With things coming together before coming storm of events, Sage has come to the garden seeking a momentary refuge from things. She sits at her alcove, staring at no particular point within the garden. Her breath comes in a relaxed but steady intervals.

Erica walks into the garden slowly looking around. A warm smile is on her face as she enjoys the beauty that is inside the garden. Walking up to the fountain she takes a seat on the lip. Letting a hand dangle down she traces her fingers through the water and idly watches the ripples that appear.

When she eventually shakes off her thoughtful - almost meditative - trance, Sage lowers her gaze to find a familiar person has come into the garden. "Come for a little peace as well, Erica?" She asks softly, letting her lips curl into a smile. She stays seated where she is, amid the plants to either side for the time being. Erica looks up from the ripples in the water to see Sage there. "Oh hello Sage. I just like the garden and fountains in paticular. It is nice to see you." Erica says as her lips curve into a warm smile. "You finding the peace your looking for?"

"Hey..." Sage replies softly in response, before nodding to the comment about the woman's preference. She pauses briefly before answering, "Somewhat... I sense something different... like a thing hovering out of the cover of my eye but has yet to reveal itself full... it distracts a little." She offers a faint shrug before she moves herself to be able to sit on the lip of her alcove.

Erica runs a finger through the fountain slowly as she talks to Sage. Her eyes keep looking at the ripples in the water while she speaks. "What do you think is distracting yourself? The problem with Alistair? Or is there something else bothering you?" She smiles at Sage as she tilts her head to listen to what is bothering the other woman.

"The problem with Alistair is troubling, but things are coming together." Sage comments, "It seems deeper than the prospect of never returning from that, though." She takes in a breath and lets it out through her mouth. "It feels like something is changing within... I've felt similar in the past at times." She comments, "I'll know soon enough, I suppose."

Erica nods her head slowly as she listens to Sage. "What happened in the past? What changed within you? I hope it is a good change." She looks back down at the water while she runs her fingertips in little circles in the water. Erica gnaws on her lower lip for a moment as she looks up at Sage with concern.

"Telepathy was one change." Sage's says softly before her lips purse as she considers whether is a good change. "I seem to be reactive to things that happen to me... and lately Tirzah has been trying to motivate me to be able to defend myself." She comments, before she slowly rises to her feet. "It is hard to say what might come of that." She adds, "I could become dangerous with but a thought." She offers, before she begins to wander towards the fountain herself. Her gaze considering the woman. "Would you fear me then?" She asks simply.

Erica looks at you with her wide eyes and nods her head quickly. "Well I think it is a pretty cool change if nothing else. There is nothing wrong with being able to defend yourself." She offers Sage a quick encouraging smile. "I wouldn't be afraid of you. I know that you wouldn't change into some monster. Besides it takes a lot to scare me." She gives a little giggle and gives Sage a quick wink.

A faint nod greets the woman's response to her question, before Sage offers a small smile to the other woman. "Well, I suppose we'll see how scary things get on that rescue." She replies, before she gazes into the water and lets her hands rest on the rim of the fountain. "I'd almost suggest thinking of ways to decorate this place for spring... but, I'm not sure I would really focus on the topic." She comments, before glancing towards the other woman.

Erica's smile gets warmer as Sage approaches the fountain. "Well if things become too scary just remember that you have a friend that believes in you, and together we'll be able to work things out I'm sure." She nods her head to herself as well as to Sage. "Well the nice thing about spring is that nature sort of helps decorate its self. But maybe we could find some ribbons and things to put up."

Sage's gaze shifts to the other woman at the re-assuring comments, "I was more wondering if it would be enough to scare you... but, that is certainly nice to know." She comments, the first bit being laced with bemusement. She considers the other woman briefly before looking around the place, as her lips purse. "A re-arrangement of certain plants... perhaps... and something exotic for Tirzah... but, it may be best to keep anything additional to a minimum, lest they make me clean up before I can celebrate."

Erica thinks about it a moment before she answers. "Well I doubt it would scare me after all we all have to change as time goes by, but as long as it is still you I don't think it will scare me." She shares Sage's look of amusement for a moment before she turns her attention around to the garden. "Well maybe an exotic plant like a Brain tree or Faeries' Cauldron. I saw those in Lazlo one in a botanical garden they had there. Something exotic like that would please both the keepers of the garden and maybe Tirzah too."

"That wasn't..." Sage begins to respond before simply shaking her head with a faint smile, "Its a good answer anyway." She comments, before she turns over thought to the garden and the comments the other woman offers. "Perhaps... and assuming they're available somewhere in that magic shop here." She comments, before glancing back to Erica. "But, there is time to think on it."

Erica raises her eyebrows at Sage in slight confusion. "Then say what you mean hon." She giggles softly and shakes her head a bit. "Hmmm they might be. I think the labels at the garden said they were originally from some place called England, but I don't know where that is." She shrugs her shoulders quickly as she stands up from the fountain and walks closer to Sage.

Celaeno makes her way into the museum, all smiles and furtive glances as she moves through the portraits then the books then the gate to the gardens. Her stride is long, her gait is gay, and her arms swing just-too-much-to-be-casual as she moves. With a slide around one of the benches as she moves through the gardens, heavy-lidded eyes slide over everything as she begins moving toward one of the back corners, a satchel slung high on her back.

"Whether the situation we face will scare you when we're in the thick of it, of course." Sage replies, with a faint teasing tone now. She nods to the comment about where there previously mentioned plants are from. "I'm not sure either... but, I imagine someone does." She comments, before glancing towards Erica as the woman moves closer. This as a result means she's looking towards the entrance of the garden. A figure catches her attention, before a small thoughtful frown comes to her features. Faint recognition begins to bloom as she seems to forget about Erica for the moment. She steps around the woman, "Celaeno?" She asks, with a little uncertainty. It has been a little bit since she's seen the other woman after all. "Well it might scare me when I'm in it who knows? But I will do my best to not let my fear get the better of me." Erica says with a little of her own teasing tone. "Maybe we can find some. I know Tirzah would like some Faeries Cauldron." She turns her head to see who Sage is looking at and her eyes take in Celaeno for a moment as she takes a step back to let Sage get a better look. Message submitted to the Rule Questions queue.

Celaeno skids - yes, skids - as her name is called, a superfluous spin added as she comes to a jerking stop. Eyebrows raise, her smile growing somewhat deeper as she greets the woman she obviously doesn't remember, "Heyyyy, how're you doing? Been a while, no? No?" The question hangs thickly in the air as she begins building up some momentum toward the two, arms opening wide for a hug as she approaches, turning immediately to Erica after either the embrace or the shirk for the same. "Name's Cel," she begins, turning briefly back to Sage with a slightly chiding tone, "Cel. Pleased t'meet you."

When the new arrival seems to response to the name, Sage can't help but smile. "Yeah, it has been." She responses, as she tries to recall more about this woman. Deciding that she seemed to like Celaeno from previous meetings, she'll accept the hug even if its on the brief-side. Its a little bit of a strange moment and she can't quite blurt out what's on her mind for a moment. Her lips curl faintly as she realizes the other woman is either struggling for the memories too or just playing with her. "Sage." She replies wth a faintly amused tone before she takes a breath, "I'm glad you're here. I need your help... or more importantly Alistair needs your help." She manages to get out - even if her tone is a little somber..

Erica looks a little confused as Celaeno gives her a hug. She returns the greeting half heartedly while she looks to Sage to see what is going on. "Hello Cel. I'm Erica. It is nice to meet you." She gives a little giggle to herself as she takes a quick step back and watches Sage and Cel. As the talk moves to Alistair, Erica's expression turns more serious and she nods her head slightly as she listens in. "That he does."

"Oh, Al?" Celaeno asks, her smile checking only slightly as she moves to her own sphere of personal space. Hands sliding readily into her coat pockets, her glance slides between the two women for a moment, an eyebrow quirking. "Other than trying to increase his odds by slanting the ratio in his favour, what's the bastard's problem, hmm? Don't tell me he's gotten himself into a jam."

A short chuckle comes from Sage, even if it only seems to have less than the normal amount of humour in it. "Quite the jam." Sage replies, "I think he fell into a trap while trying to do something good... and now it seems he'll be used for some magic ritual where he and some other defenseless people are going to be sacrificed." She doesn't even feel like sugar-coating, "Somehow he can communicate to Cali when she sleeps and he thought you, in particular, would be able to help him get out of there." She continues, "He's warned us that coming to help him will be a trap... but, he'll die if we do nothing." She gives a sigh, "I'll be going, Erica, and some strange fellow named Ahriman as well. We think they want more power for their ritual... so, if its any comfort, Ahriman may be the one they'll want to grab most." She pauses as she considers Celeano, "And... there's something strange about where he's being held in that people can get in but not out... and, I'm probably saying way too much."

Erica nods her head slowly as Sage speaks. She remains quiet for the most part as she stands close to Sage looking towards Celeano. She flashes Sage the occasional encouraging smile.

"Oh, Al, Al, Al..." Celaeno says, her head shaking though a smirk never leaves her lips. "Never should've put himself in the position to begin with, really. Just goes to show what winds up happening when you're trying to be selfless," she states flatly, eyes shifting to Erica for a few moments before adding on almost to herself, "Though, can't say I'd be too broken up about that other bloke being nabbed." A deep breath is taken - released - and a giggle let loose as she produces a cigar from a pocket, asking absently "Either of you got a light?" If one is offered, she'll take it - though otherwise she'll proceed to search for her own. "And - even if he really doesn't deserve it all that much - I think we should be able to make those fuckers pay, hmm? I'm sure payment can be worked out after he's pulled out of the fire."

The reaction of the other woman is considered by Sage as her own expression becomes thoughtful. "Perhaps." She replies non-committally to the selfless comment, before nodding faintly to the comment about not being broken up about the other guy getting nabbed. The question about the light brings a shake of her head, "Not at the moment." It isn't until the other woman expresses interest that Sage's posture relaxes and lets a little smile come to her lips. "I imagine there may be a few things that will need to be settled when the smoke clears. But, I'll be glad to help figure that particular detail out." She pauses, "Oh... from what I can tell there are four robed figures that are part of this ritual and there may be a giant spider with a skull on its thorax... and, if my vision is right, Alistair will be trapped by a web. I think anyone else there will be defenseless people. If that helps you prepare any."

Erica grabs a lighter from her utility belt and tosses it to Celaeno. She shakes her head slightly as a little smirk curls her lips. "Well his safe rescue is the most important thing rather then making others pay, but I guess we can try to do both." She turns to smile at Sage as she nods her head. "Well hopefully the spider can't fly. Maybe I can just fly in and rescue Alistair." She says with a chuckle and a wink.

"Cut down the Robes, try to duck the web, shoot or avoid the spider," Celaeno says with a dismissive wave of a hand, taking the moment to put up a cloud of smoke in earnest. Eyes closed, the world swirls around her for a few moments as the others speak. "I'm not sure about these other defenseless bastards, personally," puff, puff, puff, "But I couldn't give a damn about making them pay for their rescue. So far's I'm concerned, all the debt's on Al - he's the one bitching through his psychic link, after all." Puff. "And hell, if you can swoop in and get him out, well, that'd certainly make it easier. Maybe we could bring some gear for him to change into so he could join in on the fight, hmm?"

"Hopefully it turns out to be that simple." Sage replies, smiling faintly at the bravado of the other comment. "But, I wasn't thinking of squeezing the other defenseless people ... I just meant that Ali is going to have to answer to Cali as well." She comments, faintly amused at the other woman's comments. "Anyway, I'm sure we'll have some time to figure out how to play this... we're not supposed to know this is a trap, after all." She comments, "And, bringing something for Ali could be one thing." Suddenly there's someone calling out her name from the entrance and she murmurs an "Excuse me." before moving off to see what her fellow musuem colleague wants.

Erica raises an eyebrow and holds out her hand towards Celaeno. "My lighter?" She asks and waits for the other woman to give it back or not before she takes a couple steps back to avoid the smoke. "Sounds like a plan of a sorts. We should do some scouting though if we can figure out how. I guess it is in a dimensional anomoly or something." She turns her head to look at Sage curiously as the other woman moves off for a moment

Celaeno's hand slides back into her pocket as she produces the lighter, a smug smile of innocence rising to her face as she hands it back. "I'm sure we'll think of something," she says with another dismissive wave. "I mean, if we've got time, we've got time. If we don't, then there's not a whole lot to be done anyways. But that's all right - they fucked with the wrong sucker." Turning to watch Sage walk away, she gives a shrug and a wave. "We've got this. Though, if you don't mind the question - it being so early as it is in everything - what exactly," she asks as she turns to Erica, "Do you bring to the table?" Her head cocks to the side as the question Is asked, the everpresent smirk growing.
