Amber rolls her eyes and looks up at you, "Not heart-ache, its not like that with us. He was Dating that girl Vixen, but something happened with her, and we ended up talking, and he expressed interest in me." she sighs, having just opened the flood gate, she resists no more, "Anyway, he sounded so sincere, and then I saw him with Vixen the other day, and they were back together, and acting like nothing happened." she takes a breath, "And that was fine too, I sorta told him to do as much, and then today to see him with Maya like that..." she clears her throat, "Just made me realize how wrong I was about him."

"Really ... " Alistair blinks his eyes, looking to her. "So ... he is confused" he murmurs, then he frowns a little. "That is the result of a lack of control. He was drunk, too" he adds and pauses for a moment. "You could pay us a visit if you'd like, we can play a game to get your mind off it all" he comments and smiles, "Time mends a broken heart, and yours will too. Besides, youare a pretty woman and you'll have no problem finding interested men."

Zachary comes out of Raleigh's Apts with a slight glumness to his expression, his hands sunk into the pockets of his aviator jacket. He's chosen one of his smart, dark outfits this day, black pants and dark blue buttoned shirt with subtly glossy shoes. Stepping just outside the complex, he glances back towards it, his lips pursing as he considers the dwelling place behind him. Eyes searching and finding.. nothing. Then.. His head cocks and he turns his head to sweep the street. He did hear her. His glum evaporates before a broad smile as he removes his hands and starts to quickly walk towards Amber and Alistair. And has he comes near, he'll lift a hand to wave. "Ambrielle," he will call out to her a few moments before he gets near.

"Now i'm starting to think you're being difficult on purpose!" she says with a bit of a force smile, "Though I think i might like to take you up on the offer..." she stops as she looks around, having heard her name, her smile widening as her eyes fall on Zach. She skips a few steps, meeting him halfway, arms snaking around his waist, "You came back!" she says, no doubt in her voice, only a statement. She release and steps back, attempting to take Zach's hand and lead him towards Ali.

"Oh, I try not to, but sometimes it turns out that way" Alistair replies with a slight blush. He looks over towards Zachary, and then Ambrielle as she takes off and ... goes to fetch him a Zachary, apparently! He smiles too, "Hello!" he greets the Elf cheerfully. He tilts his head a little at the behavior of the two, brows hiking up just a touch.

"I promised," Zachary replies to Amber, the hug returned with ease on his part. Warm, if not too close but unrestrained otherwise. "I thought I might miss you today, I wanted to keep that promise as well," he adds as they part and she takes his hand, his fingers lacing with her own as she leads him towards Alistair. He nods to the man, his smile lingering. "Hello again, Alistair. How are you today?"

Amber shoots Alistair a quick glance, her eyes going a bit wide as she gives the tiniest shake of her head, trying her best to communicate how much she doesn't want him to share their previous conversation. "How was your trip?" she asks as she takes a step back, hand reaching out to take one of Zach's, the move unrefined, and a little hesitant.

"Well, thank you" Alistair smiles, nodding his head in reply to Zachary; he catches Ambrielle's look apparently; the previous conversation is left to the past. "A trip?" he asks, tilting his head a little at that, his features showing curiosity.

At the question to his trip, Zach's good mood fades just slightly. But the disturbance passes and replies to both, "It went smoothly. There was some trouble, but we had more guns than they did in the end," he says. "Not that I was much help, but I don't feel bad for it." He smiles at Amber, though a soft crease lingers in his brow. To Alistair he says, "I was providing transport to Tirzah and some others. To seek people to find gems to mind for in the area. She has some intent to make Techno-wizard devices meant to aid people."

Amber smiles up at Zach, head shaking, "Trouble involving guns does not sound like things going smoothly," she says, eyes narrowing a bit, "Did you find what you were looking for, at least?" she looks over again at Ali, smiling, offering a brief shrug before looking up at Zach as he hopefully elaborates a bit.

"Oh ... " says Alistair, blinking his eyes. "So ... there was fighting?" he asks, "With whom? Because this man Norwick was trying to recruit people to attack the coalition, and it would appear certain people joined up ... not surprising perhaps" he murmurs, shrugging sightly. He then smiles at both of them.

"Well, yes," Zachary replies to Amber. "The person that was wanted to help will help. Whether or not gems are found.." He shakes his head. "I don't know, though I suspect if she finds something,s he will want me to make her a device. Though I've not yet spent any time truly considering the make of it. I don't have the required spells, I believe. And I hardly have funds enough to purchase it." He then considers Alistair. "I've not heard of this Norwick person, but it was a warlock, I believe. One that was causing trouble. Killing people.. I'm not sure." As he speaks of what happened, his expression becomes more troubled. He starts to say more, but after a moment he shakes his head and is silent.

Amber watches the two men speak about the adventure, her eyes falling to the ground for a minute as her mind starts to wander. A brief head shake brings her back, her eyes once again on Zach. She hmms softly, but remains quiet as she listens.

"I never heard anything about this - well in any case, I think I'll have to go up to the refugee camp and see what's happening there" Alistair smiles, "So Iwill leave you two alone. Enjoy the rest of the day" he says, nodding his head, and starting on his way to the retreat.

Zachary nods his head once towards Alistair and smiles. "Very well, have a good day then." The removal of focus on the past removing some of his faintly consternation. and the rest flees when he looks to Amber, his smile widening. "How have you been. The few days I was away.." He pauses, hesitating a moment before he admits, "I thought of you." His hand discreetly squeezing her own.

Looks after Ali and sighs, her smile fading a moment as he walks off, seeming to look a little upset. She lets it melt away though as Zachary speaks, "I've been fine, working, went to the gym, did a little shopping." she shrugs, smiling, "Nothing at all exciting for me here, and I did missed you too!"

Zachary looks at Amber curiously as she seems bothered by Alistair's leaving. He looks after the man a moment before he looks to her, meeting the mutual note with a warm smile. "I'm glad.. not that I was away, but that you missed me." He pauses a moment and wonders, "Is something the matter? With him?" His eyes lifting after Alistair to add some context to the vague question.

Amber looks up at you and shakes her head, "Nah, I just think i was rude to him, and I sorta regret it now. I'm hoping i haven't hurt his feelings, or worse." she frowns, "But i've had enough disapointment for one day, and things seem to be perking up." she grasps you about the waist again, and looks up at you, her chin on your chest, "I'm happy you're back."

The intimacy of the embrace to come startles Zachary again. Still adjusting to being so near to someone, though he does relax slowly and return the embrace willingly, his smile for her a warm one. "I'm happy to be back. And to know your kindness again, Ambrielle." One of his hands lifts, softly stroking his fingers through the fringes of her hair. "If you were going to your abode, we can retire there for a time. Or whatever else you were to do. I just.. I want to spend some time with you."

"I don't really have anything in mind, I was just going to get changed, and maybe get lost in some work for a bit, but I think I can put that off for a while longer." she slides back to your side, her hand in yours as she hmmms, "Have you eaten?" she suggests.

"Yes.. I didn't think it right to come to you expecting food," Zachary replies. With her at his side, he starts to walk back into the complex. "But perhaps a treat. I did eat light, as I often do." He smiles, seeming contented with the moment between them. "Do you have a favorite flower?" Asked suddenly, his smile turned her way.

Amber grins up at you, her eyes shining, "I do, its a Lily, and My favourite colour is green, and really like fish, to eat, and winter is my favourite season." she blurts them all out, having, perhaps, made this list before hand, "Just a few things to make up for while you were gone." she offers as an explantaion, "I'm not really hungry myself, but it seemed like the natural first question, I'm happy to just walk around, I guess, I've no real plans."

"Then perhaps we might.. sit together? Inside?" Zach asking tentatively, this boon. An alluring thing given their last bout of it. Perfectly wicked, he, to actively seek it once more. Or so he seems to think. But he doesn't leave her admittance unanswered. I favor blue and silver. I prefer sweet fruit, the springtime and roses." His brow furrows slightly as he says, "You don't dislike roses, do you? Often it seems.. women favor them."

Amber looks up at her building and motions with her hand towards the entrance as she starts to head that way, "They're pretty, thats for sure, but the thorns always worry me, like they're just waiting for you to put your guard down." she grins playfully, and its hard to tell how serious she is as she turns to open the door to her building, holding the door for you.

"Oh, I wouldn't offer any with thorns," Zachary assures her before he suddenly closes his mouth, obviously having not meant to give away his intent. His cheeks pink softly as he smiles. "I.. I don't suppose you would be upset if I did get you some.. roses that is." The tall elf walking along with her, her own lightness of mood aiding him in remaining the same. Light.. untroubled by a small flub.

With her path practiced, routine to her now, Amber leads you up to her apartment, opening the door and leading you in, "Of course not, I've never gotten flowers before, so I guess I can't say for 100 percent that i wouldn't mind, but I'm going to assume that i'd like it!" she speaks in a sort of nerdy babble when she's around you, you might have noticed, something about you seeming to relax some of her defenses, "Can I get you anything to drink? I have fresh-ish juice?" she looks over at you smiling.

Zachary nods his head as Amber babbles, considering her response to the question as they go into her place. He thoughtful along the way, until they're in and she offers him juice. He smiles at that and nods his head once. "That would be wonderful," he tells her. He'll squeeze lightly, then release her hand to let her go before he considers her home once more. The disorderly state of it prompting a subtle note of concern. "Perhaps one day we can clean this place up a bit," he suggests lightly. To suggest it without a coloring note of disapproval to his tone. "I think it might help you," he adds, a light smile worn.

"Whats wrong with my place?" she calls out from the Kitchen, the sound of the fidge opening and closing following. A few moments later she leaves her kitchen nook and stands there, glass in hand, looking over her place, "Its maybe not all orderly, but its not that bad right? I have alot of stuff" she looks a little red and she approaches, handing you your drink and looking pleased before tossing herself on the couch and letting out a brief "ahhhh".

"Well no.. it isn't too bad," Zachary admits. Perhaps a bit grudgingly at that as she emerges with the juice. Despite it, he smiles at her as he takes it and when she goes to the couch, he follows close on her heels to settle down next to her. Almost, but not quite touching shoulders. He lifts his glass to drink deep, breathing out softly before he looks towards her. "I just.. wanted to offer. It's a bit more efficient when things are.. neat." Wavering between promoting his views and caution.

Amber kicks her shoes off, and puts her feet up on her table, crossing them at the ankles, her head leans back on the touch and rolls to look over at you, "What would you do, if you hard free reign to try to orgainze all this." she asks with a grin, her head moving to rest on your shoulder.

"Well.." Zach turns his head, considering the room he's in. Though her head touching his shoulder distracts from that and he finds too much thinking to be.. well, less appealing. Secretly, it's a wild thrill for him when he slowly lifts his near arm, slipping it over her shoulders gently. So bold, that motion, a vague clue to how much more it means to him visible in his eyes. "I would have to take some time.. evaluate your possessions, your storage and shelf space. A place for everything.. everything with a place. That is the way of it," he tells her ultimately.

The look goes unnoticed as Amber's eyes are closed as she leans against you, her free arm reaches out to rest against your stomach, her fingers squeezing a bit, "What you see is pretty much what you get." she says softly, "There's a closet over there, but its pretty small, and thats it, really." she smirks, "No secret stuff here."

"Then perhaps when we can get you some shelves.. a proper few items to make neat your home." A subtle stiffness touching Zach's posture when she reaches her free arm to rest across him. New.. but nice. He relaxes slowly and adds, "But.. as I said it isn't so bad. Something to consider for the future. If you are comfortable, then I can be as well. You are, aren't you?"

"I am comfortable, and I'm not really hear a lot, and most of the time I just like to sit here in the dark and stare at the ceiling, which is nice, and then I notice the clutter." her fingers tighten on your side and you can feel her attepmt a hug. "I'm always up for trying things out, I've mostly stopped getting things because i'm worried about where i'm going to put them. And shelves should be easy to put up, really.

"Oh yes, most are very easy," Zach replies. "There are also some that are relatively cheap to buy. No need to buy much more, if you have all you need. The less you have, the less cleaning is needed to keep it in order." The shift towards a hug is met with him leaning into her a little. The embrace something he knows and welcomes. "Some day soon, we can plan that.. and go looking for just the right shelf space for you. Once it is all neat, it won't take much effort to keep that way."

"For sure." she hmms, thinking for a momenet, "It probably wouldn't be that hard to make the adjustable too, maybe put them on little elevators so they could move up and down to make them easier to use or clean." she slides down your body as she thinks, her head finding its way to your lap once more, her calves resting on the arm of the couch, "Is it too dorky to want to mechanize everything?"

"Well, I suppose it is a bit unusual," Zach replies honestly, his eyes widening subtly. The feel of her moving against him like that.. also unusual to him. Thus there will be some stillness from him until she has laid her head down again. Familiar. His hands shift, the far going to stroke her hair, the near rising to touch her shoulder lightly. "It seems a bit unnecessary to me," he offers to her. A proper footstool, would he all you really need to dust off the shelves."

Amber smirks up at you, "Well people can walk places too, but we do love our vehicles! I think applying that same sort of progressive thinking to everthing I do is fun! Anytime I can eliminate a repetative task, I try to do it!" her lips are parted, teeth showing as she looks up at you, her happieness seeming to beam off her.

And that happiness reflects back at her, contagious to the tall elf who so gently strokes her hair. "I suppose you might be right.. it might work well with some thought on just what you want to accomplish." And, for the time they spend together, he will be willing enough to banter lightly about that idea. And others that might come to mind. Contented to spend hours with her. Sitting close with these gentle touches. Sharing ideas. Listening to her voice, watching her talk. A simple contentment that relaxes him to the point that their closeness barely registers as anything but natural for him.

Amber's eyes close as she smiles, a slight wiggle taking over her body for a moment and moves, rolling over on her side, facing the back of the couch, her head resting on your thigh, still, her arms encircling your waist, "Sometimes I like to think about things, I'll probably not ever work on them, but I like imagining them." she smiles cuddling, "I like that you tell me things straight, I don't know what i'd do if you ever lied to me." her voice almost a whisper as sighs contently.

"I won't lie to you," Zach assures Amber. "That would.. I just couldn't." The thought of it concerning him softly, but he shakes the thought away and won't let it spoil the time. He wouldn't. Never.
