-10 to Dodge

We do not use the -10 to dodge Missile weapons (arrows, bullets, etc.) or energy blasts, except when fired from ten feet or closer.

This particular rule was not introduced into the Rifts game until the later printing of the Rifts Main book. This is because the rule was included in Heroes Unlimited 2nd Edition and Palladium decided to add it to Rifts as well. The new rule was put down because how it would effect the game balance and how it made Weapon Proficiencies almost obsolete, thus this game omits this rule and will never in the future use it.

Auto-Dodge

The following are the bonuses to be added to the auto-dodge. Any due to high P.P. and any bonuses through Hand To Hand combat training that specifically state auto-dodge. Dodge bonuses from other physical skills are not applicable unless specifically stated for auto-dodges.

Dodging Missiles

See Mini-Missiles, but single missiles, pairs or triples can be dodged. Volleys of 4 or more missiles can not be dodged. These apply to missiles of any type.

Magazine Change

Normally, a Magazine change takes a full melee action.

If a player has taken the time to attach two magazines together, they can change one E-Clip to another E-Clip. By doing this, it is possible to change magazine and fire a shot in the same action. This shot is fired without any bonuses.

Melee Damage Bonus

If when attacking the attacker is using a MD Melee weapon to inflict MD damage, and the attacker has the capacity to inflict MD with a Normal/Full Strength Punch, then they will add the Normal/Full Strength Punch damage to the base MD Melee Weapon damage. Additional damage does not apply to a power-punch type attack.

If the attacker is using an SDC Melee weapon the attacker, may use the SDC Bonus based on their PS Damage bonus based on the chart on page 281 of RUE.

This applies to Augmented, Robotic, or Supernatural Strength.

Please see p286 RUE, for the use of Optional Rule where you can damage the Melee Weapon through inflicting more damage with the weapon than it can structurally handle. We will be using this rule.
