From Chronicles
As the sun slowly slides down in the sky, the late afternoon is upon the city of Kingsdale. Yakov's Deli is all but deserted as its proprietor works on cleaning up and restock the various tables and displays. He hums to himself softly, one of his strange old Russian songs.
Pushing open the door to the deli, is a bedraggled looking familiar techno-wizard and his toolbelt. His clothes are still covered in dust, and he still has those dark circles under his eyes. His shoulders are sagging a little in that dejected pose of someone who thinks he has nothing. "Hello..." Renos then looks around the place.
Tirzah steps in the the Deli, just off from work at Jelani's looking drained. Reception was far more tiring than guiding. Kind of shambling over to the counter she looks to Rasputin. "I need coffee, and i really like your turkey wraps." She requests sort of, oh how she needed those. She'd beg with the right prodding. Combing her finger though her dry, lightly frazzled hair she waits for her sustenance.
Rasputin chuckles loudly, "Dobriy den! Dobriy den! Da, da. Be comink in. Da. Are you bothing being hungries? One Turkey wrapping. Da, da." He looks to Renos, "Would be having a very goodink roast beefs. And deliciousy dark rye breading? Da? I be having it on special, Da?" He grins as he makes sure a table is all set for the both of you. Then he pauses, "Net. You both do not mind sitting together, da? I will bringing mugs of coffe, coco, and tea!" He chuckles, as if his good mood is uncontrollable.
"Huh?" He then looks over to Rasputin for a moment, trying to follow the thick accent once more. "Yeah, sure, roast beef sounds fine. I don't really much care at the moment." He then looks over to Tirzah and then shakes his head lightly. "No, I don't mind sitting with miss Tirzah. She seems relatively nice."
Tirzah blinks Rasputin's enthusiasm shaking her from her daze a bit. Both? She turns to look and find Renos who she must have gone right past.. "Oh hello.." She pauses remebering their last encounter. "Robert?" She asks carefully while moving towards a table.
Rasputin chuckles and nods, "Da, da. Please be seatink. Da? " Rasputin quickly shows you both to a table which has a four fresh place settings on it. "So some coffee, I be havink tea. And for you'ink? Coffee, tea, coco?" Rasputin just chuckles, "Da, I bring all!" He chuckles loudly as he walks behind the counter and quickly puts together a spread of drinks, creams, marshmallows, and other confections. Then jus as quickly, he is back behind the counter, washing his hands and making up some food.
Renos's goes a little wide at all the stuff that gets put onto the table. "Wow, thats a lot." He then moves to the table and looks back to Tizah. "Yeah?" He then looks to Tirzah a bit more. "How are you, today?" He then shakes his head a little.
Tirzah shrugs as she generously adds sugar and cream to her coffee. "Alright I guess, been a bit down today, the fog is starting to wear on this city I think." She notes before taking a testing swallow and nodding to herself in approval. "You?"
Rasputin whistles to himself, then hums to himself. He makes the turkey wrap up first. Quickly dicing and chopping, and of course spreading and rolling. Then he sets that on a plate, garnishes it nicely and puts a pickle and thick cut British chips on it. Then he turns to the sandwich. Rasputin looks up, "Da, da. Warmik or colding on the roast beefs?" he seems to ask Renos. He makes up the rest of the sandwich, waiting for the answer.
"Huh?" Renos then looks over to Rasputin for a moment, a bit puzzled. "Oh, um...warm, I think. Its a bit cold to be eating cold foods." He then turns back to Tirzah, and finally sits down at the table. "The fog?" He asks a little puzzled. "It makes you down? I am sorry to hear that. No one should be down." He then looks down at the table.
Tirzah looks carefully over Renos, the coffee doing wonders for her grasp of reality. "You're different than you were last time. Much better actually." She compliments, unsure of the source of his turn around. "Don't let it lose the pink though." She calls out to Rasputin, perhaps overstepping her bounds. "Men always like a rarer cut yes?"
Rasputin continues to work, slapping the bread onto a grill and warming the swiss cheese on the sandwich then putting the top on it. He grills it for a bit, and then looks back, "Net, Da. " He shrugs, "I liking medium welling. So, I may not being dorby judge. Da?" He shrugs, then looks back to the food. He serves it up onto a plate, cuts it, splits it, puts chips on it and then starts to carry them out. "Why be you askink?"
"Medium welling?" He then tilts his head and frowns slightly. "I don't know what that means." He then looks back over to Tirzah, and tilts his head to the side. "Different?" He looks really puzzled at that. "I am better? I don't think that I am any different." He continues to watch her, a bit puzzled.
Tirzah shrugs much more cautious now. "I'm not even sure I want to clarify, you might fall back into it. Just accept it as a friendly compliment. You look good, alive." She suggests before considering translating for Renos. "He means how well cooked you want the roast, medium well is when all the pink is gone but its still fairly moist." She explains.
Rasputin nods as he sets the food down between both of you, "Da, da. Just thining pinking." He smiles and then returns behind the counter to ladel himself up some soup of some sort. He then comes to join you two. He begins to work on his soup and just listens for a few moments.
Watching as Rasputin joins them and then Robert looks directly at Tirzah. "I know what you mean, and you are quite wrong. I feel like that, all the time. Even now. I look good...alive?" He then tilts his head and smiles, ever so briefly. "Thank you for trying, though." He then looks back down and starts to put sugar in the coffee.
Tirzah frowns as the hope for the sad techno wizard is executed. Sighing she nods with resignation, not really knowing what to say now. So instead she just quietly works on her wrap, trying to forget about Renos as he sits across from her.
There is a bit of a deeper frown now. "What...you don't wish to hear the truth?" He then watches her closely for signs of facial expression changes. "Should I have lied to you? I don't see the point really. I am not that good of a liar. But I can try if you so wish." He picks up the coffee and holds it a second, then sips it slowly.
Tirzah shrugs defensively, feeling like the enemy. "No, you should be honest, but you dont have to be brutally honest about it. You could leave room for the possibility that things are looking up. And maybe then they actually will. I just dont like to see suffering is all. Do you like broadcasting your pain to those around you? So they can share in it?" She quips back, finding some fire in her voice now that she's eaten a bit.
There is a bit of a confused frown on his face at her words. "No, not really. I don't think that either my magic spells or my psionic abilities, though, transmit that though. Or I would have definitely left the city and isolated myself to prevent such an occurence. But you say that it is all reayd occurring?" He raises a finger to his lips to tap them, thinking. "I don't understand the difference, Tirzah. THere is either honest, or lying. There really isn't an inbetween. I suppose...things could look up, sometime. That would be life."
Tirzah grins as she wins a small battle with the depressed man. "You don't have to be psychic to look at someone in obvious pain and feel sympathy. And your pain, well it was well beyond obvious. Anyone with a heart would be hard pressed not to look at you and wonder what could cause such hurt. And thats right things could look up, life goes on, so why only broadcast the negative?" She asks, pressing the point with interest now.
"Oh, so I am not pressing my emotions onto others, it simply you responding to the pain I am showing. Well, thats good, at least." He then shrugs slightly at that. "As to what caused it...well, what else causes it? I mean there isn't really a lot of...sources is there?" He then sips his coffee. "I will do better to moderate my display of such emotion then."
Tirzah sighs, exasperated. "yeah you do that, shut yourself in, stop living completely, that'll fix things." She mutters before going back to her wrap again. So much for small victories she muses as she thinks over the man again. It was kind of endearing though the way he endured. A selfish part of her hoped when she was gone she would be equally missed.
There is a bit of a frown. "I didn't say I would shut myself in, just stop openly displaying such things. After all, if no one knows, then there should be no reason to feel pain in sympathy. Isn't that correct?" He sips his coffee and watches her some more, watching her think about something.
Rasputin seems to have been deep in thought as he slowly ate his soup. Pausing every now and then to drink some tea from the cup he has poured for him. He sets down his spoon and looks to Renos then To Tirzah, the back to Renos, "Net. Net. Do you beink upset for some reasoning?" He tugs his beard, then frowns a bit more, "Diding someone dying? Da, or you be sicking?"
Tirzah looks a Renos, wondering is she should catch Rasputin up but decides that would be unfair. "Well if you're going to show emotion, but you're not going to show your pain, and you're not going to lie, what does that leave?" She asks, intently curious as to how that's going to work.
There is a bit of a shrug. "I don't know really. Whatever happens to fit at the time I guess." He then looks over to Rasputin. "Its nothing really important anyway. Just something that happened a while back, I guess." He then tries to smile a little, but shrugs instead. He then looks at the sandwich that Rasputin brought and picks up a part of it to start biting on.
Rasputin tugs his beard a little bit, "Da. Da." He tugs it again, "But nowing, no deathing or sicking?" He takes another sip of soup as he waits for the answer. Yes, it would seem Rasputin is a bit behind in the conversation. But isn't that usually how Rasputin is? Odd silly short person, "Da, is the food being goodink?"
Tirzah nods, guessing that will do. "The food is great Rasputin, much better than the rations Jelani's gives out on trips. Maybe you should provide for them." She half jokes before going back to her wrap for some more indulgence.
"Yeah, I guess. No death or sick." He then takes another bite. Renos then looks from Tirzah to Rasputin, frowning slightly. "Is it me, or is the twon somewhat quiet tonight?" He picks up the coffee to wash down the sandwich.
Rasputin tugs his beard, "Da, dat is beink very quieting. Da, I beink thinking manies here do not liking the cold. Dis winters reminding me of winter at homes." He grins and sips his soup a little bit more. "Butting if no dying or sickink, then be less sadding. Da!" He grins and sips some more soup.
Tirzah looks at Rasputin wondering if he's completely oblivious. "Its quiet because of the fog that falls every night. Its dragging down the city. The source is clearly trying to make us weak, the stories I've overheard of the dreams psychics are having, its not looking good. If I didn't have a link to the element of fire I'd certainly be laying low. Its still unnerving because if a client does insist on going out in it, I'm at the top for going with them.
Renos's forwn deepens a bit more. "Dreams? What dreams? I haven't had any dreams. You sure its not a rumor from the last time something like this happened with the robots?" He takes another bite of his sandwich, chewing it very slowly.
Rasputin finishes his soup and sets down his spoon, "I knowing not of these dreams. Da, rumors or are they beink real?" He tugs his beard, then sips his tea a bit more. He looks to Tirzah, then to Renos, "Robots? I do not thinking I heardink of Robots giving dreams."
Tirzah shakes her head. "The dreams, may be rumors, who knows but the fog, and the undead in it, they're real I've been there. And I don't go there lightly." She states quite firmly. "But on that note I should go. Things to do an all."
There is a nod of his head as Renos thinks about their words. "IT was nice seeing you, Tirzah. Come by sometime." He then takes another bite of his sandwich. "I shall be...at least more upbeat than I have been."
Rasputin tugs his beard, "Da, goodink." He frowns as Tirzah speaks of leaving, "Do you being having to be leaving so soonik? I be having some chocolate double fudgink cake. Da? Could I temptink you in such a dessert?" He looks to Renos, "Da, you perhapsink?"
Tirzah pauses, her true weakness, fudge. Hiding that she looks to Renos and grins "I'd like that." Then showing it takes a moment for her to give in she nods to Rasputin. "Well alright, if you insist."
There is a bit of a smile and then looks to Rasputin and frowns slightly. "Perhapsink?" He then shake shis head slightly and eats half of the sandwich and then looks down and picks at it a bit.
Rasputin frowns a bit, as he stands up, "Da, da. I perhapsink doing this, da doing dats. Perhapsink!" He chuckles his frown vanishing into the wind, "Da? Cake?" He grins and goes back behind the counter, and pulls from underneath a monstrously large chocolate cake. It is perhaps two feet in diameter and a foot thick. He slides three pieces off of it and says, "Would you being zheltyee sauce?" He smiles as he holds up a clear container with a thick yellow looking sauce in it.
Tirzah blinks, and then blinks again trying to take in the size of the cake. "What.. how.. Do they even make ovens that big?" She exclaims in shock. Looking up at the sausce, still mystifiedshe shakes her head. "No thanks, but i will be needing a large glass of cream..."
There is a bit of a puzzled frown. "I suppose it is a layered cake, with each layer baked, and then stacked together. Either that, or there is a large oven that can fit it. I am not really in the mood for sweets. And...yeah, sorry, your accent. Its...a little thick. Makes it hard to understand." Renos then watches Tirzah. "You can have my piece."
Rasputin shakes his head, "Net, net. Chocolate is like being with a warm woman on cold nightink. Da? You eat." He says has he sets it down in front of Renos first, then Tirzah and finally himself. He puts down the clear pitcher of yellow sauce. Then gets a pitcher of cream, three glasses of milk, and brings it over. Rasputin chuckles as he sets down and digs into his large slice of cake, "Da, eat!"
Tirzah nods taking the cream and pouring some on the cake to soften it up a bit. "I couldnt eat yours too anyway, I'd have to jog all the way to Chi town to work it off." She jokes before taking her first bite and melting in bliss with a deep mmmm
"Ah, pity. I don't think that I am up to cake right now." Renos eyes the cake piece being offered and then eyes Rasputin for a moment. "Perhaps you can save my piece? Or give it to someone else..." He then looks back down at the sandwich and takes a bit more of a bite from it.
Rasputin chuckles softly, "Da, da. I can be makinik to go if needing." He smiles then digs in, fork in hand. Of course, this is after he as drizzled the yellow lemon sauce over the top of the cake. He is careful to keep his beard out of the way of the cake. "So I have not being seenik da walkinik dead. Da, das you bothink have?" He looks to you both as he takes another bite.
Tirzah shudders after she swallows as she revisits her closest enounter with the undead. "I have. but I don't want to review the common courtesies of zombies over cake if you don't mind." She states to Rasputin with a slightly annoyed tone.
There is a tilt of Renos's head. "Nope, not seen any shambling dead around here. Or running dead. OR even dead dead, to tell the truth. Except for the long time that the fog has been here, I would say that nothing is really wrong. The fog could be a manifestation of the dimensions thinning. Like in the leyline triagles."
Rasputin nods slowly and says, "Yzveenee, me no offendink." He takes another bite of his cake, "Da, the fogging is very odd indeed. If it be dat unhuman, dat net beink good." He tugs his beard, and puts it out of the way again. "Da. Betterink topic. Magik!" He grins and a little gleen shows in his eye, "We three, be all of magiks. Da? Do either of you beink knowink about the Guilding?"
Tirzah shrugs indifferently at the mention of the guild. Before taking another bite of bliss. She takes a moment to savour and swallow before replying. "Just a bunch of stuck up Arcane Masters who think they are above almost everyone else. Really I dont know why the bother having a guild its not very open to newcomers."
"I tried to start my own guild. To get people to start sharing resources and learning with each other. SImply because the main magic guild was so exclusive. But...it never really went anywhere." Renos then shrugs once more and finishes up on the massive sandwich.
Rasputin eats a few more large bites form his cake. "Da, da. I be hearink the Guild is looking for da magiks of strong power onlink." He shakes his head, "Da?" He sighs softly, "We have exchanged magiks, da." He tugs his beard, then takes another bite, "I be thinking, those of us who be knowing, are outing of spells to be trading. Da?" He looks to Tirzah, "Or the magiks are not of the teaching, type? Da?"
Tirzah nods to acknowledge Rasputin. "Da, my arcane abilities are bestowed upon me by the elementals that aide me. I cant learn other arcane abilities or teach the ones I know, its purely a direct link to power." She explains before savouring another bite of cake.
"Just becuase you can't teach it doesn't mean that you can't help out. Even mystics and elementalists could help out. After all, we don't have to trade spells to learn, others can cast, and we can study, and there is a power being with a guild as well. Plus, its sort of an unofficial protection of each of the members."
Rasputin nods as he takes a few more bites of cake, "Da, da. I agreeink. Dat, making a guild mightink not the correctink name. Perhapsink, we could be lookink for magiks outside of the city? Or somethink." He shrugs, "Tis beink a cold winterink for many. Just an idea." He finishes his cake, amazingly. Where did the little man put it all, "I needink to take care of something down stairs. Would you two be excusink me?"
Tirzah nods, continuing to enjoy her cake while she considers what Renos said. "I already work as a guard in one fashion.. But I suppose there are those who would study elementals. I could be open to being a source of knowledge in that regard." She offers with a friendly smile.
"Not even study, but maybe even teach. You think those jerks in the guild would do such a thing?" He then nods to Rasputin. "All right, we may or may not be here when you get back. Not sure." Renos then looks to Tirzah. "And the name doesn't so much matter as the goal and the sharing of resources. I didn't expect us to have formal admittance or worry about rules anyway. I don't think we will ever be that big."
Tirzah nods thinking it over some more. "Seeing how others handle the arcane to accomplish things would be helpful, providing insight into making ones own skills more versatile." She smiles liking that line of thought. "Sign me up then."
Rasputin stands up and nods, "Da, da. Perhapsink we can chattink more, da?" He tugs his beard, "Pleasink stay as longink as you likeing." He gets puts his own dirty plate and bowl away and heads down stairs. Of course there is another waiter running around, so he can help with anything you may need after Rasputin leaves.
"Well, that is one at least. Now to find some others that might share with us as well. KNow of any others? I have...sort of lost touch with everyone and I don't know who uses magic anymore." He then looks down at the table and frowns slightly.
Tirzah nods as she considers the skills she's seen. "There are a few that come to mind. Vyvian has a power similar to mine. There's a young teen performer that seems quite capable with magic not really any others that i know of." She replies between moments of savoring the ginormous chocolate cake Rasputin served her.
Through the door comes said lizard temptress, Vyvian. She gratefully passes from cold exterior to warm interior. A breathy sigh breathed as she pushes back her hood and gives a shake of her shoulders to dislodge some of the snow from her shoulders and the frost clinging to the hem of her fur cloak. "Well ain't it just all a chill out there t'day," she says to.. well, everyone, her gaze sweeping the meat filled establishment. With the door closed behind her, she slips her arms forward to help open up her cloak, pushing it back behind both shoulders as she steps in further. Sighting Tirzah and Renos, she casts a broad, toothy grin at the table and says, "Hey there. The eatin' all good?" Whether it is or not, she goes up to the counter.

There is a lizard woman that walks in and Renos looks up to follow her a little with his eyes, before going back to look at Tirzah. its late afternoon and the fog and snow are still here. "Hrm, not sure if I have ever met either one of them, to be honest. I sort of miss Atticus and there was one elemental fusionist a while back, real wierd person. And there was this native american shaman person with the white bear. Um...forgot her name." He then looks down at his empty plate. "So many people have come and gone..."
Tirzah nods, carefully reviewing the information as Vyvian enters. "Hi Vyvian, its good as usual." She greets brightly before turning back to Renos. "Monique knows magic? I didn't know that." She admits with a slight giggle before going back to the daunting task of finish her slab of cake.
Vyvian walks right up to the counter and leans forward slightly, hands planted upon it. The cloak doing much to cover any casual show that might be part and parcel to such a posture. "Why don't y'give me one of them there ham sandwiches," she says to the staff behind it. "Na, wait.. two oughta do it. Thank ya honey." A broad, toothy grin is given. The sort that has as much chance to unsettle as charm. With the sandwiches being made, she straightens up and glances about again before she turns about to walk right over to where the two humans are sitting. Unabashedly she asks, "What're ya'll talkin' 'bout over here? Anythin' good?" Her husky toned, rustic accent made a bit more exotic by the soft emphasis on her 's' sounds.
Even a bulky field jacket does not completely diminish the chill, and Ky welcomes the warmth as she enters. "I should've worn my armor..." is mumbled mostly to herself as she looks around the shop. Hunger quickly distracts as she warms, however, and her focus, and feet, shift toward the counter.
Standing to welcome the new arrival and a small smile on his face, Renos wacthes as another person walks in. The counter is pretty clean and the guy serving the customers is pretty nice as well. "Um...was talking about an idea I had a while back. A guild of those who can't really get accepted into the main magic guild here in town. A sharing and teaching group, basically. I was asking about those who can do magic, and she mentioned you, I think. My name is Renos, Robert Renos. You know Tirzah, I take it? And...monique...yeah, that was her name. I had forgotten. Just met her that once out of the city."
Tirzah smirks to herself as Renos stands to introduce himself to Vyvian. Maybe he can see the bright side. She muses to herself as she continues to indulge. The massive slice of thick chocalate cake before her is maybe a third finished now. So far tyo go, she wondered if Rasputin had intented to torture her.
Vyvian listens to the talk with a casual interest, glancing towards Ky as she comes in. A nod and another broad grin is given, flashing her teeth at the passing woman. Then her attention returns to the table. "Talkin' 'bout me? Well, ole Vyvy has her ways, y'know? Guess mebbe it's magic, but I dunno, Robert. Heard 'bout some sorta.. guild b'fore, but never thought too much 'bout it." A hand lifts, the tips of her fingers passing along the side of her snout before she looks to Tirzah. "What you been tellin' him?" Just a little jest in that nudge.
As she muses over choices, Ky's attention is drawn towards the conversation by the scaled female leaving the counter. Her eyes linger briefly out of curiosity, then return to the staffperson as she orders herself a sandwich. An intermittent word or two from the trio pulls her glance back once more as she waits, though she does not add her own comment.
"I would guess that you have miss vyvian." Renos then looks at Tirzah, as if wondering if she would add anything to the conversation, and then back to the green scaled woman. "It might be, or it might not. Right now, there is a big group of humans who think they know best. The coalition. They believe that magic and beings from other worlds are wrong. But i don't. They believe in tech, not realizing the irony. I am a techno-wizard. I know both tech and magic, and I have to say, to most people they are equally mystical."
Tirzah shrugs as she has to take a break from the rapture that is the cake. "Just that you have arcane abilities similar to my own." She replies to Vyvian with a casual tone. "Should I have kept quiet? He's a good guy, did a great mod on my armor, now I can charge it with my arcane energies for added protection." She explains to Vyvian, hoping she didnt offend her friend.
Vyvian chuckles huskily and waves a hand at Renos. "Ain't no miss 'round here, honey. Just call me Vyvian. Or Vyvy if y'like," she says amid the light show of mirth. Though it softens some when he starts talking about the Coalition. "Heard 'bout them ones too. Ain't so nice what I'm hearin'." She looks to Tirzah then and shakes her head a little. "Oh, ain't that, honey. Ain't so sure just what lets me do what I do. Got him talkin' 'bout teachin' and such and I ain't even too sure just how I'm doin' what I do." She grins broadly, then comes as hail from the counter. It penetrates her distracted attention, leading her to half twist to glance back towards it. "Oh, the sandwiches." She steps off toward the counter at once to claim her food.
The next order is claimed, which is likely the reason Ky remained at the counter. A nod is given to the emerald Vyvian, with a smirk chaser. "I hear they like to shoot first... and don't bother asking questions after. Not that I've been in any lightfights with them."
"NOw...where was I?" He then frowns slightly, and Renos taps his lips with his finger. "Oh, yes. My point. Anyway, with all this intolerance, its hard to find people to teach you what you need to know to make magic less scary. To teach people about the different aspects of magic, and let people understand its not all that bad." He then frowns. "So, I want to form a group, a guild of like minded people to share resources and to help each other out." He then looks to the woman at the counter. "Yeah, thats about right." He glances at Tirzah, and smiles lightly. "Yeah...well...you paid me..."
Tirzah nods in understanding to Vyvian. "Its not just about teaching or learning spells but learning about the arcane in general. watching others use it to over come problems can provide insight regardless of the nature of the power. Its about sharing a similar view, magic is a tool to help us cope with the supernatural. Not some uncontrollable force of demonic origins." She explains before looking back to Renos. "Pennies, really how many suits of armor would I go through without that spell? I may never wear out this one now."
Vyvian pauses after gathering up the two sandwiches, her attention shifting towards Ky as she speaks. "Ain't met none of 'em yet, but most seem t'give that sorta picture. When it comes t'folk like me." That last addition a little grim, though it only seems to briefly weigh down her mood, which buoys upward rather quickly as a broad grin comes back to her. "Guess mebbe if I run across a few, we'll see." No worries present for the lizardwoman as she turns to head back towards the table. She missed much of what Renos said, her attention span an inconsistent thing, so seh settles herself back down without a direct response to it. She does have something to say as she starts unwrapping the sandwiches. Which, for her, are some bread with lots of ham and nothing else. "I guess a group ain't so bad a thought. Dunno what kinda thing ole Vyvy could be givin' for it. Dunno much 'bout magic.. just know I got me some understandin' with the air and earth." She grins broadly, then takes a healthy bite out of sandwich one.
As if moved by a gentle breeze, the door opens to allow Sage to slip into the Deli. After undoing the fastenings on her coat, she takes it over to place provided for guest coats to be hung up. She gives her head a gentle shake before she begins to move towards the counter with a slow steady gait. Briefly her gaze drifts over the interior enough to see that other people have settled in, but she seems more intent on the counter for the time being.
Headed for a seat, Ky leaves the counter, meal in hand. "I think'd I'd rather just avoid 'em... but I doubt that'll happen." Her eyes shift towards the pair already seated as she finds her own spot. "Even if I don't have horns, or scales, or zap things by waving my hands.."
"You don't have to be different to think differently. Or even feel." He then nods to Vyvian. "Well, thats something we can do as well. Teach ourselves about magic. We all learned from masters, or those we considered...more knowledgable. Or something else that taught us. But we don't know about others." Renos watches as Sage walks in and his eyes slightly cloud. He then looks to Tirzah, "Well, thats something...I guess. But you can exhaust yourself as well."
Tirzah snickers at Renos, "I'd know to make my exit long before that happened." She states confidently before returning her attention to the obelisk like slab of triple chocolate fudge cake Rasputin gave her. It's so good and so rich, but so huge! She felt obligated to do him proud and finish but she just didn't know if she had it in her.
Vyvian chuckles huskily. "Don't really zap nothin', but I got my ways," she says to Ky with a bob of her head. She then looks to Renos. "Didn't get taught by no one. I just.. knew what I could do one day. Was just about lookin' death in the eye too when I did." She grins broadly. "That's how I learned t'lift with the wind. Got a feelin' just a bit ago and.. did it, y'know? More I do what I do, the easier it gets too." With as much as she's trying to pay attention to, Vyvian misses Sage's entry, her attention flitting about already. And eating as well, which she still tends to with a gusto.
Once at the counter, Sage orders herself a tea to start with as she considers the other options. Her gaze considers her options briefly, before the mix of familiar voices brings her attention back to the tables behind her. She smiles softly as she recognizes a couple good friends, before her eyes notice the large slab of a cake piece in front of the redhead. "I didn't know you liked cake that much, Tirzah."
