The lunch rush is at full swing in Happy Burger. The chatter of a dozen low toned conversations and the subtle and no so subtle sounds of eating make for a mixed din, punctuated on occasion by the beep of the registers. Kid is just emerging from the line with a tray in hand, loaded down with two burgers, two fries and an extra large drink. A lot of food for a little person. Her helmet taps against her thigh as she makes her way past those who are on their feet, the way not always clear, but navigated steadily as she considers where to settle with her food.

Tirzah sits at the table to the side being inconspicuous. She idly peruses fliers and town guides with the intermitant sip of a 'soft drink'. Before her her food remains neglected with a single bite taken out of it.

Walking into the fast food place, Sage glances around to consider the surroundings. She's been making a point of checking out places around the city. She makes a brief face at the press of humanity up where the food is served. She briefly considers waiting until the lines die down, but they only seem to get a little longer with her hesitation. She sighs softly, wandering up to the line. Almost instantly looking uncomfortable as she gets swallowed into the lines. Cassius steps into Happy Burger, he just finished working out, so why not go get a great giant helping of greasy protin.

Kid shifts and weaves past people and tables with a casual familiarity, starting to head in a certain direction without giving it much thought. Thus when she sidesteps and pivots to slip past another fellow, taking up most of an aisle, she turns and pauses next to a table along the edge. Tirzah's table, which she drops her tray onto and settles down at in an open seat. Only then noticing the table isn't empty. She stills, blinking at the girl across from her for a moment. Her lips opening for a moment, as if to say something. Pausing.. thinking better of it as she takes a moment to settle on, "This seat taken?"

Tirzah blinks, and pauses for a good 10 seconds before saying "No." She tries to hold her gaze on the flier from the Alibi, reaching for a drink to tide the sudden parched feeling.

Cassius is young teenager, so he's right up to the line, and he'll order 3 burgers, fries and a shake...om nom nom, oh yes. The teenger looks back over towards Tirzah...and Kid and Sage, those two he recognizes. He takesh is tray and begins to walk over, "Sup how you all doing huh?"

Unlike Tirzah and Kid, Sage finds herself stuck behind someone that seems tasked with ordering for a family of six. It seemed the other five were taking advantage of the bathroom and trickle back to give their orders. People in an opposing line even give her sympathetic looks as they bypass her to the counter and away with their food. It seems an eternity before she finally gets to the counter. It takes her a moment before she settles on a chicken nugget meal with a small drink. It isn't until she finally clears the lines that she's able to relax a little. She begins to walk towards the tables. Likely coming near where Kid has ended up.

Kid's lips draw into a straight line as she considers Tirzah mutely for a few moments. Her attention drifting, but not before lingering on the girls face for a few beats. Her expression holds the same firmness. The silence, however, is broken when her eyes dip far enough to note the Alibi flyer. "Thinking of going there when it opens?" Something to talk about, her head nodded slightly towards the flyer before she focuses on her food. When Cassius comes over to the table where the two are settled, she looks up at him, still in the midst of unwrapping her first burger. "Just great." A dry answer to the question, which doesn't give the impression of a positive mood.

Tirzah takes a large swallow from her drink and nods to the stranger. "Among other places. I'm new in town." She manages, finding her voice. Then she follows the stranger's gaze to thew other face, a man, a young man. Tirzah ponders, looking him over thoroughly.

Cassius hrms, and he looks over at the flyer, curious about it. Since Kid doens't appear to be talkative, nor is Tirzah, he just settles down at the table, "Mind if I sit down?" he asks them, if they say no he'll move, but if he doesn't have to he'll start unwrapping his burgers and will chew and dig in, "mmmm" bobbing his head as he takes a sip of cola, "Oh hey...welcome." the teen says, "I'm Cassius." he whipes his hand on his napkin and then offers it to shake.

Its clear by the way that Sage moves that she isn't used to being within a fast food environment where its a virtual maze of people and bolted down furniture. When she ends up finally coming upon the table where Kid has settled down at, she pauses to consider the others that are the table. "Hey Kid." She says simply, before considering the other two for a moment.

Kid just shrugs her shoulders slightly in response to the question on him sitting. More concerned with her burger, a healthy bite taken from it and downed with modestly neat alacrity before she replies to Tirzah. "Well, let me give you some advice," she starts, looking to the other girl. "Best you head there from the north. Less of the Dregs you gotta walk through and it ain't so rough in the north. But you still gotta watch yourself." Advice, rather than a name. The comes Sage and Kid looks towards her voice. Her expression firms a bit again, though after a moment she offers a simple, "Hey there." She even keeps it on the civil side. Though after she turns one of the fry containers towards herself, starting to pick them out for devouring.

Tirzah looks at the hand a moment lacking comprehension but then she clues in and puts her drink down to shake the young man's hand with a girlish grip. "Cassius. I am Tirzah." She then notes the second girl briefly wondering how she signed on for a table of four. She contemplates the advice, "Why? whats so dangerous in the Dregs? I was under the impression civilisations were largely clear of demons and such."

Cassius will take the shake, he's got a firm shake. If that flyer from the Ailibi is around he'll pick it up and read it too. Since everyone is now around the same table he'll make sure he greets Sage, and then looks back over at Kid and then to Tir. He doesn't say a damn thing, he just eats one of his burgers, chewing and looking at the flyer.

Sage simply remains standing near the table for the time being. Her gaze shifts briefly to Kid to acknowledge the response before looking to Cassius. "Hi..." She says, a little uncertain at first. "You were at that club..." She tenses a little as she remembers the aspects of the club that made her uncomfortable. She glances to the unfamiliar face for a moment before addressing the table at large, "Room for one more?"

"The people is what's so dangerous. Gangs and no law from the KDPD or the militia," Kid states, the simple truth of things. "Won't always be a problem, but you obviously don't know the area. Better you limit your exposure for your own good." That last punctuated by pointing her current fry in Tirzah's direction. Sage's request about a seat gets the same response as Cassius got. A casual roll of her shoulders as she devotes a space of attention to diminishing her large meal, making that first container of fries steadily empty. While she doesn't eat in a rude manner, she doesn't eat slowly either.

Tirzah winces as her scrawny arm is shook by the strong young man. Retracting her hand she pays no heed as the flier is plucked away. "Your words hold conviction, and one should always ere on the side of caution. Though given this news and the sign at the gates I seriously wonder about this towns policing forces." She looks to the standing woman and realizes its her table, she could say no. She shrugs lightly "Sure." Tirzah then takes another look at her food, a soft growl emenating from her person.

Cassius gives just a little look at the flier, thinking someone and he lets it flop down, "A Date Auction huh? Interesting..." he takes another bite of his burger and now he goes quiet. 3 women looking at each other from across the table...and one of them is Kid. He just chews his burgers.

Sage nods faintly as the permission is given, and settles down into the chair. She glances to the flier as its mentioned. A thoughtful look coming to her features. She hears the other conversation, but decides to keep quiet for the moment herself. She takes up the first nugget and bites into it. It seems okay at first, but Sage's expression shifts to one that suggests she isn't sure she particularly likes this style of food. Fortunately, she choose a small portion for this reason.

Kid is more looking at her food, really. But still. "Stupid idea if you ask me, but that don't mean it won't make cred," she opines. "Never see me doing something like that." She then gives Tirzah a casual shrug. "They do well enough, but just remember.. no law in the Dregs. Not for you, not for no one else. Only what law you can make. Only there are people there with more guns than you got. So just stay outta trouble."

Tirzah nods contritely considering the outcome of such an encounter. The weapons are no issue to be discounted. But the true pangs of fear she felt revolved around the consequence of such an attack on her person. "A low profile is certainly the best policy. I'm not really ready for such a reputation anyway." She states without indicating whether shes refering to the ad or the advice. Then, precociously she tries another bite of her 'cheeseburger' and winces.

Cassius thinks a little bit about it, "Well, I dunno, I mean, I wouldn't mind getting up there and dancin and see who wants me, why not." he says and he takes a slurp of milkshae while he chews on some fries.

Sage looks up to Cassius at his words, giving a soft chuckle before quickly turns it into clearing her throat. She starts to look a little uncomfortable, before she spots something that spells instant relief. A voice near the entrance calls out, "Sage!" Before going into a sort spanish comment that tells her about a problem that has occurred. Sage looks to the people at the table. "Sorry, gotta go." She begins to take her food, before deciding to tuck the remaining nuggets into one of the larger poaches on her belt. The drink she takes and hastily moves for the exit. Calling back something in spanish to assure the person that she's coming.

Kid glances towards Cassius, giving him a critical, but brief examination. "Yeah, you have fun with that.. not for me," she reiterates at the tail end of it. She seems to assume that Tirzah is still talking about the Dregs, telling her, "Low profile is how you survive." She considers the girl briefly, then notes, "You might want to wear something less.. white, though. You stand out too much in that." A fry gets prodded in her direction again before it gets eaten. She glances towards Sage when the woman gets called on, though save for casually watching her leave, Kid does little to interrupt her steady destruction of her lunch.

Tirzah looks down at the gown Kaili gave her before she left. The thought that it could be anything but the gift she'd received it as literally beyond her. "Maybe But just because one should be cautious does not imply living in fear. This gown represent who I am. To choose something less flashy out of fear would be to lie to myself about who I am."

Cassius just goes quiet at Kid's words, he simply shakes his head and keeps eating his burgers, finally done with all three...he just sits there, giving a sniff and sucking down some more milkshake.

Kid frowns at Tirzah as she gives meaning to the white dress she's wearing. The girl eyes it in the wake of those arguments before she gives a casual shrug of her shoulders. "Your choice, but being sensible don't mean living in fear," she replies. "Besides, if you think that one outfit is you, you're probably selling yourself short. Lots of clothes out there. Hell, I got a stuffed wardrobe and even I don't stop finding interesting stuff." A casual little smirk rising up.

Tirzah shrugs, finding the burger slightly mare palatable than she did at first. "Its not the gown, its what it means to me. For now, I need it. It reminds me who I am." She then lets the subject drop while glancing to the street window. The pale blue eyes glow back at her from her cycle on the street but everything seems fine.

Cassius finishes all of his meal, and he ends up staring down at the discarded containers there, giving a small sniff he finally speaks up. "So Kid, I mean, you're part of that group that took over the Joy arn't ya? Or at least, I heard the DJ..." he says, and he looks to Tirzah, "And where did ya say you came from?"

Kid shrugs, a casual look of non-comprehension obvious enough when it comes to Tirzah's words. Amid taking another bite from her first burger, reduced to half thus far, she glances towards Cassius when he questions her. Taking a moment to clear her mouth before she tells him, "I'm just DJing there. Ain't 'part of the group' cause I didn't put no money into it," she replies with a casual tone. "Why?" Casually asked as she goes back to burger reduction.

Tirzah shakes her head. "I didnt say where I was from Cassius. But if I'm to imply your asking I'm from a small village a fair distance south west of here."

Cassius nods a bit, "DJ, that's cool I think I'm going to be hanging out there a bit." he says with a nod, "ya know, just cause it seems like a...ya know a place for teens to hang out." he says and then he looks back over towards Tirzah, "Uh huh?" he asks, "Good, nice village?"

Kid gives Cassius a strange look. "Seems like it, huh? So you just hang out wherever seems like 'a teen place'?" A brow lifted subtly as she asks that. "Dunno what sort of place it will be. Probably more than you think ti will, but I guess we'll see." Her shoulders roll again, adding to her series of shrugs. She casually listens to the talk of origins, but for now doesn't add to it, finishing off her first burger.

Tirzah shrugs, slowly pecking away at her burger. "It was home. I dont really have much basis for comparison. Sorry." She remarks while mulling over the things she's learned about Kingsdale so far. In many ways the village was better off. She analyses Kid's jibe, interpreting an air of superiority over the young man.

Cassius gives a faint shrug, and he goes quiet then, idly fiddling with his straw in the cup, fiddle...fiddle. The wide shouldered teen looks akward, and remains quiet.

Kid lets her eyes drift towards Cassius. "Look, man.. you should do stuff cause of reasons like that. You do it cause you like what you're doing.. if you like the music and the drinks and such." She gives her shoulders a roll. "Music should be fine.. I ain't about to play no crap." She leans back a little then, surveying her tray. One burger down.. only half a container of fries. She snags her drink and spends some time with it, casually nursing the straw.

Tirzah glares at Kid, irked at the way she cowed the young man. But she lightens up at Kids recovery. Silently mulling her lack of experience in integrating with people as she drains her drink.

Cassius gives a faint little shrug of his shoulders and takes a deep suck of whatever is left of his milkshake...tapping the edge of the cup, "ya I guess you're right." he just agress, not smiling, nor lifting his shoulders, just agreeing to get it out of the way.

Kid shakes her head slightly and shifts her attention to Tirzah, considering the girl for a moment before she says, "Small town, huh? Big change, I bet. Never been to one myself.. small town. But from what I've heard, it ain't nothing like this place." She pauses, then wonders, "It true people all know each other in places like that?"

Tirzah frowns, not liking the mood at her table on bit. She glares at Cassius the frustration inside her sparking. "You know somehow I expected someone of your stature to have a stronger backbone Cassius. Smarten up, you're not ten." She pauses and interprets Kids question while wondering where her outburst came from. "Of course. They don't here?"

Cassius blinks a little bit at Tirzah's outburst, as if he didn't expect it either. He frowns and shrugs no commentially again, "ya know what, honestly, it doesn't fucking matter, why pick a fight over somthing stupid." he says and stands up, cleaning up his place, whiping his hands with his napkin and tossing it on the tray. Making sure he patrols his spot cleanly and goes to toss it in teh trash.

Kid arches a brow slightly as Tirzah gives Cassius some firm words. But she keeps her expression carefully schooled. She even refrains from making things worse by saying something. Besides, she has the response to her question to consider. The response garnering a snort from Kid. "You know how many people live here? I know a lot of people, but I don't know everyone.. not even close."

Tirzah fights the turmoil inside her, good going you chased him off. Like he was worth keeping.. The fire inside just wouldn't be denied. "Fine. Run coward, go back the the gym and your weights." She calls with little resolve left at all. But it works the fires dissipate. "Sure you do. Don't you?" She asks, the concept completely alien to her.

Cassius shrugs his head, "You can mouth off all ya like Ma'am, but you're not going to get me to yell at you, or hit ya. I'm not like that at all." he says and throws away his stuff and sets the tray on top of the garbage. By now people are probably staring, as this conversation is probably loud with in the burger place. The teen looks around and sighs as he realizes he looks like the ass. "All right I'm going." he announces and heads out.

Kid can't help it. She's amused, a subtle upward curl at the corner of her lips betraying that. She's tempted.. glancing towards Cassius as he goes. But she refrains. Trying to be.. 'better'. "I don't know anyone in this room right now," she states, glancing outward at the two dozen or so bodies currently taking up space. She looks back to Tirzah. "Same with everyone else. There's gotta be tens of thousands here.. probably more. I never tried to count."

Tirzah blinks taking it all in. This girl lived her and didnt know a single person in the restaurant. She found herself looking at the people, looking for some kind of familiarity. But all the faces just kind of blended together and she snapped out of it. "You should be more friendly then." She says weakly. "I'm sure any of this people would love to know you. I was just sitting here and met three people." She boasts, gaining some confidence. She smiles with inspiration "I'll show you..." Calling to the crowd she says, "Sir, come join us, give us ladies some company." Only to find her plea discarded by the shifting miasma of the lunch rush.

Kid smirks faintly. "I don't got time to know who all these people are," she states, a casual hand waved towards some of those nearby lives. "Got bills to pay.. and a job to handle. But I know enough people.. the sorts of people that have something to offer me." Again, she seems amused when the girl tries to catch someone's attention. Kid doesn't even look, not expecting a response. When none comes, she adds, "Don't expect everyone to just be happy to see you around here. Most people don't care about most other people. You're living in a place that's way different from where you're from, girl. Best to adjust to that, cause you'll change before this place does."

Tirzah looks at her food, dejected. Strangely she suddenly understands how Cassius felt. Kids last statement rang through her with an eerie finality. They made her feel cold at her core. Then her fires rekindled as she remembered why she's here. "We'll see about that."

Kid doesn't seem too convinced by the rejection of her statement. Giving a roll of her shoulders. "So you say. I won't hold my breath. You just remember what I said about the Dregs. If you go to The Alibi, go from the north. North Dregs is more commercial.. they keep the piece more cause chaos is bad for business. But if you go too far south, things get ugly."

Tirzah nods, gathering her fliers and litter. "I will take your advice to heart. But now I need to go, if nothing else you've reminded me I have a lot to attend to." Taking her tray to the wastebin she casually discards the substances the serve as food at Happy burger. And with a small backward wave to Kid, she heads out the door.

"Lot to do, huh?" Kid considers that, though she doesn't ask. Not interested? Perhaps. But shse does casually nurse on her drink as the girl goes. The wave will get a response in the form of a slight tip of her cup, but that anemic sort of gesture is the limit to what she gives before returning her attention to the remains of her meal.
