Jan 30 21:07:12 107 PA - Dinner and a blush
From Chronicles
Logfile from Rifts.
The current game time is: Mon Jan 30 21:07:12 107 PA. Kingsdale - Silver Fork
As you enter the Silver Fork you notice that it is a 'fine' eating establishment with a 'family' atmosphere (*NO WEAPONS ALLOWED*). There are tables for two, larger tables for larger parties, and booths for families. The menu has a variety to items on it, ranging from burgers to filet migion, and ice cream to baked alaska. It all depends on the depth of your pocket. Against one wall is a wet bar, though it has no seats at it, encouraging such patrons to head next door to the Nightingale. The bartender here seems only interested in mixing drinks for the restaurant patrons, and not talking with them.
Several waitresses weave through the restaurant taking and delivering orders. Bus boys clean up the vacant tables for new customers coming in (You will need to @emit your own waitress).

Tirzah <O> Out
Perhaps a bit lavish but in the right part of town Tirzah leads Sage to the Silver Fork where thy now wait for a table. "So any news?" She asks openly, sounding unsure of what to broach.
Unsure of what her partner had in mind, Sage is mildly surprised to find that they're walking into the Silver Fork. "I would have accepted you cooking something for me." She admits softly, before she purses her lips to consider the question. "There have been some new things lately... unless you mean something specific."
"No nothing specific." Tirzah confirms as they get led to a table. "We can ditch for a home made meal if you prefer. Just figured this place was close by and haven't been here in a long while. Actually havent had or gotten to cook in a fair bit. Almost feels foreign thinking about it now."
"Then, I guess I can pick and choose my topics." Sage comments, as she follows Tirzah along to the table. She gives an amused look at the mention of ditching this place. She hmms softly as she considers her partner, "Perhaps it would be safer to remain here... lest I need to rescue the kitchen." She teases gently, before considering which side to sit on.
Tirzah takes the jest with a smirk, taking the side Sage doesn't lean towards in her hesitation. "Actually you know, its been almost a year since we came here." She notes with a content smile before ordering a bottle of wine and perusing the menu.
When the choice is made for her, Sage moves to settle on the other side of the table. When she looks back over to her partner, she can't help but smile. "I suppose it has at that." She replies, "Although, I will guess from you looking at the menu that this visit wasn't so planned as the last one." She comments, before taking up her own menu to peruse.
Tirzah shakes her head in confirmation of the lack of planning. "Nope, but they do say fortune favors the bold right? In which case I must surely one of the most fortunate people in town. Actually I cant really say I am not.." She notes with a sly wink to Sage as the wine arrives.
While her gaze lowers a little, Sage can't help but smile. "I imagine if you weren't bold, we might not be together." She comments, before she raises her gaze back to her partner. The arrival of the wine distracts her for a moment, before she decides not to provide any resistence to being poured a glass of wine. "So... are you thinking anything bold now?" She asks with a raised brow.
"Not particularly, think I used up all of today's bold with Nemain. Her eyes sure lit up though. Now all I need is to ensure my desires don't exceed my purse." She admits before pouring herself a glass of wine to leave the bottle at the center of the table should Sage want it. "On with the news?" She prods, changing the topic perhaps only slightly.
Unsure of whether to be disappointed or not by the bold being used up on another, Sage reaches out to taking up her glass of wine before realizing the glass had not been filled by the waiter as expected. "You do seem to like toys." She comments with a faint little smile coming to her lips, before she bites her lower lip gently as if to stop from adding more or retracting the comment. She reaches out to take the bottle to pour herself a little wine. She takes a sip from it to consider it, but she doesn't spend much time on tasting as the art is lost on her. "Well, I showed Vixen the will that Cali left behind... but she is firm that Cali will come back. So, we've agreed to rent out the garage if we can find a taker. Cali gave myself and Vixen half of the garage." She comments, "Perhaps I should look to speak with Vargus or Leonard to see if they might know a way we could somehow rescue Cali... I have been troubled with the way my attempts to see where she ended up being blocked, though." She gives an apologetic smile, "I never said all of the news would be happy."
Tirzah nods, not looking too disturbed by the nature of the news. "Yes when we went to Salvador she sounded quite optimistic then too.." She pauses, reflecting on her word choice with a slight frown. "Well optimistic doesnt exactly have the right feel but you understand."
Sage nodding faintly to indicate her understanding, before she considers the wine in her glass. "In truth, I am not sure she will return... but I do not wish to seem heartless as if I have already written her off." She comments, "It is like a hole that is asking to be filled." She gives a sigh before taking a sip from her wine before setting the glass aside. "But, this is likely not the time to dwell on such things." She comments before pursing her lips. "Perhaps you would like to hear how my... knife lessons are going?"
Tirzah nods intently as she puts down the menu to indicate she's decided. "Indeed, should we go with blades in our next spar?" She asks with a faint smirk. "Perhaps you'll even dare to spar with a phantom for a real challenge."
When her partner sets down her menu, Sage glances over the menu once more quickly before setting it down. She gives a faint amused smile, "Only if you wish to see someone that is still getting used to the basic motions and holding onto it properly still." She replies before chuckling and shaking her head. "I've also sparred Erica once with no weapons... but it seems she is still growing into herself." She mentions before pausing, "That does remind me of her mentioning something about a dragon hunt. I am unsure whether that is something I should pursue myself... I do wonder if there is something more to it than the farmers that have gotten effected."
Tirzah give a firm look at Sage and a quick shake of her head. "Friendly dragons are risky enough. Hunting one, you sure are getting adventurous of late. Need i remind you of your own words to me to come home safe or at least alive?" She asks with a reserved smile showing she's not overly worried about the prospect. "I have gained the breath of life from my link to the elemental plane. But I don't think I would want to test it out on you love." She explains before the waitress returns and she orders the lasagne.
A brow raises faintly to the woman's firm look, "I never said I was adventurous enough for that." She replies, "But, I take it that you will not be going either?" She asks, "Or shall I be the maiden waiting at home for her... I would say knight in shiny armor, but somehow that doesn't seem to fit you." She chuckles faintly, before pausing. "I suppose I shall need to commune with nature at some point... it may help me find some balance that has become ... difficult recently."
Tirzah shakes her head after taking a sip of her wine. "No, I kinda look at dragons as similar to elementals, mostly misunderstood by mortals. If it had torched a village I may be more inclined, but as it is I'm not going to run for my torch and pitchfork you know?" She explains before shifting to a more curious look. "Perhaps a joint communion with Vadania."
Sage nods faintly to her partner, "I feel it may well be a misunderstanding too." She replies, "And, while people I know may or may not go... I am not sure that is enough reason to be going. If anything, I would rather consider ways to compensate those that have taken losses... assuming they haven't brought it on themselves." She gives a faint amused smile, "But, who am I to judge?" She asks ruefully, before reacting a little shyly - her gaze dropping a little - to the suggestion of communion with Vadania. "She would be a good choice." She comments, before her gaze rises to look at her partner more fully once more. "She comes from an... open culture and offers a friendship unlike any other I have had... I worry that such a relationship would make you jealous if it were allowed to bloom." She lets her gaze drop a little again, before looking up through her lashes at her partner.
"Oh? I strike you as the jealous sort of late? I'll tell you what, you get to be 'good' friends with Vadania if I get to be 'good' friends with Nemain." Tirzah proposes with a wink and smile before taking a large swallow of wine. "I've heard other relationships fall apart because of third parties like this and the significant other jumping to conclusions. I don't see why. If I see someone that turns my gears I'll tell you, tell you why, and then tell you why your better. And you can take from it what you will."
With her gaze still directed through her lashes, Sage shakes her head a little at the question. Her lips curl some in a self-deprecating manner. "No... I am just feeling guilty that we had a moment of closeness even if it remained within the bounds of friendship." She comments, "But, what do you mean by 'good' friends?" She asks softly, raising her gaze fractionally. Her finger lightly plays with the stem of the wine glass. She nods faintly, before offering a smile. "And sometimes I do not have to wonder why I love you." She says fondly.
"Friends that could make a lover jealous of the time spent together?" Tirzah asks in reply. "That seemed to be what you were implying. To me though a good friend is someone I can rely on, and go to if I cannot or am not ready to, go to you. A crash test dummy to confide in and prevent foolish slips around those who are important to us." She pauses, reflecting over her words with another swallow of wine. "Nemain's not a good friend yet though. She's more of a new associate."
"Ah..." Sage replies, "Vadania's culture allows for... more touching between friends than would be normal. She seems rather enlightened and I wish to learn more about her beliefs and her spirits." She pauses briefly, to take up the glass. "I think Vadania will wish to speak with you at some point as well..." She takes a sip from it, before taking a breath. "As for Nemain, I guess that would be a different sort of relationship... so, it may not be a fair comparison."
"Kissing? Petting? Fondling Groping? Spelunking? Ah I know a touch she wont be accustomed to. She cant match our remote controls." Tirzah challenges triumphantly watching for the blush of victory. "Why don't you invite her over for dinner this week? We can talk and maybe touch, a nice massage perhaps. And put this behind us so it does not bother you."
Stated so boldly in a setting like this makes Sage glance to either side before her cheeks got hot even if no one around appears to be playing too much attention. Despite her embarrassment at the comment she manages to send a glare towards Tirzah after a brief moment to collect herself. A faint curl to her lips comes as if she's already thinking of something to get back at her partner for that. The offer of inviting Vadania to dinner seems to seal her defeat, however. She is quiet for a long moment, before she closes her eyes. << I love you. >> She whispers mentally.
Tirzah nods victoriously. "And I love you." She returns with an affectionate smile before finishing her glass of whine as the meals arrive.
