From Chronicles
Logfile from Rifts.
The current game time is: Sun Jan 15 04:07:28 107 PA. Location: Tirzah's apartment
Knowing that she would simply be a third wheel or alone if she stayed over in her other flat she lives in, Sage ends up coming to the apartment of her partner. She uses her key to make sure she can unlock the door and opens it. Now that she's reached the entrance, she begins to feel the emotional energy she's burned up, and she huffs a breath. Then she glances over to Erica. "You can come in, if you want. Can mix you up a nice drink or something." She comments, as she wanders into the apartment and holds the door open long enough for Erica to enter. "Figured Cali and Ali have their own ideas for celebrating."
Erica offers Sage a warm smile as she nods her head. "Thanks I could definitely use a drink." She says as she follows Sage into the apartment. "Why do you live with Cali anyway?" She asks idly as she finds a chair and flops herself into it. "Why not live with Tirzah since your getting married and all?" Having come home first to release the fire elemental and stash her globes for another rainy day Tirzah sits on the floor by the fireplace, playing with the embers idly.
Nodding her head, Sage offers a faint smile before she closes the door behind the other woman. "What's your pleasure then?" She asks, before raising a brow at the question. "Cali is like a sister to me... and she took me in when I was new around here." She responds before getting a mildly amused look, "That, and she doesn't take care of herself well enough for my liking." She adds, before shaking her head softly. "Tirzah, are you here?" She asks, not really wanting to search around the place for the other woman.
"Oh ok, but you are going to move in after the wedding right?" Erica says with a quick shrug of her shoulders. She leans back in the chair she is sitting in and lets out a little sigh of contentment. She looks up to see if she can spot where Tirzah is.
"I am." Comes a bit of a dull reply from the redhead by the fireplace. She looks tired and a bit forlorn, a strong drink already mostly finished beside her.
A faintly amused look comes at the question, but Sage doesn't seem to be inclined to answer the question for the time being. She doesn't look very energetic herself, and had hoped that she might return to something energetic. She takes a breath, before she begins to slowly move over towards her partner. "I thought a small quiet celebration might help... but, maybe I should have asked first before bringing a guest." She offers in a tone that suggests an apology, before she holds out her arms to offer an embrace.
Erica frowns as she gnaws on her lower lip. "I can go if you want Tirzah. Not to worry." She sits up in the chair and moves to stand up in case she is asked to leave. "I wouldn't want to be a bother." She offers as she looks at Tirzah with concern. "What is bothering you Tirzah?"
Tirzah rises to accept the embrace, managing a weak smile. "No stay, friends are always welcome here. I just mope for a while after releasing an elemental. They are very dear to me." She explains before finishing her drink.
Squeezing her partner, Sage lets the feel and smell of the other woman wash over her. "And here I thought you might have been worried for me." She replies with a light teasing quality to it. She turns her head to kiss her partner's cheek. "Its okay... we should mix up some special drinks... for doing what must be done... and coming back to tell the tale." She comments, "Or at least, that'll be the excuse I use to lean on you a little as we go to the kitchen." She adds musingly. "Aww I'm sorry you had to release it. I hate saying goodbye myself." Erica says as she leans back in her chair. She watches Sage give Tirzah a peck and her lips curve into a smile. "I like special drinks. What did you have in mind?" She asks with a little giggle in her voice.
Tirzah nods, having no trouble with Sage leaning on her as she walks to the kitchen. "Well, what type of special do you have in mind Sage? She asks before moving to detach from her partner momentarily and see what she has in the fridge.
While Sage might not be tired enough that she has to lean on Tirzah, its the physical contact that she likely craves for the moment. "Depends on your favourite colour, Erica." She suggests, before looking to Tirzah with pursed lips. "Something relaxing..." She murmurs, as she considers the available bottles. "What kind of herbs do we have around?"
Erica ponders the color question for a moment before answering. "Well I like pink a lot." She says with a giggle before she rolls her head around a little bit. "Are you going to drug me with your herbs Sage?"
"Have everything that can be picked locally. The foreign stocks are a little low. Wasn't a great season with the war starting up." Tirzah explains as she extraces an ornate silver platter holding bricks of fudge from the freezer to set it on the counter.
"Burn a little sweetgrass..." Sage murmurs, before taping two bottles that will mix together to get the pink colour that they'll need. "Add a little fruit juice for flavour..." She comments, "And, whatever you want to rub along the rim." She comments, before turning to look back towards Erica. "Oh, shush." She replies. "You going to drug me and sell me off to the slavers?" Erica says while laughing softly. She sits up a bit to try to see what is going on in the kitchen. "What does sweetgrass do?"
Tirzah follows the instructions silently, having no intention of ruining the surprise. "We'll all be sold to slavers if that's that case as I intend to have a good number of these." She notes, pulling out a pitcher of cranberry juice and a bowl of strawberries.
"Why would I sell you off now? I have yet to learn how to use knives well... and I'm not vain enough that I need to keep my undefeated sparring record intact." She picks up the container with the burning sweetgrass to walk out to where the couches are and presumably where they'll end up gathered. As she approaches, she wafts some of the incense towards Erica. "Smell and see."
Erica leans forward and takes a little smell of the burning sweetgrass. She closes her eyes as she smells it and makes a little "Mmm" sound. "That smells pretty nice." She leans back into her chair and opens her eyes back up. "Hopefully next time I'll be able to keep up with you Sage. I wouldn't want to get beat too often." Giggling softly she crosses her legs before adding. "So when did you want to start that knife training?"
Tirzah raises a brow at the mention of knife training and smirks silently. Closing the fridge she collects a bowl of mixed nuts from the cupboard. Then all three sweets and treats will be taken over to the couches.
Smiling softly to the woman's reaction, Sage places the incense onto the table before looking back towards the kitchen briefly. "Need me to grab anything?" She asks softly to her partner, before looking back to Erica. "I think I was just in the zone or something that day." She comments, before pausing briefly. "Soon... I'd like to know how to use that those before too long... I'm sure they'll be great for helping me defend myself."
Erica offers Sage a warm smile. "Well you did really well. I hope I can do a bit better myself next time. I'm sure you'll do just as well. Well we can start right away if you want. I have some practice knives at home that we can use." Her eyes widen a little bit as she looks over the array of treats. She reaches out and picks up a little bit of fudge and starts eatting it.
"You get the drinks and the cream darling." Tirzah reminds Sage before seating herself on the couch and collecting a strawberry to suckle.
When Tirzah arrives with the treats, Sage's gaze considers them before her expression turns thoughtful as she glances towards her partner. "Alright." She replies softly, before she begins to move towards the kitchen to retrieve the drinks. "That sounds good... I guess we can use that sparring area again... shouldn't have to worry about bumping into anyone there." She comments, before she collects the drinks and to place on a tray. She carries them back to the couches. She'll offer each woman a drink before she sets her own down on the table as well as the cream.
Erica chews on the fudge quickly before swallowing down her bite. She looks up at Sage as the other woman offers Erica her drink. Giving Sage a quick smile she picks up her pink drink and takes a little sip of it. "Oh wow this is good. Thank you." The strawberry doesnt last long and tirzah chases it down with a slice of fudge before pouring herself a shot of cream. "Mmm, we haven't done this for far too long love. Hope you like it all Erica."
While she hadn't quite envisioned all of this being brought out, Sage seems to find the smell of the sweetgrass, the sip of her drink and a cream-dipped fudge piece to her liking as she finally takes a seat on the couch with a soft sigh of relief. She looks over to Tirzah with a smile, "I suppose it has." She comments, before she adopts a comfortable enough posture on the couch and still be able to reach far enough out to claim the occasional treat or sip of her dirnk.
Erica nods her head quickly. "It is all wonderful. Thank you so much. I haven't had anything like this in a while." She takes another bite of the fudge and lets out another sigh of contentment as she relaxes. She takes another sip of her drink before asking. "So how is the wedding planning coming?"
Tirzah raises a brow. "Planning? We're not having anything extravagant. Just some good friends and family for the ceremony and then a good time at the Alibi." She explains before taking and handful of nuts and a large swallow from her drink. Sage reaches out with her hand to lightly trail her fingers through Tirzah's short hair. "And, after that, I'm sure we'll figure something out." She says softly, with a smile before takes up her drink once more to sip lightly from her drink. She claims a strawberry this time to amuse herself. Her gaze shifting to Erica. "And, I'm glad you like our little gathering." She comments softly, before taking in another breath to take in the incense once more. "Certainly nicer than what we've been through..." She allows a little frown to come as one concern comes to mind before she dismisses it. Apparently it is too soon to push from her mind, however.
Erica giggles with her soft voice as she takes a long drink from her pink drink. "Any plans for a honeymoon?" Leaning forward she picks up a strawberry and dips it in the cream before taking a bite out of it. "Oh yes much better company then the giant spider."
"Giant spider?" Tirzah asks with some curiosity and her gaze focussed on Erica as she munches down the nuts. "Someone had a pest problem?"
The question of the honeymoon just draws a smile from Sage, before she glances towards Tirzah. "The spider from my vision..." She comments, "And, it shouldn't be anymore... Alistair killed it." She comments, before reaching out for some nuts herself. She'll slowly eat them one by one for the moment.
"Yah he used a really big shoe to crush it." Erica says with a little laugh before she finishes off her strawberry. She reaches out and picks up another strawberry. "I wasn't of much help though."
Tirzah nods, remembering the vision described to her somewhat and looking relieved Alistair killed it. "Well I cant really think of anywhere special to go for a honeymoon. So I imagine we'll stay home for a full week and wait on each others every whim." She poses before taking another slice of fudge.
"Not a shoe exactly... but, I, for one, was relieved when I didn't have to run from that elemental... in that wierd place anymore... at least it hit more foes than friends." Sage comments, feeling a little confidence from having been able to stand up to it in some respect. She glances towards Erica with a brow raised, "It isn't about who did the most... you went through it just like the rest of us." Then she pauses as she hears Tirzah's words and looks over to the other woman. She shifts her position to move closer to her partner, "A full week, hm?" She asks, sounding approving of the idea. "I'd object if I could think of somewhere I'd rather go... but, I can't right now."
Erica shrugs her shoulders quickly as she nods her head. "Yah I guess your right. I'll just have to get a weapon that doesn't rely on lasers some time. Maybe a rail gun or something." She finishes off her second strawberry and then takes another sip of her drink. "Sounds like a fun week to me."
"Yeah by then we should be sick of each other and things will be back to normal." Tirzah adds with a kidding smirk and wink.
Sage nods her head faintly to Erica's comment, dragging her attention away from Tirzah for the moment. "I learned that against the undead... although, I ended up finding a different sort of protection." She glances back to Tirzah with a smile, before makes a noise of amusement and gives Tirzah a playful push. "Guess I won't look for a preview then." She replies, letting her partner go for another drink. She settles back into her original position as she looks back to Erica and takes up her drink.
Erica leans back in her chair as she studies her drink for a moment before taking another sip of it. "Well I think you got some pretty good loot from that undead adventure." She says with a giggle and a quick look at Tirzah. "I wish I found something as good."
"Made me want to get environmental body armor if nothing else." Sage replies, "A blood creature was able to get by my old armor and..." She makes a face, before shaking it off and deciding not to continue unless prompted. She considers the other woman for a moment as she sips from her drink. "Looking for something in particular?" She asks softly, before claiming a fudge dripped in cream again for her own pleasure.
Erica grimaces as she nods her head slowly. Her grimace quicklyy goes away and turns into a smile as she takes a quick sip of her drink. "I'm not sure. I haven't really been in a lot of relationships. I just would like to meet someone nice, but it seems like everyone is already taken." She shrugs her shoulders again as she grabs a bit of fudge. "I don't know."
"It can seem that way." Sage replies, "Had some nibbles but nothing really stuck at first." She gives a faint shrug to the notion. She purses her lips as she considers her drink. "I almost wonder if I should ask you a hypothetical question." She says softly, before she takes a sip from her drink.
Erica gnaws on her lower lip and nods her head. "Please do. I want you to ask me anything. We are friends and I want us to be completly honest with each other." She says before taking another quick sip of her drink. She gets up from her chair and joins you on the couch while picking up a piece of fudge along the way.
Sage's gaze raises from the drink to rest on Erica, before offering a small smile. There's a little amusement in her eyes too. "It is a silly question either way." She comments, "But, assuming no one was taken ... and that your difficulty isn't your approach... who would interest you most?" She asks, before raising a brow faintly as the other woman joins her on the couch.
Erica gnaws on her lower lip and blushes, turning her skin a soft shade of pink. "Uh... well I guess I would choose you, but of course your taken." She giggles softly and obviously nervously as her blush deepens. She takes a long drink of her drink before she starts nibbling on the fudge
Trying not to watch the woman too closely after the question, Sage sips from her drink. She does get that smile on her lips when people blush around her, though. She nods faintly as if something has been explained, but there is some amusement that creeps into her features if something else has occurred to her. To cover it, she reaches out to grab herself a strawberry and dip it within the cream. She holds it over the cream, as she glances back to Erica. "And, if Tirzah were to ask you, would you say her?" She asks, unable to keep a little playfulness out of her tone. Erica laughs softly and sticks out her tongue at Sage playfully. She gives Sage a bit of a raspberry with her tongue before she pops the fudge into her mouth and eats it. "No I would not say that. I think your great although your sense of humor could use a little tweaking." She says in her own playful manner.
Amusement comes to her eyes as the other woman reacts, before Sage chuckles and tries to defend herself against the slight raspberry. "It seems just fine from where I'm sitting." She says, entirely amused now. "Although, I do wonder if it would bruise poor Tirzah's ego to know where she rates with you." She muses softly, before she decides to enjoy her cream-dipped strawberry.
Erica laughs again as she leans back on the couch. "Well I think Tirzah would also say that you are the best, so I think we can agree on that." She leans forward again grabs a strawberry and dips it in cream before leaning back again. "But anyways you are taken. So unless I can clone you I'll have to keep looking."
"That wasn't exactly the question, but you are kind to say so." Sage replies softly, before she relaxes back onto the couch as well. She purses her lips as she considers the other woman, before sipping on her drink once more and finding it empty afterward. She sets the glass down on the table. "The number two then?" She asks simply. Erica leans her head to the side for a moment as she thinks about it. "Well Vadania is very nice, and so is Tirzah. I guess it would be a tie between the two of them." She says as she finishes off her own drink and leans forward to set it on the table. "What about you? Who is your number two?"
"A tie, hm?" Sage says, contemplating the answer. "I haven't been around Vadania enough to really know her... but, I imagine it would be interesting to see you try to court Tirzah." The last part she muses, "Ignoring current circumstances, of course." She raises a brow as she gets asked about a number two. She purses her lips, hmm'ing softly to herself as she gives a thoughtful pause. "If it were a man... then, perhaps Alistair... he seems to make Cali really happy and he's nice enough on the eyes." She comments, "If it were a woman..." She trails off, "Its hard to look past the relationships I've developed already with some... and, there has only been one other to show interest in me." She glances at Erica, "So, should I give you the honorable mention?" She asks with a lightly teasing tone.
Erica laughs again as she shrugs her shoulders quickly again. "Alistair is pretty easy on the eyes. I haven't talked to him much though." Letting out a little sigh she stands up. "I think it is time for me to get going. I'm sorry but it is getting a bit late." She offers you a quick smile before she starts heading to the door.
