Gaining Experience
From Chronicles
One of the main goals of PCs in a RPG (Role Playing Game) is to gain experience. That is of course one of the main goals of people here as well. There are a few ways to get experience here. Some of them will grant you more experience than others.
One of the main ways is through interaction with other players and having those players vote for you. (See +help voting). Through interaction with other players you can receive votes. Each vote gives you 50 experience points which is added to your sheet on every Monday. Each player has 15 votes per week and you can give up to 4 votes to a single player within any given week. Now, what happens if you run out of votes but still want to give them out to people for good role-playing? Nothing, basically you have to wait until next week. You could vote for them then, but you might run into the same problem you did the week before. This may seem a little unfair, but it allows for some balance in the game and requires people to RP (Role-Play) with a wide group of people through out the week.
Staff can be voted for as well. If you feel that a staff character has done a good job RPing an NPC or running a scene, feel free to give them your vote on their staff character. They may apply that XP to their 'main' RP character if they wish.
Another way to get experience is while you are engaged in a TP (Tiny Plot) or official scene that the staff is running. TPs are small adventures that sometimes take on lives of their own. A staff or a player (with permission) can run one, and they can lead you just about anywhere. At the end of the TP the staff will assign experience to the players as per his/her feelings on the TP. If the TP is player run, the player can send a log or just recommendations about how much experience the players should get for the TP or the scene.
There are other ways to get experience, but they are much more uncommon and dont come into play very often. With this in mind, remember to vote for people if they RP well and look for out for hints on TPs.
Oh, and 'voting rings' are a major no-no. If we see people voting without RPing.... we get twitchy. We can, and do track this stuff you know. :D
So, you want to submit a log? Here is how to do it:
Rifts: Chronicles of Kingsdale is collecting logs to be placed on the website. Lots of any type, really. Since free XP is given for them to be submitted.... really no excuse not to. =)

Log Location
You will need a wiki login, and for that login to have 'Trusted' status. See the staff if you are having problems with this.
Type of Logs Accepted:
Anyone submitting an RP log will not only see it displayed on the webpage, but receive a little exp (50) per log for submitting it.
Submission Format
Make a new wiki page, by putting it in the address bar after index.php/Put the bolded part of +time (see below) here
So in our example, it would be:
The current game time is: Wed Mar 16 17:03:06 106 PA
The time in the title can be followed by a title if the poster wishes.
http://www.kingsdalemux.com/mediawiki/index.php/Mar 16 17:03:06 106 PA - A title of a log
Wiki will then offer you a blank page - click 'edit'.
Cut and paste the log here. Some things to look out for include formatting - any indents make an oddness on wiki. As an example:-
This is what happens if someone indented their pose.
Please remove all chatter from the log before posting - all we want is the RP! If it is for a TP, please mail the uncleaned log to the chronicles email account and post the cleaned log.
At the bottom, add categories to link the log to PCs, TP and the year. Add one category per PC, rather than putting them all in one! To do this, you need to put the following into two sets of square brackets.
Category:Name
Category:Name TP
Category:PC Name
Category:Work
Category:Logs 106 (Or whatever year it is!)
Category:Learning
The last one is for the use of a Learning log, where the player has submitted a request to learn a skill from another player. See Learning New Skills for more information on that.
Click on save!
We monitor the pages created in this manner and will dole out the exp as we go!
Log Awards
50 exp to the person who posted the log. If you have multiple alts, this will go to the one in the log.
Work / Training Logs
Please mark both as such so that your work and learning can be tracked by staff - if you do not do so, we will assume you are not going to work, or have not done that training, and your char may not receive the benefits of either.
