With all that's going on in her life, Sage has a feeling that tonight is not one to used like any other. There may be questions never asked, comments never shared should the worst happen. Along the way, she's slipped into the dark red dress that Tirzah had given her along with the shimmering leggings and the shoes. She sips from a glass of a drink she put together to sooth any nerves. At some point Tirzah will surely arrive.

Tirzah surely does through the font door this time. Taking a moment to shed her coat et cetera at the door. Coming around in her cobalt shirt she notices Sage's presence perferally at first before turning into the kitchen. "Hey love." She greets casually as she fixes herself a cool cider. Yesterday was very different, having been spending all week trying to summon and elemental without success was very trying on her nerves. She summoned it today though and it waits complacently in the fire. Her mood is much better for it as well, though it still manages to improve to a near swoon as she turns to see Sage in 'the' dress.

When her partner arrives, Sage takes her last sip of her drink for now before setting the glass down. "Hey..." She replies simply, biding her time for the moment and stalks towards where her partner goes. An almost predatory smile comes to her lips when she realizes her partner has noticed her attire. She moves close, but doesn't reach out to touch her partner. "You will answer me honestly." She says, not really making it a question.

The statement gives Tirzah a moments trepidation, causing her gaze to search her partner carefully. Immediately she realizes the swoon gave away too much, but she still seems relaxed accepting that fact. "Have I ever lied to you?" She asks in turn, knowing that til now the concept was unquestioned. Which led to a wondering expression to what's changed.

There is an intensity in Sage's gaze, but there doesn't seem to be any anger or worry in her features for the time being. Likely feeling she's grabbed the dominant position for the time being. Her lips curl slightly, but the expression seems to suggest that's beside the point. "That is not in question." She replies, "The real question would be whether you hold back to spare my feelings. Tonight, that is not a concern unless I say otherwise." She gives the woman a quick glance over before turning, "Come... I'd rather not find out after the fact that it would be best that you be seated." She says, before letting a slightly sensual sway enter the way she moves as she heads towards the couches.

Tirzah must have missed the moment when Sage went from being the student of manipulation to the tutor. Thus she is visibly on the ropes where Sage wants her until she is invited to sit. Still looking very unsure of what is about to be sprung on her. She does follow and take the offered seat though. Waiting patiently and silently and making know move save for one small sip from her cider.

How long the moment of Sage seeming like the tutor will last is hard to say. It is perhaps the mood or the importance that draws this from her. She settles down on the couch nearby where it would take a little more effort than simply reaching out to touch her. She gazes at Tirzah for a moment, before she begins to speak. "When you first became interested in me, you had thought to have both Sebastien and I. Since then, you have ... loved me faithfully." She comments, not really giving any pause for comment. "You have flirted with others, but never strayed. Now..." She isn't quite sure how to put this, so she ends up just plowing through before she losses her earned dominance of the moment, "I ask you whether you still desire the possibility of a second mate or whether you would want one fling before we are joined as recognized mates?"

Sage's suggestion of sitting is clearly well intentioned as Tirzah takes considerable time thinking this out. "There is no one I want a fling with purely for attraction before the wedding. Certainly there are several with whom I would benefit from for the venture. But I'm not a whore. Though I think some levels of intimacy are more lenient than others. As for the possibility of a second mate that is tricky. My policy's always been 'with your approval' and those who haven't attained mine are simply unaware of that policy. Was really a way to avoid the subject. Until now apparently..." She pauses, letting what she's said so far be acknowledged.

That it takes her partner a while to think tells Sage that the question is likely not to be answered off-handedly. She doesn't rush the topic as she simply lets her gaze become unfocused but partially on Tirzah while she waits. "Perhaps the second option was improper to ask." She replies, as her attention returns to the other woman. "Nor was I trying to imply you were a whore. I have just heard some people take advantage of bachelorette parties to ... have one night to... be free of restriction. So, I guess this means we'll still be able to look each other in the eye afterward." Her last comment in laced with a little humour, before she considers the second mate topic. She nods her head faintly, "I doubt that I would have grown to love Sebastien. That would have made for a very tricky relationship... and we might not be sitting here and now if it was agreed to." She purses her lips, as if considering what to say next.

Tirzah shakes her head firmly in the negative. "Sebastien's totally out of the question and has been for some time. So lets drop that now. I assume this is coming up because there is someone else who you are attracted to. I admit I cant help but feel jealous of this even though I am not vain enough to think I am the perfect additive to completely fill your life. I'm going to want some rules for this arrangment, but I also want them to be fair. And who is it?" She asks directly. Her tone is very measured now making her conscious control of her reactions quite obvious.

"I was just saying why that wouldn't have worked back then." Sage replies, "I have even less interest in him now anyway." She raises a brow as the other woman turns the question back on her. "There is no arrangement that needs to be made." She smiles faintly, "Someone flirting with me just made me think on the past." She shrugs, shifting to move a little closer to Tirzah now. "If your balance wont be thrown off by giving up the possibility, I'm sure we'll manage just fine on our own."

Tirzah things through the words but seems to find little resolution as confusion shows. "I must have misinterpreted something.. How would giving up the possibility throw off my balance? If anything to me it cements it with you as my firm support." She says, her arm reaching around Sage's shoulders comfortably as she moves closer. Sipping her cider again she nods. "There was a time when I was wondering if Katsumi would make a good addition to us. She seemed very 'interested' in me. But she never really made the effort to get to know me and that fell to the side. Haven't really felt any potential in anyone else since."

"You are growing and burning brighter... I had wondered if you might grow too big for me to balance." Sage replies softly in admission, likely realizing her dominance is waning if it still remains. "I haven't really had a chance to speak with her... so I couldn't really say." She comments, "I haven't really had many people seem to interested in me ... but Erica seems to enjoy flirting with me. Seems harmless enough, though." She comments, "We'll need to decide on the type of priest we find I suspect... and, I'm thinking the bath house could be one place to hit for the bachelorette party." She adds.
