This flat is an airy one, with two double bedrooms, a decent sized kitchen and a reasonable bathroom. The flooring has been replaced with hard wood floor, worn but practical, throughout the whole apartment. The living-room has a lovely view across the city, hidden only when the wooden blinds are closed. The room itself has some small touches, like rugs, cushions and some furnishings. It has a small wooden desk below the window, piled high with papers, all marked with oil and grease stains. Beside it, a well worn leather chair squats and a tower created from books leans against a desk leg. Nearby, an ancient sofa is pushed back against a wall, the cushions suitably squidgy and soft. In front of it, a small coffee table has a small collection of mugs, books and other assorted chaos piled on it, surrounding a large plant that is thriving. In front of a warm, flame heater, a large sheep skin rug lies, looking welcoming and cosy. The kitchen appears to be mostly in order, with a bin that suggests the resident survives on a variety of take outs and yet cooks from scratch, and a sink that has a mixture of mugs and machine parts sitting beside it on the draining board. The most used item in the room is a coffee machine, permanently on the go. At one end, a growing collection of real cooking items contradict the take out boxes, suggesting that either one person with a split personality or two people live here. A small collection of herbs grows out of small pots there, thriving well despite the machine parts near by. Caliopa's bedroom has a double bed in the middle, with a patchwork throw over it. Her clothes are mostly stacked in shelves in the wardrobe, one lone dress amongst jeans, combats, t-shirts and sweaters. One pair of heels amongst the boots and trainers. Sage's bedroom is simple, neat and tidy. In one of the corners, a small replica of a stone garden is placed, the colour of the rocks matching the throw over the bed.

Having stubbornly convinced Cali that she needs time to rest today, Sage hums softly as she prepares Cali's favourite snack. Her ulterior motive for this imposed rest period is that she wanted some time with the other woman without others around to fuss or distract.

Caliopa is not coping that well with resting, sitting on the couch with a piece of broken machine in her lap. Idly hands work badly for the petite mechanic, and she is resting, of a sort. Her fingers play with it lightly, almost casually. "I ain't had noone interested in workin' at the garage. Might have to close shop when we go."

Once the finishing touches are placed on the snack, Sage grabs something to allow Cali to wipe her hands off on. "Well, I could offer to stay behind and man the shop for you... but, we both know how that would work out." She muses softly, "Now, do you want anything to drink while I'm in here?" She asks softly.

Caliopa hesitates before she puts the machine's piece aside, giving Sage a sunny smile at the cloth. "Juice'd be nice. You sure you ain't wantin' a hand?" The offer is given in the manner of Sage offering to man her shop for her, acknowledgement of a lack of skill. "Thinkin' I might see if any folks interested in leasin' it off me. For a year, mebbe." Very casual.

The other's sunny smile brings a smile to her own lips before Sage nods faintly to the mention of juice. "Alright." She replies before pausing to consider the offer. "Well, there are a couple things you could do... but, let me finish up with this first." She comments, before going to fetch the other woman a glass of juice. For herself, she grabs a glass of water and a small pouch with the handle of a small spoon keeping out the top of it. She hands Cali the juice before she sets down her own glass to begin spooning the mixture from the bag into the water and stirring gently. "The garage portion or the offices upstairs too?" She asks softly, glancing up at the other woman.

There is a silent moment as Caliopa wipes the oil off her hands, before she puts the cloth aside. "Reckoned both. Atticus is done with them, 'n' I ain't gonna be able to run the garage like this." She avoids the other woman's gaze, considering her hands thoughtfully. "Thought a year off would get me sorted to a point when it ain't a problem to work." The topic is talked around and Caliopa's face is serious.

"Oh, I guess that might explain why I haven't seen him in a while." Sage comments, "He was nice... if a little too busy like you." She says that last part with a fond teasing. She considers the other woman for a moment, before nodding softly to the comment. "I'm surprised to hear you say that." She replies, "But... perhaps that means you'll be free for... a special occasion that I want you to attend." She reaches out to touch the other woman lightly.

Caliopa's glance up at Sage is brief, her face thoughtful. "Seems he ain't overly comfortable with the way things were ended 'n' all." The brief explanation covers a multitude of sins and brushes over the discomfort she feels, but fails to hide it. "Been thinkin' over all that you 'n' Vixen said, 'n' reckon she ain't wrong. Ain't able to work proper right now 'n' I won't have work leavin' the garage that ain't perfect." She looks up at the touch and the comment, giving Sage a look of almost pure confusion.

"Maybe that's why he didn't seem to be comfortable with me after a little bit." Sage replies with a faint shrug. "Sometimes its hard to keep the past where it belongs." She adds, knowing some of the details of what went on. She isn't quite sure how she could comfort Cali or sooth it away. She considers the other woman as she speaks about the reasoning behind her decision. She nods faintly, giving a brief silence before adding, "Well, if you heeded everything, you wouldn't be going to madhaven either... but, I don't think either myself or Vixen will win on that count." She says softly, before taking a breath to settle herself as she gathers herself to say the next thing. "I've decided to marry Tirzah... and, I'd like you to be there when I do. Whether you give me away, be my maid of honour or just be there... is up to you." She takes another breath and lets it out. She seems to need something for her hands to do as she picks up the glass and takes a sip of the concotion within.

"Sometimes." Caliopa agrees softly, ignoring the Madhaven comments. The announcement brings a bright smile to her lips and she slides from her perch, offering a huge hug to Sage. "That is real wonderful!" The response is positive, the girl's eyes lighting up. "When? I'd love to be the maid of honour but..." Her hand drops down to her stomach, resting lightly there, a question in her eyes. "When're you gonna do it? I ain't waddlin' down the aisle with you."

Setting down her drink, Sage's expression brightens and happiness shines in her eyes at Cali's reaction. She enthusiastically accepts the hug, before a little tear escapes her eyes. "Thank you." She says softly to her friend as she wasn't sure what sort of response she'd receive, beyond acceptance. She wipes the little tear from her cheek and gives a cute little sniffle. She gives a chuckle to the comment about waddling down the aisle. "You're the best." She manages to get out in pleased and amused tone, but it takes her a moment settle herself. "We're thinking of the first day of spring?" She says with a slight questioning tone as she glances towards the tummy as if imagining what it would look like at that point. "It'll be a time of renewal and new beginnings..." She says looking up to Cali with a happy smile, and a hopeful look in her eyes.

Caliopa joins the glance downwards, her smile becoming rueful. "Guess I could sail down your aisle, like some barge." She offers, reaching out to hug Sage. "First day of spring then. Where you gonna do it? You got plans for clothin' 'n' all?" She launches directly into planning, her mind picking the logical parts into a list. "Reckon I can get some type of tent..."

Sage chuckles as the other woman speaks about sailing like a barge, before hugging Cali once more. "The most beautiful barge anyone is likely to see, no doubt." She says softly with fondness, still a little amused at the comment. A relieved breath comes as the other woman agrees to the timing. "Well, Tirzah suggested we try to have it in the musuem garden at high noon. Although, I think she's just trying to get me to do all the decorating." She chuckles softly to that idea, before pausing to nod. "I think so... well, for myself and Tirzah so far... I could wear a creamy colour silk dress with little flower patterns. I'm her air... and I am also nature." She explains the symbolism, "And, Tirzah could wear a dress that resembles a shade of fire.." She pauses as she considers Cali. "And... we'll find something loose and flattering for you." She comments, before looking to see what Cali's reaction will be.

Caliopa nods slowly, her hand rubbing lightly over her stomach, a brief flicker of anxiety showing in her expressive face before she smiles, and nods again. "Reckon we can find somethin'." She speaks firmly, "Mebbe in black, 'cause I'm oil, ..." She offers the words as humour, glancing across at the food. "Ought to have somethin' to celebrate, somethin' with bubbles." Her smile is in place, but her eyes are thoughtful, and her hand moves lightly over the very slight bump.

Sage purses her lips as the mention of black and oil, giving a mock suspicious look for a moment. "If you're suggesting you want to slip out of this..." She comments, with a playful warning. Then she pauses to consider her friend, "Maybe we'll need a brightly coloured scarf or something to distract the eye..." She shakes the thought off as the mention of celebrating comes up. "Then, that'll be your job to find something bubbly... and a similar coloured one that you can drink too." She grins, before hugging Cali this time. "And, if you can clean that pistol of mine, I'd appreciate it... I think I really messed it up this time." She quietly admits, before giggling at the mention of that give their previous topic.

"Ain't nothin' that will distract from this, Sage, but it ain't a problem." Caliopa speaks firmly, honestly, "You give me that pistol, 'n' I'll get Alistair to fetch me some type of drink that looks real bubbly 'n' ..." She returns the hug, giving Sage a serious look. "Uh, there was somethin' I had to give you, 'n' all. Ain't really the tie but seems likely I ought to have done it before we go, so you got it." She hands Sage a piece of paper, all formal and legally stating that if something happens to Caliopa, the garage first goes to Alistair, and if he isn't there, to Sage and Vixen, shared equally.

"Is that a challenge?" Sage asks mischievously at the comment, as a devious smile takes her lips. Her eyes seeming too amused as ideas likely pass through her mind. She pushes it off to the side when the woman replies to her other suggestion. "Okay." She says, deciding its good enough and gives the other woman a squeeze. A faint look of concern enters her features as she takes the piece of paper, unsure of whether she wants to open it at first. She slowly opens it and takes a moment to look over the paperwork. Her expression is a mix of emotions and she doesn't say a word when she looks to Cali for a long moment. She reaches out to touch her friend's cheek. "You'll always be my sister." She says softly, before turning away before her emotions well up at the implication of the letter. "I'll get the gun." She says quietly as she walks off to her room with the paper in tow.

Caliopa nods slowly, giving Sage a smile that is both sad and soft at the same time. "Reckon ought to eat soon 'n' all." She changes the subject as she moves to reach for her tools, the few she keeps at him. "I'll get that cleaned right after you done feedin' me." Aiming at humour, she looks after Sage, giving her a rather watery smile.

It takes a moment or two longer for Sage to return than it should have and when she does her eyes are a little puffy. But, there's a mischievous smile that seems out of place as she carries the gun over to her friend. "Oh, I think I may let you feed yourself... and escape while I can." She comments, as she places the weapon near Cali. She'll find out soon enough that she's deliberately mucked up the gun as much as she could without actually breaking anything. It should keep her roommate busy for some time.
