With the day dragging on towards midday, Kid is just shoving some aged books back into their places in the myths and religion section of the grand ole library. Things are starting to pick up and the soft background noise of pages being flipped, low level conversations and people just shuffling here and there lingers in the air. Kid herself looks to be in an irritable mood, perhaps evidenced by the way in which she handles the books. Fortunately, they can stand up to a little rough treatment, the truly fragile tomes kept under lock and key.

Soft steps roundig the corning, can be heard as Rune, nose deep in a book labeled, 'Ancient Greek Mythology'. If Kid too is too distracted Rune might just pass her, or well depending on her stance might even bump into her. Though as he walks random words are read off, "..daughter..Zues..arrows..hunter.."

Since Kid turns after the last book is put away, thus she spots Rune as he approaches. Her expression firms up for a moment before relaxing somewhat again. "Good way to knock into something," she states. By the time she says this, she's back to looking vaguely peeved, her tone lending to the undirected quality of her mood. Of course, she isn't fully in his path, but a few moments could have produced a bump.

Rune looks up as he stops when the voice comes at him. Glasses reflecting the partial light from around the room to give a slight sinister look. Though as it passes a warm smile crosses his face. "..here to cause trouble or find knowledge?" A vague question, and asked as he turns to a near by shelf to place the book he was reading away.

Kid takes a moment before deciding on just what to say with regards to that, eyes flicking to the side slightly before they snap back to Rune. "I guess that depends on if you know anything about magic helmets and freakish owls," she responds. "That sort of thing ring any bells?"

Rune doesn't turn away from the shelf just yet, but does reach over for a book and pulls it out slowly. "..I think this might help you." The book is titled, 'Modern Greek Lore'. As he turns to hand it to you, he takes in a deep solid breath. "Are you curious about the creature stating she was a God? In the park the other week?"

"She isn't a god," Kid states, her eyes dipping to the book with a dubious expression and no obvious intent to actually take it. "She was one of my friends.. and that helmet.. possessed her or something. But it's off her now and out there." She lifts her eyes from the book and frowns a little. "I need to find it.. and get rid of it."

Rune nods as he looks down in through, and raises in a genuine manner of showing that he cares. "..I will help where I can. You seem to be on a noble quest, so why not?" The man says in a fatherly like tone. "..But tell me more about this helmet. How did you know it took her over? And where did she find it?"

Kid snorts faintly. "Yeah, tell that shit to the elf. He says the thing isn't evil. Like fucking hell it ain't," she states. She pauses, then says, "Hold on.. let me brain this down for you a bit. From what I can find, it started with another former friend. From what I can tell, she got this thing sent to her, but I can't find out who did. She ended up taking a dive off a roof, thinking she was immortal. Then another friend that lived with her disappeared after that.. I bet she came across the thing and it took her over too. The one you saw was another former friend. But the helmet was snagged off her before she could do something fatal and she's back to being as bitchy as ever. Don't ask me how they lost it, but now it's out there somewhere and considering the pattern, it could be after me next."

Rune thinks about this and leans back on the edge of a shelf. "..I wonder.." A pause, "..could it be.." A pause, "Hmm.." This all said as he thinks to himself. "The Elf, you say? Atticus?" Another pause as he stains straighter. "Was there a name to this helmet?"

"Yeah, him," Kid confirms simply. "And I dunno the name, just what she called herself while she had the stupid thing on her head." She pauses then and frowns. "Like.." Another pause, her brow furrowing slightly. "Minera, that's it." She snaps her fingers as she comes up with the name. "Dunno if the helmet or the owl has a name.. not like they can talk and I don't know much about that kinda stuff." Her shoulders roll slightly.

Rune nods his head, and looks around and hands the book he grabbed earlier. "..well there is a goddess named Minerva, or well in other names she is known as Athena. I haven't been able to find anyting specific yet. But I will keep searching." A pause. "..I too have been doing research on this being and the entire pantheon. They are Gods of Light, and very dominate here on this planet. Mostly from what I can learn, in the land of Europe. But for this helmet. I will look deeper into this."

Kid scowls faintly. "Well, then whoever made that shit up has a strange idea about 'light'," she says sourly. "You don't usually go around possessing people and having them jump off buildings. But I suppose you don't have to play by many rules if you've got that kinda power.. like most people." She lifts a finger as she states, "Just don't try and be like the elf and stop me if I decide to waste the things, cause I'm not letting nothing take over my mind. Good, bad or indifferent."

Rune thinks about this and says, "..I'd rather try and study it, so we can make sure that no lasting damage or effects will take place on those that have worn this helmet." The man makes no attempt at arguing what is good and what is evil in this megaverse.

Kid scowls, obviously not pleased to hear this. "Just let me know if you figure out anything at all. Maybe I can find out who sent this stupid thing.. I'll be back here later." The girl steps to the side, starting to head around Rune with the intent of leaving the area. "Whoever started this crap is going to have a lot to answer for."

Rune nods his head as he lets Kid pass by. With that said and done, Rune will go back to studying the Greek & Roman mythology of ancient and modern times.
