Kingsdale - Nightingale
TThe hub of the Nightingale Nightclub is the large dance floor in the center of the club. Overhead are racks of lighting and the infamous speaker system that makes the Nightingale all the rage with Kingsdale's more affluent citizens. A large, carpeted DJ booth oversees the crowd gathered, blasting a mix of the latest techno/pop/hiphop mixes along with Pre-Rift favorites. The club is decorated in mostly drab black and grey colors, to give the place a serene atmosphere. No matter what time of day, there are a few patrons inside, and after 9:00PM, the club usually fills up, with a long line waiting to get inside.
The tables are typical of nightclubs, and there is some seating around the dance floor. There is a section of bar stools near the bar, and a row of booths along the right and left walls. A set of black curtains separate a smaller, private room from the rest of the club. The bar is circular, with about 20 seat all around it. The bar has all the modern conveniences and sports a wide selection of liquor and beer, even a good selection of imports, though the prices are higher than elsewhere in the city, is manned by 3 bartenders at night, 2 during the day. Waitresses wander around the room in skimpy outfits. They march about with their black trays and handle themselves like professionals. Drink orders are punched into a small computer on the try and sent right to the bar. The patrons are mostly the upper class of the city. They sport the latest fashions the cand lub has an affluent atmosphere. No one is in armour or carries weapons that can be seen. Several large men in tuxedos are strategically stationed around the room. A little wire behind their ear proves they are in constant contact, and can hear even over the roar of the DJ.
Players- Objects- Exits- Erica <O> Out
Erica walks into the nightclub with Sage by her side having had to convince the other woman to come out with her. Erica is dressed up trying to look as good as she can in her little red dress. She spots an empty table near the dance floor and claps her hands together excitedly. She hurries over to the table before someone else can grab it and grabs one of the chairs. She raises her hand to wave Sage over to join her.
It wasn't so much the going to the club as much as the insistence on getting dressed up that made Sage drag her feet a little. She finds herself in the dress that Tirzah had gotten her. It feels odd to be in something supposed to be symbolic with her partner. She is the more subdued of the pair that walks into the club. She glances around, before nodding to the other woman's wave. She wanders over towards the table and slip down onto the seat. "Haven't been here in a bit." She comments.
Erica bounces into her seat excitedly as she looks around the club with wide, excited eyes. "See Sage isn't this great? It was so worth getting dressed up, and you look great." She says with a little wink and a grin. She waves to a waitress to come over to the table before turning back to Sage. "Drinks are on me tonight since you had to make the sacrifice and dress up."
Faint amusement enters her eyes as the other woman bounces in her excitement, "Its a nice enough place." She comments with a hint of bemusement, "Although, I think you just wanted to see what I looked like in a dress." She chuckles faintly before shaking her head gently. She glances to the waitress. "Chias sweet?" She asks to the waitress before glancing back to her companion. She looks to be on the verge of making a teasing comment before subsiding.
Once in a while Tirzah ventures out to entertain clients. Wealthy individuals hiring or interested in hiring her often like to get to know her a bit before, and after the job. Tonight is on such night and she sits at a booth with three big men and one diminutive girl. There she chuckles freely at a joke by one of the men as another orders her another drink.
Erica giggles softly as she shakes her head while looking at Sage. "Well yah I did want to see you in a dress. You look great. You should wear a dress more often." She says to Sage with a little amusement in her voice before turning around and looking around the club. She bites down on her lower lip and points over at a booth. "Hey does that look like someone we know Sage?"
There's a knowing quality in her expression as Sage hears the other woman confirm one of the motives. "Wrong kind of weather to get in the habit, I think..." She comments, "Besides, I think people would get sick of seeing this one all the time." She adds with a faint chuckle. She raises a brow as she casts her gaze over towards where the other woman is pointing. She purses her lips as she considers the gathering. "A good chance it is." She comments, "Looks like she's busy, though." She adds as she looks back to the other woman.
"And the way your security chief cowered when I tossed him the fire globe at the end priceless. Could have sworn he was going to wet himself." Tirzah remarks a little loudly as the drinks start to take their toll on her. But she seems to be holding her own as the laughs she get in responce are much louder.
Erica 's lips curve into a wider grin as she looks back to Sage with amusement. "Oh then we can fix that easily. We'll just have to go shopping for more dresses then. I bet we can find you a few that you'll put up with." She giggles softly to herself thinking she has Sage trapped. "Yah she does look busy, but hopefully she'll join us after a bit." She looks up at the waitress as she comes to bring them their drinks. Raising her drink she holds it out to Sage. "Cheers."
"I'll just have to be fussy then." Sage replies simply, "Besides, they aren't practical for everyday wear." She adds, before glancing briefly back towards the table where her partner sits as a burst of laughter can be heard over the music. << Boo. >> She mentally whispers before looking away with a mischievous grin. She holds up her drink to clink against the other woman's, before taking the sip from it. "So... when were you planning on getting me on the dance floor?" She asks, guessing at the next part of this little venture.
Tirzah says, "Are you sure you wont accept the offered position ms Tirzah? I'm sure you noticed it would make you very secure financially." One of the men says to her clearly but Tirzah shakes her head without hesitation. Though a brief mental intrusion in her mind cause her to pause briefly before her verbal reply. "Really I'm honored you think I'm worth so much but really that would be unwise of both of us. I'm just not attuned for the position really, the collateral damage from taking it would probably match that very extensive salary. Which You wont like. And I'm aligning things to go into a different sort of business, So I cant really tie myself down with you. I'm sure you understand." She explains calmly, though the forwns she gets in reply suggest it may not be a okay."
Erica laughs softly after clinking her glass with Sage's. She takes a long sip of her mixed drink before setting it back down on the table. "Oh I was going to put a couple drinks in you first, but if you want to start dancing now we can." She turns her head to look at dance floor and starts gnawing on her lower lip as she looks over the dancers. "My these people are pretty good. I'll have to try to keep up."
Without really glancing back to see if there's any true reaction to her mental intrusion, Sage seems content to glance around the club a little while focusing some of her attention on the woman at the table with her. "Perhaps you should go out and scout the dance floor then... and I'll see to my drink." She comments as the other woman comments about the seeming quality to the dance floor.
"That is most unfortunate. But should your other ventures fall through for any reason Miss Tirzah, do consider the offer open." Then man replies after thinking it over, his expression at least slipping back to neutral. Tirzah nods in acceptence, forcing a contrite smile. "Certainly. Now if you'll excuse me for the night gentlemen, I've seen someone here I would catch up with." She bids before leaving the booth to find Sage's table.
Erica licks her lips quickly as she glances again at the dance floor. "Well I wanted to at least finish my first drink first, but I guess I can do that." She bites down on her lower lip and gnaws on it for a moment before picking up her drink and taking a long sip of it. "But I think you should come with me. Wouldn't be fair to leave me to scout alone." She mentions before turning to look at Sage with a sly little grin.
Nemain pauses as she enters the place. A grin spreading as the music starts thumping through her bones. It isn't more than a few minutes before she's got a small head bob going to the beat, even as she looks over the crowd gathered.
Amusement rises once more into Sage's features, settling mainly in her eyes and the curl of her lips. "I was mainly tease, but I suppose we can finish our drinks and both go if you wish." She replies, before raising her drink to sip from it. She isn't sure how long Tirzah is planning on entertain her table, so she doesn't really glance over there for the time being.
Normally it might take Tirzah a bit to find one person in a busy nightclub. However the wearing of flashy noticeable clothing is proven to draw attention and awareness. So since Sage is wearing 'the' dress Tirzah finds her realtively quickly. Resting her hands on her hips she poses before the pair. "Well what do we have here?"
Erica opens her mouth about to say something before Tirzah walks up to the table. She shuts her mouth and turns to look at Tirzah and offers the other woman a warm smile. "Hello Tirzah. It is nice to see you. I thought I would drag your fiance out for some drinks and a little dancing." She giggles softly before taking another sip of her drink. "You look great by the way. And I love your shoes."
With the arrival of her partner, Sage takes another quick sip before she glances over to see the height-enhanced Tirzah. "She insisted on dresses... and you aren't seeing the other until spring." She replies, "And, I doubt you'd want me wearing something like that." She inclines her head towards her partner's garb. "Not that I'd want to practice dancing in those... probably scare everyone off the dance floor." She adds teasingly as she looks as the footwear.
Nemain's lips quirk slightly as she spots a trio of familiar faces. But they seem busy to say the least. One shoulder lifting in a 'ohh well' shrug as she slips finally towards the dance floor. None of her business that there is a three-way happenening among those she thinks of as friends.
Tirzah looks to Erica with a slowly considering gaze to fully take her in. "Thanks, I like what they do for my legs. Draining to wear them for long periods though." She replies, seeming to want to get that out before broaching her next thought. "So you got Sage to come here in 'the' dress? Your persuasive abilities are greater than I realized." She compliments before smirking at Sage. "And dressed to impress? How goes hun?"
Erica laughs softly and shrugs her shoulders. "Well she owes me for teaching her how to use a knife. So I just leveraged that to get her to come out. I'm looking forward to watching her dance." She says with an amused expression and a little wink given to Tirzah. She turns her head to the dance floor to leave Sage and Tirzah a chance to chat. She looks and sees a familiar face going on to the dance floor and she raises up a hand to wave, trying to capture Nemain's attention.
"Don't think I haven't starting to think about what you can do for me when I start teaching you something." Sage murmurs to Erica, before getting a faint smile on her lips. Then she glances towards her partner, "Well, I was at a disadvantage in terms of wardrobe..." She replies, "And raiding your's likely would have drawn more attention." She adds, before sipping down he rest of her drink.
Nemain seems to be caught in the music as she slips into the edge of the floor and starts dancing to the beat. It's not for lack of trying, mind you. But.... Well.... Dancing is not her thing it seems. She does manage to clear enough room for her form of dance, mind you. Mostly from people moving away in a last ditch effort of self-preservation.
Tirzah smirks, looking to take a moment to imagine that as well. "You never know, might be fun." she hints with a wink and nod. "I'm gonna head home though, clients got me pretty buzzed as it is. Don't want to make a fool of myself. You have fun though." She bids as she leans in to embrace Sage and give her a kiss before heading out.
Erica laughs softly and shrugs her shoulders as she give Sage a quick wink. "Well when that day comes I expect you to take full advantage." She turns to look at Tirzah and sticks out her lower lip and pouts. "Awww Tirzah I never get to hang out with you. You are always leaving." She calls after the other woman before looking down at her drink and continuting to pout. After a moment of pouting she turns her head to watch Nemain on the dance floor.
Despite the amusement in her features, Sage gives a narrowing of her eyes to Tirzah. << Not in public. >> She replies mentally, << Probably fit as well as any of your clothing. >> She briefly remembers a time about a year ago before shaking her head faintly. "But, what if having you make a fool of yourself here is what will make it fun?" She asks with a faintly teasing tone before she accepts the embrace and kiss. "I could come along if you want.. make sure you get home safe." She offers, before glancing towards Erica. "Well, if you want her to stay, she wont be moving anywhere fast in those." She reminds, gesturing to the shoes.
"If you want. I'll not have it resting on me if you ditch your date with Erica though." SHe makes clear with a devious smirk as she turns to the other woman. "And you'll just have to follow me one time I'm leaving then. Might take you places." She notes temptingly before pushing off with her wedges to glide gracefully and quickly towards the door.
Nemain manages to not kill anyone, even herself for all of two songs before disaster strikes in the form of bumping into another couple and tripping them. She blushes darkly as she helps them up, then excuses herself fomr hte floor to see if sitting is safer for her.
Erica laughs and shakes her head slightly. "Go if you want to go Sage. As much as I would like to follow I don't think it would work out." She giggles softly as she leans back in her chair. The crash on the dance floor catches her attention and she leaps up on to her feet and hurries over to Nemain to help escort the other woman to a seat at her table. "You ok hon?" She asks with obvious concern.
"I wouldn't really call it a date." Sage replies softly, despite the comment being a teasing one. Her brow raises faintly to the comment about the possibility of Erica following one time. She glances to Erica at the refusal, but doesn't make any comment either way. She raises from her seat at the commotion, distracted from considering following her partner out for the moment. She isn't quite as fast as Erica as she walks a little more sedately to meet them half-way. "I've had my bad days on the dance floor... just bruises the pride." She comments.
Nemain hmmphs softly as she dusts herself off. "I'm fine. REally, I'm fine. And they aren't bleeding either." She glances between you both as she asks, "Is it left foot first, or the other left with a twist? Drat it! I can't remember the steps. Too long working, I think."
Erica lets her hand move form Nemain so as to not make her angry. "Oh good. Sometimes I have twisted my ankle really badly before on the dance floor. Can I get you a drink Nemain?" She asks as she picks up her own drink and takes a long sip to finish it off. She looks up to wave at a passing waitress then looks over to see what Nemain or maybe Sage wants.
Having picked up on how the woman was moving on her way over, Sage hadn't really moved to support the other woman. She can't help but chuckle at the comment about the other people not bleeding. "I guess that's good." She comments, before giving an amused smile to the question. "You're asking the wrong person here... as long as I'm not stepping on anyone, that's a good dance for me." She comments, before pausing to consider the changed situation. "Assuming she wants company at the moment." She adds to Erica, before giving a thoughtful look as she's glanced at for a drink option.
Nemain hmms softly as she glances back and forth between you both, then sighs. "Fine.. Fine, sitting should be safe enough for me. And water is fine for right now. Not certain I want to try that again while drunk." She pauses and smiles, "Though perhaps that would improve my dancing. IT can't get much worse."
Erica raises an eyebrow at the request for water and shakes her head slightly. "Booze is good for dancing. Helps people move easier, but water it is." She asks the waitress for a water and another one of her vodka and sodas before turning back to the table. "I am not that good of a dancer really. Just been dancing for a bit longer maybe."
A faintly amused look resides on Sage's features at Nemain's comments, "Perhaps... or make you care a little less about who you bowl over." She replies softly, before she begins to move back towards the table. It is just as well that she didn't order herself a new drink as a beeping noise goes off. She frowns faintly, before giving a sigh as she produces a pager. "Let me go see what this is about..." She comments before heading off to find a way to call the number on the display.
Nemain waves after Sage as she nearly collaspses into a chair. She brushes a fluff oif white hair back form her face adn sighs. "Yes, water. I was trying to learn the dance they were doing out there. But my timing was off.{"
Erica gives Sage a little wave as the other woman goes off to answer her pager. "I didn't know you had a paper. Can I have the number so I can page you all the time Sage?" She calls out in a teasing tone before leaning back in her chair and turning back to Nemain. "It happens. Everyone falls sometimes. Well when you want to try again I'll join you. That way I'll be the bigger fool."
