Overview
To create a base cost for all goods by manufacture, this is done by the Table at the end of this policy. Then add/subtract the FLUX change each month for how much suppliers will charge store owners.
Then depending on the deals each store owner has these prices will go up or down via the percent the store owner has. This must be IC'ly Role-Played with NPC Supplier Rep's.

For PCs store owners, they may set prices at whatever they wish, but they have to buy the items prior to selling them. PC Shop owners must stock the items in their store before hand. Shipping costs will not be counted in money, only in time it takes to arrive. On average it takes staff 3 to 5 days to fulfill an order, but it can take longer.
Rush Orders: If it is very important, staff will try as they can to do it more quickly. They may charge you more for a rushed order.
Base Costs: May change as the game continues depending on various world factors.
NPCs will always go off of listed book price of an item + FLUX + Commonality.
Below is a list of items and how common they might be in stores. Depending on how common they are, will also effect the price.
Common and Uncommon items are always in stock and can be purchased immediately.
There is a 60% chance they will have Rare Items in stock.
40% chance they will have Exotic Items in stock.
And a 25%chance they will have Unique Items in Stock.
All of the rolls must be equal to or lower than the percent. A roll can be attempted every IC Month, it is the player's responsibility to remind the staffer about this roll.
Selling
If you are trying to sell something, please try to sell to other players first. Otherwise, you will be selling to an NPC, which will only give you 50 percent + Commonality +/- FLUX.
100 to 95% of the Original MDC, it will be sold at -50% of listed price.
75% to 94% of Original MDC, it will be sold at -60% of listed.
60% to 74% of Original MDC, it will be sold at -70% of listed.
40% to 59% of Original MDC, it will be sold at -80% of listed.
Anything less than that, you can get -90% of listed.
In addition to this, any armor which has been repaired and shows extra wear will have an additional -15% of the listed reduced from the sale price.
The only exception to this rule are items which have hard currency or intrinsic value. These things will be sold back for Base Value + Commonality +/- Flux. See the section Economy#Currency page for a list.
Currency
There are multiple types of Currency in the Rifts world. Black Market Credits, CS Credits, Splugorth Credits, Phase World Credits, gold, silver, diamonds, just to name a few. Each has its own ups an downs.
For example, Black Market Credits won't be accepted by a normal store inside of the CS. Splugorth Credits are considered 10 times the value of Black Market and CS Credits.
Some things have a hard value but aren't credits these are the widely accepted value items such as gold, silver and the like. Her are the base levels and values of the precious metals.
These are all considered Uncommon.
Copper 20 per ounce
Silver 300 per ounce
Gold 1000 per ounce
Platinum 1500 per ounce
Steel and Pure Iron 10 per ounce (Considered Common)
Semi-Precious Stones, Precious Stones and Gems are listed in the Rifts Ultimate Edition in the Techno-Wizard section. While the values in there may be slightly different from what CoK uses, they are close. All of these items are considered Rare.
When selling these types of materials it is Value + Commonality +/- Flux.
Loans
Loans may be given by the Kingdom to help new business. The loan will be paid back plus 10 percent + 1 percent per each year after the 1st. If you miss a single payment, all land, property and possessions will be seized and sold at fair market price to repay the loan. The taker of the loan must place something as colateral to the city, worth at least 50 percent of the loan.
Flux
The Flux is how the economy of the store, city, country, contenent, and megaverse in general effects business in the small city of Kingsdale. The Flux will be rolled every IC Months, or every 2 weeks RL and posted to a staff only +bboard.
It is fixed for the IC month, unless something major happens during that IC Month that might effect it.
Flux will be determined by rolling 3D10 and 1D6. The 3D10 will be the percent increase/decrease. The 1D6 will indicate whether or it will be an increase or decrease. 1,3,5 will equal an increase. 2,4,6 will equal a decrease.
With the various NPC Vendors on the grid, one can review them to see if the FLUX is up or down.
PC Run Stores
Sometimes players will want to run their own store. There are two types of player run stores.
The first is a store designed only to bring only Role-Playing which will gain money as a player run business as a flat rate.
The second is a business which is for profit, these types of stores will gain income gained from other Players on the grid.
Both have benefits and detractors, but having a store front can be very expensive and a long term proposition. So choose wisely.
Buying from NPCs
Base Cost will vary depending on ORIGINATION location of items. NPC Vendors will sell different items. BM vs NG vs CS vs Free Quebec vs Triax vs Titan vs Etc. But also depending on the rarity of the items.
The following are the various catagories and the base prices percentages:
Common: +15% of Listed Price: Titan, Nothern Gun, Wilks, Welington, Chipwell, and Coalition States (Old Issue).
Uncommon: +25% of Listed Price: Free Quebec, Triax, Black Market, and all Common Class Power Armor and Robot Vehicles. Common medical supplies, cybernetics, precious metals, and bionics.
Rare: +50% of Listed Price: Coalition States (New Issue), Naruni, Stormspire, TW Equipment Listed in Various Books, Non-Rune Magical Equipment Listed in Various Books, all Uncommon Class Power Armor and Robot Vehicles, Armor and Weapons. Precious gems. Uncommon medical supplies, cybernetics, and bionics.
Exotic: +100% of Listed Price: New Coalition States Power/Robot Armor and Style weapons. Splugorth Items and Other Out of Region Items. This includes Non-Importated Triax Items, Japan, Russia, Austraila, and other Region's Items. All Rare/Exotic Class Power Armor and Robot Vehicles.
Unquie: +200% of Listed Price Phase World Other Off-World Item.
