Kingsdale - Kingsdale City Museum (Garden)
Located to the east of the Library is an open garden that extends from the floor, up five stories to the skylight ceiling. The garden is forty feet across with a large, polished marble staircase circling the garden extending up to each floor. The staircase has dark, highly polished mahogany railings on both sides of the ten foot wide staircase. In the center of the garden is a fountain about ten feet across. The fountain depicts ten individuals of varying race and sex who supposedly founded the Kingsdale Library. A book placed on a pedestal is located in the center of the ten statues and spews forth water that flows past the statues feet and into the fountain pool. Marble benches circle the fountain and seem more decorative than functional. Marble paths circle the fountain and garden joining to many pleasant areas to think and enjoy the tranquility of the garden. Flowers seem in constant bloom and the hedges of the garden are said to be the healthiest and most beautiful in Kingsdale. The most striking thing about the central garden is that it is a hanging garden. Plants, flowers, and ferns line the walls extending from floor to ceiling on tiers. During the day sunlight enters the central garden filling the area with light that almost has a magical effect especially at noon when the sun is at its highest.
Players- Objects- Exits- Erica <O> Out Zero
With the upper reaches of the hanging garden tended, Sage is able to concentrate on the lower portions. It is around the time where preparations for spring begin while the tending of the plants that bloom in winter are slowly beginning to descend towards normalcy once more. She mainly feeds and waters the plants for the time being. There are other people enjoying the garden, and she even converses with the curious ones.
Zero comes into the garden with his had turned, glancing back into the library as he strolls into the garden's first floor. He shakes his head a little as he turns his attention forward again. But whatever thoughts prompt such a thing, they go unsaid as he takes in the green place. And he will wander a bit at first, hands in his pockets. A casual, uneven circle of the first level that ends with a hook in towards the fountain, which he peers into for a few moments before he decides, "Not bad." A nod of his head given as he lifts his eyes to scan about once more.
Erica is sitting on the lip of the fountain trailing her fingers through the water slowly. She seems to be fascinated by the ripples of the water. Leaning back she keeps watching the flow and ripple of the fountain while her fingers play around in the water. She hums softly to herself and seems fairly oblivious to the world
A story about a particular kind of predator told correctly draws a short cry from a young kid with a mother, bringing a grin to Sage's lips. "But, never fear, they're only interested in flies and other small bugs." She assures before she looks around and finishes off the last of the fertilizer and watering in her section. She uses the left over to rinse her hands off a little. She wipes her hands off on a cloth before climbing down from the lip where she had been squatting.
"I'm betting there's something deep behind that long stare," Zero says as he looks towards Erica. He rounds towards where she sits. "Something you wanna talk about? Or just think about?" He gives her a light grin, then lifts his head, glancing towards the sound of the kid. "Huh.. wonder what that was about," he muses lightly. Though he doesn't seem so troubled as to let his attention linger on the wondering.
Erica looks up from the fountain and spots Zero standing there. She gives him a quick smile before shrugging her shoulders. "Oh nothing I just like fountains and water in general. I find fountains to be soothing." She smiles back down at the fountain before looking back up. "How is it going with Sofiya?"
After tucking the containers she was using away, Sage notices a couple people near the fountain that she recognizes. She wanders over with a faint smile on her lips, "Hey..." She greets them simply before looking between the two of them.
"Can't complain," Zero replies when it comes to his relations with one Sofi. "Went to a gathering, got to check out her family. Not going to rush to do that again, though they had some good food there. So it balances out." His amused grin rises and as Sage comes, he lifts a hand from his pocket to wave at her. "Thought I'd come check the place out. Not bad for a quiet place. I don't tend to go to quiet places too much. I like to stay active, you know?" He considers the fountain. "I suppose fountains are cool too. Might have to come here a bit more often."
Erica looks up and gives Sage a warm smile. "Hey Sage. The garden is looking great as always. You do such a wonderful job." She turns her body a little on the lip of the fountain to more face the other two. She shakes her hand to fling away the drops of water on it.
Catching a little part of the conversation, Sage doesn't seem to get enough to figure out who is being spoken about. She decides not to press into the matter as she's greeting. She gives a faintly amused look to Zero. "Quiet and active are not necessarily different things... but I suppose it is true enough about gardens." She admits, before looking to Erica with a smile. "Well, it isn't all me... but, thank you." She replies softly.
"Really?" Zero considers Sage. "Don't think I've ever heard of a quiet, active place. But if you can name one, I'll check it out for sure." He grins as he turns, pacing around the fountain slowly, his eyes lifted. "Yeah, I don't think anyone could keep a place like this all by themselves. Unless they pretty much lived here. That'd be a strange thing. KInda boring, I'd think." He pauses, glancing back towards Sage. "No offense, of course."
Erica shrugs her shoulders slightly. "Well out in the wilderness is quiet and it can be very active as well." She says after a moment before turning her head back to Sage. "Well then you and the others do a wonderful job together. I always like coming here and relaxing." She stands up from the lip of the founain and brushes the legs of her fatigues with her hands
About to answer herself, Sage nods to Erica's comment about the wilderness. "That would be one place." she agrees, "Yet, I have a feeling Zero is well-used to city living where things are generally busy." She comments, before giving Zero an amused look. "None taken... we come from different backgrounds and interests." She coments, before dipping a finger into the fountain and giving a mischievous look to Erica before letting the moment pass.
"Well, not when I go out, since I take my truck," Zero notes to Erica with a casual grin. He nods to Sage and replies, "I prefer the city, but I'm alright out there. When I need to go out for something. Which isn't too often." He continues around and pauses once he gets back to a spot near the two women. He looks to Sage and wonders, "So what do you do for fun? Besides work, if work is fun for you, that is."
Erica returns Sage's look with a little bemused look of her own. Humming to herself she reaches into the fountain and splashes Sage quickly. Giggling to herself she hops up from the fountain quickly and moves to get Zero between her and Sage. "Well you truck is so noisy you couldn't find quiet a mile away from it." If she gets Zero between her and Sage she sticks out her tongue playfully.
Having an inkling of the other woman's intent, Sage manages to hop back a little to limit the amount that she gets splashed by. She shoots the woman a look, but doesn't pursue and turn the man into an unwanted obstacle. She looks to the man, ignoring the playful gesture by Erica. "I have a horse to ride... although the weather could be better. I do visit the clubs from time to time... and, I think Erica might find out some other things later." She glances towards the other woman with a small smile.
"Other things?" Zero arches a brow, glancing back towards Erica. He considers a moment, then says, "While you're back there, feel free to lean in close and get cozy if you want." His tone casually playful before he looks to Sage again and nods. "Never rode a horse. But I do like to bar hop occasionally. But that can get a bit boring. Though the idea of trying to work up an off roading track is still bouncing around in the back of my head."
Erica rolls her eyes slightly and shakes her head at Zero. "I don't want to get Sofiya mad at me." She giggles again softly as she walks back around, closer to Sage. "She has a beautiful horse. She let me sort of ride it once." She seems to relax as Sage doesn't seem to be retaliating against her for her little splash. "You should do it Zero just get some land and make a track." She says while still looking and smiling sweetly at Sage.
Sage nods faintly to other things, "I have a number of interests that could be fun... but I'm not likely to bore you with going through every one of them. And, I tend to have an open mind... although, there are some things like the Juicer arena that don't hold much interest for me." She shrugs faintly, before smirking faintly to the man's teasing of Erica. "And that might be worth a try..." She concedes in regards to the off-roading. She wanders a little closer to Erica, "As for you..." She comments towards the woman, "I'm thinking I may have to make you do some karoke at some point." She teases with a faint sparkle of amusement in her eyes.
"You just don't 'get land', I suspect. Though I guess it depends if the city will care if I start doing things somewhere near the city," Zero says, giving Erica a casual grin. He then lifts a hand to Sage. "Bore me. And I'm pretty open minded myself. I tend to like trying new things, you know? Not too much I won't try at least once." He grins and adds, "LAst time I tried singing, it didn't go over so well. Though I do have a little rhythm. Nothing fancy, though."
Erica's eyes widen and she lets out a high pitched squeak as Sage threatens her with karoke. She gnaws on her lower lip for a moment as looks around in slightly mock terror. "Uh but I can't sing. Where do they do karoke anyways?" She asks while blushing slightly making her pale skin turn a slight shade of pink. She turns back to Zero and shrugs her shoulders slightly. "Well no harm in asking around and finding out what you would need to do."
"No, land can be a bit expensive." Sage replies, "I should know since I've bought a plot myself." She adds before pursing her lips. "I don't know what kind of restrictions on the surrounding area, though. There's usually some military patrols around... so, I guess it would depend on whether they objected or not as well." She chuckles softly at the man's prompting and Erica's reaction. She glances to Zero, "I'll think on it." She replies before looking back to Erica. The woman's smile bringing a certain smile she gets when she sees people blush. "Well, if the Alibi still does talent nights... that could be one spot... but, perhaps a more private viewing with a few friends might be ... more comfortable." Her tone still teasing.
Erica squeaks again in her little high pitched voice as her blush deepens a little. "Well uh... I guess we could do something like that... uh... So how is your garden doing?
Zero nods to Erica. "Eventually. First things first, getting my baby purring." He smiles and adds, "Not being able to sing is what its all about. I can't either, but you just get up there and start pelting it out. ANd hope no one gets it in their head to start tossing things at you. Gets even better when you get a few under the belt. Start to care a bit less about if you can sing or not and more about how loud you can." He then nods to Sage. "Think away, then. Though if you want to go out and subject people to bad singing some time, count me in."
Erica squeaks again in her little high pitched voice as her blush deepens a little. "Well uh... I guess we could do something like that... uh... So how is your garden doing anyhow? Need any help with it? Uh I could dig or lift heavy things." She shrugs her shoulder yet again before nodding her head at Zero. "Have you tried asking around up at the landing strip? There are mechanics and garages up there?" She gnaws on her lower lip for a moment and shakes her head slightly. "Only time I sing is in the shower."
"Sounds like there might be some new talent looking for work out near the landing strip if you end up needing help." Sage comments towards Zero before turning her attention back to Erica. She reaches out to touch the other woman on the shoulder as she inches a little closer still. She raises a brow faintly at the change of topic. "It isn't the planting season just yet... but I'll check to see if anything needs adjusting within the greenhouse. Once the ground has thawed, though... there will be much to do." She comments, before she pauses at Erica's last comment before getting a grin on her lips. "My, did you hear that Zero?" She asks with a mischievous tone as she looks over to the man, "I think she may be inviting us to hear her sing in the shower." She begins to chuckle before nodding to the man's comments, "Alright, if I get a karoke night arranged, I'll keep you in mind."
Zero considers Erica. "Now there's an image. I'm sure you can tell what I'm thinking so I'll leave it there." He then dips his head to Sage and grins. And the next moment he's thoughtful as he considers the two. "Maybe its just me, but I get the feeling you two have some less than decent innuendo going on here." He glances back at Erica. "That, or you're easier to fluster than I thought." He grins idly and nods to Sage. "Bring it on. I'll sing even if I don't know the words. Just bring some bandages in case I get beaned with something."
Erica sticks out her tongue and blows Sage a playful raspberry. "Oh yah you going to watch me shower Sage?" She asks with a playful smile letting the other woman move closer and touch her without issue. She laughs softly and shakes her head. "No Sage isn't interested in me. She just likes teasing me. And I guess I'm fairly easy to fluster. I get embaressed obviously." She giggles softly and shakes her head slowly. "Just have to know how I guess."
Sage chuckles once more, before looking between the two with a small smile. She nods her head at the other woman's comment, "Friendly teasing only." She assures, giving the other woman's shoulder a faint squeeze before letting it go. She doesn't seem to show any embarrassment at the question about watching the other woman shower. "At any rate, I suspect people would get the wrong idea if we were to convene in Erica's bathroom anyway." She muses, "So, that just leaves the question of whether it'll be someone's apartment or a public establishment of some kind."
Zero grins at Erica. "That's too bad, ruined a rather nice image.. though I think I can hang on to it if I try hard enough," he replies lightly, tone amused. He then grins at Sage and says, "I don't tend to care much about what people think. They'll think whatever they want, after all. But I'm cool seeing how you guys live, if you want to show it off. I'm not hard to impress. Or we can hang out here." He steps up to the fountain, then hops up lightly onto the edge, casually balancing as he starts to walk around on the rim. "You won't have to worry much about embarrassing me either, however you like to relax."
Erica smiles again as she feels that squeeze on her shoulder and steps a little closer to Sage and leans against the other woman if Sage will allow it. "So you really are going to do a karoke night Sage? I guess as long as I'm not the only one singing I guess we can do something like that." She turns back to Zero and gives him a little grin. "You have such a dirty mind Zero, but not like we live crazy wealthy lives. Well at least I don't."
"If I heard right earlier, I have a feeling the image wouldn't have stayed for long anyway." Sage comments with a glance to Zero before shrugging faintly. Mildly surprised by the other woman's leaning into her, she allows a shoulder-to-shoulder touch and places hand on the lip of the fountain in case one of them loses balance. She smiles faintly at the question. "I had only intended it as a tease, but it could be interesting to try once." She comments, before pursing her lips as she considers the comments. "Perhaps it would be best to find a place that offers it and drinks... that way no one gets left with a mess to clean up later."
"Depends what you think is a lot of credits," Zero says, his eyes lowered to watch his path around the fountain. He pauses halfway around and grins at Erica, "As to my mind, I know what I like. Noting wrong with appreciating the natural beauty of the female form in all its variation, is there?" His gaze lowers as he continues along, hands still in his pockets. "I'd offer to host, but I can't explore getting a place until I get a job. Which I'm already looking into. But things like that move slow." He pauses, nearing the two again. He hops off and says, "I can offer a ride wherever we're going, though. Might be a little bit of a squeeze for three in the front, but that just makes it warmer."
Erica smiles as she leans against the other woman. "Well I think if I get drunk enough I won't remember myself singing, and that sounds pretty good to me if I have to do it. Your singing though is amazing Sage. I think I can go through a little embaressment to hear you sing again." She giggles softly at the last part as she shrugs her shoulders. "Maybe we can do it at the Alibi. They have a meeting room and maybe we can rent it out or something."
"I could always make sure you don't." Sage murmurs with a faint tease to Erica, before smiling and shaking her head gently. "And, I'm sre there are people that are better at singing than me... like Aimee when the Valentine's event was held there." She comments giving a faint shrug. "Either way, its one thing we could do." She includes the man by looking over to him. "And that is one rule of wilderness survival should worst come to worst... share body heat. Although, likely not the way you might conjure up in your thoughts." She says with a little humour in her tone.
Zero grins a little and points at himself. "Ex-military. And I've done it before. Though mostly with women. Mostly in the way I usually think, but not always. I might have a dirty mind, but do have self control. I don't like to strain it too much.. might wear out if I put too much pressure on it, but its there." He chuckles and considers a moment, then pulls out of his pocket an old watch, missing its wrist straps. "A little late, maybe." He looks towards the two, a brow lifted. "Not like I have work to worry about, though." He stuffs the broken watch back into his pocket.
Erica sticks out her lower lip and pouts childishly at Sage. "Awww you would do that to me?" She asks in a fake whining voice. "You know when I was in the military they just gave us lots of blankets and then the mages would keep us warm if it got too cold. So is Sofiya ok with your dirty mind Zero?" She says in a teasing manner herself. Looking at Zero looking at the watch she tilts her head. "Need to go?"
In response to the pout, Sage gives the other woman a gentle prod in the side with one of her fingers. "Only if I had a good reason for it." She comments, before deciding to leave it at that. She looks to Zero with a faint smile, "So... you're basically saying that you're a healthy man." She sums up the man's comments in a more simple general one before chuckling faintly herself.
Zero grins and points at Sage while telling Erica, "See, she gets it. I'm healthy. I know what I like and I don't stress it. LIfe would probably be a lot more relaxed if people were more comfortable with that sort of thing." He then considers and says, "I think I can hang out a bit more. I am feeling a little sleepy, but you know how I live, right? My 'room' is right outside in the parking lot. Though I suppose I do have a second place to crash now. A lot warmer." He grins, looking towards Sage at that.
Erica laughs softly and shakes her head. "Hey I'm comfortable with it, but you hit one one or two people as a woman and suddenly people say that you were all over them. Not like I even touched them or suggested anything Jeez." She lets out a little sigh and then giggles. She turns and smiles at Sage at the prod in the side. "Well I don't think I would give you a reason. I'm nice aren't I Sage?" She puts on a wide grin at that question as she looks at Sage
"How you get warmer isn't really any of my concern." Sage replies, "But, they tend not to offer any lodging in here, though." She replies with a tease before looking to Erica. "And, as for you, that would assume I'd be doing it out of spite... which need not be the case." She replies with a faintly amused look in her features.
"I mean my truck," Zero notes to Sage. "And with Sofi at her place. Its not as cold since I fixed her door." He gives Erica a grin. "We're kinda trying out being hooked up, though I can still flirt." He pauses, considering. "You mean just flirting with guys has them saying you're all over them? Sounds pretty egotistical to me." He lifts a hand from his pocket to rub his chin. "I'm pretty confident, but I wouldn't say nothing like that about you. That'd just be rude, you know?"
Erica shrugs her shoulders slightly. "Well people can be pretty egotistical. Yah kind of got me down for a bit. But what can you do? And it is good to hear about you and Sofi. I could tell you and her were totaly in to each other." She turns to look at Sage and gives her a wide eyed innocent look while fluttering her eyelashes. "But Sage You wouldn't do that to me would you?"
A soft chuckle comes from Sage, "I figured as much on both counts... I just decided not to make any assumptions about how things were developing with this Sofiya person." She explains, with a faint shrug before glancing to Erica. She gives a thoughtful look at first as she considers the talk about flirting. Having an idea of who one such person might be, she decides against commenting. She smiles faintly to the look and fluttering of eyelashes she receives. "At the rate you're going, I might think it'd be unsafe for you to get too drunk in the Alibi." She comments, before prodding the other woman's side lightly once more with her finger and getting a small grin on her lips. Then, shifting her gaze to rest somewhere between the two, "Although, at the moment, I'm beginning to feel like heading out shortly myself."
"Well, being around her is a bit like working on a bomb. Pluck the wrong wire and you get your face exploded. Or worse." Zero grins casually. "I mean, nothing against the nice, quiet girls but there's something about a firecracker." He nods to Sage, then says simply, "She's my official girlfriend now. Guess that sort of makes me pretty safe for other girls, cause bed antics are off limits now. Though I can still flirt, so there you go." He grins at Erica. "If we go drinking and you pass out, you'd get safely ferried home. I might undress you so you can be more comfortable in bed, but I suppose I'd have to stop there." He nods and looks to Sage. "Perfectly safe, right?"
Erica turns her head and eyes Zero for a moment. "And before what would you have done?" She asks in a quiet voice. She gives him a little frown but turns back to Sage as the other woman mentions leaving. "Awww Sage I wanted to drag you out to a bar or something." She sticks out her lower lip and pouts softly before shruging her shoulders. "And why would I be unsafe at the Alibi? What would happen?"
"I'll have to keep that in mind if I ever meet her... the fire cracker part." Sage comments as she glances to Zero, before raising a brow at the question he asks her. "I'm not sure Sofiya would see it that way... although, I suppose it would likely discourage her from doing it again." She adds before pursing her lips as she looks to Erica. "That would technical be leaving as well." She points out before consider the woman briefly. "Perhaps nothing in the Alibi... but, certainly wouldn't want you trying to get home alone in such a state. I guess that wouldn't happen, though."
"Well.." Zero gives it some thought. "I suppose I would have done about the same," he says. "Not real polite to do naughty things to a passed out girl either, really. Kind of pathetic too, if you think about it a bit. I'd just have to leave you snoring. Maybe hang out a bit to make sure you're alright before heading out." He smiles. "I might have a lewd mind, but I have a few scruples when it comes to the ladies." He then grins at Sage. "Well, I think Sofi will be fine with it.. well, overall anyway. Of course, I kind of like stoking her fire at times. Nothing like wrestling with a fiery girl i the sleet and slush. YOu just don't get memorable experiences like that with sweet girls."
"Well then if I get that drunk you can just take me home Sage." She giggles and looks at Sage with a little grin. "Well don't get Sofi too worked up or she might really hurt you." She says with a slight shrug of her shoulders and a little wink to Zero. "She seems like one that will recall everything you've ever done wrong." She says with a musing manner before looking up at Sage. "So where would you like to leave too?"
Sage nods faintly to Zero, "I guess if you were good to your word, might not be too much to fight about aside from that wrestling match you might provoke." She replies, before glancing to Erica. "Then, I guess I'd get to choose whether you got a hangover the next day then." She muses softly, before moving slightly away from Erica using a hand if necessary to stablize the other woman if she still leans against her. "And, I'm not sure... but let me wrap up a couple things here and we'll see..." She says before turning move off. "And, take care Zero if I don't see you on the way out." She says as she departs.
Zero nods to Erica. "She's a mystery and a challenge. And pretty strong for a small girl." He grins at Sage. "I'm usually good as my word with the ladies. Well, unless there might be a really good reason to bed the truth." He pauses, considering that for a few moments. "But anyway, I don't like messing with passed out girls. As you might have guessed, I like them lively." He tips his head towards Sage. "I think I'll head out. Get some rest. Or not, we'll see." He then gives Erica a casual grin. "Enjoy your evening."
Erica stands up freely from Sage as the other woman starts walking away. She flashes her a quick smile and a nod. "Ok Sage we don't have to go out though if you don't want. I am just messing about." She nods her head to Zero and gives him a warm smile. "Well have a good night Zero. Say hi to Sofiya for me. I hope she doesn't hate me or anything."
Zero pauses and arches a brow. "Hate you? Nah, I don't think so. Besides, you were just the messenger." He shrugs. "She was worried if you and me were into anything, but I let her know that boundaries were set. So there's no problem at all. At least, so far as I know." He bobs his head and grins.
Erica nods her head and smiles. "Well that is good. Ok Zero I'll see you around." She raises her hand up to wave goodbye
"Catch you later," Zero offers back. "And let me know if you need a designated driver." He winks and turns to head on his way out. Incorrigible? Oh yes.
