From Chronicles
The current game time is: Thu Apr 23 18:32:39 105 PA.
Lucy is seated at the circular bar, about halfway around, between the dance floor and the door. She's wearing an unusual coat today; not her normal trench coat, but rather one that ends just below her skirt and shows off her fabulous legs to excellent effect. People who know her might find it odd that she is obviously without calf, hip, or thigh holsters, or even a Vibro-Knife in her unusually feminine shoes. In fact, the shoes themselves are out of the ordinary - low-topped stilettos that give her at least an extra three inches in height. Before her is a half empty martini glass, and she's wathching the dance floor.
Well, not really being too comfortable in anything that has to do with the Happy days Inn, Renos walks into the club. Hearing that Lucy will be here, he then starts to look around. He's half wondering if she is working tonight, or not. But decides that if she is with someone, that he can simply melt into the crowd and head back. No need to bother her. He starts to make his way through the crowd. He almost missed her, except for the bun in her hair. He blinks at her coat, then makes his way up to her.
Spotting Renos coming into the room - since spotting people is part of the business, and all - Lucy lights up and begins to wave, in full semi-circles, her arm out from shoulder to fingertip. She mouths, "Robert!" knowing that she wouldn't be heard about the noise made by the DJ. As soon as he spots her, she reaches back and removes three carefully place hairpins, releasing a tidal wave of bright blonde hair that waterfalls its way down her back and nearly onto the barstool itself.
Renos blinks a little as he moves up to her. "Wow...letting your hair down?" He then moves to lean up against her and then hugs her tightly with a smile. He then puts his arms around her waist and then looks back at the club. "Well, what brings you here? And whats with the dress and coat, hon?" He then rubs her back a bit lightly.
Lucy looks back at Renos with fake-surprise and innocence. "What, you don't like it? Because I could go home and change," she states easily, conspicuously over-fluttering her eyelashes. Renos smiles at that and then moves to touch her hair lightly, stroking it easily. "Oh, I didn't say that I didn't like it. I am just wondering if you are actually packing any weapons." He then teases. "might have to do a through search of you." He teases lightly. "Can I get you a drink?"
Lucy smiles a big, bright smile at Renos' innuendo. "Perhaps we will, oh mister Renos," she woman winks at him. Then, "Sure a drink would be lovely. How about a Cosmopolitan for me and something for you, too. After all, neither one of us is driving, are we?" Lucy gives Renos big hug and leans down a tad to kiss him on the cheek. "It's so good to see you, Robert. How was your day?"
Renos blushes a little at the kiss on the cheek and then nods softly, then starts his way back towards the bar. After grabbing the two drinks, he then comes back and then leans against her while he hands her her drink. "Oh, well, its been a bit nervous. Keep expecting Kat to jump out anywhere and the fight to start. I hate this waiting." He mutters a little.
Lucy runs a manicured nail down his cheek and out to the front of his jaw. She then puts a kiss on the end of her two fingers, and touches them to Renos' lips. She then whispers into Renos' ear, "I wore this for you. I was hoping to run into you tonight." She unties her short coat and takes it off, revealing only a black miniskirt and a silk top held only by fabric running up and around her neck, leaving very little to the imagination. She's not even wearing shoulder holsters! Why, she's totally, oh, no, wait, the .45 is still tucked into the front of her skirt. Okay, so she's /mostly/ unarmed.
Renos then smiles widely at the skirt and the silk top and his eyes go a bit wide, and he whistles in appreciation. He then eyes the .45 and chuckles softly, then offers her his hand with a bit of a smile. "You look absolutely gorgeous, Lucy. Really lovely." He then lets his eyes roam all over the lovely young woman, then back up to her eyes. "Care to dance?"
Taking a sip of her Cosmopolitan, she smiles and says, "Sure, I'd love to dance, Robert! I didn't think that you were really the dancing type, though. But I certainly would love it." She hops down off of her stool, says, "Put it on my tab," to the bartender, and leads Renos, hips swaying, toward and onto the dance floor, where she turns around and pulls Renos onto the floor with both hands, pursing her lips in the process.
Renos then watches her with a chuckle. "Are you kidding? getting a chance to be really close to you and that hot body is well worth it." He then pulls her really close and begins to dance with her. He lets her lead, of course, since he has before, but his eyes keep on hers when he can.
Laughing, Lucy begins to swirl and twirl in front of him, easily keeping track with the other people on the floor, even in the stilettos, which seems impossible. She leads Renos across the floor until they're right in the middle of the floor. She presses the back of her body against his and swirles downward and back up again, holding his face in her hands the whole time. Once in the middle of the dance floor, she is dancing with her back to him, and her hands on his face. His hands are on her hips, and making sure of two things. The first thing is that he keeps very close to her, almost pressing up against her. The second being that he not step on her feet or to make her trip. Not something that comes as easily to the man, but he certainly tries. And he has a big smile on his face.
Lucy keeps giggling as she goes through various improvised motions through actual dance "moves," showing off a range of ability that someone might not have expected of her. She spins around once, so close, that their noses are practically touching, and with a laugh, she squeaks a quick kiss onto his right cheek. "C'mon, Robert, you have to move! Feel the beat! You can't help but feel it, can you?" Indeed, with the pulsing techno, it would be hard not to.
Renos laughs softly at that. "Well, I would, but I am afraid I would...um...reveal something." He says with a bit of a smile, and then shrugs a little, not seeming to care anymore, or rather, giving up caring to have a bit more fun. His body begins to move a bit more with hers, still looking her in the eyes, and dancing very close to her.
"Oh, Robert, I love being with you," Lucy "whispers" in Renos' ear. It's hard to actually whisper in a clatter of noise like this, but she does her best. She places her arms around Renos' neck and begins to slow-dance in the middle of all that motion, pressing her hips to his, swaying them both from side to side.
Renos smiles and then reaches up to lightly touch her face. "I can tell that you do. Or that you are faking it well." He teases, enjoying the close contact with her body, moving up against her as well. "Anything of interest happen?" he asks leaning in a bit closer.
"Of interest? You mean at work today? No, nothing unusual. I'm thinking of putting in for work at Sally Ann's but I'm not quite sure that I'm comfortable with all of the oversight. It's nice to be your own boss, you know?" Lucy smiles into his eyes, her dark emeralds quietly twinkling beneath long lashes.
Renos chuckles softly and then moves to dip her lightly in time with the music. "Really? There is something to be said of being your own boss. And yet, I didn't quite mean work. I meant more, meet any interesting people? Have any sort of converations, that sort of thing."
"Oh, and Robert, in answer to a previous question, I /am/ good at faking things," Lucy laughs loudly and turns her back to him again, hips swaying seductively, her feet held close together. "Any interesting people? Oh, you meet all kinds, you know," she calls over her back to him. "It's not like I have lengthy philosophical conversations with them, though, so I have to nix the whole interesting conversations thing, too. Why do you think I come to places like this? To see /something/ interesting!" She throws back her head and lets out a bell-ringing laugh once again, then comments, "If Kat doesn't like you, I have someone who apparently doesn't like me. Aimee? You know her?"
Renos just shakes his head at that. "Nope, doesn't ring a bell." He then laughs along with her and then moves to the music with her. When the song ends, he then smiles and takes Lucy's hand, and begins to head back to the table. "Why doesn't this Aimee like you?" He then smiles and leans in. "Oh, I know you are good at faking things, dear." He gives her a light kiss on the cheek.
Lucy starts like electricity had just run through her body at the unexpected kiss, but recovers quickly and smiles, following Renos off the floor and back to an unoccupied table. "Well," she says, "I kind of came on to her man a day or two after I got here, and I guess she didn't really appreciate that, so I guess that's where the whole 'I don't like you' thing comes from. But she's not with the guy anymore, seems to have picked up her tent and moved on. I dunno." Lucy shrugs elaborately, which emphasizes just how small the fabric is holding her front together.
Renos smiles and then moves back to the bar and helps her up on the stool. "Ah, I see. Kat wasn't amused that you came on to me either." He then sighs a little. "Even after I told her that you weren't the first, and wouldn't be the last. But then, she liked someone else more, so she has no right to be hypocritical." He then smiles nd gets his drink once more, and sips it lightly.
"Oh yeah, I forgot my drink! Be right back!" Lucy giggles and runs to the bar - well, running in high heels, at least - and fetches her Cosmopolitan, hurrying back to the table. She grabs the chair nearest to Renos and scoots around so that they're touching. In a motion that somehow manages to emphasize her bosom, she puts her arm over his shoulders and lays her head down on it. "So, Robert, why did you stay with Kat if her only desire was to procreate?" It's an odd word for someone to expect out of someone in her line of business, but she manages to get it out, anyway.
Lucy quirks up her face at the statement and raises her head again. "So if you /sort/of wanted those things, too, why didn't you go after them. If you loved her, and all?" comes a question. "You loved her but weren't willing to be with her? I don't understand."
Renos frowns, but not to her, but more to the question. "I want someone who wants me. I want a family with someone who wants me. And not someone who wants someone else, but is just /settling/ on me. Don't you get it?" He then snorts a little. "Its like saying. 'i really want that power armor, but I will settle for the gun.' It means that I am not good enough."
"Oh," Lucy says, kissing Renos on the cheek again. "Didn't realize that she actually wanted someone else. She's silly to let you go. Someone might swoop in and pick you up for all her own," the woman chuckles, pulling his shoulders together tightly. Surprisingly tightly, in fact. But everyone knows that she can fight, right? Maybe she just works out a bit. "Should I be 'settling' for you, Robert? Is there something that I should know about you? Unstable? Unmarryable - not that I'm implying anything. Poor lover?" The last elicits another gigle and she snuggles her head into the spot between his shoulder and neck.
Renos gacks a little at her hugging him tightly. He then pauses for a moment. "I don't know. I don't think so." He says, a bit seriously. "I don't think that I am unstable, or unmarryable. I think I would offer a lot to some young lady. And I a very good lover...I think." He then frowns a little, thinking about it. "I think she just wanted someone else. And I won't put up with that."
Lucy looks up from her position on his shoulder and says, "You shouldn't have to put up with that, Robert. You deserve someone who likes you for being you. If she was just 'settling' it would have been a miserable relationship - and perhaps it was, it's no business of mine. "Have you noticed that there seem to be far more men than women in this city? It's great feeding grounds." Lucy gives him a feral grin.
Renos nods softly at that. "Not to mention its a big insult. I have women hitting on me, quite a bit. I turned them down. I wasn't 'settling'. Here's the big rub. She wanted total devotion from me. I was to be only for her, giving her mu full attention, make her number one. And she can't do the same for me?" He then chuckles softly. "Oh, I am sure you get your fair share of women too."
"What?" Lucy exclaims. "Just how do you mean that, Renos?" she says, dropping from the familiar.
Renos looks at her for a moment, a bit confused. "It seems as though there are a number of women who like other women. I would assume that, like men, they pay for sex too. Do they not? Maybe not out in the open, or as brazenly, but surely..."
Lucy looks down at the floor. "Yes, I get my fair share of women, too," she says quietly. "I was hoping that you wouldn't think of that, is all." She pauses as if she's going to say something, opens her mouth, and then closes it, putting her head back on Renos' shoulder. "So," she says, deflecting the conversation sideways, "Was work interesting for you today? Blow anything up?" There's a hint of laughter in the last question.
Renos just shakes his head a little. "Sadly, no. I haven't had any business for a while now." He then runs his fingers along her back. "Why? Its a job, Lucy. You do it to earn a living. Do you want to be with any of those women? Do you want to be with any of those men? You do it to survive. Can't fault you for that."
Lucy puts her other hand on Renos' chest and says, "That's sweet of you to say, Robert. Why has business been down so much lately? Techno-wizards just not in demand these days? Too many for the market? I can't imagine that, since you're the only one who I know of."
Renos nods softly at that, and then runs his fingers along Lucy's hair and back. "Becuase no one has any money, I am guessing. Most items are really expensive. Only really adventurers can afford them. And there hasn't been all that many adventures."
"Oh? What constitutes a real adventurer, Robert? And hasn't there been some kind of robot thing going on?" Lucy looks up into Renos' eyes. "But I guess talking about work can be boring, can it not? Certainly there are other things that we can talk about?" Lucy turns her head and sucks on Renos' earlobe, gently biting at it.
Renos shivers at her little playing, especialyl out in the open. "Oh, no! Its not boring at all. I like what I do, really." He then holds her a bit closer, and smiles a bit more. "Adventurers are those wanders who go from town to town, and want to purchase or have things made, so they can use them later. As for the robot thing? Don't know, I think I might be out of it."
Lucy squeals a little squeal delighting in Renos' apparent uncomfortableness. "Can you build regular things, Robert, or just techno-wizard things? Not that I mean that in the negative way that it sounds, just.. curiously," the woman says. "Your job sounds so much more interesting than mine."
Renos shrugs a little at that. "Well, its not really 'building', either way." He then laughs at her squeal. "you like to make me squirm, don't you?" He then nods softly. "I can take things, and make different things. I suppose I could do tech items, as well as TW items."
"Really?" Lucy says, as if looking in awe at the man - though it's not quite sure which statement or question she's referring to. It could be the squirm part, or equally possibly, the tech stuff. She simply comments, "I wish that I knew more about how to make tech stuff. I mean, I can repair most of my stuff, but I could never build one." Her eyes light up at the thought, and she bounces upright, asking, "Do you think that you could build a gun for me?" Renos frowns a little at that. "Perhaps. What sort of gun?" he looks a bit blankly at her, not sure what kind she is asking for. "Might take a while, with some help needed. Depending on what you wanted." He then watches look at him with that big round eyed expression and smiles, simply.
"I want a rifle that folds in half, so that I can hide it under my coat," Lucy says simply. She doesn't explain why she wants such a weapon, or acknowledge that it's illegal to carry one in Kingsdale, just makes the statement of desire. She lays her head back down on the man's shoulder and lets out a long, contented sigh. Renos hrms a little at that, and then reaches up to gently kiss her forehead and the top of her head. "I think I might be able to do something like that, depending on the rifle. What kind are you wanting converted?" He doesn't seem to notice, or care, that it might be against the law.
"An energy rifle. Or do you mean what brand?" Lucy asks.
Renos chuckles softly at that. "I figured that, hon." He says in a lower voice. "I mean what kind, and whicn one, in specifically. Has it been modified before?" He then pets her hair lightly. "If you wanted a regular gun, you'd would have used a sawed-off shotgun."
"Oh, okay," Lucy says sheepishly. "An L-20 Pulse Rifle. They're pretty common, aren't they? I thought about a sawed-off shotgun, but it seemed to be far too random for what I'd be using it for. Especially since I don't exactly know how to use one in the first place - although I suspect I could learn pretty quickly," the woman says with a smile.
Renos smiles a little to her and then chuckles. "I hope you don't mean mine, hon. I am a bit fond of mine." He then nods softly. "I can start working on a way to have it fold up. Though, I can only guess as to why you would want one." He then gives a bit of a wink to her. "Well, I can teach that to you too."
Lucy shakes her head. "One of us is not understanding the other. I don't want to use a shotgun, because it's too random. I'm very happy to use the L-20, which I am quite versed in. Or if maybe you could just make my pistols invisible, that would be good too, but that probably costs more." She raises her head again to look in to Renos eyes and says with a grin, "I have no idea how I'd be paying your of course," as she whips her hair from side to side. Renos smiles a little at that, and then shrugs a little. "Just cover the parts, I will donate the work. And yes, I know, the L-20. I have a converted L-20 pulse rifle. It runs on magic energy." He then strokes her back gently. "So, I know what one is like. I just have to figure out how to do it."
"Oh, honey, I don't think that I could cover the parts. Although a swivel might be easy, I don't know. I could turn over by entire bank account right now and still likely not have enough. I make a lot of money relative to others in my field, but it's not exactly a cash cow," Lucy says. "Someday I want to go more legitimate, but at the moment, what I've got is the best that I can do."
Renos chuckles gently at that. "And how much do you think its going to cost, hon?" He then strokes her back some more. "This is not going to cost all that much. Maybe a thousand or so. Maybe more, maybe less. I don't have to add gems to the gun. So I don't have to worry about gem cost."
"Really? That cheap? That would be wonderful, I could pay for that!" Lucy says excitedly. "I must admit, I feel quite naked without my guns - and I somewhat suspect that you'd like to see me that way, too, you cad," she jokes, gently elbowing the man in the ribs. Then she sighs, "I have a pretty good idea of what men want. It's a gift," she laughs. "Most men pretty much want the same thing, though. It's sad. For them, I suppose. They should broaden their horizons." Her mouth downturns slightly.
Renos then shakes his head. "Sure, we want that." He says softly, still holding her. "Becuase we can't help it. Its like a juicer who can't stay still. Becuase of our natural drugs, our natural chemicals, we get hormones pumping through our body, and we want it. I can't help that. But its not what I want from you. Well, not only. I want you to be happy. I want to be happy. I want to be wanted. And I want to be able to work on my designs. My dreams. I want to sculpt life from metal and wire."
"Oooooh, how poetic," Lucy purrs, rubbing her hand in circles on the man's chest. "Life from metal and wire. Do you think that such a thing will ever exist? A truly sentient automaton?" The woman keeps popping out 20-credit words today. Odd, huh? "That's fascinating though. Life from wires. Do you think that you'd need your gems to do it, or would it just come alive by itself?"
Renos just shakes his head. "Not true life, l...hon." He then looks down at her hand and smiles gently. "I meant I want to bring my dreams to life. Bring my creations into reality. But not life. Technically, robots are as close to alive as you can get going through pure tech. It might be possible, but I don't want to give birth to it. I want to design a power armor for mages to use."
Lucy shakes her head. "Power armor. I'm not sure if I could ever get myself to wear one of those things. I like to be able to feel the breeze on your face, smell the smells of cordite and plasma residue. I think it makes you a more efficient fighter, to be able to feel your environment, you know?" She pauses and asks, "Or would your magic power armor give those senses to you, as well?"
Renos chuckles softly at that. "Sadly, no. There isn't really a spell..." He then frowns to himself. "I supose there COULD be a spell. I wonder if anyone's invented one yet." He then runs his jaw lightly, pondering, thinking. "Its not for me, well...not too much. I would design the fastest Tk flyer I possibly could for myself. But there are a number of mages, all across the land. Imagine if I sold the design to one of them? And got lots of money for it?"
"Mmmm, lots of money," Lucy purrs again. "I'd like to have lots of money. So many credits that I could /bathe/ in them!" Lucy exclaims. "Wouldn't you like to have lots of money, Robert? Maybe get a spot over at Covenrty Place? Or even a house outside of town! Oh, wouldn't that be wonderful?" She squeezes Renos tightly again, with both arms around him this time. A very hard squeeze.
Renos gacks a little at the hard squeeze and then smiles a little. "That would be ideal. Though I would like one more in the city. The golden carafe is some place I wouldn't mind living permanently, but I would like it much bigger. That sort of style with a house or a mansion inside the walls. And all the spells in my head."
"I don't know what it's like to walk around with spell knowledge in your head.. a handful of psionic energy -" she finally owns up to "- sure, but not dozens of spells. I don't know how you do it." Lucy stops for a moment before snuggling down again. "Do you just carry it around, naturally, like.. psionics.. or do you really have to learn them, like books? I'm not so much into books, you know."
Renos chuckles softly at that, and then leans in a little. "hon, I have psionics too." He whispers a little. "Magic is like, drawing the outside energy of the world, into your body. and holding it. Like holding it when you have to use the bathroom, but its not unpleasant. Its nice. Then taking that energy you have stored, and forcing it through your mind, into an effect."
"Then how come some people are so much more powerful than others? Aren't you all pulling it in from the same source? Or is it just like with us norms? Some people have the skills, and some will just never have them?" Lucy asks, sounding genuinely intrigued. Renos frowns a little at that. "Like bowls made by the same person, each one holds a tiny different amount. Supernatural creatures are often born with more, but depend on it more. Its a matter of traning for us humans. Walkers tend to have more, on average. While mystics don't."
Lucy looks up into Renos' eyes and says, "I have to admit, you wizards kind of scare me a little," she states with a sheepish grin. "All that power and no one ever knows if you have it or not. Just like those damn psychics and D-Bees. You never know what you're getting into. She frowns a little at the thought.
Renos smiles a little at that. "Non-sense. You just have to learn it. Magic has its own rules, and its own...laws. Just as science does. As psionics do, and debees." He then strokes her back lightly. "You are also psychic, hon. You need to remove the doubt that you cannot know them."
Lucy holds her thumb and forefinger out in front of Renos' face and almost brings them together. "A /little/ psychic, sweetheart. Just a little psychic. But are you saying that /I/ could learn magic? I have never heard of that before." Lucy, for no reason at all, pokes Renos in the side with a finger and tickles him.
Renos laughs softly at the tickling and then squirms. "Sure, anyone who believes they can, and wishes to, can learn magic. Its not like its...restricted to some of the humans, and not to others. Its just that most people believe, deep down, that they can't, or they would have by now. They believe that it should be natural as breathing. Not even psionics is like that."
"So are you saying that because I don't believe deep down that I couldn't be a wizard I could never be one? I mean, I'm okay with that. I just never learned the rules, per se." She returns to nibbling on the man's earlobe, their drinks sitting forgotten and alone on the table. "Why did you believe that you could, Robert? What made you beleive?" Lucy whispers.
Renos chuckles a little at that. "Because, fundamentally, I believed deep down that I was different. I was too curious. I was sticking my nose in where it didn't belong. I didn't follow the ways of the village, or even my own family. When I found out about magic, when I was rather young, I knew I could. Given time, and work. Some believe they can, and work at it, and get discouraged. And I grew up in a palce where magic was all right."
"I too, grew up in a place where magic was commonplace. I too was overly curious, which eventually led to the deaths of my entire clan," Lucy says with a trace of sadness in her voice. "But I was curious about the warriors. The ones who physically defended the clan from outsiders, as they didn't believe in using magic for any kind of offensive capability. Just to heal, keep the crops growing, catching game, that kind of thing. They never knew what hit them. But at least I learned a lot from the warriors before I was adopted by my 'parents.' They didn't love me. They just wanted to have me for the sake of having a child." Lucy's conversation skews a bit to the side as she wobbles off track.
"Have you ever thought of having a child, Robert?" Lucy interjects.
Renos then nods softly and looks back at her, into her eyes. "Sure, I thought about it. While Kat was demanding I get her pregnant, I had to think about it quite a bit. I wouldn't mind." He then nods softly. "Magic is also in the way you...want it to work. I use tech as a focus. I have to imagine the fire bolt coming out of the gun. The fire being generating inside the gun. Then coming out through the gun."
"That's a lot of concentrating, Robert. I'm not so much into the brains, I don't think. I mean, I wouldn't cal myself a stupid, neither. Just, I dunno, average, I guess. But the things that I do well, I do /very/ well." Lucy picks up Renos hand and puts it on her silky thigh, holding it close before releasing it to do what it will, kissing the nape of his neck.
Renos smiles a little at that. "Its easier than it sounds. You just key your mind to do different things, and boom, it comes out. Its a lot like practice." He then looks down at the hand she placed upon her leg, his hand on her leg. He then sighs a little quietly. "I can understand that, Lucy. its nice to be proud of what you do." He then runs his hand along her leg slowly, down and then up, feeling the texture and silkiness of her skin.
"MMmm," Lucy nuzzles. "That feels nice," she says through closed eyes. "Do you know how to cook?" the woman asks out of the blue.
Renos smiles a little at that, and then keeps stroking her leg lightly. "Did you forget my chicken a la lucy all ready?" He teases lightly. "it does feel good, really good. What do you use to keep your skin smooth?"
"I get in trade for my services a special lotion that this guy in Dregstown makes. It's worth it, because, well... you can tell." Lucy giggles into his ear. "Do you play chess? Watch the vids? Tell me more about you that I don't know, Robert."
Renos smiles and then moves his hand a bit closer to somewhere under her short skirt. He then chuckles softly. "Um, watch vids sometimes. I don't have too many distractions, though, or I would never get anything done."
Lucy gently takes his hand and pushes it slightly down her leg, away from her skirt. "We're not quite there yet, honey," she says with lowered lashes. "Sorry if I was tease. But you can still stroke my leg, I like that." She pauses for a moment to let everything sink in, then says, "I like to watch the vids. Sometimes the documentaries, like the X-Files. It's fascinating to know what kinds of D-Bees there already were on Earth before the Apocalypse, dontcha think? But the comedians are great too. I like people who can make me laugh. To drive the point home, she tickles Renos again.
Renos laughs softly at that. "All right, hon. Just wondering." He then keeps his hand on her leg lightly. "Not sure there were debees on Earth before the apocalyse. I once asked a wandering scholar, and they said despite such recordings, there was little real evidence. A lot of people thought there were, but nothing conclusive." he then smiles a little. "I like some of them too."
"So you /never/ do anything but work, Robert? That must be a dull life for you. Are you sure that there's room in it for one more?" Lucy asks with a giggle. "All this talk of concentration and distraction. You must either be really good at what you do, or really, really bad."
Renos laughs lightly and streokes her leg a bit fondly. "No, its not that. I watch vids, go out and talk to people, used to visit with friends. Like i am now, play the guitar, cook meals. Swim sometimes. I work on enginers, and all sorts of other stuff."
Lucy sits up straight, her hair toussling itself behind the chair. "You swim! There are so few people who actually know how to swim, it's amazing! I love it when you play the guitar. But you should practice more," Lucy looks up into Renos' eyes with sincerity. Not being cruel, just perhaps being brutally honest. "What kind of vids do you like to watch? I like the action thrillers, but not so much the medical shows. Except the Operation show. Where they actually show you a real operation? I like that show. But not the mystery shows. I don't care for mysteries, vid or real life."
