Kingsdale - The Alibi

The club is a liberal mix of modern and classic styles with a dark, warm lean to the hardwood and metal decor, dressed up with velvet and leather. Set up about the stage with attached DJ station and dance floor at the center, the entrance is set to one end of this, the bar to the other. The entrance itself is tightly controlled. There are always two well dressed people at the front, a bouncer to check each person coming in and another watching the drum and closet lockers that hold all patron weapons.

A broad , semi circular stage extends from the center of the widest wall, rising two feet, with lights rimming the edge and hidden in scaffolds high above. A rich red velvet curtain lies ready to sweep about and veil the stage itself from view. The DJ booth is set up right next to the stage, set into the same wall. With a thick window and biometric locks on the two side doors, one to the stage and the other to a set of stairs down, the equipment within is secure. Within a C shaped desk and racks hold the sound equipment, all linked into a central computer. All done up in sleek, dark cases, mixing well with the warm, wood paneling of the booth's exterior.

A dance floor is central to the club, laid out in a broad circle before the stage. Laid out in a semi circle opposite the stage side of the dance floor are a series of round tables, with smaller two person sized ones at the edge, with larger four person tables in the next row and a few grand six to eight person tables on the outer edge. All staggered to make for the best view for all to the dance floor and stage. To one side of this central focus is the bar, a broad affair taking up much of the shorter wall in width. The bar itself is a mix of modern and classic, with the simple, elegant hardwood design of the bar itself mixing with the display of alcohol behind it, opaque plastic shelves lit from within to highlight the wide selection of common and uncommon liquors for sale. The barstools themselves, lined up in a neat row, mix dark metallic stems with comfy red leather seats.

Erica comes in out of the cold covered in large coats. She is very bundled up as she approaches the doorman. Offering him a warm smile she starts unbundling herself from her coats. Checking those coats in she walks over to the bar. Nodding her head at the bartender in greeting she climbs up onto a barstool before ordering herself a mixed drink

Down the bar a little from where Erica ends up setling, Sage is in an animated conversation with one of the bartenders as she goes over the concotion she would like made. They likely will never become a staple on the recipe, but they seem to humour her.

Erica smiles again at the bartender as she gets her cocktail. She spots Sage down the bar and she raises her glass in greeting. She climbs down and walks over to the empty stool near Sage. "Hey there." She says while she stirs her drink with the staw in it. "How are you doing Sage?"

It will take a couple moments for her drink and Sage seems to be a little amused at the steps required to make this one. Nothing ridiculous, just a need for flair which the bartender supplies. When she notices Ericas, she looks over with a small smile. "Hey..." She replies, "I'm doing pretty good and yourself?" Her tone soft, but loud enough to be heard over the music.

Erica climbs up into the adjacent stool. Once she is up on the stool she takes a drink from her cocktail and taps her finger on the glass in time to the music. "Well I'm doing alright. Just another nice day... well despite the cold weather. What have you been up to Sage?"

A soft chuckle comes as the exception is made, before Sage shakes her head gently. "Better cold than a bizarre." She comments, "Although, all natural things have a certain beauty about them... whether you appreciate them or not is another matter." The last part said with mild bemusement. "Ah." She says when her drink arrives and takes it from the bartender with a "Thank you." She takes a sip from the mixture before glancing over to Erica. "Mainly just making plans for the future... have trip to Madhaven coming up with a bunch of people, thinking of forming a group for people that appeal to the nature people and there are at least a few of us, and... a special day for Tirzah for I." She comments, "How about you?"

Erica's smile widens as she listens to Sage closely. She keeps nodding her head as Sage talks. "Well I do like the weather, but need to bundle up a lot." She raises her drink up to her lips and takes a quick sip. "So what are you drinking anyhow?" She asks as she takes a look at what is inside Sage's cup. "Yah I heard about that trip to Madhaven. That is going to be pretty interesting I'm sure. I like the wilds quite a bit maybe I could be in your group. Although I don't have any powers like I'm sure the rest of you do." She giggles softly in her little high pitched voice. "What day is it? Your aniversery or something?"

A small smile and a nod comes to the comment about needing to bundle a lot, "There is that." Sage agrees, before taking a sip from her drink. When asked about it, Sage considers her glass of orang-ish red drink. She explains the combination of a orange juice, a little liquor and herbs that went into it. "I usually try to make my drinks a little more healthy." The herbs likely came from the small pouch sitting on the bar counter on the other side of the glass from Erica. She pauses to consider the comments about Madhaven before giving a slight shrug, "I'm not sure that everyone is going has powers... and for all I know, it may be better not to have certain powers there. I'm not sure." She isn't really familiar with Madhaven judging by her tone. She purses her lips before giving a shy smile, "We're planning on getting married." She comments, as her gaze considers the other woman as she waits for a reaction.

Erica nods her head as she pears at that drink of yours. "Yes much healthier then my vodka and soda." She gnaws on her lower lip as she listens to you talk about Madhaven. "I don't think I want to head to Madhaven. To spooky for me I think. At least from what I hear, but I was talking about joining your nature group. I know how to get around in the wilds and I like the wilds. Maybe I could join your group." She takes a quick sip of her drink as she reaches out and pats your hand affectionately. "That is wonderful. Congratulations. What are you doing for the wedding?"

"As long as you enjoy it, that's all that matters." Sage replies, clearly not worried about what the other woman chooses to drink. She chuckles, "I'm not sure I want to go to Madhaven either... but, I have at least a couple people going that I care deeply for, so I don't seem to have much of a choice." She chuckles softly before shaking her head briefly before she pauses to consider the other woman. Her gaze considering the other woman. "That would be a start." She replies softly, "I was hoping to make a polluted lake not far from Kingsdale a pet project and a starting point for the group. We may be able to use a couple more hands... and, I imagine you could help out if something unexpected should happen." She purses her lips, "So, I'm sure I can make a spot for you." She says, giving the other woman a pleased smile before her smile shifts a little as she thinks about the wedding. "Well, I was thinking of having it in the spring... since it was a time for renewal and new beginnings... and Tirzah suggested we have it in the musuem library at high noon on the first day of spring. We're still working out some of the other details, but I think I have an idea of the dresses we could wear." She pauses, "And thank you." She adds softly.

Erica takes another long drink from her mixed drink before setting it down on the bar. She taps her fingers on the bar as she tilts her head to listen to Sage. "Well just be careful out in Madhaven. I wouldn't want any harm to come to you or anyone else who goes out there. So please be careful." She licks her lips quickly, nervously as she thinks about your trip. "Yah I'll do what I can to help with the lake. I can do manual labor as well I guess. I'm not really very useful I guess without any powers, but I'll try not to be completely useless." She lets out a little sigh before talk of the wedding perks her up. "Spring is nice, and I think the library would be a great place to have the wedding." She smiles softly at Sage as she leans in a bit. "Ooo tell me about the dresses. I want to know what your going to both be wearing."

"I'll try." Sage replies, before raising her drink to take a sip as she doesnt want to add any concerns on top of what she can already sense the other woman must feel just thinking about it. She gives a frown when the woman seems to bemoan her lack of powers. She sets her drink aside to place one of her hands on the other woman's shoulder. "You're not useless without powers. While you may be mainly running tasks for us... for all we know, someone may have done this deliberately and won't want us to find out. And, I would say you'd be far more capable in that case than I would be myself." She gives the shoulder a little squeeze, "I'll just have to find something that suits you... and who knows what all we might try to do as a whole." She pulls her hand back as her little pep talk comes to an end and takes up her drink once more. She gives a small smile to the return to the talk of the wedding location. "I still think Tirzah just wants me to make the decorations... since I work in the garden." She says lightly, before considering the other woman. "Well, Tirzah considers me her air and I'm also nature.. so I was thinking a creamy colour dress with little flower patterns on them. Perhaps my movement will make people think of a breeze russling the flowers." She says, "And.. well, Tirzah just needs to wear something that's a shade of fire... since that seems to be part of who she is."

Erica nods her head slowly as she stirs the ice cubes around in her glass. "Very true. I'm not bad at investigating things, and as long as I can help out that is what is important right?" She lifts up her drink and takes a sip of it. She offers Sage a warm smile as she sets her drink down. "Well if you need any help with the decorations I would be more then happy to help out. And I think both of those dresses sound very lovely. I'm sure you will both look stunning and very beautiful."

A gentle nod and a smile comes to the woman's question, "A strength of a group is diversity they say." Sage replies, before letting a faint surprise register on her features. She purses her lips, "Well, if you were to help out... perhaps we could make room for another person to attend." She comments, "If you came, would you prefer just to watch?" She asks, raising a brow slightly before smiling a little more. "I hope so." She says softly, before she takes a moment to listen to the music.

Erica squeaks softly and blushes making her pale skin turn a shade of pink. "I'm sorry I must sound like I am inviting myself. I didn't mean that. I just like to help out when I can. I must sound so very rude, but if you need any help getting ready or making decorations I'll be happy to help. I don't have to do anything in the wedding, but I would love to watch." Her embaressment seems to fade quickly as she takes another sip of her drink.

One thing that Sage seems to enjoy is seeing other people blush as her lips curl into a particular smile that's familiar to those that know her better. "I wouldn't call offering to help rude." She comments, with a slight raised brow. "It would seem only fair that you get some of the benefit of the work... but, there's still time between now and then to figure out what to do." She pauses before she gets a mildly mischievous look. "Unless the decoration is you as the flower girl." She gives a soft chuckle, before she reaches for her own drink once more to sip from.

Erica giggles softly in her little voice as she smiles. "Well I don't mind being a flower girl. I would just have to find myself a dress for it." She gives Sage a quick wink as she finishes off the rest of her drink. She motions to the bartender for another drink before turning back to Sage. "Yah no sense in planning until you get back from Madhaven."

Sage purses her lips as she gets a sparkle of amusement in her eyes as she tries to consider a dress appropriate for Erica as a flower girl. "Yeah." She replies after her pause, "We need to come back sane first..." She sais, with a tone that lies uncertainty between amusement and a concern. She shrugs it off after a moment. "If a song with a reasonable beat comes on... we could try pretending we know how to dance if you want." She considers the little bit left in her glass before draining the rest.

Erica stirs her new drink for a little bit as she offers Sage a look of concern. "Well just try to be safe out there. I don't want you all coming back crazy. That would make it pretty difficult to have a wedding if your all insane." She giggles softly at that before taking a drink. "Yah I would love to dance with you. That would be fun."

"I think a wedding would be the least of our concerns at that point." Sage replies, smiling softly as she shakes her head in amusement. "I hope you can dance... and I'll try not to step on your feet too much." She replies, before hearing a suitable song start to play. She takes a deep breath before sliding off her stool. "Well, I guess that's our song." She says softly, before gesturing towards a nearby table. "You can probably leave your drink there." She'll start to walk towards the dance floor and begin to open her empathic senses to feel the emotions around her. It tends to make it a little easier for her to ease into dancing.

Erica climbs down off her stool and walks over to the table. She sets her drink and purse down before heading to the dance floor. She starts humming softly along with the music as she approaches Sage. Her body starts moving and swaying along to the music as Erica starts dancing. She seems to be pretty light on her feet as she starts dancing with Sage moving to the beat of the music.

As her mind mixes the emotions of others and the music into a unique tune that only Sage can hear. She always seems to be a little hesitant when she starts to dance as if she was subconcious about her movement. She begins to watch what Erica does, before she begins to try mimicking the movement. She's likely a little off the beat of the music.

Erica offers Sage an encouraging smile as she keeps dancing to the up beat song. She rolls her hips as she dances around Sage doing her best to help the other woman dance. Her encouraging smile never fades as both of you dance together. Erica's movements increase in pace as the music picks up. She twirls around in front of Sage and giggles happily as she obviously is enjoying herself.

As the other woman begins to dance around her and helps to minimize the space that she needs to focus on, Sage's movements become a little more natural as she pushes the concern of being with the beat off to the side. Her movements become a subdued version of the other woman's. The encouraging smile helps, even coaxes her into a flare of moment. She ends up bumping into a nearby dancer through no true fault of her own but she just gives a rueful look before chuckling softly at her own embarrassment.

Erica keeps offering Sage that encouraging smile even when Sage bumps into another dancer. Erica giggles with Sage and just keeps moving around to the music. She twirls around again to arrive at your side. She bumps her hip into yours and gives of another giggle. As Sage gets more comfortable with the dancing Erica starts moving with you closer and faster.

With all the movement that the other woman makes, Sage watches to see if she can play off of the other's movement and to make sure she doesn't end up stepping on the other woman's feed. When she realizes the other woman means to bump hips, she plays along as that's one thing that's natural enough to do even with the slight height difference between them. She gives an amused look, before she begins to look like she's concentrating. Yet, Erica seems light enough on her feet that she could avoid the times she misplaces her feet or recover well enough that she tries not to let the moment slip away too much.

Erica doesn't seem to mind at all any of Sage's missteps and Erica just covers them up with her own movement. She keeps smiling encouraging at Sage as Erica plays off of the other woman's movements. Taking Sages hands in her own she dances with the other women energetically and she lifts up one hand to try to give Sage a quick spin.

It is a small relief that short of deliberately tripping the other woman that Erica is able to make up for her short falls, letting Sage breath out slowly in an attempt to sooth herself. It takes her a moment to realize the other woman is beginning to play off of her. She can't help but chuckle a little as her movements are more to the beat in her head than truly to the music. At a losee for what to do with her hands half the time, she lets them be taken by the other woman. She recognizes the intent of the other woman from her dance with Mikjel that she manages a slightly better spin this time.

Erica giggles happily again as she spins Sage away then spins her back. She gives Sage a quick wink as the other woman comes back. The song they were dancing to ends and she gives Sage a quick affectionate hug. "You did great Sage. Your a good dancer. I'm going to have to drag you out to the dance floor more often." She gives Sage another quick wink as she trys to catch her breath. "Lets have a quick drink and then we can do some more dancing."

Being a little pre-occupied that she doesn't end up toppling as she's spun back, Sage is only half-looking at Erica when she settles back into place. When the song ends, Sage lets out a relieved sigh. The quick hug takes her a little bit by surprise, but she reacts to it by reflex. "Yeah, right." She replies, "You're the dancer." Pushing the credit back to the other woman. She gives a short chuckle, "Great." She says with a little sarcastic enthusiasm, but it seems to be in good humour. "One thing at a time, though." She comments with a smile to the last comment, before she turns to walk around from the dance floor. She makes a gestures to the bartender for a drink as she edges towards the table where Erica left her drink and purse.

Erica walks with Sage as they leave the dance floor. She takes a seat at the table, moving her purse from her chair. Picking up her drink she gives it a little stir before taking a drink of the cocktail. When Sage comes to the table she offers the other woman a warm smile. "You did great. All it will take is a little practice."

A small smile comes to her lips as Sage takes a seat at the table and places her drink on the table in front of her. "I know... I was going to learn once but it didn't work out." She gives a small shrug, before taking a sip of her drink. "Tirzah doesn't really dance either... but we can usually put something together that's ... unique." She raises one of her hands to brush her hair back on either side of her face after making that comment.

Erica's lips curve into a soft smile as she nods her head. "Yah well I think you did pretty well. I bet Tirzah is pretty flamboyant on the dance floor." She gives of a little soft giggle before taking another sip from her drink. Reaching into her purse she takes out some pins and start messing with her hair until she has it up in a tight bun. "Well you will both have to learn a bit if your going to dance at your wedding."

A soft chuckle and nod comes to the comment about Tirzah, causing Sage to smile at a thought. "Yeah, she has her ways." She muses, before watching the other put her hair into a bun as she sips from her drink. "Is that your authorative hair style?" She asks with a little teasing, before giving a soft sigh. "I suppose so... although, it should be a small ceremony... so I'm not sure what all we will do."

Erica laughs at the remark about her hair and she shakes her head. "No I just didn't want it to get too messed up if we go dancing again." She says as she gives Sage a quick wink. "Well a small wedding is best I think. As long as you have your friends there. Who will be performing the ceremony?"

"Ah." is Sage's soft response to the comment about dancing. "Any particular type of song we should wait for?" She asks, before she begins to think about the question that's posed to her. "I'm not entirely sure yet... but we'll probably figure out something."

Erica shurgs her shoulders quickly. "Whatever song takes us I think. What kind of songs do you like?" She asks Sage before taking a loot at her watch. She squeaks as she notices the time. "I'm sorry Sage, but I lost track of the time. I'm afraid I'm going to have to go. I'm real sorry. Can I have a raincheck on that dance?"

Sage is about to answer when the other woman gives a squeak noise upon looking at the time. She can't help but smile at the apology. "Its alright." She comments, "And, I suppose we could do that too." She pauses briefly, "Take care of yourself." She adds softly.
