'Landing strip, northwest corner of hangar 27, 5 PM. Leo' Such is the content of the romantic invitation, suggesting the young man still needs quite a bit of education in the dating department. Even if it is suspected that the meeting point is worlds apart from the dinner destination.

Leonard awaits at the edge of the somewhat distant and disused building, standing where he can see the approach of others. A small pack hangs from his shoulders, distorting the lay of his cloak, and another shoulder bag rests on the cracked asphalt at his feet. The extra weight does not appear to encumber him much, however, as he still paces or shifts his weigh in nervous anticipation.

Vixen will be there on time, pulling into the strip on her Highwayman at pace. Her coat is wrapped about her to ward off the chill, but she doesn't seem to be armored up beyond that warming protective garment. Though outside of the coat, her normal black satchel has been replaced with a white one that looks to be woven. It's a bit fatter than the other as well. She spies Leo quickly and pulls around towards him, speed reduced. Skidding lightly to a stop beside him. She grins and sits back a little on the machine. "Got room to bring this? Or should I get it locked up here before we go?"

Leonard stops pacing as the familiar bike and rider pull up, a smile growing. "Hey...hmm... I didn't think of that." He looks over the machine a moment. "It /should/ be small enough to bring, if you're worried about it. We shouldn't need it, though, so it's up to you."

Vixen considers, glancing down at her machine for a moment before she decides. "I'll get it put in, then I'll be back." She grins at him, then guns the bike and pulls off towards vehicle storage. It'll be a few minutes afterward that she comes walking back out, he coat still closely closed about herself. As she nears, she says, "Well, I'm ready. I'd say ready for anything, but that ain't quite true. But ready enough I suppose."

Her return is awaited a bit more patiently, this time, the smile still present. "I hope you won't be TOO ready for this. It is supposed to be a surprise, afterall." Leonard's smile curls a bit further. "But, if you're ready enough..." He reluctantly pulls his attention from her and turns the the empty macadam past the building. Eyes closing and brows wrinkling, he begins to concentrate on the space. A few heartbeats later, a somewhat familiar ball of blue-white, crackling energy appears, then begins to quickly expand. Once grown, the cerulean light forms an oblong halo two yards wide and twice that tall. Within that frame, a shimmering image appears, as if through distorted translucent glass. The reflection is nearly as bright as the border, with shadowed shapes of what could be scrub vegetation in the foreground. Leonard's eyes reopen and he extends a hand. "Shall we?"

Vixen smirks faintly. "Well, like I said, ready enough. Never done this sort of thing before.." A touch of trepidation in her tone as she says as much. Of course, she pulls out her video camera before he gets started and once he does, she trains it on the action, already having it linked into her headjack, behind her right ear. Despite it all she eases a step back before the portal appears. And when it does, she eyes it. A few other people nearby turn to look. The opening of a rift can herald many things, most of them bad. A few weapons get fingered, but as it seems a controlled Rift, no one does anything rash.

Once it seems stable and benign, Vixen eases forward a step and looks to Leo. "Yeah, lets." She reaches out for his hand with her free one, the other keeping her camera trained forward.

One very good reason to do so in a reasonably out of the way location, as it is just a tad conspicuous. Leonard chuckles at finding the camera out, not really expecting anything different. "You'll be fine, and I'll be right here, and there, with you." He takes her hand firmly and steps to the tear in space, urging her with him. Just as they enter that threshold, he thinks to add, somewhat late, "It might be a little disorienting..." And with that, he tugs her through with him, both to curtail any trepidation and due to the fact that the rift won't remain open long.

For her part, Vixen doesn't hesitate to step forward with him. Her eyes a bit wide, breath catching just before she reaches the threshold. As he puts in that little bit in that moment, her eyes flick towards him, narrowing subtly in that sidelong glance. Then, of course, she's through the portal with him.

The step itself is no longer than any other, but the destination is as different as night and day, quite literally. What appeared bright through the looking glass is even moreso in person, cast by a sun rising low on the open horizon. Its rays pass through mostly clear blue sky and shimmers off of water that stretches out to meet the sky. With their passing, the rift closes with a snap and fizzle, leaving a rather stark silence, save for little waves lapping at the shore or a bird's cry. Between the sparse scrub where they stand and the water lies a rather conveient expanse of warm sand. A little picnic at the beach, it seems, and as big a change in scenery as Leonard could concoct.

Vixen wobbles a moment on the step through. Moving from solid ground to sand is disorienting and she stiffens for a moment before acclimating herself to the new terrain. And the setting. She looks out over the water and takes in a breath. "Oh hell, this is.. nice." Words honest enough on that note. Though when she glances back and notices no return portal, a hint of nervousness rises. All the same, she seems trusting enough to not freak out or even ask after the thing. "You know, I didn't bring a suit," she says, looking to Leo.

Leonard does what he can to steady her with his grip on her hand, the wit-free words drawing his smile wide. "I'm glad you like it... and if you want to swim, I'm sure we'll figure out something. I couldn't ask you to bring one without spoiling it, now could I?" He has no concerns about their return, but her glance back is noticed, and her hand squeezed. "We can also return as easily as we came, whenever you get bored with the view... or company."

Vixen grins a little at him and notes, "You could have brought one for me." Her lips curling in a sly little grin. She lets go of his hand, placing her camera in it instead before she lifts her own to undo her coat. "Way too warm for this now.. seems like fucking winter has been going on forever," she murmurs. When she shrugs off the garment, revealing her lighter wear. "Good thing I didn't come here with the catsuit, that would have been uncomfortable."

Leonard chuckles and shrugs his shoulders, setting one bag down and freeing the pack from his shoulders. "I do have shorts and a shirt in here that should fit you, if you'd like..." He is semi-prepared, if not confident enough to select bathing wear in the right cut, size, and color. Thank goodness for elastic wasitbands. His cloak and sweater are shrugged off and he looks up to see her more casual clothing. "Although you do look very nice as is."

Vixen grins as she retrieves her camera and folds her coat carefully over her arm before laying it down near the pack. "Maybe I will.. or maybe I'll just do without." Slanting him a casual glance as she slips her own satchel off as well. With the possessions laid down in a neat little pile, she steps out, closer to where the wet sand gives way to dry sand. Her arms ustreched, as if to soak in the warmth before she comes to the edge of the waves. She relaxes her arms and dips down, her free hand lightly extended to let the water wash over the tips of her fingers.

"If you're hoping that will spark an argument, it won't." Leonard steps after her, enjoying the view that he has not seen in his prior trips here. The shoulder bag has been retrieved and is set back down into the sand to be much more close at hand. "It was mere chance that I found this place. Maybe I'm more lucky than I thought." He drops to a seat in the sand, now looking out to the waves. "With all that's happened to the world, it can still be beautiful."

Vixen smirks faintly as she tests the water, though keeps back from getting her boots wet. "I was expecting it would get you aroused," she states plainly, head turned to glance back at Leo to flash him that sly look. She straightens up then and comes back to the 'camp' of the moment. "This world? So we're still on our world? Not.. some other place?" Asked lightly as she settles herself down beside him, curious now about the location.

Leonard nods, though her blunt reply does flush his cheeks. Or perhaps it is just the sun. Either way, he undoes the top pair of buttons on his shirt to avoid overheating. "We are still on our world, just a different continent. Australia, or an island near it, I think. Safer to stay on the world we know than one we don't." Not that there is any lack of chaos or danger on Earth.

Vixen glance around slowly, a wariness rising as she considers the surroundings. "Glad I brought my gun then.." She looks to Leo and wonders, "You can get is out of here quick if we have to, right? We should keep close to our stuff. Just in case, anyway." She grins a little. "Wouldn't that just be the shit if something just happened to come by?" Leonard notably sours at that suggestion. "It would ruin my day... but I can get us back as fast as I brought us here. Just... not yet." His shoulder roll as she finds the risks, however valid, as quickly as she admired the setting. His smile dims to be replaced with a smirk. "Creating a rift is not as easy as you might think, but I did not see anyone or anything threatening here before."

Vixen breathes out lowly and relaxes somewhat, though there will be that uncertainty. She doesn't let it stay her, though. She grins and leans over against Leo, lifting up the camera to point it towards the both of them. "This is the magical mystery date with Vixen and Leo," she states into the lens. "Australia.. heard of the place before.. someone mentioned it, but I'll be damned if I know anything else about it." She looks towards Leo and asks, "You know this place? Or are we just running blind here?"

The lifted camera draws Leo's smile back out, though with a slight groan. "I've been here before, too look it over, but I don't know anything much of current events here..." He looks to her rather then the lens, mostly. Then, a somewhat Vixen-like grin forms. "You do know... if you go for a swim, that leaves me with the camera..." Vixen smirks faintly and looks to the camera. "But this is a family show and we couldn't possibly let something like that get on the air," she notes in a sober moment. That lasts only as long as it takes to get the words out before she laughs lightly, looking towards Leo again. "In case you were wondering, I probably won't put this out on PDD. More for personal use. Though if we get anything really interesting, might show that tidbit off." She grins lightly and leans in to lightly kiss him, the camera still held up and out.

Leonard relaxes noticably at that admission, even with his little coy jab delivered. The kiss certainly doesn't hurt, either, and he is able to utterly forget the camera for the moment. "Mmm. As long as you're the only one reliving my first date, I won't complain."

Vixen chuckles lowly. "I mostly brought it just in case we find something great," she murmurs, settling the camera on her bag, angled against the contents to stay on the two of them. She then shifts her position, taking on a the common lap straddling stance. She seems to enjoy it and as her arms settle on his shoulders, she leans in for a deeper kiss. One of those new ones, with the sinuous touch of her tongue and that pleasant edge of passion.

Whatever response was on Leonard's mind flies off on the slight breeze, possibly all the way back to the city they just left. The words on his lips are replaced by hers without even the hin of complaint, his arms wrapping about her waist in what is becoming a somewhat more familiar fashion. The kiss is returned in kind, putting that hard-earned training to use with simply mimicry filling in any gaps. After a moment, he reluctantly pulls away enough to grin and ask, "Would it be too much to think that I already have?"

Vixen laughs softly at that and lifts a hand to ruffle Leo's hair lightly. "Yeah, yeah.." The warm curve of her lips lingering regardless as she settles herself a bit in that posture, leaning against him. "You can think whatever you want, Ain't mine to tell you what's what. Though I do wonder what you had planned for this date, before I derail it off somewhere else. Don't want to overshadow you and we'll have plenty of time for other stuff.. here or there." Leonard continues to grin. "Other than having you all to myself in the most pleasant setting I could find? I did bring food, since you like the free meals so much." A chuckle and shrug follow. "I stopped planning after that, as I can rarely guess what you might do next. You enjoying yourself is good enough for me..." He lingers a moment, as if considering speaking more, but lets his words trail off.

"And here I thought you had some master plan." Vixen grins at that. "I had some ideas, but I'm thinking, nice as this place is, that maybe we should save it for a better ti me.. maybe right after we get back. I'll let you spend the night tonight." She grins broadly, leaning forward slightly to nudge the tip of his nose with her own. "All things considered.. it's a damn good time I think."

"I can't think of everything..." After that brief retort, his thoughts drift to thoughts of his future, readily read in his eyes, locked on hers as they are. Anxiety, excitement, desire... then something a bit darker as her last words push his mind a little too far forward, before he quickly forces himself to back up. "I happen to like your ideas. You're the expert, remember?" Her nose is nudged in return. Tearing open the 'verse he's confident with. He's still working on the rest.

Vixen lifts her hands then, cupping his cheeks before pressing a soft, lingering kiss on his lips. "Don't think past that," she murmurs lowly. "Not until after. Just you and me right now, man. That's all there is." She grins, the expression one free of care or concern. "Why don't we do the food first? Then maybe we can think about the water and suit issue. Or take a little walk or.. build sandcastles or something." The last tossed out without much thought towards the validity of such an option.

Leonard nods as she easily anchors his attention on the here and now. "Dinner it is." He then leans in for nothing more than a quick peck, lest he completely ignore his own announcement of food. A soft swat to her back jeans pocket follows. "You need to let me up, first, though."

Vixen returns the light brush, then grins broadly as she vacates in a smooth slide to the side, settling on her knees next to him. "I'll have you pinned down plenty soon enough," she jests lightly before wondering, "What's on the menu? Lucky for you I'm not real picky when it comes to food. Being on the trail, you learn to eat what you got. Got these food bars I usually carry along. They taste crappy, but they're light and easy to eat when on the move. If I ever get a taste for them, I'll know all hope is lost."

Leonard laughs. "A light menu, but tasty enough, I hope." He rolls up onto his knees and reaches over to drag the nearby bag to him and open it. A thermal bag inside is opened and a cornucopia of small containers are withdrawn. Appetizers more than a meal, in truth, consisting of berries, cubes of cheese, a half loaf of crusty bread, and, of course, the all-important pineapple in a mix of rings and dices. A blanket is then retrieved (yes, he packed the bag in the wrong order) which he spreads out and shifts the containers to. "Dinner is served."

Vixen observes the doings quietly for a few moments until the blanket comes out. WHile he's spreading that out, she'll drag her coat over and spread it out some as well, with the interior on top. Which reveals the contents. A series of pockets dot the lining and covered over light armor plates within. Her NG-45LP is in a custom designed spot, her handheld computer as well, cig case and a series of three grenades on each side, secured with special loops and fixtures. A few other pockets cover over their lighter contents. With it spread out, she can settle on top of it and relax without getting sand all over her. "Looks pretty good to me," she murmurs, going for the sliced pineapple first. She doesn't delay in securing a trio of them by hand, carefully held to catch the juice in her palm as she bites into the first one with a soft sound of bliss.

"No wonder that thing weighs a ton. I thought it was the plating." He can't help but notice that the jacket seems to contain everything but a sink, and that might be in an outside pocket. Leonard shakes his head and fishes out a small handful of strawberries before looking to her. "I know how rough the dregs must have been, but... what happened after you left? Where did you go?" Her prepetual preparedness for the worst reminds him of her colorful past, and how little of it he does know.

"Always prepared," Vixen murmurs after her first bite of pineapple, And subsequent enjoyment delays response to the question. She goes pretty quick through the three sliced rings, but it seems that she enjoys every moment of it, even licking her fingers after a brief string of wordless expressions of delight. She breathes out a soft sigh when she's finally done, giving Leo a grin. "Don't get that stuff much," she murmurs, unapologetic for that distraction. She then gives her shoulders a shrug, leaning forward to peer at the berries sand cheese. "Out west a little ways. South.. brushed near Coalition land, but never wanted to go in there. Mostly backwaters, traveling with some people." Her eyes lift and she grins lightly. "Not really all that important. Did a few jobs for some people, got a nice chunk of cred and some experience."

Leonard nods, listening as he picks munches somewhat absently from his selection. Her obvious enjoyment only firms his smile. "I'll remember not to spoil you with it too often, then, as much as I like the reaction. You've worked hard for what you gained, then. Can't really say that I have. Not sure if that is luck, or lack."

Vixen shrugs her shoulders slightly as she picks out some berries, being a bit choosey on the matter as she picks out a few of them. "Part is luck," she opines as she choose some choice berries and puts them into her palm. "Gotta be int he right place at the right time. Be there when someone's looking for work and has deep pockets. Not too many of them around some places. More in others." She glances up slightly. "After that, its all lack." She grins lightly and seems content with her choices, settling back a little to nibble at them in a more sedate manner.

"I was certainly that," Leonard chuckles, "and still seem to be. Now I just need to try and avoid the lacking... but I'm in no hurry to seek deep pockets just yet."

"Guess it depends what you got for a goal in life," Vixen puts in. "And if you don't know what that is, never hurts to start stockpiling creds, cause no matter what you end up doing, creds will help it. Living comfortable is a nice goal. That's one of my secondaries. I guess I'm there already, though I don't much care for the Happy Days overall. A bit too.. temporary in feel. But for now I'm saving up a bit rather than checking into more expensive digs. But I keep an eye out."

"You're right, of course. Creds still make the world turn, as it were." Leonard considers barely a moment before noting, "If you want a place with more room, you're welcome to stay with me..." A bit of hindsight makes him second-guess his spontaneity, however, and he belatedly clarifies,"There is a second room that is sitting unused, afterall."

Vixen considers Leo after that offer is made, the kind of lingering silence that could prompt all sorts of thoughts, not aided by the composed expression that she wears whilst still nibbling on her chosen berries. Likely not the hoped for reaction. "I think that's not a good move," she decides after that silent period. "Nothing against you, but we're not there. I know.. separate rooms means it ain't like that, but by now Cali's probably already got it in her head we're hooking up on a serious basis and I don't think she needs that kinda encouragement to think that. And I want to be solid with you on that too." She grins a little and reaches out to lightly touch his knee. "Like how we talked before."

Leonard does not appear destitute at her response, nor joyous. Maybe he wasn't sure which he hoped for once the offering slipped out. He nods, unsure of an immediate reply, as well, until Cali is mentioned. "She did seemed surprised that night in the garden... Is something wrong?"

Vixen smirks idly. "Like I said, she probably thinks we're hooking up," she reiterates. "In love and all that stuff. She's a real idealist and all that. I just haven't decided whether to tell her what's going on or just let her think what she wants. Though I suspect even if I tell her, she'll think what she wants. She can get stubborn that way sometimes." Her shoulders roll and she notes, "I kinda did that to give her something to get mushy over." Her grin broadening before she finishes off her berries.

"Ah.." Leonard nods his understanding, though his lips are pursed in a fashion that suggests otherwise. Her grin is reflexively returned before he looks down to the lone remaining strawberry in his hand. "What is going on, Vix? I mean, I ain't tryin' to tie you down, or drag ya onto a stage, or anythin' like that, but..." He isn't speaking sideways, exactly, but he does take a rather obvious shift towards the vernacular.

Vixen blinks at Leo and considers him carefully. "What do you mean, what's going on?" Despite what he might expect, she asks it with a simple curiosity. "I know you aren't trying that, but I'm just not sure about moving into the same place as you. Would get a bit odd if you take to another chick. And I'm not the sort that would want to bring that kind of stress." Her expression is open to him, her attention his.

Leonard finally lifts his gaze back to her. "'Going on' as in what you would tell Caliopa? What is it she thinks is between us that is so utterly wrong?" His words are proper once more, perhaps overly so, though he looks no less confused. "I may not be planning the next decades around you, but you seem convinced I will toss you away, that I will become bored with you."

"She'll probably be thinking we're in love, Leo," Vixen states softly. Her expression sobers somewhat. Perhaps not wanting to have touched upon that detail. "I guess maybe I didn't want to come right out and say it cause there ain't no good way to say it.. but I don't love you.. not like all that." She reaches out again, touching him lightly. "But that don't mean I don't like you. I do and you're a great guy, Leo. And not in that, 'great personality' way that people use to be nice. I mean it. Maybe I do talk like that a lot.. but that's cause I don't want you getting the wrong idea cause I don't want to hurt you. I want us to have fun. And I don't want to stand in your way."

Those words provoke a nod, and even a genuine, if slim, smile. "Direct is good. I just wanted to know. I've been..." Leonard attempts to think of a more proper verb, and fails, "...played in most everything else at one time. Didn't want to add this, too." He reaches up to rest his hand on hers, shrugging his shoulders. "Maybe I just jumped farther than I thought while trying the 'leap before you look' method."

Vixen shakes her head. "I don't want to play you, Leo," she says with a light grin. "You're a stand up kinda guy so far and I like that. And I don't want to mess up what we got for as long as it lasts, be it some weeks or years or whatever. And when that time comes, I don't want it to be strange. I'll find a good place to live eventually. I'm patient and Happy Days will work for now." Her smile grows. "And I'll just have to break it to Cali that things aren't what she thinks."

Leonard chuckles. "Now that we've got that out of the way, I recall you said something about fun?" His smile finally returns in full force and he waves a hand around them. "It's a beautiful day, in a beautiful place... What does the beautiful lady want to do first?" Whether due to acceptance, change of subject or self-denial, he's back to enjoying the moment for whatever it might be.

Vixen seems apt to believe things are fine again.. or like him lets the subject slip for the moment. she grins and says, "I'd say walk along the beach, but I'm not feeling safe for that.. wouldn't want to leave the stuff behind in case of trouble and carrying it all.. not so comfy, I think." She glances around at their various things. "Maybe a little dip in the water.. or something like that." She glances towards the water in question. "You know.. I've heard of the ocean before, but I never got to a coast to see it." And she gets caught doing just that. "Looks like it just goes on forever."

"Not forever," Leonard is quick to explain, "but far enough it might as well be. No reason to waste all that water." The last berry in hand, nearly fogotten, is popped into his mouth so that he can see to removing his boots. "There are towels in the pack, but I don't know if we'll need them."

Vixen blinks from watching the waves and glances towards Leo then. Seeing him removing his boots, she can't help but grin lightly, thoughtful on the matter. "Towels are good to have," she says before she works her own boots off. They're loose enough to be slid off firmly. "Guess if some beasty wanders by, won't matter one way or the other.." Murmured as she rises up, standing on her coat as she moves a hand over the button of her jeans. An intentional tease before she turns her back towards him and starts to do the deed.

Leonard utters a softly muffled "I'll get them" as he pulls his partially unbuttoned shirt over his head. That done, he looks back to her just in time to catch the tease before she turns. He begins to fumble with his own pants, but is completely ineffective. Soulmate or not, he can't help but watch.

She strips those jeans right off, worked over her hips with a little wiggle, presenting her posterior openly for a few moments as she leans down to push them the rest of the way and slip her feet out. Today's choice in undergarments are more racy. Attractively cut black and silky with a hint of lace. Or undergarment might be more precise as, when she slips her arms into her blouse and lifts it off, there's no dark strap across her back or the back of her neck. With the airy garment dropped behind her, she wraps her arms over her chest and glances back over her shoulder towards Leo with a saucy little grin. "Don't be too slow." Offered with a sly little wink before she turns and jogs towards the water, the angle keeping some mystery for Leo as she approaches the waves.

Now properly motivated, he manages to peel off his slacks and hop up. Clad only in a pair of thin shorts, he runs back to the pack. A pair of towels are grabbed to be dropped one the blanket as he passes. Only once he nears the very aptly named Vixen and the waves does he slow to a loping jog so as not to seem TOO eager.

Vixen goes right down to the edge of the water, pausing for a moment with arms crossed over her chest again to poke her toe into the water. A brief test before she decides to go for broke and rush in. Breathing in lowly as she goes in to the shins, moving just a bit slower as she works her way deeper, until the water comes halfway up her thighs. She hears Leo com ing then and turns her head, then the rest of her to face him, arms still lifted and crossed. She gives him an impish little smile before she lets her arms descend. A modest, but perky bust she has to show, prideful enough despite the lack of buxom presence. One of her hands extends towards him in silent invitation.

Leonard steps into the water without hesitation, finding it more than tolerable as he continues towards her. So much for appearances of overexuberance. His eyes drop with her arms, linger appreciatively, then rise back above her neck. No apparent drooling or excessive gawking, despite his admitted inexperience. As he sloshes up to her, his smile widens, "You're still beautiful."

Vixen smiles at Leo, moving into him slowly with one hand in his. She seems apt to reward him with a hug. Though this hug has the added pleasure of feeling her chest to his, with no barriers. "A little preview," she murmurs to him, giving him a firm, lingering hug. Slowly moving back after those moments spent. "C'mon." She grins broadly and will tug him to move deeper into the water for some play. Up to her chest height before she seems content with the depth.

The hug is received and returned. "I'll try not to drown while thinking about..." He is then drug off before finishing the thought. Not that she needed to take his hand to pull him after. "You have your swim and walk in the sand in one," he chuckles as they move to the deeper water. It isn't exactly swimming, of course, but better as he doesn't need to release her hand.

Vixen chuckles softly and lightly bats at the water to send a thin spray his way before releasing his hand to relax he legs, letting her dip down to her neck in the water. "Well, I can't actually swim.. but I like the water," she admits. "Never did learn that.. or how to climb a tree." She grins lightly, her head turning a little to gaze out over the water. "Beautiful, but scary.. so much water in one place." Leonard shrugs his shoulders before they dip lower to the sea, and lets out a soft laugh. "Neither can I. This is about the wettest I've ever been. It is a little unnerving, isn't it?" He's still smiling, though. "I guess we shouldn't go any deeper, hmm?"

"I'm good here," Vixen replies, attempting a light 'swim' now and then, notable when she dips down into the water a bit, just before moving back upward before her lips might go under. "Even if I knew how to swim, I dunno if I could go out there." She glances out toward open ocean again. "Maybe someday I'll learn.. though for now I don't mind keeping away from the deep end. Not that I go swimming much." She looks to Leo. "Sometimes I go to the pool at the gym and lay out for a while. Feels nice, though it isn't like being here." She grins broadly. "You won't be bored if I want to lie out in the sun for a little while soon, will you?"

"I brought sunscreen, and lotion." Leonard's smile turns wry. "I tend to burn, but I thought you might like to enjoy the sun." He seems to prefer to step, float and absently wave his wave his arms through the water. "Should I have nothing else to do, I can always remind you when to flip over, to keep you from overcooking."

Vixen grins broadly at that. "Come on, then.. I think we should get that started now. You can do my back," she murmurs, rising up at once and starting to wade back towards the shore. "Almost never get to sit out in the sun like this. Never was a good place for it at Kingsdale.. and on the move, never can find just the right place." Leonard chuckles and slosh/float/steps after her. "It would never work in the city. The moment you laid out like that, you'd have shade. Be hard enough for me to keep out of your sun." Somewhere en route, thanks are given to those valiant makers of SPF products.
