quite yet.

Caliopa is watching the stage, still smiling, "Reckon we should sign in?" She asks Alistair, looking up at him. She is about to say more when the smoke begins to billow out, and her smile freezes and then fades. "Uh, that meant to happen?" She asks softly, tensing against Alistair. "I ain't real sure that is faked." She shifts, moving to a position more easily risen from.

Though normally Alistair would give Caliopa a reassuring smile, his expression this time around is one of determination. He looks around quickly, "We should hide - don't go near that" then he looks back at Caliopa, and at the others around them. "It is a bad thing." Vixen finishes off her sandwich and is drawing out her camera again when the smoke starts to rise up around them. "..the hell?" She edges back a bit towards the others, head half turned as she murmurs, "Stay close.. this many people.. there could be a panic." Meaning to have the others all hear, though to not let it carry very far.

The smoke suddenly bursts into a wide roiling circle that consume many of the people within the group that's come to attend this gathering. "No need to panic!" The man's voice on the soap box calls out, but there's already nervous murmurings. Its hard to see people beyond arms length now.

Sighing Tirzah gives Sage a lazy glare. "I hate it when you're right." She had Alistair's suspicions and her instincts, that was enough justification for her to get into a defensible position. "Hold on to me Sage, we'll get an elevated view of the situation." She suggests, getting the paths to the power to lift her and Sage up out of harms reach ready.

An apologetic smile is given to her partner by Sage before her expression changes into something that comfirms trouble is about to roil. "Soon..." She moans softly, before she lets her ability to suppress fear flow through her body and by extension into Tirzah's body as well. She's had too many times where it could have been useful to do that before the action. She isn't able to reach anyone else before she's lifted into the air. "Okay." She replies, keeping her grip on the other woman.

Caliopa studies Alistair's expression for a moment before she does scramble to her feet, leaving the picnic where it lies. "He says there ain't no need to panic." She speaks uncertainly, glancing around her at the others, a faint edge of panic in her eyes despite that reassurance. She stays beside Alistair, her hand sliding to her weapon.

"I hear something.." Vixen's words as she cocks her head, favoring her right ear. Brow furrowed slightly as she falls back a bit towards Ali and Cali, stooping briefly to scoop up and sling her satchel across her shoulder. She glances back towards the two couples. "Probably should think about getting back outta here before things get too hot. And whatever that is gets here." Concerned, though her left hand keeps the camera focused on tracking events around her.

"He has no idea that there is a need" Alistair replies, standing up as well. He looks back at Caliopa, and he takes her free hand to squeeze. "We should just move out of the way" he comments, and glances at Tirzah and Sage. He then starts backing up, trying to pull Caliopa with him. Not too fast, he doesn't want to cause a stampede. "This way Miss Vixen."

With the man still showing protestations that all will be well, its clear within moments that everything is not fine. He tries out in pain, and the huddled mass of the group that had been indecisive breaks into panic screams as people start to run around. The smoke also has entended upwards, forcing the airborne couple to go high, indeed. Outlines of figures with archair bows rain down arrows on the crowd assembled. On the ground below, the shapes of people running about make it difficult to tell if a friend or foe is about to dash at the trio left on the ground.

Tirzah and Sage float up into the air (levitation) coming to a stop just below the ceiling. From there she surveys the scene to determine the source of the smoke while considering her strategy for engagement. And then, near her altitude people are shooting arrows into the panicked crowd? Not acceptable. Drawing from her link she charges her armor (Armor of Ithan) Before ordering "Show yourself." And her air elemental aide coalesces, ready to help.

Used to he partner using her power to levitate into the air now, Sage isn't discomforted by it. She isn't quite sure what's going on yet, until she begins to see the figures shooting arrows down on the crowd. She reaches out with her psychic senses before shuddering at what she senses. Her hand reaching for a weapon as it seems that one might be necessary.

Screams sound within the fog as people scramble around without rational thought. There's noise of people crashing into things, tripping over and stumbling to the ground. Arrows are landing with thuds seemingly all over the places. The noise that Vixen heard earlier is much louder as if a band of drummers had decided to wander amongst the fog. Clink, clinkity, clink. Like a metal drum. Then, in front of the group fleeing on the group of three fleeing on the ground, a person cries out and stumbles into view sporting a gash that looks like it was inflicted by a normal sword?

Caliopa is moving with Alistair, trusting to her friends to keep her safe, her eyes wide. The panic spreading helps her decide and she backs up, glancing between Alistair and Vixen, her hand resting on her weapon, tense and worried as the smoke rises. She lifts her spare arm to cover her head, her fear of the arrows obvious. "Reckon we might have to stand and fight, can't leave them, Al..." She speaks loud enough for those next to her to hear. Finally, she draws her weapon, holding it in a loose grip in front of her, the safety on.

That of course means that he can't really whisk Caliopa away to safety. Alistair sighs softly and hms, looking back at Caliopa. He smiles at her, "Be careful where you shoot; do you have something to cover you from the arrows?" he asks, actually moving between her and the assailants, at least partially. A faint sheen - some sort of surreal might-be-there-might-not thing surrounds him, and with Caliopa so close to him - touching him even, she might feel a bit of a charge. "I should have brought a sword" he comments, putting his hand inside his jacket.

Vixen frowns faintly as Tirzah and Sage go up. Glancing up towards them for a moment be fore she focuses on her own situation. Panicked people.. arrows? She turns her right side towards the direction the arrows come from, slipping her hand into her coat to draw out her particle beam pistol. "Save them be fore or after they trample us?" The young woman moving back a bit to the side, angled out from the two, keeping things tight. "Don't even know what's attacking.." She keeps her camera panning, taking shots of of the panic without giving it too much attention.

With the commotion and smoke, finding an enemy to strike out at might be difficult. It is the airborne pair that get the first view of the enemy. Dressed up in old leather armor that looks like its seen better days, the archers seem intent on their task. Something seems wrong about them. The armor seems to settle about them as if there isn't much underneath the armor. It varies between the different creatures, but its similar by in large between the masses. Down below, a knight in dull metal armor appears out of the fog to rake his sword against the man's psychic armor harmlessly.

The knight's skeletal face seems to unnerve the two women with Alistair. A similar result will happen when Jaxian encounter his first knight.

Tirzah considers the situation briefly. She cant discern what their foes are but their weapons and armor are archaic and more than effective given the situation. "Blow them down." She asks of her aide with a gesture of her hand to the archers. She would save her own energies for a more central threat as they are intended. Her aide complies summoning a powerful gust of wind to sweep through the Archers and and scatter them and their weapons. (wind rush 18 or higher to save)

As Sage slides her weapon out of its holster, she looks for something productive to shoot at. "I think they're undead..." She murmurs to her partner, "The emotions..." Her voice showing how disturbing their emotions can be. She takes inspiration from her friend and finds a suitable crate to manipulate with her telekinetic ability.

After speaking with Alistair this morning, Jax decided to come a bit more heavily armed than usual. Of course, since he is generally completely unarmed, that doesn't say much about the small revolver he holds lightily in one hand (pointed down at his feet). As he notices the danger, he takes a moment to focus on his training and gather a small amount of energy to protect himself so that he may better protect others. Otherwise, he has no armor or any other weapons visible as he makes his way into the crowd, the figure of the knight drawing his gaze to Cali and her two companions. He rushes towards them, stopping only when he sees the knight's features closer (around the same time it takes a swing at Alistair). "By the gods!" He shouts, followed by a rush of something in chinese as just stands there, his jaw agape and his face slack as he gazes upon the face of fear itself.

Caliopa, stood behind Alistair, safe behind whatever the hell the man is doing, freezes, horror showing on her face, her eyes widening. Her skin pales as she stares into the face of the knight, "What is that?" She whispers, taking a step backwards, as if backing away might help her.

Meantime, Alistair moves the free hand to catch the sword against him; his other comes out of the jacket just as his foot kicks up into the Knight's hand. The hilt ends up in the air, rotating just so it can fall into his open hand. That arm, now armed - pun mildly intended, flies out to the side, and is then swung right back at the offending skeletal figure; one might figure that the viciousness of the attack might have to do something with the women behind him, or at least one of them.

"Shit!", Vixen shouts, snapping back a quick step and nearly losing the grip on her camera in the process. Half surprised, half scared at the thing that comes to attack them. But her covetous care for the device keeps her from dropping it. She edges back, clearly not interested in a fight at that moment.

One thing is starting to become clear as the monsters swarm the people assemebled into the warehouse. It isn't the people with the armor and weapons that are in danger. Its the people that came just wanting the party and have a good time. Pockets of resistance seem to develop within the fog as the clash of steel can be heard. Yet, the skeletal knights seem to be all over the place. Perhaps too many to protect everyone! At least the archer threat is stemmed significantly as some of the archers crash into the floor below to make an unmistakable sound of bones clattering. Other archers remain where they are but weaponless. It is the ones further away from the elemental that are still able to fire away. The weaponless archers pull out daggers and look for something to dive down upon within the roiling smoke.

Undead is good. Undead means she doesn't have to worry about making them extra crispy. "Fry them." She tells her aide and it does indeed, forming an electrical field around the firing archers (ball lightning) "See if you can find the source of the smoke?" She asks Sage, eager to support her friends below, but not wanting to to hurt anyone caught up in the panic. The orchestraiters of this situation really had things well done.

With the archers being taken care of by her partner, Sage nods to the woman's comment. The crate lingers indecisively as she shifts her attention to something else. She gasps as a new sense breaks free of its dormant state. "It's... cold..." She murmurs unhelpfully as she begins to track the sensation she gets.

Jaxain backpedals from the knight, thrusing his pistol back in his coat as he avoids having to come in contact with it. Alistair seems to have things well in hand. He doesn't need to approach that thing... Instead he looks deeper into the crowd, then towards the edges. "Find the one controling the dead!" He calls out to everybody and nobody as he follows his own advice and finds a vantage point to leap up on to get a better view. He also looks out for any groups of people who look particularly vulnerable, and will make his way in thier direction.

Caliopa's horror fades slightly and her gaze takes in Alistair's movements with some wonder and shock, shaking her head before she can act at all. Sadly, with so many people, although she points the weapons in her hands, she can't fire them, backing away to give Alistair room to move safely.

The undead soldier's head is crushed under the blow with its own sword, and Alistair leans in, then kicks what remains away. "They're not undefeatable!" he calls out, "But careful what you use you might hit others!" The next one that comes his way gets the same treatment, sending a plate of armor flying from the impact. He pauses for a moment to look at where he could do the most damage or - more to the point - where he can go to save the most people.

Vixen recovers from the shock, then eyesballs the skeletal.. armor thing for a moment before she shoves her pistol back into her coat. Start blasting off with that cannon and the collateral could get messy. "Ain't geared for this.." Lowly muttered before she breathes out lowly and slips her right hand behind her back, under her coat. A firm jerk frees what's been secreted back there and out drops the well cared for length of a braided leather bullwhip. "Stay back, Cali!" Stated by the young woman as she keeps back a bit herself, unashamedly using the combative Alistair as a bit of cover while she considers a target.

Cries and moans filter through as the vulnerable begin to fall to the skeletal knights. The slight is quite sickening as skeletal knights repeatedly stab the fallen victims before looking for another victim. "There's too many!" A firm voice calls out, the swirling smoke seemingly full of knights and people moving in a deadly dance. "Hurry!" A voice calls from the direction of the abandoned office. The archers still attacking, soon find their attemps thwarted by the lightning as it seems to disrupt them. A luck one or two gets out, but the remaining ones seem to fall down onto the gangplanks that run overhead.

The archers mostly neutralized Tirzah looks to Sage to see how she's doing in finding the source. "Can you pull us over to the ramparts? I'll let you off so I can got deal with things personal like." She offers realizing she can no longer help efficiently from up here. Then turning to her aide she smirks with an idea. "See if you can dispel the smoke." She suggests to the elemental and in channels the power of air to do so. (dissipate gasses) if it works it would need to be refreshed every minute until she eliminated the source, but it was a start.

This new sense being difficult to get a handle on, Sage seems to spend a fair amount of conversation on trying to find the source. "Hard... to... tell... which... one..." She says, "More than one ... magic thing..." Once she's figured out general directions, she lets her attention shift briefly to the crate that she brings over to nudge them to the gangplanks.

Jaxain rapidly approaches one of the many groups of people being slaughtered by the undead, and whirls a roundhouse through the first one he finds which sends bones flying in every direction. On to the next group, he ends up facing two and misses a few strikes, being punished for his failure by a trio srikes against his unarmored flesh, before he manages to do away with the pair with a few well placed punches that strike with the force of a jackhammer. "There are too many, we must find the source!" he calls, looking around desperately for any clues.

Caliopa finally acts, lifting her weapons and clicking off the safety. She takes aim steadily at a group with no people, aka collatoral damage, behind them and begins to fire. Her face is serious, intent on her task, but the pale skin suggests that the fear has not eased, nor the horror of the situation.

Alistair starts running into the group of enemies, looking for whoever's driving it, if at all possible - he keeps in mind that he needs to keep his way out open however. "Some cover would be nice!" he changes his course to grab another sword and round up Jaxain. HOpefully he knows how to use one. "Quick!" hte people getting hurt are starting to get to him - it's not fun at all.

Vixen is going to be conservative with her whip, given the lack of great amounts of room to maneuver and too many nearby moving bodies to be too reckless. But whenever something non-living gets too close to her, she snaps the whip at it, looking to snag legs to unbalance and give kicks to drive them away. Thus the din of the fighting will be punctuated by the occasional angry snap of the whip, wielded with an obvious skill and precision by the young woman. When Ali goes off, she sticks near to Cali, keeping watch to her side of the woman to keep dangerous things away.

"Hurry! This way!" A voice calls once more from the direction of the abandoned office. The melee and confusion continues as the battle seems to have no end in sight. Where could the being controlling this be? It just seems to be knights and people struggling about on the ground floor. Some people try to start towards the voice, but its hard going. Letting Sage off at the ramparts Tirzah descends into the turmoil. Drawing from her link to fire to charge her hands with sufficient power to counter the undead (flame lick). Then she'll make her way towards the sources Sage indicated, counting on her to guide her further from afar. But then she here's the call for help from the office and decides to investigate.

The smoke begins to thin, but its unnatural power seems to keep at least a haze settled onto the din.

Once onto the gangplanks, Sage settles back into her new sense for magical things. The voice from the office draws her attention as much as the magic that she senses from there. "The wizard!" She calls out, suddenly remembering something the man on the soap box had said. She mentally strikes that magical source off her list before looking towards the corner where another source seems to be coming from. "Tirzah... can you see anything over there?" She gestures, unable to make out anything herself in the darkness that dwells there.

Jaxain nods and smiles at the familiar figure as he joins in his fight. Accepting the sword with a nod of thanks, Jax looks towards the building and then at the man beside him. "What do you think, my friend? Is that a trap, and if it is, shall we trigger it?" A dangerous light dances in his eyes, as he searches wildly for any solution to present itself. "I shall follow your lead."

Caliopa provides that cover, aiming to fire where she sees danger heading towards the two men, her eyes narrowed as she focusses. "The wizard?" She calls back, questioning, unable to move her gaze from the targets of her aim. "Reckon he might be in the side room? The bloke, he said..." She trails off as she concentrates on the firing, aiming to avoid the friends and hit the foes

Alistair nods his head to Jaxain, "That way" he points to the far side of the office, "Whatever it is, it is that way" he explains, his smile not to bright, but there. He'll cry later. With that, the pair of sword-wielding combattants begin sweeping through the skeletal soldiers, often doing a round about each other, covering each other's backs against anything that comes close, steel slicing through and crushing bones, plates of armor falling down around them as they proceed towards the office with due haste.

Vixen shakes her head slightly, snapping at the ankle of another skeleton, wrapping and yanking before a flip of the wrist loosens the whip and she draws it back. Stumbling the thing just long enough for the person it was about to stab to get away. for now. "Can't see nothing about the side room right now, Cali," Vix responds, whether or not she was being asked. Too busy scanning for targets and making sure she doesn't get stabbed in the meantime. So far, so good. Though a thought comes to her. "He said something about protection and a wizard at the side office." Her left hand still guiding the camera in keeping a view of the action before her, motions off to the dark area that was indicated before by the man on stage.

Calls of "This way..." are taken up as people collectively seem move to find a way through the undead towards the office. With the haze of smoke still lingering. It makes it easier for some to slip through untouched and harder for others.

Tirzah beelines towards the office, unleashing gouts of flame at any undead that should try to impede her. En route she looks towards the area Sage indicates, emitting a breathy whistle to signal her aide to go have a look for her. Unable to really help the people below, Sage begins to creep towards the place where she feels another source of magic. She's unable to see anything for the time being. Her weapon in hand at the ready.

The dynamic duo meantime continues to hack and slash their way towards the office; they rhythm uninterrupted. They don't have time to look behind them and see if the path they're carving is being filled in by other skeletal soldiers, but so far they appear unstoppable, gathering pace, steel flashing in the light. They both start getting a feel of how much denser the opposition might be becoming as they aproach the source of trouble.

Caliopa follows the movement towards the side room, giving covering fire where she can to the men with swords. Her aim isn't perfect, but she does well enough. She glances around between shots, taking in the position of the others, checking on their safety. The questions about her boyfriend's sudden prowess with a sword haven't poured out yet but they will. Oh yes.

Vixen moves after Cali, keeping an eye towards the back. Both trying to keep back any of the armored skeletons, while covering anyone that gets near enough for a whip snap to stymy a pursuer. Sadly the dead don't know the flinch from the angry snap of the bullwhip, but it does well enough for entangling and tripping. "C'mon, get going!" Shouted towards anyone that does shy away, trying to keep her attacks from frightening off the fleeting. A few get strikes in at her, but her armored coat wards off the blade edges. More bruises for the morning, though.

With the fire being used, the skeletal knights seem less eager to seek out more victims. The others closing from behind still wanting blood, though. The other armed people that came, seem to form up in the rear to help people the rear of the group from getting whittled down any further. Above on the gangplanks, it seems the mastermind decides to make his presence known. "Bitch!" An odd voice screeches before dark energy streaks forward to strike the gangplanks near the approaching Sage. The elemental is the first to get a glimpse of the necromancer that's been hidden all this time.

The threat revealing itself the elemental calls a bold of lighting down on the foe, the warehouse deafened by the boom of thunder. It is that sound that draws Tirzah's attention from the undead and the office to turn and see Sage engaged. Rage welling up unrestrained she unleashes a fireball at the nemesis, no one calls Sage a bitch.

There is no place for Sage to run on the gangplanks as she's caught on a straight portion. The necromancer's attempt to sever the gangplank in her area fails in its accuracy. Instead, it hits the support for the plank as well. The gangplank section as a whole wobbles instead. Sage tries out as she loses her balance on the shuddering plank. Her hands reaching for purchase on the plank before she calls to the ground below. She only dimly hears a dismayed cry from the necromancer as he too loses his balance.

The voice certainly helps leads the two swordsmen towards the necromancer's location, and so off they go. Any undead getting in the way will receive a violent treament for their efforts. "I think it's there!" Alistair calls out as they are fighting, and their trajectory changes. Oddly theymust be working synergisticly because nothing can be heard over the deafening roar of that thunderbolt. Should the opponent be in reach, the two will try to give him some steel poisoning or bring him down and pretty literally beat him unconscious - whatever ends up being more convenient at the moment. If not - at least their aproach should be getting worrisome.

Caliopa is still firing at the armored skeletons, keeping the cover going. The screech draws her eyes, widening as Sage cries out and falls, and Caliopa hesitates, torn between going to her friend and continuing to provide the covering fire. But she lifts the weapon again, forcing herself to continue to fire, giving the two fighters with swords as much protection as she can

When people start to form a defensive line to hold the back, Vixen falls back a little. Her whip is not the most effective weapon in this instance, thus she happily bundles it after slipping her camera into her pocket again, shifting the whip to her left hand. She's just pulling her pistol again when she hears the expletive being shouted out. She glances up, sees someone that looks up to no good up above, and turns her weapon on him. No chance for collateral damage? Oh yes. The particle beam pistol fires off it's deadly payload.

The heroic slashers progress gets hauled before they get close enough to the struggling necromancer as the ground seems to snare their feet up. Yet, it could have been worse, they seemed to avoid stumbling and getting further stuck within it. The necromancer begins to crawl back onto the gangplank after losing his balance while Sage doesn't seem as luck as her hands slip without purchase from the gangplank.

Trusting Sage to be able to catch herself Tirzah unleashes another fireball, and now that Sage is off the planks the elemental can unleash another lightning field. A startled cry comes as Sage plunges into the darkness that resides below her. The result of her fall lost within the shadows of the poor lighting.

Seeing that the situation is a little stickier than they would have liked to, Jaxain and Alistair decide to open fire on the Necromancer with their pistols. That is, if Tirzah's attack leaves anything for them to shoot at; they'll follow up if she either misses or fails to take out the Necromancer.

Caliopa moves her fire to the Necromancer, taking her time with each shot, if the other's attacks leave a piece of him whole. She moves to the side, giving herself a better aim, her face intent and solemn.

Vixen follows suit with the shooting, a few quick firing off a second shot at the man with a bit more aim to it than her last quick snap. ""Head of the snake, hopefully," she mutters lowly, the whip still clutched in her left.

Well she had trusted Sage to catch herself, but the cry is too much. Her attention leaving the Necromancer as she dashes into the darkness after Sage. The elemental however, having plenty of power left to draw on summons more balls of electricity to compound their power with the first three. If there was anything left, there wont be for much longer.

With the whithering fire leveled at the necromancer, he becomes a ghastly falling apart creature as his extra appendages and other self-modifications begin to fall down into smelly smouldering pieces. He manages to make his way for the exit that's on the upper level. The door opens, but with a final surge of pyrotechnics, its hard to tell whether the necromancer is vaporized or escaped into the night air.

There is a thud from the direction that Sage fell, but it sounds too small and inconsequential to be the body of the woman herself. When further investigated, she'll have moved something to catch herself on the way down.

Jaxain and Alistair stow the pistols with that threat gone and look back to the skeletons. Alistair will make a bid for Caliopa, worried. "Cali!" he calls out, the sword still in hand as he makes his way over ... it might take a little while if that carpet of adhesion is still working.

Caliopa lowers her weapons, taking a moment to breath after the fight. She clicks on the safety, her shoulders sagging before she realises Sage is down. She moves to find her, lifting a hand to Alistair, a reassurance for her own safety. "Sage is down!" She calls to him, dropping on her knees next to the other woman, helping her to rise. "Ain't hurt?" She asks softly, receiving reassurance on that matter, and then letting Alistair distract her.

Once the necromancer seems iced enough, Vix surveys the scene. Being mopped up. She slips her pistol into her coat, then draws out a small, short range communicator. A quick adjustment with her other hand, whip slid under her arm and she brings up the KEC emergency frequency. "Got a serious situation here. Attack on the night rally. Lots of wounded. Best send a few people quick." A simple assessment, the young woman stepping off to the side a little to give further details as they're asked.

Tirzah snickers at Cali as Sage insists on standing on her own two feet and helping the wounded. "You know her better than that. She may have a meek demeanor but she's too tough to let a little fall slow her down." She reminds the mechanic as she goes with Sage, doing what she can to assist until Sage does exhaust herself, and Tirzah will lovingly carry her home. Sage nuzzled into her shoulder comfortably.

Alistair distracts Cali for a short time, and she does the same to him - but he can still help, and he does, treating those wounded whom he can be of help to. Jaxain carries about doing the same thing as well. Once the emergency services arrive and he has done all he can, Alistair goes to find Caliopa once more.

Caliopa glances at Tirzah, "Don't mean I oughtn't to check on her, make sure she is alright." She replies softly, turning back towards Alistair as they return to helping the wounded, confused and frightened. At the end, he finds her sat against a wall, hugging her legs as she watches the emergency services work.

Vixen will put her communicator away, coil up her bullwhip and replace it, then extract her camera again. With no medical knowledge herself, she does what she knows how to do. She films discreetly, keeping from underfoot as she documents the aftermath. There is just a bit of discretion in that, not going for the gore or the shock, but going for the real.
