The second floor is a maze of hallways with the floor is worn down to bare wood, and the lights flicker constantly. The floor has old shag carpet cluttered with small pieces of garbage and debris. The walls have been severly neglected and the is relatively no paint as most of it has chipped or flaked off of the years. The building doesn't have an elevator, instead it has a staircase. The old hardwood stairs creak as people walk up and down the stairs. An old, worn carpet covers the stairs and has several holes in it.

Caliopa clambers slowly up the stairs, her coat wet from the snow. A fabric cap covers her hair, but the soaked material doesn't seem to be doing much in the way of protection. Her face is shiny and clean, but glowing from the cold wind, and her hands are pushed deep into pockets. She walks slowly, looking for a door, before pausing in front of one. She stares at it for a moment before pulling a hand slowly from the pocket and knocking three times, loud, clear knocks.

Kaomas looks up from his position on the floor, having been deep in thought and remembering private things. "Yes?" He calls out, unsure who it is, even as he rises silently and slips to the side of the door, hand going for the sleek black pistol near his cot. "Who is it?" He calls again. He watches the door intently, forgetting to put his skin back on.. his arm plain and apparent.

Caliopa chews her lower lip before replying, "Cali. Um. Caliopa. From the aim?" She shoves her hands back in her coat, tucking her chin down and hunching her shoulders. "Uh. If it ain't right, I can go away...tis shiny,..." She takes a step backwards, making a hand movement despite the door between them...

Kaomas furrows his brows, trying to remember the name and the voice. Then he realizes who it is, and he puts the weapon down, slipping on the sleek harness which holds his paired kukri against the small of his back. A baggy tunic get's slipped over that, hiding his bionic left arm in it's folds and he moves to open the door. "Oh.. Cali.. come in please.."

Caliopa lifts one shoulder, hunching it, hesitating before she moves into the room. She keeps near the door, both hands pushed into pockets. "Uh, I just ... I wanted..." She stumbles over her words, before stopping abruptly, and frowning. "I ain't good with folks, and I wanted to say I'm sorry for what I said. Make sure we're all shiny, and it ain't upset you over like." Her gaze stays firmly on the floor.

Kaomas closes the door behind you, glancing out to make sure there is noone else there. Satisfied that you're alone, he look at you, consideirng your apology. "I got upset because it's a painful subject.. I lost my entire life in the blink of an eye... Not something to make light of.." He says, turning away from Cali, showing the bottom tips of the pair of sheaths.

Hunching her shoulders, Caliopa's gaze stays firmly on the floor, a crease appearing between her eyes. "I ain't making light of anything. I was interested, but I get that folks get upset ..." She trails off, shifting uncomfortably, "Anyhow." She makes a movement with her shoulders that is half a hunch and half a shrug, "I'm sorry..."

Kaomas turning to look at you, he studies your definatly feminine form closely before taking the few steps distancing you and he, and his right hand touches your chin, raising your gaze to his. "I accept your apology... on two conditions.. no mor asking about my family.. and you take a look at my arm.." He says, letting the tunic ride up his left arm to show an inhuman hand and wrist, which glints in the light.

Going very still at the touch, Cali lifts her gaze, eyes wide and startled before she steps back, folding her arms over her chest. "Uh. Sure. Um." Her forehead wrinkles between her eyebrows, as she moves her gaze to the arm, and her natural interest has her reaching out a hand to touch it. "What ain't working right with him?" She questions.

Kaomas watches you confused as you why you cover your chest, and he strips his own tunic off, revealing his slim but highly toned chest and torso, and revealing his arm.. which you see goes all the way up to his shoulder, and from the slight scarring on his ribs under the arm.. a few ribs have been replaced as well. "Nothing.. But you like machines..and you may be able to tweak it for me.. add performance.." He says simply, taking a seat on his cot and smiling gently at you.

Caliopa reaches out a hand, pausing before touching fingers on the arm, her eyes narrowed. "Uh it ain't anything that I met before, ain't nothing I'd be working on." She steps back, shoving hands deeply in pockets, her cheeks reddening. "Um, anyhow, I just wanted to clear stuff up, make sure all is shiny and you ain't furious with me and..." All the words come in a rush, and she shifts slightly towards the door.

Kaomas frowns at you turn to leave, his attempts to get you comfortable failing immensely.. "A shame... I'd have given you complete access.. let you tinker.." He says, starting to shrug his tunic back on, concealing the arm. "We're fine.. Now get out." He tells you, suddenly harsh. He rises and moves to the door, opening it and watching you.

Staring into his face for a moment, Caliopa pulls the hat on, down over her ears tightly. She ducks her head, using the hat's brim to hide her features as she walks past him, her shoulders hunching. "Uh, I'll see you around then..." She offers quietly, a world of bemused confusion in her voice.

Kaomas watches you as you leave. "Perhaps... perhaps not.. depends on my mood really.." He says simply and shuts the door behind you.
