Having bumped into Erica, Sage walks with her towards the sparring area. "Tirzah has wanted me to become better at defending myself... although, she makes for an odd teacher. I suppose I may learn a little more about that by going through friendly sparring." She comments, before pausing off to one side once they're within the sparring room. "I'm not quite sure who would be best to ask... but we wont have to go any further for healing than me." She adds softly before raising her brow slightly.

"Well I'm happy to help you out if you want Sage. We can spar together. I know a few moves, and maybe I can teach you something. Or maybe you can teach me something." Erica says with a quick wink. "Want to give it a try?" She asks as she unbuckles her utility belt and holsters. She places them both down near the sparring ring before she start doing some stretches.

Having already changed into her workout clothing and stowed anything else away in a locker in the changing room, Sage doesn't really need to set anything aside. "It may be more getting used to being in combat and reacting to it more naturally." She comments, "But, hopefully we can learn from each other... if we're going to do this." She comments, before she walks over towards the sparring ring as well. She begins to stretch out herself.

Erica bends down to touch her toes before standing back up. She moves her upper body back and forth and then rotates her head all around. Finally finishing her stretching she climbs up into the sparring ring and hops up and down a few times. "Yah lets do it. I'm always happy to help, and I could use the practice for sure." She says as she stops hopping and moves into a ready stance. "We can start by you throwing a couple punches at me and then work from there."

Sage works on limbering herself up mainly to make sure that she doesn't cramp up or tire too quickly. She climbs into the match after going through the basic stretches. She hops and moves around a little like someone who's taught the fundamentals for a moment. She looks over to Erica with a small smile, "Okay, hopefully we don't end up regretting this." She says lightly enough. She nods to the idea, moving around a little to make Erica respond to her change of position. When she comes in, she'll offer a jab with one hand to get the woman to defend against it before following it up with a hook.

Erica offers Sage a warm smile as the other women gets into the ring. "Don't worry. I'm sure it will be fine." She moves around with Sage keeping herself facing Sage as her expression changes to one of concentration. As Sage throws that first jab she quickly dodges to the side. With the hook She raises her arm up to try to block it and manages to catch it just in time. She keeps her arms close to her side with her hands held up to block her face. "Very good. Nice punches. I like the combo there."

Whether Sage may have held back on the first combo is hard to tell, but she seems to be pleased with the other woman reacting to her attack. She keeps her own guard up rather than dropping it for the time being. She backs away a little bit before keep her feet moving with little hops. "What would you like next?" She asks. Erica flashes Sage another quick smile before her expression turns serious again. "Well why don't you try a kick or two. then we can work of throwing me if you want. A good body throw will put you in a great position. After that we can do some blocking exercises." She says before bouncing closer to Sage.

A thoughtful look comes as Sage watches the other woman comes closer. She nods after a moment to woman. The hopping of the feet comes to a stop until she begins to walk a little more in a ready stance. She decides on a simple outside leg kick when she's ready to strike. Not something that will do great damage on its own, but could wear down an opponent in a fight.

Erica watches you throw that kick and she moves her arm down quickly to catch the outside kick on her arm. She gives a little grunt as she catches the force of Sage's kick. She quickly moves her arm back up to protect her face as she nods her head. "Good job. Now let's try a body throw."

A little bit of an odd look comes when the other woman chooses to use the arm to block the kick, but Sage doesn't dwell on it. She moves back a little at the mention of a body throw, "Well, that may be a little hard with your current posture.." She muses, before she begins to set herself for the other woman's reaction.

Erica raises an eyebrow curiously at Sages reaction but she shrugs her shoulders quickly and ignores it. She lowers her arms and relaxes a bit. "Well just move me into whatever position you want, so that you can throw me. How do you want me?" She asks as she relaxes her stance.

"Tirzah was charging me to provoke the body throw." Sage comments before she shrugs faintly to move in closer to the other woman. "Just thought it was better to use on an unbalanced foe." When the other woman relaxes her stance a little, she selects one of the woman's arms. She tries to cause the other woman to unbalance by pulling the arm up and forward. Her body moves to put the other woman on her hip with a little impact in hopes of causing a little imbalance to put the other woman against her back. Then, tries to bring the other woman over her shoulder to release. It may end up being a motion that works with a little more momentum of the opponent.

Erica squeaks as she feels Sage use her arm to throw her off balance despite anticipating it. She rolls over Sage's hip and squeaks as she falls down on the mat. Her squeak turns into a grunt as she falls to the mat with a little thud. "Good. You can throw without the other person charging, but of course it helps a lot if they are." Shaking her head for a moment she hops back up to her feet. "Well you ready to start sparring properly then?"

With her training, Sage can be functional but likely not overly skillful as better trained people would be. She likely had to use a little more muscle to accomplish the task than a martial artist. She nods to the comments made by Erica, "It was a little difficult to do so." She replies before she begins to hop once more. Her gaze runs over the other woman. "Sure... but, you'll probably win." She comments with a playful challenge.

Erica brings her hands upback to protect her face as she moves into a ready stance. She starts hopping a little to get ready. "Well let us see who wins. Who knows you might be better then you thought." Her expression changes to one of concentration as she moves closer to you and throws a quick punch at you.

A small smile comes to Sage's lips when she hears the comment, "And, I promise not to cheat." She teases lightly before becoming more serious herself. She hops along to make a moving target. When the other woman moves in, she watches her intent. She moves her arm to deflect the blow before following the motion with a punch towards the woman's mid-section.

The current game time is: Thu Jan 12 09:08:42 107 PA. Erica watches as Age blocks her punch easily and your counter attack catches her a little unawares and she grunts with the impact. She hops back and offers Sage a quick smile before her expression returns to one of concentration. She moves back in quickly and throws a high kick at Sage.

Watching the other woman, Sage tries to be ready for the return attack of the woman. She realizes the attack is going to come high, but she guesses wrong on the block and grunts herself as she lets herself move in the direction the kick in an attempt to lessen the sting. It makes her tenative for a moment before she comes back to engage. As if tit for tat, she ends up moving to kick. She keeps her foot low trying for somewhere around the outside of the leg around the mid-point.

Erica also guesses wrong as she moves to parry Sage's kick high and instead gets hit with a low kick. Grunting with the impact she trys to roll with the kick to lesson it. Nodding her head head in admiration she throws a karate style punch at Sage as she starts to get serious, trying to use her strength to but Sage on the defensive.

Once hit with that kick, Sage didn't quite have the heart to trade pleasantries to compliment the kick. Her expression is more concentration that trying react to each success or failure. This time, she guesses right but is just a little too slow to divert the punch away. It may not strike the intended mark, but it doesn't seem to matter. The impact delays her response enough that the other woman is likely recovering her positioning too. Mixing it up, she decides to try and simply stomp on the other's foot for a distraction.

Sage's foot stomp works pretty well and it very much serves to distract her. Erica squeals out as her foot is hit hard. She hops up and down as she whimpers from the pain and it takes her a while to regain her composure and she doesn't get the chance to counter attack. After a moment she puts her foot back on the ground and moves back into a combat stance.

While she feels sympathy for the other's pain, Sage has been goaded by Tirzah not to hold back. She realizes the other woman will take a moment longer to recover. Seeing her opportunity, she tries to rush the other woman intent on knocking the other woman to the ground with her body.

Erica barely gets back into position before Sage comes rushing at her. The blow of Sage hits her hard but she manages to keep on her feet. Shaking her head she bounces back before throwing another karate style punch. She looks at Sage with appreciation and respect even while she throws her punch.

Confidence seems to build in Sage as she seems to get the other woman off balance. The punch that comes from Erica seems to simply be swatted aside like a buzzing insect. It may be a missed opportunity when she doesn't try to use that poor bunch to toss the other woman to the floor, but she instead goes for the opening to bring in a hook in the void of the defense.

Erica frowns as her punch doesn't happen at all how she wanted. She furrows her brow in concentration and trys to get back in the fight. Seeing Sage's hook coming in she raises an arm to block it and moves in to throw an elbow at Sage's midsection, hoping to knock the wind out of the other woman.

When her own block fails to connect, Sage nearly leaves herself open to the counter-attack. She seems to catch a glimpse of the woman's intent enough to bring her arm back to defend. Their elbows clash, likely leaving an odd sensation running through both woman's arms. She resets, eyeing her opponent. With the other woman likely defending high, Sage strikes out with her fist towards the midsection of the other woman as she presses on.

Erica shakes her arm quickly to get the tingling out of it. She hops back as her elbow failed and her movement causes Sage's attack to fall a little short. She pivots on one leg and kicks low trying to use her strength to hit the other woman's leg hard and maybe knock her off balance.

Living in the moment of the sparing match, Sage keeps focused on her opponent. When her punch falls short of the mark, she's already looking for the counter. A shifting of her leg position allows her to minimize the impact and allows her to step closer to the other woman. She focuses once more on the gut to drive her fist once more towards the other's midsection

Erica knocks Sage's fist away with her arm and quickly moves in again to throw another elbow at the other woman. Her movements are quick as she trys to throw the elbow up and at the other woman's stomach before hopping back.

Despite the small frustrating setbacks when she had the upperhand, Sage does her best not to let it show. The other woman hasn't quite managed a good strike in a little bit. She gets her other arm to reach out and push the offending elbow to the side. She tries to catch the other woman before she hops back with her knee, though.

Erica is surprised by Sage's knee strike and she crys out as it catchs her right in the stomach. The wind is knocked out of Erica and she crumbles down to the mat while trying to catch her breath. She shakes her head trying to regain her focus, but she lies there on the mat for a little bit. Raising a hand she gestures that you beat her.

The connection of the knee seems more solid than Sage had expected. The surprise of it and the other woman falling to the mat boosts her morale once more. It isn't until she realizes the other woman seems to be injured that any triumph burns away into concern. "Erica!" She calls out in concern as she drops down on her knees beside the other woman. Her hand reaches out to touch the other woman. "I'm sorry..." She says, as she looks over the other woman. "Are you hurt bad?" Her concern seeming to be genuine. "Oh..." She replies, "Lay on your back... I know something that may help." She comments, hoping the woman will be able to do so on her own.

Erica shakes her head as she finally manages to catch her breath. "It... it is ok. You just knocked the wind out of me. I think I'll be ok." She offers Sage a weak smile as she manages to uncurl a bit. "Don't be scared I'll be ok. You just caught me by surprise." At Sage's suggestion she lays down on her back while her lips are still curled in a faint smile. "You are a pretty good fighter Sage."

When the other woman rolls onto her back, Sage begins to move towards the woman's legs. It strikes her just as she begins to bend down that the other woman is speaking more. She pauses to consider the other woman and notices the breathing motion seems to already be becoming easier. "I guess the worst has past." She replies, before wanding back to kneel down beside the woman. "And, I guess you can blame Tirzah a little... she goads me... so what I lack with skill, I try to make up for in fierceness... but I think you'll still beat me at some point." She comments, before smiling down at her. "Shall I make sure you don't bruise now?" She asks with a little humour now that she's sure the other woman is alright.

Erica's smile grows as she nods her head quickly. "Well Tirzah has done a good job. I think we can make a fighter out of you yet." She relaxs a bit while lying on her back. "Oh yes please I would appreciate it if you made sure I didn't bruise. Otherwise I think I'll be a bit sore tomorrow." She giggles in her soft little voice as she watches what Sage does curiously.

"She knows that I'm not typically violent." Sage says with a little ruefulness coming into her expression at what she had just done. "But, I would appreciate any help... it seems I will need it." She nods faintly to the response, "In that case, I will need to focus." She replies before shifting into a more comfortable sitting position. "You can hold my hand if you wish..." She closes her eyes then to focus on her healing energies. It will take a couple minutes before Sage seems to come out of her meditative trance, but when she does she'll be able to let her energies flow into the other woman's body to knit the wounds that she had caused in her victory over the other woman.

Erica reaches up and takes Sage's hand in her own. She gives that hand a little squeeze as she watches Sage attentively. Gnawing on her lower lip she waits patiently until Sage comes out of her meditation. She licks her lips a little nervously as she waits for the healing.

Sage's eye open as she comes out of the trance, and her lips curl into a small smile. She lightly frees her hand to be able to lightly touch the areas where she had struck the other woman, letting her healing energies fill those areas. She takes a breath as she feels the ability ebb back into her, letting her gaze roam back to the other woman. "How do you feel now?" She asks softly.

Erica gasps loudly as she feels that healing energy flow through her. She gives Sage's hand another squeeze as her eyes widen. Giveing Sage a warm smile she sits up after the other women finishes healing her. "Oh I feel great. Thank you so much for doing that. "That is a pretty good trick."

"It is the least that I could do." Sage replies softly, smiling to the other woman before she glances to the side at the clearing of a throat. She looks back to Erica with amusement. "Although, it seems we better move before we tax anyone else's patience for this ring." She adds softly before she begins to rise to her feet.

Erica hops up to her feet and rolls her head around for a moment before she heads out of the ring. "Yes, but we will have to try this again. Maybe next time my luck will be a bit better." She says as she walks over and retrieves her utility belt and her holsters. Quickly she straps her belt back on before she starts to head out.

"I'm sure Tirzah would be pleased to know I have a sparring partner now." Sage replies as she moves over to the side of the ring to slip out of it. She hops down to the floor, waiting for the other woman to retrieve her gear. "And, perhaps at some point we'll find something that you can teach me... and hopefully I wont have to heal myself of too many bruises." She comments before she begins to walk with the other woman.
