Softcode Commands
Beep
Syntax: +BEEP <PLAYER>
This command will send a quick message as well as a TONE to PLAYER. The tone command does not work for all clients, but if the PLAYER has sounds turned on for their client they will get a single TONE when this command is run. This is a useful way to get the attention of someone that plays in multiple worlds at one time and might be idle presently.
BG
Syntax1: +BG
Syntax2: +BG<#>
This will display what you currently have set in the attribute BG. If you use a # then it will display what you have set in the attribute BG#. You will need to create your Background and store it on yourself in the BG# slots. If you number consecutively it will be easier for the staff to check your background and let you know how it looks.
Cast
Syntax: +cast <SPELL>[=<PLAYER LIST>] This command allows you to cast a spell, automatically spends the appropriate PPE, and determines the casting time. The input for <spell> only needs to be enough to represent a unique spell you know (i.e. '+cast energy' would not work for Energy Bolt if you also had Energy Field, but '+cast Energy B' would). A message is sent to all players in the room, by default, unless <player list> is specified.
Expend
Syntax: +EXPEND <POINT POOL>=<NUMBER> This command will allow you to make changes to your HP, SDC, etc. This enables players to keep track of their own levels during combat. Valid pools to use are HP, SDC, MDC, PPE, ISP, and Armor.
Find
Syntax: +FIND <NAME>
This will tell you the currently location of NAME. If the person is set UNFINDABLE this will not tell you their location.
Finger
Syntax: +FINGER <PLAYER>
The finger command provides some OOC information about the player. This info can be used for OOC purposes only.
Players can set the following attributes on themselves to display info here:
Setting WWW: &WWW me=<Text Info>
Setting Email: &email me=<Text Info>
Alert: &afinger me=think %ch *** [name(%0)] ***%cn just checked your info!
Giving
Syntax: +EGIVE <PLAYER>=<ITEM # FROM SHEET>
This command allows you to give one of your items off your equipment sheet to another player. The staff does not need to be present if using this command as it is all automated. Please use this wisely as you can't take back the item. The other person must use the EGIVE command to give back the item.
Syntax: +MGIVE <PLAYER>=<AMOUNT OF CREDITS>
This command allows you to give credits to another player. One of the staff does not need to be present if using this command as its all automated. Please use this wisely as you cant take back the money. The other person must use the MGIVE command to give back the money.
Syntax: +WGIVE <PLAYER>=<WEAPON # FROM SHEET>
This command allows you to give one of your weapons off your weapon sheet to another player. The staff does not need to be present if using this command as its all automated. Please use this wisely as you cant take back the weapon. The other person must use the WGIVE command to give back the weapon.
Hooks
Syntax: +HOOKS <PLAYER>
This command allows one to see what 'plot hooks' and RP ideas that someone has set on their character. Generally, this information is combined with WYSKA to give some approachable ideas.
Setting: &hooks me=<Text Info>
Alert: &ahooks me=think %ch *** [name(%0)] ***%cn just checked your Hooks!
IC/OOC
Syntax: +IC or +OOC
This code allows you to jump in and out of the IC grid. Most of the OOC grid is the character generation areas, but the general meeting room is there as well.
Knock
Syntax: +KNOCK <EXIT>
This allows you to knock on a door so that the people on the other side hear a knock on the door.
Laston
Syntax: +LASTON <PLAYER>
This command will display connection details of the PLAYER. It tells if they are currently online or not, how long since they last connected, and when they last connected.
MultiDesc
How to use the MUSH Multidescer:
+desc/setup Sets you up to use the multidescer
+desc/list Shows you all currently available descriptions
+desc/view name Shows you the description
+desc/add name=desc Adds a description named 'name', with desc of 'desc'
+desc/delete name Deletes the named description
+desc/save desc Saves the current desc with a name of 'desc'
+desc/edit name=old/new Changes the description named 'name' so that 'old' text becomes 'new' text.
+desc name Changes the current description to 'desc'
+desc/emit name=emit Sets the message to emit when you switch to 'name'
+desc/name desc=name Sets the character name to use when you switch to 'desc'. Note that if 'name' is 'clear', the name will be your rootname until you reset it. See the next command for information on your rootname.
+desc/rootname name Sets your default name. This is the name which is used when you don't explicitly state a name.
+desc/attrib name:attr=value Set an attribute for use with a description. Note that this can be any legal attribute, including attributes for use in +finger, @oxtport, etc.
OOC
Syntax: OOC <pose>
This will take your pose and treat it as if you were using SAY, the difference is that it will make everyone in the room away that whatever the pose or comment you are making is OOC and not to be used in an IC manner.
Pay
Syntax: +PAY/CHECK <YOUR NAME/ALIAS>
This will show you how much money you are currently being paid by your job.
PSI
Syntax: +psi <power>[=<player list>] This command allows you to activate a psionic power and automatically spends the appropriate ISP. The input for <power> only needs to be enough to represent a unique power you know (i.e. '+psi mind' would not work for Mind Bolt if you also had Mind Block, but '+psi mind bo' would). A message is sent to all players in the room, by default, unless <player list> is specified.

Rolling
There are several commands used for dice rolling on this game. NOTE: PRoll and Total rolling are not currently functional.
Syntax: +ROLL <X>d<Y>
This will roll X dice with Y sides on each. It will send an emit to your current location for all to see.
Syntax: +PROLL <X>d<Y>=<PLAYER>
This will roll X dice with Y sides on each. It will send the emit to yourself as well as PLAYER.
Syntax: +ROLL/TOTAL <X>d<Y>
This is similar to +ROLL above, only it will total all the dice and give you the number as well as each roll by itself.
Syntax: +PROLL/TOTAL <X>d<Y>=<PLAYER>
This is a combination of +ROLL/TOTAL & +PROLL. It will produce a total for the roll and send the emit to yourself and PLAYER.
NOTE: You can only roll up to 10 dice, and only dice with sides numbering: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, or 100.
Syntax: +roll/skill <skill>[<+/-modifier>][=<player list>] This command rolls the specified skill (with optional modifier). The input for <skill> need only be enough to uniquely identify a valid skill known by the PC, and the results of success or failure will be sent to the room unless the optional <player list> is used.
Scan
Syntax: +SCAN
This command will display a short listing of the current players in the room. It will display the names, sex/race (as listed by the character) as well as a short description of them. The description must be set by a player in the D.SHORTDESC attribute. (i.e. &D.SHORTDESC me=<blah blah blah>). The description will be trimmed at 150 characters so if it's longer you lose it.
Selfboot
Syntax: +SELFBOOT
This command will remove multiple instances of yourself. If you get disconnected from the game and have to reconnect it can sometimes leave ghosts of yourself. To remove all instances of yourself other then the current one use this command.
Sheet
Syntax: +SHEET
This shows the basic information about your character. Name, Attributes, Sex, HP, SDC, PPE, ISP, etc.
Syntax: +SHEET/<SUBSHEET>
This will list the details of the subsheets as follows:
B - Lists your bonuses
E - Lists your equipment
G - Lists your gems
M - Lists your spells
N - Lists notes and cash on hand
P - Lists PSI powers
S - Lists skills
T - Lists your TATTOOS
W - Lists weapons
Shooks
Syntax: +SHOOKS <PLAYER>
This command allows staff to see what 'plot hooks' and RP ideas that someone has set on their character. Generally, this information is combined with WYSKA to give some approachable ideas.
Players can set their info in the &shooks attribute. They can also have &shooks for the actions to be performed when someone checks their info.
Shout
Syntax1: +SHOUT <EXIT>=<MESSAGE>
This command will shout your MESSAGE through EXIT. It will be heard on the other side of the doorway.
Syntax2: +SHOUT ALL=<MESSAGE>
This command is used when you wish everyone in the area to hear you. You just lift you hear into the air and let out a shout.
NOTE: You must use enough of the name to make sure its unique with the first version of the command.
Staff
Syntax: +STAFF
This will display a list of the currently online staff members. It provides a little detail as to how long they have been idle or what their roles are.
Syntax2: +STAFF/ALL
This will display a complete list of the staff. It provides a little detail as to when they were last connected, and what their roles are for the game.
Staffcall
Syntax: +STAFFCALL
This command will send a message to all staff that are currently ONLINE. It will let them know that you need some assistance. You will also be notified of how many staff got your call. If this is abused the staff may start to ignore your requests.
Think
Syntax: +THINK <statement>
This will send an emit to the room and is used for RP purposes. It would allow you to voice a thought your character is having that would not otherwise be known to the players.
Time
Syntax: +TIME
This will display the current date/time in GAME time. Currently game time is set for 2 game hours to 1 real-life hour.
Vote
The voting system has several commands to use in the process of voting for the people you feel RP the best.
Syntax: +VOTE/SETUP This command should be used once you have been approved to go IC. It will add you into the voting system and allow you to start casting votes on a weekly basis.
Syntax: +VOTE <PLAYER> This allows you to cast a vote for PLAYER. Currently votes are tallied on Monday morning at 5am game time. Your votes will be reset at that time as well as EXP for votes you received will be added to your SHEET.
Syntax: +VOTE/DISPLAY This command shows you who you have voted for this week, as well as how many votes have been cast for you this week. All info on this display is reset when votes are tallied and the new week begins.
Watch
There are several commands available with the +WATCH system on this game.
Syntax: +WATCH/ON This command will turn the +WATCH system on. You will start getting notices.
Syntax: +WATCH/OFF This command will turn the +WATCH system off.
Syntax: +WATCH/LIST This command will tell you the current status of the system, as well as the status of anyone that you are watching for.
Syntax: +WATCH/SET <PLAYER> This command will add PLAYER to your +WATCH notifications.
Syntax: +WATCH/UNSET <PLAYER> This command will remove PLAYER from your +WATCH notifications.
NOTE: Staff will not trigger +WATCH notifications, and if they are DARK they will not show up on a +WATCH/LIST
Where
Syntax: +WHERE
This command will display the names of all currently connected players as well as the area of the grid they currently occupy, and the name of the room they are in. If the player is set UNFINDABLE you will not be told anything other then the name.
Who
Syntax: +WHO
This command will display the following details for all currently connected players: Name, Sex, Status (IC/OOC), Area (North America, Kingsdale, OOC, Staff), Visible Race, Time connected, & Time idle.
WYSKA
Syntax: +WYSKA <PLAYER>
This command allows one to see 'What You Should Already Know' about a character. This information can be learned via IC means and rumors on the streets.
Setting: &wyska me=<Text Info>
Alert: &awyska me=think %ch *** [name(%0)] ***%cn just checked your WYSKA!
