The current game time is: Mon Feb 06 22:39:13 107 PA. Raleigh's Retreat - Caliopa's Room

This flat is an airy one, with two double bedrooms, a decent sized kitchen and a reasonable bathroom. The flooring has been replaced with hard wood floor, worn but practical, throughout the whole apartment. The living-room has a lovely view across the city, hidden only when the wooden blinds are closed. The room itself has some small touches, like rugs, cushions and some furnishings. It has a small wooden desk below the window, piled high with papers, all marked with oil and grease stains. Beside it, a well worn leather chair squats and a tower created from books leans against a desk leg. Nearby, an ancient sofa is pushed back against a wall, the cushions suitably squidgy and soft. In front of it, a small coffee table has a small collection of mugs, books and other assorted chaos piled on it, surrounding a large plant that is thriving. In front of a warm, flame heater, a large sheep skin rug lies, looking welcoming and cosy. The kitchen appears to be mostly in order, with a bin that suggests the resident survives on a variety of take outs and yet cooks from scratch, and a sink that has a mixture of mugs and machine parts sitting beside it on the draining board. The most used item in the room is a coffee machine, permanently on the go. At one end, a growing collection of real cooking items contradict the take out boxes, suggesting that either one person with a split personality or two people live here. A small collection of herbs grows out of small pots there, thriving well despite the machine parts near by. Caliopa's bedroom has a double bed in the middle, with a patchwork throw over it. Her clothes are mostly stacked in shelves in the wardrobe, one lone dress amongst jeans, combats, t-shirts and sweaters. One pair of heels amongst the boots and trainers. Sage's bedroom is simple, neat and tidy. In one of the corners, a small replica of a stone garden is placed, the colour of the rocks matching the throw over the bed.

Players- Objects- Exits- Erica <O> Out

As she had offered, Sage has arranged to meet with Erica before leading her to the Raleigh Retreat. Walking through the complex until she reaches the right building, she leads the other woman to a particular floor and after a couple turns they've arrived at the right flat. She opens the door and steps in before holding the door open. "I'm still not sure what to do with this apartment... but it feels too soon to let it go." She comments, "But, you can take a look around and see if something like this would work better for you than that hotel room. It may be more expensive than your room, I'm not sure."

Erica nods towards Sage as she walks into the apartment. "Of course. You should hold on to it until your ready to let it go." She gnaws on her lower lip as she looks around the apartment. At first she studies the floors for a little bit and then nods her head to herself. "I like the floors. And really the whole place is pretty nice. I can see why you wouldn't want to give this place up. If the other places around here look like this I would like one." She walks into the kitchen and starts testing the appliances. "Did it come furnished with these?"

Sage nods faintly, "It has a few memories as well." She comments, "Which can be good and bad." She adds with muted humour. She stays off the side as the other woman looks the apartment over. She follows along when the other woman moves to the kitchen. She purses her lips a moment at the question, "I'm not sure... by the time I moved in here, Cali had already been living here for a bit." She comments, "Of course, we had to come to an agreement about where she'd keep her greasy parts... among other things." She smiles faintly as she recalls that time.

Erica offers Sage a sympathetic smile as she nods her head slowly. "You know you don't have to give it up if you didn't want to. You could always sublet it or something." She walks back over to Sage from the stove and gives her a pat on the shoulder. "I mean when your ready. Or you could always ask Tirzah to move in with you here, but maybe that would be weird. It really is a nice place greasy parts and everything."

A thoughtful expression comes over her features as Sage considers the woman's words, "Tirzah said I could take the time I needed." She comments, "But, I suspect it would be more likely for me to move in with her than have her move in here." She shrugs faintly, "I suppose I could always make another use of the apartment... whether subletting or converting it into an office of sorts. I'm not sure... and, it is possible that Cali might return.... even if my intuition may suggest otherwise."

Erica shrugs her shoulders slightly as she keeps smiling softly at Sage. "Well just an idea or two. I think maybe subletting it might be the way to go, but of course it is up to you." She looks around the place and nods her head to herself. "Mind if I take a quick look at the bedrooms? I like the rest of it, but do need to check those out."

Sage nods faintly, "Perhaps..." she replies softly as she seems more thoughtful than anything else at the moment. She takes a moment to slip into the kitchen to pick out a bottle of beer and a bottle of water. "Want one?" She asks, as she walks out of the kitchen. Then she considers the other woman before nodding faintly to the question about the bedrooms, "If you don't mind me watching while you do." She mentions before she begins to walk towards the part of the flat where the bedrooms are. If Erica should pick one of the bottles, she'll hand it over.

Erica nods her head as she reaches out and takes the bottle of water from Sage. "Thanks for the drink. Yah I'll just take a quick look." Following Sage to the bedroom area she opens the bottle and takes a sip of the cold water. Opening up the door to Sage's bedroom she takes a step in and starts looking around. "Oh nice garden. I like this bedroom. Big enough for me that is for sure." She says after she gives the room a once over then walks back out of the bedroom. "Yah I wouldn't mind a place like this at all. I'll just have to figure out how much one is."

With the other woman taking the water, Sage settles for the beer as she opens it up to sip from it. She smiles faintly when the other woman decides to go into her's instead of Cali's. She settles lightly near the door frame as the other woman empties. "I'm glad you like it... I made the garden." She adds the second part, "Although, aside from the bigger space, is there any reason you'd want to move away from the room you have now?" She asks, "Or is it just that it feels like a temporary place?"

Erica lets out a little sigh as she walks back into the living room of the apartment. She walks over to the couch and takes a look at it before remaining standing. "Well I need the room that is for sure, and it does feel temperary. I would like a place to call my own. Where I can do work on my equipment and maybe get a workdesk. I don't know just doesn't feel like home." She turns back to face Sage and shrugs her shoulders again.

When the other woman seems to be done looking around her bedroom, Sage steps out of the doorway to let the other woman exit. She takes another drink from the beer, before she moves to walk a little towards the living room area. She nods faintly to the other woman's comments. "Fair enough." She replies softly, "Well, how about you ask around about whether they have different kinds of flats... I'll ask around about a couple things... and we'll see how your search for a home goes." She offers, before taking a small sip.

Erica walks back over to Sage and gives the other woman a warm smile. She reaches out with her bottle of water and touches it against the other woman's beer, if Sage allows it. "Well I think I can drink to that." She says with a little giggle before taking a sip of the water. "Thank you again for letting me look around. Is there anything I can help you with? I mean I can help straighten things up around here for you... if you want."

This time the smile is a little infectious as Sage's own lips curl in response. She's content to clink her beer bottle against the bottle of water even if it doesn't produce the clinking sound of two glasses being touched over a toast. "It is no problem at all." She replies, before raises a brow faintly in a mild questioning look. "Oh..." She replies, "Not just yet." She decides, "But, thank you for volunteering for whatever task I come up with for this place." She says with a mildly teasing tone.

Erica laughs softly and gives Sage a quick wink. "Well I just like to help out and keep busy I guess. If your going to use me as slave labor, what can I do?" She says with a laugh while shruging her shoulders again. She leans back against one of the walls of the apartment to relax before taking another sip of her water.

Sage's eyes sparkle in amusement and her smile becomes a little more than just one brought on by seeing somoene else smile. "Slave labour, hm?" She muses as if it were a thought she had not considered. "Perhaps you should be careful what you wish for..." She adds with a little humour in her tone. She takes a sip from her beer before wandering a little closer to Erica.

Erica shakes her head slightly while wearing a bemused expression on her face. "Oh are you and Tirzah going to make me your house girl?" She says in a teasing manner as she raise her bottle of water up to her lips and takes another sip. Her eyes twinkle with amusement as she stays leaned against the wall.

Sage raises a brow faintly at the question, before shaking her head with a small smile on her lips. "You would have stiff competition for that spot in her apartment... she has a unique form of house cleaning." She comments, "So, I imagine you're safe enough from that happening." She purses her lips, before glancing around the apartment. "So, anything else you'd like to see or ask before I start to consider how long we will remain here?"

Erica raise an eyebrow before she starts giggling. "Oh I bet. She likely summons something that cleans it for her maybe." She shakes her head slightly at the thought. At Sage's question she gnaws on her lower lip for a moment while looking around. "Nope everything looks good. Thank you again for letting me see it."

Sage raises her bottle as if to salute Erica, "Clever girl." She replies softly with a hint of bemusement. "Although, it was interesting to see what happened when she was asked to do without it for a bit." She adds before chuckling to herself, the nodding as the other woman has nothing further to bring up. "Then I shall let you go on your way... after you pay the admission fee of a hug." She says with a mock seriousness.

Erica breaks out into giggling again as she nods her head quickly. "Oh I bet it didn't go very well. I would get out of practice if I could summon things to clean as well I'm sure." She says as she stands up from the wall. At Sage's mention of a fee she sticks out her tongue at the other woman playfully. "Oh my you really wish to bankrupt me don't you?" She says with a wink as she opens her arms wide and steps closer to Sage for a tight hug.

"I suppose anyone would." Sage replies with a faint shrug as if it did not matter overly to her. She's merely amused at the other woman's reaction to her mention of a fee. "How else would you suggest getting that slave labouor you think I want?" She asks before opening her arms to embrace the other woman. Once the embrace ends, she'll step back before motioning the other woman to follow her towards the exit.

Erica hugs Sage tight in a friendly hug before taking a step back. "Oh not to worry. I think you already know I'll do anything to help you out Sage. What else are friends for?" She says with a wink before following Sage out towards the door. "Say hi to Tirzah for me when you see her."
